No AI-generated content in your campaign, never an AI game master, no training on your data, and your audio is deleted the moment processing finishes. Unlike generic meeting transcribers, GM Assistant is purpose-built for tabletop RPGs, producing the most accurate and detailed session notes you can get from a campaign recording.

Key features

Upload a recording, get session notes

Record your session however you already do, whether that’s Discord, Craig, a phone on the table or OBS. Upload the audio and GM Assistant turns it into organized session notes. You don’t need anyone at the table taking notes.

Recaps you can read aloud

Every session gets a short two-paragraph recap to open the next game with, plus a detailed scene-by-scene breakdown for when you need specifics. Memorable moments are pulled out as shareable cards.

NPCs, locations and items, tracked for you

The NPCs your players met, the places they went and the loot and spells they picked up are extracted from each session and cataloged. That makes it easy to remember the innkeeper’s name three months later.

Any system, many languages

D&D 5E, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Daggerheart and homebrew all work, because it’s built for GMs, not one game. English is fully supported, and French, German and Spanish are in beta, with more languages in early access.

Multi-track audio and speaker labels

Upload one track per player (Craig-style Discord recordings) and the notes label who said what, so character actions get attributed to the right player.

AI that records your game, without all the crap

GM Assistant uses AI only to capture what actually happened at your table. It never generates plots, backstories or art. We never train AI on your recordings or notes, your audio is deleted as soon as processing finishes, and the AI vendors we use are held to zero retention. Your notes are yours: export them to Markdown for Obsidian, download your whole campaign, or use the developer API.

Pay how you want

Your first session is free. After that, subscribe or buy pay-as-you-go credit packs that never expire. Unused subscription credits roll over, and you can pause your subscription when your group takes a break.

Better looks and higher INT not guaranteed, this is based off a statistical average. Correlation is not causation. #TTRPG #DungeonsAndDragons

Margo

Universal
Margo is a browser-based AI brainstorming tool for original characters, backstories, personalities and short story ideas. For tabletop players and GMs, it can help explore possible histories, motives, relationships and scene starting points for original RPG characters and NPCs. A user supplies a character or premise and chooses the kind of idea to explore. The resulting directions are material to select, revise and adapt to the table's setting. Its backstory and personality tools can support character preparation when a player has a rough concept but wants alternatives for how that person became who they are or might react under pressure. Margo also serves fandom and original-fiction writers. Generated suggestions need human review for consistency, accuracy and suitability, especially when using an established setting. It does not verify game rules or canon, and it is not a virtual tabletop or character-sheet system. The product offers a one-time signup allowance of 50 Sparks, valid for 7 days. Continued use is available through paid monthly plans or one-time Spark packs. Current prices and conditions are on its pricing page.

Modern AGE

Sci-fi
Rules-medium
Modern AGE is a genre-toolkit tabletop roleplaying game covering everything from the Industrial Revolution to the near future, published by Green Ronin Publishing in 2018 and designed by a team credited as Matthew Dawkins, Meghan Fitzgerald, Sian Ingham, Steve Kenson, Alejandro Melchor, Chris Pramas, and Malcolm Sheppard. Rather than shipping with a fixed setting, it hands a table the rules to build gritty two-fisted action, pulp adventure, urban fantasy, or a dystopian near-future campaign from the same core book. The system is built on the Adventure Game Engine (AGE), the same engine Green Ronin uses for Dragon Age, Fantasy AGE, and Blue Rose, built here as a fully classless implementation rather than the class-based approach those other lines use. Description Characters are built from backgrounds and life experience rather than a class list, advancing across 20 levels while a table decides for itself what kind of modern-ish game they're actually playing - a two-fisted pulp game, a grounded action thriller, an urban fantasy campaign with magic running underneath the modern world, or something further out toward science fiction.  The Game Master leans on the same optional Arcane and Psychic Power rules whether they're running secret agents, monster hunters, or conspiracy investigators, turning them on only for the campaigns that need them. It's built to be picked up by a group who already knows roughly what modern-day game they want to run and just needs a flexible, classless chassis to build it on, rather than a game with a setting of its own to sell.
