7th Sea 2e - The New World Order

Hi! My name's Caleb. I'm a queer 33 y/o artist by trade (and also for fun). I have an established group of other artists and creatives, and we're specifically hoping to find a fellow artist to join us. No specific skill level in mind, we just really like the idea of playing with other like-minded people! I'm running Curse of Strahd! We have one very established character (coming over from a previous CoS campaign that ended very early) and a few character ideas floating around, but we're all very much in the beginning stages of forming everything. We're looking to start playing early next year, giving us good time to plan, bond, and also avoid any holiday scheduling conflicts! We make playlists, art, moodboards, do written RP for downtime, etc. Very engaged group! I build strong narratives, and incorporate player backstory into the main plot as much as I can. Curse of Strahd is lethal, and you can easily stumble into a TPK if you don't take it seriously. So please keep that in mind. We're looking for someone who wants to take the game very seriously, while having fun. We have a diverse, queer table and we're looking for others who fit in. We haven't started the campaign yet! Please note some of the following: - This game most likely has this static time slot: 7PM-11PM EST, every other Wednesday. The day could potentially change, but it is most likely going to be the Wednesday. And no, the timeslot unfortunately will not be changed. - late 20's-40's in age - looking for people 30+ ideally. Do not apply if you are a teenager or in your very early 20s, your application will be deleted immediately. - roughly 60/40, roleplay/combat ratio - romance, flirtation and fade-to-black intimacy is always permitted at my table. Everything else will be table veils and lines. - my tables usually have a species list (humans and variants, all elves, genasi, tieflings, changelings always being standard, but I am open to homebrew and other suggestions.) - Discord for VC, Foundry VTT - D&D 5e - zero tolerance for AI in any part of your character creation - while sometimes it can't be helped, I am looking for someone who definitely wants to see this through to the end. Please be committed to the game. It will not be short. - Curse of Strahd has many difficult themes. The Lord has been taking people away and they have never been seen again  And you realise your senses can't be trusted as your starting to see things that is making your psyche break.  What is happening? What is this strange illness that's spreading in Seabrooke and why does it not stop with a cleric or a paladin touch

Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, casual, beginner-friendly Forgotten Realms based homebrew campaign, with an emphasis on story & adventures Ratio: 60 Roleplay/30 Exploration/10 Combat Starting level is 1, Point Buy, Milestone leveling Spells become cantrips, a player can cast them without components or GP Cooldown of spells depends from their power level & the DM's will, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher  Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed HP are cinematic. Depending from how much & what kind of damage a character receives, i'll adjust his condition Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About forbidden spells As an example, this is only level 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise), a player casts a spell that speedruns a campaign But a player can prepare all other spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)
