City of Mist One Shot

Premise In the city of Archester, there has always been strange things hiding behind the mist of every corner in the city. However this time, the horror hides just by the outskirts of the city... an unsuspecting rundown motel that looks just like any of the other buildings in the outskirts that are unfortunately not important enough to be maintain by the City's governor or other major private developers. Legend has it that some of the guests that checked into the motel were never seen again... or stories of a cult living inside of the motel have also been heard... And the strangest thing is that just like any other rumour, this very motel seems to have been popping up at different corners of the city... Would you be daring enough to find out the truth of this urban legend? Planning to run a campaign eventually with WFRP next year but planning a few oneshots in Oct/Nov/Dec. Will be using Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th edition (only just released) I hope To find some like minded players or just to have a oneshot laugh with new people and maybe bring some people to the game. Beginners more than welcome (some of my group are from DnD and new to Warhammer). If you’re interested drop me a message and tell me a bit about you. For the oneshots I will likely make a load of varied characters with enough choice that there will be something you want to play. This is so that we can get straight into it and learn the rules as we go. Likely play on Weekends usually at Arcanists Tavern in Hackney. For those new to Warhammer: it’s a more grim and more perilous world, set in the Human empire, you have a species: Human, dwarf, halfling, high elf, wood elf. Career: each career has 4 tiers and the idea is you progress in this (or swap to a more appealing one) you may start as a Grave robber but end up as Indiana Jones/Lara Croft type. No game breaking abilities but powerful nonetheless. A bit about me: in my 40s. Group is 30-40s but anyone welcome. I’ve run WFRP as a kid (1st Ed) and as an adult have run 2nd edition. I also play in two DnD 5e campaigns and have DMd a 5e campaign. I plan to go back to Warhammer, love the setting and find the lower power and more brutal Warhammer appealing rather than the quick power jumps. Hi everyone! A friend and I have recently moved to London and are looking for players for the campaign Phandelver and Below: the Shattered Obelisk in the Forgotten Realms setting. We need 2-3 more people and I am happy to accommodate new players as well as experienced ones. We hope to play every Friday evening at our flat in Colindale for about 4 hours. Here's a little about how i run my games as the DM: - 5.5e D&D (2024) - Plenty of opportunities for roleplay, exploration and tactical combat - A relaxed tone focused on allowing everyone to have fun and be invested in the campaign - I'm a relatively new DM (this will be my 2nd campaign), so a bit of patience and respect will go a long way. As long as everyone engages with the story and each other, I'm sure we'll gel well. - I ask that you make your character on D&D Beyond as we use its in-built VTT for combat, so please bring a laptop or tablet (you won't need to pay for anything don't worry) We are both in our 20s and so hope to find people of a similar age. We are willing to be flexible though, so long as you can have a laugh but also be mature when the scenario calls for it. We are inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly and hope to foster a welcoming environment within the group.
