Description

Game Medium: Foundry Game Time/Date: Thursday starting at 6:30 PM CST (Session 0 will be on June 18 and campaign will continue bi-weekly) Game Length: Unspecified (I cannot guarantee a length for this game only that I will endeavor to make it enjoyable) Number of Players Needed: 5 (I already have one and need four more) Game Concept Summary: This game will take place in a high-fantasy world that I have worked on and played other games in over the past few years, most of those other games have been D&D. Thus explaining the setting itself, but I want to branch out and try other systems that offer a different experience but I don't feel too great about leaving all that convenient world-building behind especially since I have a lot to work with. So if you are interested, do keep in mind that all the stuff that Masks usually offers will be themed and flavored to match the setting so please come to the table expecting such. Listed below this sentence is the actual campaign pitch itself:
On the Continent of Esath, people lead normal lives, uninterrupted by the world-shaking events happening down south, though one day, a star seems to fall from the heavens one night, leading to wide-spread alarm. Drawn-in by the promise of adventure and intrigue, a group of strange individuals decides to head north in search of that fallen light, these people are you.
Playbook Restrictions: None Safety Tools: The application itself will ask about Lines and Veils and I will speak with each player who joins the game individually to confirm those as well Application: Log in to view

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Campfire embers are the last thing you remember. Whether you were traveling alone or guarding a merchant caravan, the wilderness suddenly went dead silent. Then came the masked attackers—too many, too coordinated, and overwhelmingly lethal. Your camp was slaughtered. But you? You were taken. You awaken in darkness, bound in heavy chains deep underground. If you ever want to feel the sun on your face again, you and your fellow captives must forge a desperate alliance, break free, and survive an escape that will spiral into a world-spanning epic. PRICE: $20 (through PayPal or Venmo) / Session —> Session 0 is free and the first official session is 50% off. The price is negotiable, but everyone at the table's gotta pay the same thing so it's fair.   I also offer "bundles" at a discounted rate. WHAT YOU GET: —> you get to embark on a full homebrew campaign spanning from levels 2 to high teens (possibly even level 20) campaign with personal character arcs tailored to your character’s backstories woven in with the overall narrative. —> there is also an artist in my server that will do a frww character portrait art for each new character in the server SCHEDULE: Sundays (weekly) starting at 10am PST. Games will run 4-5 hours. ---> I will be running this game additional days of the week. Same campaign, different players on the following days and times: --------> Tuesdays starting 1030am PST --------> Wednesdays starting at 1030am PST --------> Thursday (Bi Weekly) starting at 230 PST --------> Fridays starting at 1030am PST Just tying to fill up one table at a time. WHERE: the game will be played on Foundry VTT whith voice chat done through Discord. —> I have a new server for the purposes of hosting my games as well as creating a new D&D community SAFETY FIRST: A supportive environment is a priority. Players will fill out a quick RPG Comfort Questionnaire featuring a Lines & Veils section to ensure everyone has a safe, fantastic time at the virtual table. OTHER DETAILS: —> To perfectly fit the unique history and regions of Wysteria, your starting character must be a non-PHB (Player's Handbook) species. This only for your first character, —> we will be using the primarily the 2024 ruleset with some favored 2014 mechanics in addition to various homebrew rules that will be discussed at Session 0 Ready to see the sun again? Send a direct message to @acedespadas on Discord or directly here for to inquire for more. If you’re a great fit for the table, I’ll send over the lore primers and everything you need to start building your character! A BIT ABOUT ME: Hello, my name is Aron, I’m 34 and I started playing this game as the forever DM just before COVID hit and have been DMing multiple weekly games since. I am for the most part fairly introverted which this hobby has helped deal with, and while I may not do all the little funny voices (it’s a thing I’m working on) I’m a sucker for the Rule of Cool and a good story! And what better story then one you build together as a collaboration with other like minded individuals?! Outside of D&D my interests revolve heavily around music, movies, and other general nerd things

Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

Im doing a best of 4e style Campaign. Currently level 8. Just looking fir a few players to make up for a few that left.  We are roleplayers not rollplayers, unfortunately the discord as great as the people there are, are mostly rollplayer combat people.  So recruiting from  there hasn't worked.  Working on owlbear rodeo, but its mostly digital maps/theature of the mind, im not that tech savy.  The game here will be set to needing 3, but its ongoing, almost  every other thursday 7pm est. Most of my players are part time and im trying to get a solid foundation.
