As Game master, I want the players to have so much fun, that the players are inspired to buy the books to share the game with friends. I have devised a Prelude to "The Fall of PlaugeStone". 1. You HUMAN (yes. You with only one REAL Gender) are brought to a world of Magic and Monsters.  Right in the midst of Tar Baphon's undead army marching south: Skeletons, zombies, ghouls, ghosts, vampires, liches. Surrounded by Goblinblood war veterans: Goblins, Orcs, Hobgoblins, Bugbears, Lizardfolk, Ogres, hill giants and trolls. Where the cultists of the Whispering Way (Tar Baphon) and the bloated abomination of glutony, disease, death, undeath... "Urgathoa" Whose appetites include Canibalism and Necrophilia (sex with the dead), cultists of Rovagug also wreak havoc! Cultists of Ghlaunder spread pestilence, parasites, sores, rot and disease. Zon-Kuthon's Nidaliesse servants spread their faith of pain, suffering, and despair into the nation of Isger. These are not the only Evils roaming the country side; the possesed, the insane, the wicked, predators of all kinds seek to ruin, torture, slay, lay waste, and destroy... 2. You appear as yourself at your youthful peak, with faded vauge memories of another world, another life. All of you trapped inside a Stone Storage house full of seed, tools, Bags/barrels/sealed jars of the Harvests. The families who owned these farms are dead. Outside, Hordes of undead roam in search of prey.  3. Borth Bargrith's Caravan Arrives, the assorted peoples wield Steel and spell to carve a path to the storehouse! They seek to gather provisions from the Storage house. They find you. none of you can understand anything these strange warriors say... until Bort Bargrith Gives you a ring "Bort's Words". The magical ring enables you to understand and speak the language! you translate for the others. "We need to leave now, you lot have this salvage which pays for your seats in the caravan, and more"...  You can buy 20 gold of starting equipment, Training in the languages, various backgrounds, and yes, classes with magic rings like "Bort's Sword", "Bort's Will", and "Bort's Path" to greatly accelerate your education!  4. NO ONE CAN PLAY A NECROMANCER, NOR FOLLOW AN EVIL FAITH. YOU SURVIVE TOGETHER OR NOT AT ALL! HATRED of the Sinful and EVIL compells many to draw steel to destroy corruptions where they find them! Sounds harsh, I know, but considerations for how things work in Reality, as well as the Fantasy campaign setting, timeline, and geography, are in play. This continent-spanning campaign takes place in 535 PA. In the wake of a war that is still relatively recent, tensions are high between the countries of Ingentes. Banditry has been rising to alarmingly common levels, Druidic and Arcane magic is outlawed and seen a "Witchcraft" by the Holy Elysian Chamber, and no matter where you go, fear of the other countries and monsters that lurk in the dark is prevalent. This negativity is exactly what the forces that would destroy Ingentes need to spark the fires of war. In this campaign, each player makes their own character and their own decisions. I have an overarching storyline, but there are plenty of branching paths and objectives that allow the heroes to do as they please. I plan to make this campaign an open-world westmarch, where the players are free to do whatever they like, whether that's forming one big group or multiple small ones! If any of you want to form a splinter group or go on a solo adventure, that's allowed! This campaign features hack-and-slash adventure, dungeon crawling, mysteries, and political intrigue. There's something for everyone in this campaign, and a full map to explore with a campaign that's written as you progress! To make this easier for everyone, this is a playbypost campaign, a text-based adventure over Discord with no official start or stop: I'll be regularly available almost every day to DM, and the weekly payment will happen every Sunday.
