Description

I’m looking for 1-2 extremely cool people to play in my upcoming Mythcraft Campaign. To join me and my friends in a very Castlevania inspired gothic horror campaign, where the ultimate goal is to defeat Dracula himself before he can establish a reign of eternal darkness. Investigate twisting plots, navigate dark dungeons, and battle fearsome monsters as you grow stronger alongside a legendary artifact of your choice, while trying to maintain your sanity in the face of growing horror. Mythcraft is a d20 based system which should be familiar to fans of D&D and pathfinder but with a modular “skill tree” based class/talent system, perfect for allowing you to build your ideal gothic fantasy hero/heroine/horror etc Strong familiarity with and affinity for the Castlevania games and gothic horror in general is a huge plus. If interested please message me on discord at toma_n7 and we can hash out more details Currently looking at Saturday nights, 6:30PM EST-10:30PM

A Thrilling Murder Mystery, Levels 4 - 6

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
You are a couple of seasoned travelers about to be dragged into something a lot more than you bargained for. This is a tale of emotion, terror, and tragedy; but also one of heroism, something the people of Neverwinter desperately need as they struggle against a serial killer. This short adventure goes from levels 4 - 6 for a party of 3 – 5 players. The game is designed to run anywhere between 4 – 8 sessions and focuses on mystery, horror, a decent amount of combat, and thrilling and dramatic roleplay! Session 0 is free, and we focus on expectations there, so everyone knows what they’re getting into.  Further Details and how to join here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmuss8jfq01dkl9043evcktv7?ref=cl364he035phabopk9zps3nif I have a few other games listed on my profile if this doesn't work; you can check that, and more information about me and my style here: https://startplaying.games/gm/627fe21745eac1ca56eb8f72

Hi.  I run a game on Discord, Tuesday nights, 7 PM Eastern.  It’s a fantasy game…sometimes.  It’s sci-fi set in Shanghai…well, maybe next week.  It was a western a week ago, I think, or was that gothic horror? The game has you as a special agent, traveling to alternate histories for a massive, multi-reality travel agency.  Because all possibilities are possible, you can be whatever you want (within reason, about as powerful as an X-Man/Teen Titan and you must appear as human or at least as something that’s common in reality like a squirrel or something that could wear a holo projector to appear human).  Our group has a Fae cowboy, and a dieselpunk femme fatale.  In the past we've had robots, intelligent sand, hive-mind insect swarms and so on.  You come up with the concept and we’ll make it happen.   The game uses GURPS – a very old, crunchy and confusing game engine.  However, you will not have to do anything, just tell me what you want & I do the numbers.  I (the GM) am so backwards that we do not use AI or software.  I use a paper map and puppets. A bit about the group.  We may have one person, maybe more, leaving and we need a replacement.  This is not set in stone & cannot guarantee this will happen.  The group is mostly younger (20’s-30’s) & mostly women.  Therefore, I would prefer anyone joining to be a woman or at the very least not be weird about it.  This will get you immediately banned.  Please be nice and professional.   If you hate your office job or capitalism in general,  this is the game for you! We’re looking for the following: Foremost is a good personality and a sense of humor.  You can be shy and awkward (shy & awkward people often have the best senses of humor).  Juat don’t bring the mood down.  Next is consistency.  We’d prefer someone that can show up.  We play once per week, and you will need to consider that if you feel it will be an issue.  Finally, we are newb friendly and pro LGBT.  All we ask that you don’t be a jerk.   We do sometimes say naughty words and drink adult beverages.  Well, at least I do.  Please contact me via Discord (@yeroldpalwill).  I respond quickly.  The application is optional,  but the questions are philosophical and thought provoking-ish. This is actually a very special thing we have going on so please take that in consideration.  It's not your average game.  I'd suggest listening in first & you can make up your mind from there.  Thanks.  I do hope to hear from someone.   Hope its you.  Like,  seriously.  Please reach out.   If this is of any interest to you at all, please message me.  I'm probably not going to.  There are no coincidences.  If you are reading this, you are following destiny.  Please join.

Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!
