Description

I need help testing my new Wild West TTRPG's combat so that I can get it campaign-ready through balancing. Feel free to reach out and give it a combat bout or two. Minimum party members for a combat engagement so that class strength against enemies can be properly tested.  I'm available Mon-Fri after 8PM CST and I'm off on weekends. We only have a few people, so I'd like as many people as possible to join and have fun, as I'm trying every day to get combat engagements together. The more fights, the less time it'll take to balance the game.

Woe To The Wicked - Alpha Version 44 Playtest

Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
ABOUT THE PLAYTEST Join a one-shot playtest of Woe To The Wicked, an original fantasy tabletop RPG set in a world scarred by the Last War. Help us refine Alpha v44 through play and feedback. THE SYSTEM Simple rules, complicated situations. Expect exploration, roleplay, tactical combat, and meaningful choices, with room for creative solutions. NEW PLAYERS WELCOME No tabletop experience or rulebook memorization required. We'll teach as we play, answer questions, and help you get started. Pregenerated characters and quick references are available. WHAT TO BRING Bring curiosity, respect for others, and a willingness to learn and cooperate. Acting experience and character voices are optional—just describe what your character wants to try. WHAT TO EXPECT This is a game in development, so expect some rough edges and occasional rules discussion. Honest feedback about what feels fun, clear, or confusing is welcome.

LOOKING FOR 3–5 PLAYERS — IN-PERSON TTRPG PLAYTEST Location: Millbrook / Prattville / Wetumpka, with the Montgomery area also an option Format: In-person tabletop RPG Genre: Fantasy adventure Experience: None required — new and experienced players welcome Character Creation: Required as part of the playtest. You'll be building your own character rather than having me build one for you. I'll be available to answer rules questions, but I specifically want to see how well a new player can navigate character creation on their own. Schedule: Flexible evenings or weekends System: UNBOUND, a custom TTRPG system I'm developing I'm looking for 3–5 players to help playtest UNBOUND, an anti-essentialist, leveled point-buy TTRPG built around one idea: Build the character you actually want to play, instead of choosing a class and being told what that character is supposed to be. UNBOUND doesn't lock you into traditional class archetypes. You build your character through Build Points, Perks, Limitations, and attributes, allowing you to develop in whatever direction fits your concept. Combat is dynamic, using Active Defenses, contested rolls, and armor as a percentage-based damage reduction system. Magic is intentionally flexible, and healing isn't restricted to one dedicated “healbot” class. The goal of the playtest is to actually put these ideas through their paces at a real table — see what works, find what doesn't, and have some fun while we're doing it. No prior experience with TTRPGs is necessary. You don't need to know any systems going in; character creation is part of the playtest, and I'll walk everyone through it. The Player's Guide, GM's Guide, and Martial Arts Handbook are already available on the UNBOUND Discord. Send me a message and I'll give you an invite so you can look them over before deciding whether you'd like to play. Interested? Message me. Even if you're curious but not sure yet, feel free to reach out and ask questions.

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for adventurers! Have you always wanted to try D&D but never had the chance? Or are you a seasoned adventurer looking for a relaxed, story-focused table? I’m looking for players to join me for Lost Mine of Phandelver, a classic D&D 5e adventure filled with exploration, roleplay, dungeon delving, and plenty of opportunities for your characters to become the heroes of the story. 🎲 About the Game * System: D&D 5e * Adventure: Lost Mine of Phandelver * Experience Level: Beginners absolutely welcome! * Table: 18+ * GM Experience: 2 years * Style: Rule of Cool > Rules As Written * Tone: Adventure, exploration, roleplay, comedy, and classic fantasy * LGBTQ+ Friendly: 🏳️‍🌈 Everyone is welcome at my table I’m a relatively laid-back GM who cares more about everyone having a great time than stopping the game every five minutes to consult a rulebook. If something makes sense for the story and doesn’t completely break the game, I’m usually willing to roll with it. Creativity is encouraged. If you have an idea that isn’t explicitly covered by the rules, tell me what you’re trying to do and we’ll figure it out together. 🌟 New Players Welcome Never played D&D before? That’s completely fine. I’ll help you learn the basics as we play, explain rules when they come up, and give you room to learn without feeling like you’re being tested. You don’t need to know what every action, bonus action, reaction, spell slot, or mysterious collection of numbers on your character sheet means before we start.
