About the Game WISH: Wilds, Isolation, Sorcery & Havoc drops modern-day people into a strange, untamed world where magic just woke up and so did five rival ideologies. We’re playing with the Aftermath! system (survival first, hard choices always) plus a light layer of mystical rules that the characters must discover in play. Campaign Premise You awaken in a deep forest with no gear, no answers, and a handful of other survivors. As you learn to hunt, craft, and improvise tools, you also discover that some of you can channel forces you don’t understand. Early leaders splinter into factions that will shape the new world: Laws of Magic – Tablet-and-edict faith that regulates magic with strict codes. The Embrace – Community-first spellcraft used openly for the common good. Magic Militia – “Power protects” weaponized magic in disciplined ranks. School of Balance – Druids and scholars keeping nature and sorcery in harmony. Council of Mundus – Anti-magic inquisitors who ban and punish all use. As a player, you’ll struggle to survive, choose who to trust, negotiate with towns, and decide what magic should (or shouldn’t) be. What to Expect Engaging Storytelling: Mystery, exploration, and faction politics with real consequences. Survival Meets Sorcery: Foraging, crafting, and base-building—plus risky new spells. Player Agency: Your choices steer laws, trade routes, and whether magic is regulated, shared, militarized, balanced, or banned. Collaborative Play: Social intrigue, skill challenges, and tactical encounters, combat when it matters. New to TTRPGs? Perfect. Beginner-Friendly: We’ll teach Aftermath! and the setting as we go. Join us for a two-session "extended one-shot" adventure in Starfinder 2e! No experience is required—this game is perfect for newcomers to Starfinder or Pathfinder who want to learn the system, and veterans are absolutely welcome (just expect a slightly slower pace as others learn the ropes). All 1st-level pre-generated characters and dice will be provided. You'll just need a laptop or Chromebook, as character sheets will be shared through Demiplane. (Demiplane account is free, but required) Adventure Hook Your long-haul space freighter finally touches down at the bustling hub of Absalom Station, but the moment you arrive, things go sideways as they always do. Without your knowledge, the ship's been sold off to another company, along with your jobs. Suddenly stranded, broke-ish, and with nowhere to be for the first time in months, you and your plucky crew find yourselves with only a few credits, no responsibilities, and a station full of possibilities. Sure, things look a little dire… But they've also been boring. Time to fix that. Campaign Overview: The Rebuilding of Minkai Our ongoing Pathfinder adventure takes place in Tian Xia, within the storied empire of Minkai. The campaign begins in the aftermath of the fall of the Jade Tyrant, when the empire, long under the shadow of corruption and foreign influence, finally begins to heal. Though the usurper’s reign has ended, Minkai is far from stable: provinces are in disarray, local lords jockey for power, and ancient forces once suppressed by imperial rule begin to stir again. The player characters are not wandering adventurers, but agents of the Imperial Land Survey, a newly reconstituted branch of the bureaucracy charged with restoring order to the countryside. Their work is part political mission, part humanitarian effort, and part exploration. They travel through villages and remote provinces to reestablish borders, assess damages, and resolve local disputes—often uncovering supernatural or political threats lurking just beneath the surface. If you are interested, we play Bi-Weekly. This is a beginner-friendly game; you don't need any experience with Pathfinder or role-playing in general to join. If you feel uncomfortable generating a character for this game, the GM can help or provide you with one. We are playing Pathfinder 2e (remastered) and play rules-as-written. However, joining this game requires access to a laptop, a licensed copy of Pathbuilder 2e ($5), and availability to play every other Saturday.
