The Bells of Veyr
Hey yall!
I'm an experienced DM based in Italy, looking to bring together 4–6 players for a new adventure set in an original world within a larger multiverse I've been developing for years.
I'm not looking for a party of strangers who happen to travel together because the plot requires it. I'd love to build a group of characters who already matter to one another.
Friends, siblings, families, former/current lovers, rivals, people bound by oaths or shared mistakes. Relationships that can grow, deteriorate, heal, and genuinely influence the story.
What I'm looking for
Players who enjoy roleplaying, character development, emotional storytelling, and contributing to a shared narrative.
You don't have to be an experienced roleplayer or voice actor. I'd much rather have somebody who's curious, kind, engaged, and willing to give other players room to shine.
Each character will begin with meaningful connections to at least two other party members, developed collaboratively during Session Zero.
I particularly value players who are interested in other characters' stories, not just their own.
There will be exploration, danger, mysteries, and combat, but I want the emotional consequences of our decisions to matter just as much as the mechanical ones.
Tone and boundaries
Expect a world of old castles, haunted estates, beautiful and unsettling places, complicated people, and morally difficult choices. But also expect for the possibility of changing setting, based on the party's overall choices, preferences, etc.
If there will be horror it will lean toward atmosphere, tragedy, psychological unease, and the supernatural rather than constant graphic violence.
This is explicitly an LGBTQ+ inclusive table. Respect for other players and their boundaries is essential.
We'll discuss content boundaries and expectations before starting. Nobody will be required to engage in anything they're uncomfortable with.
A little about me
I love building interconnected worlds, creating characters with their own motivations, and allowing players to genuinely change the direction of a story.
Some of my favorite moments in D&D are the quiet ones: an unexpected conversation, a difficult reconciliation, a decision made because a character cares about someone.
I'd like to find people who enjoy those moments too.
I'm hoping to begin with a shorter story arc and see whether we want to turn it into something longer.
Interested?
Send me a Reddit DM with a short introduction, your time zone and availability, your experience with tabletop RPGs, and what appeals to you about this kind of campaign.
I'd also love to hear about a fictional relationship, from any story, that you found particularly compelling, and what made it memorable.
I'll arrange a brief chat with prospective players before organizing Session Zero.
No first-come-first-served selection. I'd rather find a group with compatible expectations and good chemistry.
Thanks for reading. I'd love to build something memorable together.
