I'm recruiting for a weekly One Ring campaign, to be run on Friday nights at 7:30pm CST. The setting is Tolkien's Middle-earth between the events of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. You don’t need prior knowledge of the system, and the other players are also new to the game. There is one requirement: that you’ve read one of the books or seen one of the movies. You don't need to be a Tolkien scholar, but it’ll certainly help if you know what a hobbit is. Both beginner and experienced gamers are welcome. I've been GMing for over 4 decades, so this isn't my first outing. We'll use Discord for voice, Foundry VTT for sheets, dice and such, and a wiki for campaign journaling. Sessions will run 3 – 4 hours. The One Ring system is not complex and does an excellent job of evoking the feel of Tolkien’s works. I'll teach the system and host the VTT, so there’s no expense from the player side.
