Codex Cryptica

Overview

Codex Cryptica is an AI-assisted worldbuilding and campaign management tool built around a living knowledge graph instead of a folder of loose documents. Every character, faction, location, and event you create becomes a linked entity, so your world stays connected and explorable as it grows. Genre-agnostic across fantasy, sci-fi, cyberpunk, horror, post-apocalyptic, western, steampunk, and more.

Key features

Worldbuilding & Lore

Entities link automatically into a visual relationship graph. A full chronology view (calendar + timeline) tracks your world's history, and multi-generation family trees keep lineages straight without manual bookkeeping.

AI Co-Author

The Lore Oracle grounds every suggestion in your existing lore rather than generating generic filler. Dedicated generators cover NPCs, factions, settlements, magic items, languages, and full dungeon/delve locations. Complete with an interactive room-by-room Dungeon Canvas and GM dossier for anything you generate.

Play & Session Tools

A tactical VTT map, in-app group voice chat, and a Session Hub for prepping and running games sit alongside your lore. No separate tool needed to go from "wrote it" to "ran it."

Share & Collaborate

Publish a read-only link so players can browse the parts of your world you choose to share, even while you're offline. GM-only notes and hidden content stay private automatically.

Local-First

Codex Cryptica stores your campaign world directly in your browser instead of a server you don't control. There's no account required to start building, and no vendor deciding when your data is available. Your vault syncs optionally to Google Drive for backup and cross-device access, but the source of truth stays local. You can work fully offline, and generators fall back to local tables when there's no connection, so a dead wifi signal never stops a prep session. Because nothing is locked behind a proprietary format, you can export your vault as a set of plain Markdown files at any time, or import worlds built in other tools. The result is a campaign manager that behaves like a personal notebook rather than a subscription service. Your world exists whether or not Codex Cryptica's servers do.

Generators

Cryptica's public generators are AI powered RPG content tools covering NPCs, factions, locations, items, quests, languages, full dungeon/delve locations, and more! Each generator is theme-aware, adapting output to fantasy, sci-fi, cyberpunk, horror, post-apocalyptic, western, steampunk, and other genres rather than sticking to one setting. Subsequent generations can be aware of previous content, and use that in its generation, enabling a full session of world building just from the generators. Generated results can be copied directly for use at the table, or saved into a local Codex Cryptica vault to become a linked entity in a larger campaign world, connected to the characters, factions, and locations already there. The generators is also available inside Codex Cryptica for world aware generations.

Audio & Music

Kenku FM is a specialized high fidelity audio sharing application designed specifically for tabletop gaming over Discord. Created by the developers of Owlbear Rodeo, it was released in 2022 to provide a reliable, high quality alternative to traditional Discord music bots. It functions as a standalone virtual browser and media player that acts as a bridge, streaming audio directly from a user's computer into a Discord voice channel with minimal latency and superior sound quality. Description Kenku FM solves the common problem of sharing immersive music and sound effects during online TTRPG sessions. Instead of relying on buggy cloud bots that often face copyright shutdowns, Kenku FM runs locally on the Game Master's computer. It allows the GM to log in as a "Bot" on their own Discord server, giving them total control over the audio stream. It is a lightweight, open source tool that treats audio as a vital part of the storytelling toolkit rather than an afterthought. System Overview & Key Features Integrated Web Browser Kenku FM features a built in browser designed specifically for audio. You can open tabs for YouTube, Spotify, Tabletop Audio, or Syrinscape and stream the audio directly into your Discord call without needing to share your screen or lose audio quality. Local File Playback The app acts as a robust media player for your personal sound library. You can create playlists from your own MP3 and WAV files, allowing for instant playback of specific combat themes or environmental ambiance stored on your hard drive. Soundboard Functionality Users can set up a custom soundboard within the interface. This allows a Game Master to trigger one shot sound effects like sword clashing, explosions, or monster growls at the perfect narrative moment with a single click. Stream Deck Integration For power users, Kenku FM offers a dedicated plugin for the Elgato Stream Deck. This allows the GM to control volume, skip tracks, and trigger soundboard effects using physical buttons, keeping their hands free to manage the game and maps. High Quality Audio Engine By using a dedicated bot connection rather than standard screen sharing, Kenku FM maintains high bitrate stereo audio. This ensures that orchestral scores and subtle environmental textures sound exactly as intended for every player in the voice channel. Open Source and Privacy The software is open source and runs locally, meaning it does not track your data or rely on external servers that can be shut down. You own the software and have total control over the bot account you create to facilitate the stream. Virtual tabletop (VTT)
English
Free
One Realm is an AI-assisted campaign workspace and virtual tabletop built for groups that want to play tomorrow—not spend the week preparing. It turns adventures, source material, and campaign notes into an organized, playable world, helping GMs complete work that might otherwise take hours or days in a matter of minutes. Characters, locations, encounters, maps, relationships, and story events are automatically organized and connected. From there, the GM can prepare scenes, create artwork, manage characters, and run the game through the integrated virtual tabletop. Because everything shares the same campaign context, preparation flows directly into play without rebuilding the session across multiple tools.

Trophy

TTRPG
English
Horror
Trophy is a collection of collaborative storytelling games about doomed and desperate treasure-hunters entering a haunted forest that doesn’t want them there. The games explore the physical, mental, and emotional descent of the treasure-hunters as they move deeper and deeper into the forest, encountering ancient ruins, terrible monstrosities, and the greatest horror of all: themselves. Games rooted in Trophy are built around characters willing to push their luck. The character are often desperate, with something driving them to continue against all odds. The system itself encourages risk taking, so if your game isn’t about risks or characters who push themselves, then Trophy might not be the best foundation. Trophy is also about decline. Characters tend to degrade over time, or have some precious resource that they’re gradually losing (or a negative resource that they’re gaining). If your game is about characters becoming more and more powerful, then you might want to try a different system. There are two versions of the game: Trophy Dark and Trophy Gold. Trophy Dark is designed for single session play, while Trophy Gold is designed for longer campaigns.
