Prosperon

Overview

Setting and Themes of Prosperon

Prosperon is a tabletop role-playing game set in a dystopian future where towering megacorporation’s have tightened their hold on society, reducing human existence to data points within an immense, profit-driven machine. In this harsh environment, a resistance force known as the Vanguard emerges, determined to challenge the expanding corporate regime. Depending on the campaign style, players may choose to operate as Vanguard insurgents or take on the role of independent freelancers known as operators navigating the same oppressive world.

Vanguard and Player Roles

Players who join the Vanguard step into the lives of operatives tasked with undertaking high-risk missions aimed at restoring autonomy and awakening a population numbed by corporate dominance. These operatives rely on advanced technology, tactical expertise, and sheer determination as they work to expose corruption, outmaneuver authoritarian forces, and spark a rebellion capable of reshaping entire cities.

World and Tone

Blending cyberpunk and biopunk influences, Prosperon presents a setting defined by genetic augmentation, societal decay, and technological overreach. The game emphasizes narrative depth, strategic decision-making, and immersive storytelling. Its adaptable mechanics are designed to support accessibility and player creativity, allowing groups to tailor the experience to their preferred style of play.

Themes of Resistance

At its core, Prosperon invites players to explore the struggle between human agency and corporate control. Whether forging alliances, leading uprisings, or navigating the moral complexities of survival, players ultimately determine whether humanity can reclaim its future, or collapse further into engineered servitude.

I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

Marlon
Hello, fellow gamers. My name is Marlon, but everyone calls me Jay-long story there that I won’t get into. Anyways, I’m the forever DM in my family, and I run weekly podcast games for my wife. We’ve designed a tabletop RPG called Prosperon: A Bio‑Cyberpunk RPG, and we’re actively looking for more playtesters. If that interests you, shoot me a message and we’ll make it happen. With that being said, I’m also an active player in several games. I’m currently in a Blades in the Dark campaign every Thursday, which is absolutely amazing, and I have a few open biweekly days where I can commit to another game-as long as it’s the right game, the right crew, and the right day and time. That’s all for now. Take care, and don’t forget-have fun at your table.

Virtual tabletop (VTT)

One D&D session, three connected screens. Lumen VTT gives game masters and players a shared place to run maps, music, combat, dice, character actions, and table-facing moments without turning the session into admin work. What Lumen VTT is for Lumen is designed for D&D 5e groups that want the structure of a modern VTT while keeping play moving. It focuses on combat flow, animated tabletop feedback, live session tools, music, and fast GM setup. A VTT for active tables The app supports a GM view, player views, and a live table display, so a group can play online or around a real table with a TV. Players can use phones while the GM manages the encounter. Automation where it helps Combat features are built around common 5e tasks such as attack rolls, saves, damage, healing, conditions, initiative, movement, and area effects. The goal is to reduce bookkeeping while keeping decisions visible. What to compare in any virtual tabletop When comparing VTT software, look at how quickly a session starts, how much rules work is automated, whether players need heavy setup, how the map feels during combat, and whether the tool supports your actual table format.
