Description

Quick Info: LGBTQ+ friendly. POC friendly. (Seriously, want more poc/women/queer/etc players! Not only white men!) Capitalist unfriendly. No bigotry. No sexual violence. 25+ only. 30+ preferred. Hope to play every other week. Looking to start up in a couple months, after getting a group and some backstories going. System: MSH/Advanced FASERIP with homebrew. Points Buy character creation. Some powers disallowed. Interest Form: Log in to view Session Structure: Sessions – Get into a fight, foil a villain’s plot, a smattering of interpersonal drama. The meat and potatoes. This is when you punch a living bulldozer through a building. In-Between sessions – Play by post to forward more of the interpersonal stories, background stories, investigations, and other plot threads not covered in sessions. Feel free to engage with this as much or as little as you wish. Will begin with one-shots. Over time plot threads will naturally weave themselves in and out, forming stories, similar to how comics of the era were written. Heroes may encounter people and situations from their past. Villains may return for revenge, group together for more dangerous plans, etc. Setting: The year is 1984, as envisioned by the 1960s. Technology is retro-futuristic. Many modern devices do not exist. Many older devices exist in more advanced fashions. The internet is for hacker nerds and government organizations. Cell phones are not available. Pay phones are widely available, and are generally video phones. Young adults/teenagers lean towards being hipsters, beatniks, freakers, hippies. There are still a good amount of squares. Middle aged + are mostly squares. The elderly are Great War vets. Cities and countries are all fictional, though based on real world places. The colonization of the West was far less brutal and ugly. There is still a Cold War with Communist powers. The police force does not exist. Instead, they are replaced by Safety Officers; Trained for de-escalation. Not particularly inclined to violence. They still have a Detective Bureau, Riot Squad, and small Mech Squad. Guns that shoot bullets were banned after the Great War. Instead, stun pistols are common. Knock people out and leave them with a groggy headache. Murders still happen, through other methods. There are still obvious rich/poor social divides, but racism/sexism/homophobia/etc is not nearly as prevalent. The one exception is mutants. Society shuns mutated humans to varying degrees. Inspiration: ‘60s Doom Patrol. Morrison Doom Patrol / Animal Man. ‘70s Defenders. ‘80s Suicide Squad. Power Man & Iron Fist. Copra. The Jam. Madman. The Maxx. Venture Bros season 6. Goofy hold overs from the Silver Age meets a newfangled “gritty realism.” Morals are becoming more grey. Tongue-in-cheek play meets serious characters. Characters: C-List street-level supers in a mid-sized city. Dramatic personal lives. Classic costumes. You come up with your basic character concept, and we will work together to flesh it out and fit the character into the world. Details will be broad at first, with more specifics emerging during the course of the game. Examples: Techno-barbarian from a Kirby-stlyed future fantasy world after the fall and rebirth of man. Reincarnated Moon Princess from the dead ancient culture on the moon. Famous b-movie actor/model turned super spy and master of disguise. Unhoused person who fell asleep in the wrong alley. Celebrity fitness instructor and motivational speaker.

A dark archipelago of dangerous waters, unforgiving weather, and ruthless people, ruled by a cold and powerful Empress. The realm fell into despair when a deadly plague known as the "Sanguine Mist" or simply the “Red Mist” as it’s known colloquially, swept over the dark waters, causing a painful and gruelling end as symptoms include; visible, bright red veins, frequent bleeding from nose, mouth, or eyes, fragile skin that bruises and cuts easily, oddly liquid looking pupils and most notably, the constant coughing and hacking up a bloody, crimson mist that eventually causes the infected to suffocate, before reanimating their corpse as a mindless, siren-like zombie. Life here is tough, but the people are tougher, and there’s been an odd sense of routine that has formed since the first signs of the infection. Many make their living hauling or pilfering parts of the dead and dying, and while a vague sense of normalcy has returned, there remain a few who continue to search for a cure.

This is not about you...  THIS IS YOU. This is not in a safe space! Play  on Discord - voice, a.i. art, and video. Game as if you are at my table. Pathfinder 2e (modified - you need "PathBuilder" unlocked) Pathbuilder includes all of the dice rolling, your character sheets, and the text for everything including; backgrounds, classes, feats, spells, items, even Pets! Pathbuilder. basic is free, unlock is $5. Archives of Nethys is free. PathfinderWiki is free.  No mistake, I do want you to buy the game books,  BUT, you do not have to unless you want to. As Game master, I want the players to have so much fun, that the players are inspired to buy the books to share the game with friends. I have devised a Prelude to "The Fall of PlaugeStone". 1. You HUMAN (yes. You with only one REAL Gender) are brought to a world of Magic and Monsters.  Right in the midst of Tar Baphon's undead army marching south: Skeletons, zombies, ghouls, ghosts, vampires, liches. Surrounded by Goblinblood war veterans: Goblins, Orcs, Hobgoblins, Bugbears, Lizardfolk, Ogres, hill giants and trolls. Where the cultists of the Whispering Way (Tar Baphon) and the bloated abomination of glutony, disease, death, undeath... "Urgathoa" Whose appetites include Canibalism and Necrophilia (sex with the dead), cultists of Rovagug also wreak havoc! Cultists of Ghlaunder spread pestilence, parasites, sores, rot and disease. Zon-Kuthon's Nidaliesse servants spread their faith of pain, suffering, and despair into the nation of Isger. These are not the only Evils roaming the country side; the possesed, the insane, the wicked, predators of all kinds seek to ruin, torture, slay, lay waste, and destroy... 2. You appear as yourself at your youthful peak, with faded vauge memories of another world, another life. All of you trapped inside a Stone Storage house full of seed, tools, Bags/barrels/sealed jars of the Harvests. The families who owned these farms are dead. Outside, Hordes of undead roam in search of prey.  3. Borth Bargrith's Caravan Arrives, the assorted peoples wield Steel and spell to carve a path to the storehouse! They seek to gather provisions from the Storage house. They find you. none of you can understand anything these strange warriors say... until Bort Bargrith Gives you a ring "Bort's Words". The magical ring enables you to understand and speak the language! you translate for the others. "We need to leave now, you lot have this salvage which pays for your seats in the caravan, and more"...  You can buy 20 gold of starting equipment, Training in the languages, various backgrounds, and yes, classes with magic rings like "Bort's Sword", "Bort's Will", and "Bort's Path" to greatly accelerate your education!  4. NO ONE CAN PLAY A NECROMANCER, NOR FOLLOW AN EVIL FAITH. YOU SURVIVE TOGETHER OR NOT AT ALL! HATRED of the Sinful and EVIL compells many to draw steel to destroy corruptions where they find them! Sounds harsh, I know, but considerations for how things work in Reality, as well as the Fantasy campaign setting, timeline, and geography, are in play. Please fill out the application if you want yo play.  Use the websites I have referenced so you can learn the "recent happenings" of the last century.
