Description

Admittedly I'm not looking to run this game but I've wanted to play a variety of games within Chronicles of Darkness for a long time now. So I figured I'd try to seek out some likeminded individuals who also want to play. Maybe even find someone who has experience running a game. I've only ever played a handful of times, so it'd be nice to have that experience for me and other players.

Just hoped on this site and hoping to see what it’s about! Longtime lover of ttrpgs like DnD 5e and the WoD/CofD game lines. Very experienced with pbp games and some voice games.

Seven Years Bad Luck

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Do you feel sensations that you can't explain? Have you seen things that no one else seemed to notice? Have you had strange experiences that are difficult to talk about? We're here to listen The Frederick Anomalous Experiences Support Group is a confidential peer-support group for people who have experienced unusual or unexplained events in and around the Frederick, Maryland Area No judgment. No diagnosis. No explanations required. Meetings are free and confidential. Whatever is happening to you, you don't have to deal with it alone. Please reach out to Dr. Branden L. Mulligan to see about meeting times and places ------------------------------------------------------- What is ‘7-Years Bad Luck’? ‘7-Years Bad Luck’ is a Chronicle of Darkness Game designed to evolve as players play. You begin as ordinary people living in and around the Frederick area. You have all experienced weird phenomena that you can't explain and found others who have experienced similar things. Together, you are members of a small, mostly online support group where you can talk about the things no one else would believe and reassure one another that you're not going crazy. What to expect from the game? This is a character-focused game where relationships, friendships, trust, conflict, and the connections between characters matter. The story begins as a horror-thriller built around a slowly unraveling mystery. As you discover what's actually happening, those revelations may change the game's direction, its genre, and even your character. Your decisions matter, particularly early in the story. There isn't a single predetermined path through the campaign. How your character responds to what happens can open entirely different possibilities, and even death doesn't necessarily end a character's story. Expect mystery, horror, interpersonal drama, difficult decisions, strange situations, and plenty of opportunities simply to let your characters be people. What can I play? Your character can be almost any ordinary human living in or around the Frederick area. More information will follow, but they should have a life: friends, family, relationships, ambitions, mistakes, hobbies, a career, things they care about in this world. Most importantly, they should be someone you'd enjoy getting to know and playing as their life becomes. Your character begins generally unaware of the supernatural world. Occult knowledge is perfectly fine, but at the beginning it consists of things like folklore, urban legends, conspiracy theories, religious traditions, or paranormal beliefs rather than knowledge that monsters are actually real. Supernatural merits are not acceptable at character creation When and where is the game being held? Tuesdays, online through Discord

Divine Right to Rule - A Small Westmarch PBP

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
This continent-spanning campaign takes place in 535 PA. In the wake of a war that is still relatively recent, tensions are high between the countries of Ingentes. Banditry has been rising to alarmingly common levels, Druidic and Arcane magic is outlawed and seen a "Witchcraft" by the Holy Elysian Chamber, and no matter where you go, fear of the other countries and monsters that lurk in the dark is prevalent. This negativity is exactly what the forces that would destroy Ingentes need to spark the fires of war. In this campaign, each player makes their own character and their own decisions. I have an overarching storyline, but there are plenty of branching paths and objectives that allow the heroes to do as they please. I plan to make this campaign an open-world westmarch, where the players are free to do whatever they like, whether that's forming one big group or multiple small ones! If any of you want to form a splinter group or go on a solo adventure, that's allowed! This campaign features hack-and-slash adventure, dungeon crawling, mysteries, and political intrigue. There's something for everyone in this campaign, and a full map to explore with a campaign that's written as you progress! To make this easier for everyone, this is a playbypost campaign, a text-based adventure over Discord with no official start or stop: I'll be regularly available almost every day to DM, and the weekly payment will happen every Sunday.
