Description

Hello my name is Fae. I've been playing dnd since 2015 and I'm an active DM for 8 years now. We have been playing as a group of five, one DM and four players. But unfortunately one of the players is stepping away and we wish to find someone to join us. We play bi-weekly on Saturday from 15:00 till about 20:00 CET Currently we are playing a heavy homebrewed version of CoS and just finished the House of Sorrows (death house) and the PC's just leveled up to level 4. My campaigns are always roleplay heavy with at least 1 combat per session. We play online using DnDBeyond and Roll20 and Discord for VC and keeping track of everything that happens in the campaign. I am a DM who uses a soundboard, imagery and storytelling to sketch the world we are in. I am very player orientated and do not mind bending the rules for your enjoyment. Over the years I have learned how to keep things balanced without sacrificing the fun of the players. I am also always happy to create something unique and custom for your character. Be it magic item, an event in the campaign, or PC specific lore inplementation. So don't be afraid to ask I am also very beginner friendly and welcome players of any and all expertise level Things I have zero tolerance for:
  • Harassment: zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or targeted personal insults out of character.
- Boundary violations: disregarding established safety boundaries. - Sexual violence: complete ban on depicting, describing, or forcing sexual assault, both in active narrative and character backgrounds. - Unapproved PvP: attacking other party members, stealing from teammates, or casting harmful spells on allies without explicit, out of character consent from all involved parties. - Cheating: modifying character sheets retroactively, or intentionally mistracking resources. (if you wish to change something, just ask) - Tonal sabotage: Bringing joke characters, meme builds, or disruptive behavior into a designated grimdark/horror campaign. (joking among players, or as PC's during the campaign is completely fine and welcome) - Targeted DM hostility: Arguing aggressively against rules interpretations during the session or actively trying to "win" against the DM rather than engaging with the narrative challenges. (come to me after the session, I am very welcoming to feedback) Some of these rules only need to be broken once to get yourself a ban. So please be a respectable person, we are all here just so have some fun and share a laugh while building an epic world together. So what are we looking for:
  • Someone who loves roleplay, world and character development, and collaborative storytelling.
  • Someone who respects fellow players' time and commits to the schedule (this doesn't count for emergencies. we are understanding for situations you didn't choose)
  • Someone who is respectful of others, mindful of table boundaries and manners, and open to communication.
  • Someone who is excited to collaborate on their backstory and actively engage with the world's secrets.
Not a hard requirement:
  • Preferably 18+, but we can make exceptions for mature teens.
- Preferably a woman to balance out the table dynamic. One of our players would appreciate a second female presence in the group, though everyone is welcome to apply. If this sounds like the right fit for you, and you are ready to step into the mists and help us shape this world, shoot me a DM with a bit about yourself. Discord: vailandru tags: dark fantasy, gothic, curses, ancient secrets, prophecy & fate, grimdark, corruption, psychological & survival horror, cryptic lore, dynamic sandbox, puzzles & riddles, custom homebrew, atmospheric, high player agency, lore centric, character driven, roleplay heavy, moral ambiguity, permanent consequences, high lethality, CoS core, and many more!

Monday - Thursday    A group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) It'll be played in a Discord voice chat "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, Forgotten Realms based homebrew campaign, with an emphasis on story & adventures Ratio: 60 Roleplay/30 Exploration/10 Combat Starting level is 1, Point Buy, Milestone leveling Spells become cantrips, a player can cast them without components or GP Cooldown of spells depends from their power level & the DM's will, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher  Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed HP are cinematic. Depending from how much & what kind of damage a character receives, i'll adjust his condition Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About forbidden spells As an example, this is only level 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise), a player casts a spell that speedruns a campaign But a player can prepare all other spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)

Sea Wolves: Salt & Sorecery

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The old world has drowned. Life carries on across floating settlements and scattered islands, while lost civilisations lie beneath the waves. Ships carry stories, supplies, and strangers between communities built from the remnants of what came before. Some seek a fresh start; others search for answers in the wreckage of the past. Ancient relics, unfamiliar shores, and things stirring in the deep await beyond the horizon. Fancy exploring a flooded fantasy world and making some friends along the way? I’m putting together a tabletop group in Amsterdam (Czaar Peterstraat, 15 min from CS). Organised every other week (depending on everyone’s interest and availability) Snacks & good vibes included. Sea Wolves: Salt & Sorcery is a post-apocalyptic fantasy story sandbox about finding our place in the world. Expect lots of roleplaying, collective storytelling and rewarding combat encounters, played with paper minis on a digital map. Rescue, recover, protect, escape: 'defeat all enemies' is almost never the main objective. What do you find in that wreck? Who do you recognise in the harbour? Sometimes you tell me, other times I'll tell you. Character motivations and relationships are at the core of our story. Follow a mystery, help a settlement, chase your ambition, pet a turtle? The ocean has plenty of room for adventure, mystery, friendship, humour, and dubious schemes. Ik spreek gewoon Nederlands, but we'll play mostly in English. There’s room to have fun, be creative and express yourself. I like doing voices, you're encouraged (but never expected) to get goofy and do so as well. I’d love an inclusive, diverse group where everyone feels comfortable being themselves. Come curious and be kind. Boundaries are always respected, no questions asked. New players are welcome!

Ghost of Saltmarsh X Call From The Deep (maritime)

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
I'm looking for two players to join an ongoing, long-term D&D campaign built around immersive roleplay, challenging combat, memorable characters, and a story that can grow far beyond the usual adventure. 🐉 About Me as a DM I'm an experienced DM who has completed several campaigns, including Tyranny of Dragons, Lost Mine of Phandelver, Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, and Dreams of the Red Wizards. I've been playing with three players for years, and we're now looking to welcome two new adventurers into our group. I love old-school fantasy, meaningful character interactions, dangerous encounters, and the kind of storytelling that makes the table remember a session long after it's over. I care more about the story and the players' choices than enforcing every rule to the letter. I'm flexible when it makes sense, and my biggest satisfaction as a DM is creating memorable moments and driving a compelling narrative. 🌊 The Campaign The campaign is a long nautical adventure on the Sword Coast, built from Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. It starts in Saltmarsh, a small fishing town with a smuggling problem and a divided council. From there it grows into a voyage up and down the coast, through Neverwinter, Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Luskan and the pirate islands beyond, as the party uncovers something stirring beneath the waves. Expect your own ship and crew, sea battles, haunted wrecks, flooded ruins, intrigue in port towns and the peoples of the deep, some of whom might become allies. The choices you make will come back to help or haunt you. So far, the party has cleared out a smugglers' den, captured their ship and survived a night aboard a ship of the dead. Now they are deep in a lizardfolk lair, trying to turn an uneasy truce into an alliance. The campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms, with its foundations inspired by Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. I've built a massive framework with plenty of room for expansion, player-driven stories, and unexpected developments. To give you an idea of the scale, I currently have: 60+ maps prepared. 300 NPCs to meet, befriend, antagonise, or regret crossing. Hundreds of magic items to discover. A campaign framework designed to grow alongside the party( shortlist of about 10 one shots - wiaiting for an opportunity to plug them in)  I also try to bring NPCs to life using VOICEMOD nd my own attempts at different accents. I'm no professional voice actor, but I enjoy making the world feel alive! ⚔️ What to Expect My games focus on roleplay and combat in equal measure. I'm not particularly puzzle-focused, although I'm happy to introduce puzzles when they fit the adventure. Combat is challenging, tactical, and unforgiving. I like putting players under pressure, making their decisions matter, and creating encounters where victory feels earned. Character death is a real possibility, and even a total party kill is on the table. I'll challenge you hard, but I'll give you meaningful choices and opportunities to fight for survival. This isn't a campaign where you can expect every encounter to be balanced around an easy victory. Think carefully, work together, and don't underestimate your enemies.(my motto: never split the party)  🧙 The Current Party You'll be joining a party consisting of: A male tiefling Mystic with psionic abilities. A 6'2" female half-elf/human fighter wielding a two-handed sword. An aaracokra druid. I'm looking for two characters who can become part of this group, contribute to its dynamics, and help shape the direction of the story. 🤝 Who I'm Looking For Personality and teamwork matter more to me than building the perfect character. I'm looking for players who: Have engaging personalities and enjoy interacting with others. Are genuine team players rather than lone wolves who want to be the main character. Enjoy both roleplay and challenging combat. Respect the other players and contribute to a fun, collaborative table. Are interested in committing to a long-term campaign and developing their characters over time. You don't need to be an expert on the rules or an amazing roleplayer. Just bring enthusiasm, creativity, a willingness to collaborate, and a character who has a reason to be part of the adventure. New players welcome and must be able to commit weekly ( with an exception of holidays or real life) - i have a little boy, my time is scarce sharing between family, travels and work, so i expect a commitment  not a casual attendance.  🎨 A Little About Me Outside the Game When I'm not DMing, I'm a father to a little boy who just started crawling, I paint miniatures, travel, cycle, and craft marketing strategies for living.  D&D is one of my favourite creative outlets, and I put a lot of time and effort into building a world that feels alive. If you're looking for a long-term adventure with rich roleplay, dangerous combat, a living world, and a DM who genuinely enjoys crafting stories with his players, I'd love to hear from you. Two seats are open. The Realms are waiting. It's a free game, i do not provide dnd beyond but can import your character, my foundry has a module to built a character - but ideally let me know what you anticipate to play.
