Description

Hey. My DM posted the other day about looking for 3 to 4 players to join in a homebrew world that we've both spent arguably too much time making. The have been DM'ing for the last 2ish years (not a forever DM, it was her choice) and unfortunately scheduling with a previous group fell apart. She just wants to see the story through. It's her child at this point. We had about 60 people apply when it was posted originally a day or two ago but so many people just haven't checked their discord friend requests for us to get to know you. If you've already applied, please quickly fill the form again or check your discord friend requests. She's looking for at least 1 other woman to join so that she's not completely alone in a group of men. Currently, we're a team of two F, 31 and M, 32. We want to find a group that mesh nicely together both for D&D and maybe other online games if the feeling takes us. The DM is a shift worker so rather flexible on availability, Ideally, the sessions would be at least two times a month. However this can be determined by the group. In Short: Onwards from 17:00 GMT every two weeks Campaign Tone: Semi-serious, Mix of roleplay and combat and plenty of time for shenanigans. Platform: Discord with mics, application can be discussed roll20, dndbeyond, paper Starting Level: Level 1 Addition Notes: The homebrew world has a timeline. We initially start in the typical D&D style with that kind of medieval theme but there is also the addition of being able to jump a few thousand years into the future where we have the same base world but we adventure out into space with a modified version of Spelljammer which has Cyberpunk/BladeRunner vibes. So we may additionally jump into this if you're interested or if we need to fill the space between campaigns being made. The Campaign The planet we're on is called Sulia, a medieval fantasy world full of whimsy is on verge of an ancient threat that has fallen from history, time wiping out all knowledge. Whilst the world is homebrew and so is the main story, we will be visiting official modules for fun, the golden vault, frozen sick. The DM desperately still need to run a beach episode. Pls help fulfil that dream. What can you expect from us? Both current players make our own maps, if a map is needed the DM will likely make it. (The world map is a work in progress while we figure out locations and whatever the story needs) Hopefully a good storyline with a detailed world to match The DM may or may not want to form an alliance with you for said shenanigans Free inspiration if you tell the DM their maps are good... And because we're sadly adults and are secretly here to collect your data and sell it to Daddy Bezos, there is a form to fill out. Some of you might already have filled this out. If you have please check your friends requests on discord.  Log in to view Feel free to ask any other questions either in the comments or through the chat function

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. Ghost of Saltmarsh X Call From The Deep (maritime)

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
I'm looking for two players to join an ongoing, long-term D&D campaign built around immersive roleplay, challenging combat, memorable characters, and a story that can grow far beyond the usual adventure. 🐉 About Me as a DM I'm an experienced DM who has completed several campaigns, including Tyranny of Dragons, Lost Mine of Phandelver, Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, and Dreams of the Red Wizards. I've been playing with three players for years, and we're now looking to welcome two new adventurers into our group. I love old-school fantasy, meaningful character interactions, dangerous encounters, and the kind of storytelling that makes the table remember a session long after it's over. I care more about the story and the players' choices than enforcing every rule to the letter. I'm flexible when it makes sense, and my biggest satisfaction as a DM is creating memorable moments and driving a compelling narrative. 🌊 The Campaign The campaign is a long nautical adventure on the Sword Coast, built from Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. It starts in Saltmarsh, a small fishing town with a smuggling problem and a divided council. From there it grows into a voyage up and down the coast, through Neverwinter, Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Luskan and the pirate islands beyond, as the party uncovers something stirring beneath the waves. Expect your own ship and crew, sea battles, haunted wrecks, flooded ruins, intrigue in port towns and the peoples of the deep, some of whom might become allies. The choices you make will come back to help or haunt you. So far, the party has cleared out a smugglers' den, captured their ship and survived a night aboard a ship of the dead. Now they are deep in a lizardfolk lair, trying to turn an uneasy truce into an alliance. The campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms, with its foundations inspired by Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. I've built a massive framework with plenty of room for expansion, player-driven stories, and unexpected developments. To give you an idea of the scale, I currently have: 60+ maps prepared. 300 NPCs to meet, befriend, antagonise, or regret crossing. Hundreds of magic items to discover. A campaign framework designed to grow alongside the party( shortlist of about 10 one shots - wiaiting for an opportunity to plug them in)  I also try to bring NPCs to life using VOICEMOD nd my own attempts at different accents. I'm no professional voice actor, but I enjoy making the world feel alive! ⚔️ What to Expect My games focus on roleplay and combat in equal measure. I'm not particularly puzzle-focused, although I'm happy to introduce puzzles when they fit the adventure. Combat is challenging, tactical, and unforgiving. I like putting players under pressure, making their decisions matter, and creating encounters where victory feels earned. Character death is a real possibility, and even a total party kill is on the table. I'll challenge you hard, but I'll give you meaningful choices and opportunities to fight for survival. This isn't a campaign where you can expect every encounter to be balanced around an easy victory. Think carefully, work together, and don't underestimate your enemies.(my motto: never split the party)  🧙 The Current Party You'll be joining a party consisting of: A male tiefling Mystic with psionic abilities. A 6'2" female half-elf/human fighter wielding a two-handed sword. An aaracokra druid. I'm looking for two characters who can become part of this group, contribute to its dynamics, and help shape the direction of the story. 🤝 Who I'm Looking For Personality and teamwork matter more to me than building the perfect character. I'm looking for players who: Have engaging personalities and enjoy interacting with others. Are genuine team players rather than lone wolves who want to be the main character. Enjoy both roleplay and challenging combat. Respect the other players and contribute to a fun, collaborative table. Are interested in committing to a long-term campaign and developing their characters over time. You don't need to be an expert on the rules or an amazing roleplayer. Just bring enthusiasm, creativity, a willingness to collaborate, and a character who has a reason to be part of the adventure. New players welcome and must be able to commit weekly ( with an exception of holidays or real life) - i have a little boy, my time is scarce sharing between family, travels and work, so i expect a commitment  not a casual attendance.  🎨 A Little About Me Outside the Game When I'm not DMing, I'm a father to a little boy who just started crawling, I paint miniatures, travel, cycle, and craft marketing strategies for living.  D&D is one of my favourite creative outlets, and I put a lot of time and effort into building a world that feels alive. If you're looking for a long-term adventure with rich roleplay, dangerous combat, a living world, and a DM who genuinely enjoys crafting stories with his players, I'd love to hear from you. Two seats are open. The Realms are waiting. It's a free game, i do not provide dnd beyond but can import your character, my foundry has a module to built a character - but ideally let me know what you anticipate to play.
