Description

System: D&D 5e (2014) Platform: Discord, asynchronous play-by-post using Avrae, with the option to use Tupperbot Number of Players: 5-6 (+ any amount of observers) Starting Level: 1 Timezone: I am in EST and am usually available from 11am to 10pm, with less availability on Mondays due to my job. Different time zones are not a deal breaker as long as you have a decent overlap in my availability. Tone: A mix of adventure, horror, with a dash of humor. Death is absurd and life is short! Age requirement: 21+, with no current plans for allowing ERP. Campaign: This is my first time running DND (though I have previous experience in other systems) and I want to get a feel for running the system and what I'd like to do in my own original campaigns. We will be starting with Adventure Awaits Studio's one shot The Unquiet Dead at level one. I have made some minimal tweaks to the story and characters. If it is successful, we will transition into a full campaign and go from there. While the initial adventure will be short and relatively simple --I’m looking for players who will be able to work together long term and enjoy writing serious and thought-out characters. Bonus points if you really enjoy the roleplay aspect of things as well. If you find yourself drawn to those aspects of DnD, that’s exactly the atmosphere I’m aiming to create! Character Creation: For the purposes of a smooth game, I will keep homebrew to a minimum. I will also ask you to give your character a connection related to the story to give me opportunities to write in interesting narrative hooks. You can apply to the game using the following link: Log in to view I will keep applications open for as long as it takes to find enough suitable players, but may continue to accept "observers" who merely wish to read the roleplay or would like to join at a later date in the event one of the players falls through.

Hey hi hello, y'all! My name is Po and I'm looking to play a semi-historic campaign with a little fantasy elements imbued into it! The party is going to be a American military specialist unit that has been brought into the Vietnam war to combat violent and powerful spiritual entities that are attacking soldiers and civilians alike. It's inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen and will be using my own homebrew system I've developed through original techniques and cherry-picking parts I like from others I've seen. It is subject to change as the campaign develops but I'm pretty confident in it so far. You'll be starting at level 3 as you'll all be somewhat experienced soldiers before you've awaken your unique exorcist abilities. We are planning to play on Sundays at 7-10/11 PM EST but that can change if we can find a better date. I'm looking for roughly third players but I wouldn't mind a fourth if I can find one. However, I'm hoping to keep the game 18+ not due to sexual content but more as a personal rule.  So if you're interested submit an application and we can begin discussing it. If I'm willing to go further, we'll move to Discord to conduct an interview.

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
You are a couple of seasoned travelers about to be dragged into something a lot more than you bargained for. This is a tale of emotion, terror, and tragedy; but also one of heroism, something the people of Neverwinter desperately need as they struggle against a serial killer. This short adventure goes from levels 4 - 6 for a party of 3 – 5 players. The game is designed to run anywhere between 4 – 8 sessions and focuses on mystery, horror, a decent amount of combat, and thrilling and dramatic roleplay! Session 0 is free, and we focus on expectations there, so everyone knows what they’re getting into.  Further Details and how to join here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmuss8jfq01dkl9043evcktv7?ref=cl364he035phabopk9zps3nif I have a few other games listed on my profile if this doesn't work; you can check that, and more information about me and my style here: https://startplaying.games/gm/627fe21745eac1ca56eb8f72

What Hides in Mountain Stone

Paid game

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
