Description

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a small group of players for an experimental project that combines Changeling: The Lost gameplay with a creative writing workshop format. The idea is to run a story-focused online campaign where the events, characters, and conflicts that emerge during gameplay become inspiration for creative writing between sessions. We will also hold workshop sessions where participants can share and discuss pieces inspired by the evolving story. The goal is to explore whether collaborative storytelling through a tabletop RPG can act as a generative tool for creative writing. System Changeling: The Lost Platform Online (Zoom and/or Discord) Time Zone Eastern Standard Time (EST) Experience No experience with Changeling, tabletop RPGs, or creative writing workshops is required. New players and new writers are welcome. This project is meant to be a space to experiment with storytelling, whether you already write regularly or are simply curious about trying it. Writing Component Writing between sessions is not strictly required, but the project is designed for people who want to use the evolving story as inspiration for creative work. Participants are encouraged to bring pieces inspired by the campaign to workshop sessions. Writing can take many forms such as short fiction, poetry, character perspectives, or other creative pieces. Group Size Small table Age Requirement 18+ Scheduling Before the campaign begins, I will host a short info session where I will explain the format and answer questions. Scheduling for the campaign sessions will be discussed during that meeting so we can find a time that works for the group. Pilot Project This is a pilot run, and I will ask participants to provide feedback on the process so I can refine the workshop format. If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to comment or send me a message.

Curse of Strahd: The Devil Ascendant

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
The mists are calling. Will you answer? There is a land where the sun has forgotten how to shine, where the dead seldom rest, and where every whispered prayer may be answered by something far worse than the gods. Welcome to Barovia. Beyond the choking mists, ancient evils stir. The villagers bar their doors against the night, wolves stalk the forgotten roads, and somewhere high above it all, a dark lord watches from his castle. But something is changing. Old prophecies are stirring. Strange signs mark the heavens. And the threads of fate are being drawn tighter around those unfortunate enough to wander into this cursed domain. In Barovia, death is not always the end. Sometimes, it is merely the beginning. Curse of Strahd: The Devil Ascendant is a reimagined journey into Ravenloft, weaving classic gothic horror, psychological terror, dark mysteries, and unexpected twists into a campaign where your choices carry consequences—and not every monster is what it seems. Whether you are a veteran of Ravenloft or entering the mists for the very first time, do not expect the familiar to remain familiar. CAMPAIGN DETAILS System: D&D 5E (2014 Rules) When: Sundays, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern (GMT-4) Where: Roll20 & Discord Session Length: 4 hours Cost: $25 CDN per session (Reduced to $10 CDN until January 1st, 2027) The mists have opened. A place awaits you at the table. Come willingly, adventurer. Barovia has never needed an invitation to claim its guests. After all, the Devil knows your name. Will you live long enough to learn his?

Game Style This is to be a rather unusual run through Curse of Strahd, as some of the content been changed along with small bits of the greater plot. Quite a bit of content from previous editions of Ravenloft, along with new content, has been added in hopes of creating a new experience for newcomers and veterans alike. About the adventure It was a quiet day when a desperate messenger arrived to the great city Ravenport carrying a most distressing message: The nearby lumber town of Halzen has been overtaken by a mysterious mist, any who enter it never to be seen again. The townsfolk put together all the money and resources they had to send an envoy requesting aid, for dark things stalk the nights and more and more of the inhabitants disappear come morning, the sun ever dimmer. The Black Hound's Consort Mercenary Guild has put out an official bounty of 500 units of sterling silver for any that may solve this mystery, but you may find that gold would not have been enough for what you found yourselves against. New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
I grabbed the Mothership Deluxe Set and have been excited to crack into it and see what happens! I'm hoping to start Another Bug Hunt and hopefully start setting up a campaign if we end up wanting to go further. The game begins at 6 at Eternal Games in Warren starting on 10/27.
