Description

Hello everyone! We are a group of four looking for a DM for a new campaign. We have been playing D&D together for about four years at this point and would like to start up a second campaign as one of the campaigns we are in together recently ended. We would like the campaign to be weekly, preferably on the weekend at a set time (we usually have campaigns around 6 PM CET), but we are usually flexible when it comes to sessions if life happens and the session needs to be rescheduled. As for the campaign it is really up to you as the DM. The only wishes we have are the following: we want to play D&D 5E 2024, and not an evil campaign. We would also prefer a more traditional D&D setting, either set in Faerun or a world similar to it. A homebrew world is completely fine. We would like to start the campaign at a low level (ideally level 3) and keep playing until we reach higher levels of play. We would prefer the campaign to have a story and a common goal, so not like a directionless sandbox campaign. We tend to follow the threads you lay out as a DM, meaning we do not usually decide to do something completely different than what you have prepared as a DM. As for more personal requirements:
  • we would like you to be at least 25 years old
  • somewhat experienced in DMing
  • fluent in English
  • at a stable enough point in your life where you could see yourself DMing a long campaign consistently
As for us - we are all from different nationalities so where you are from does not matter. All of us are male and we are all adults (we do not care if you are male or female). We can also be a bit blunt at times, but that being said we all have thick skin and are not easily offended. We have no problem discussing any points of tension without being upset! We tend to like to play things by the rules, but homebrew rules are fine as long as they have been established before being applied. We like all aspects of D&D - roleplaying, combat, exploration and so on. We tend to know our characters very well, both from a mechanical and roleplay point of view. Challenging combat is more than welcome! Please apply to this Log in to view and we will get back to you!

Ghost of Saltmarsh X Call From The Deep (maritime)

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
I'm looking for two players to join an ongoing, long-term D&D campaign built around immersive roleplay, challenging combat, memorable characters, and a story that can grow far beyond the usual adventure. 🐉 About Me as a DM I'm an experienced DM who has completed several campaigns, including Tyranny of Dragons, Lost Mine of Phandelver, Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, and Dreams of the Red Wizards. I've been playing with three players for years, and we're now looking to welcome two new adventurers into our group. I love old-school fantasy, meaningful character interactions, dangerous encounters, and the kind of storytelling that makes the table remember a session long after it's over. I care more about the story and the players' choices than enforcing every rule to the letter. I'm flexible when it makes sense, and my biggest satisfaction as a DM is creating memorable moments and driving a compelling narrative. 🌊 The Campaign The campaign is a long nautical adventure on the Sword Coast, built from Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. It starts in Saltmarsh, a small fishing town with a smuggling problem and a divided council. From there it grows into a voyage up and down the coast, through Neverwinter, Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Luskan and the pirate islands beyond, as the party uncovers something stirring beneath the waves. Expect your own ship and crew, sea battles, haunted wrecks, flooded ruins, intrigue in port towns and the peoples of the deep, some of whom might become allies. The choices you make will come back to help or haunt you. So far, the party has cleared out a smugglers' den, captured their ship and survived a night aboard a ship of the dead. Now they are deep in a lizardfolk lair, trying to turn an uneasy truce into an alliance. The campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms, with its foundations inspired by Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. I've built a massive framework with plenty of room for expansion, player-driven stories, and unexpected developments. To give you an idea of the scale, I currently have: 60+ maps prepared. 300 NPCs to meet, befriend, antagonise, or regret crossing. Hundreds of magic items to discover. A campaign framework designed to grow alongside the party( shortlist of about 10 one shots - wiaiting for an opportunity to plug them in)  I also try to bring NPCs to life using VOICEMOD nd my own attempts at different accents. I'm no professional voice actor, but I enjoy making the world feel alive! ⚔️ What to Expect My games focus on roleplay and combat in equal measure. I'm not particularly puzzle-focused, although I'm happy to introduce puzzles when they fit the adventure. Combat is challenging, tactical, and unforgiving. I like putting players under pressure, making their decisions matter, and creating encounters where victory feels earned. Character death is a real possibility, and even a total party kill is on the table. I'll challenge you hard, but I'll give you meaningful choices and opportunities to fight for survival. This isn't a campaign where you can expect every encounter to be balanced around an easy victory. Think carefully, work together, and don't underestimate your enemies.(my motto: never split the party)  🧙 The Current Party You'll be joining a party consisting of: A male tiefling Mystic with psionic abilities. A 6'2" female half-elf/human fighter wielding a two-handed sword. An aaracokra druid. I'm looking for two characters who can become part of this group, contribute to its dynamics, and help shape the direction of the story. 🤝 Who I'm Looking For Personality and teamwork matter more to me than building the perfect character. I'm looking for players who: Have engaging personalities and enjoy interacting with others. Are genuine team players rather than lone wolves who want to be the main character. Enjoy both roleplay and challenging combat. Respect the other players and contribute to a fun, collaborative table. Are interested in committing to a long-term campaign and developing their characters over time. You don't need to be an expert on the rules or an amazing roleplayer. Just bring enthusiasm, creativity, a willingness to collaborate, and a character who has a reason to be part of the adventure. New players welcome and must be able to commit weekly ( with an exception of holidays or real life) - i have a little boy, my time is scarce sharing between family, travels and work, so i expect a commitment  not a casual attendance.  🎨 A Little About Me Outside the Game When I'm not DMing, I'm a father to a little boy who just started crawling, I paint miniatures, travel, cycle, and craft marketing strategies for living.  D&D is one of my favourite creative outlets, and I put a lot of time and effort into building a world that feels alive. If you're looking for a long-term adventure with rich roleplay, dangerous combat, a living world, and a DM who genuinely enjoys crafting stories with his players, I'd love to hear from you. Two seats are open. The Realms are waiting. It's a free game, i do not provide dnd beyond but can import your character, my foundry has a module to built a character - but ideally let me know what you anticipate to play.

Very non-canon AU Rime of the Frostmaiden, ongoing

We have been happily playing for over a year and are recruiting because we're losing 2 beloved players to inter-city moves. (How dare real life get in the way?! Unacceptable.) We did not know each other before we started playing but have been extremely lucky with our group so far. Are you our next party member? Please see below and reach out if this sounds like your vibe. * We play in person every other Sunday at 3pm, in Rågsved (~4 hours). We are looking for someone who says, "yes, that schedule sounds awesome". * 5E (2024 rules). We are more story+character-driven than mechanics-driven; we have some serious elements in the stories, but our games devolve into laughter and chaos more often than not. (If you are looking for something more serious in either tone or mechanics, I think you might get frustrated by our playstyles.) * Any English-speaking adult is welcome. The games are primarily in English, though we sprinkle in other languages. Our ages range over 2 decades, more women than men at the moment. * We are playing an extremely AU variant of Rime of the Frostmaiden (Icewind Dale) - by like the 3rd game, the only thing in common with canon was the names of the towns. So no worries if you are "already spoiled" on the ending - we are deep into homebrew territory. * Everyone is currently level 11; we're at a good inflection point in the story to bring on new people. The plan is to go up to 20 in order to battle Hastur (with help from Auril and Bahamut, of course). With this, I think it might be a bit rough if you've literally never played D&D before, but by no means do you have to be an expert. (See first point about the table being more story+character driven.) * We have super extensive notes and would 100% get you up to speed on the (zany) storyline if you are joining the game. If this sounds interesting to you, please reach out to me! We're probably looking to add someone for the 1 November game. (Maybe 18 October, but that might be too ambitious.)

Sea Wolves: Salt & Sorecery

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The old world has drowned. Life carries on across floating settlements and scattered islands, while lost civilisations lie beneath the waves. Ships carry stories, supplies, and strangers between communities built from the remnants of what came before. Some seek a fresh start; others search for answers in the wreckage of the past. Ancient relics, unfamiliar shores, and things stirring in the deep await beyond the horizon. Fancy exploring a flooded fantasy world and making some friends along the way? I’m putting together a tabletop group in Amsterdam (Czaar Peterstraat, 15 min from CS). Organised every other week (depending on everyone’s interest and availability) Snacks & good vibes included. Sea Wolves: Salt & Sorcery is a post-apocalyptic fantasy story sandbox about finding our place in the world. Expect lots of roleplaying, collective storytelling and rewarding combat encounters, played with paper minis on a digital map. Rescue, recover, protect, escape: 'defeat all enemies' is almost never the main objective. What do you find in that wreck? Who do you recognise in the harbour? Sometimes you tell me, other times I'll tell you. Character motivations and relationships are at the core of our story. Follow a mystery, help a settlement, chase your ambition, pet a turtle? The ocean has plenty of room for adventure, mystery, friendship, humour, and dubious schemes. Ik spreek gewoon Nederlands, but we'll play mostly in English. There’s room to have fun, be creative and express yourself. I like doing voices, you're encouraged (but never expected) to get goofy and do so as well. I’d love an inclusive, diverse group where everyone feels comfortable being themselves. Come curious and be kind. Boundaries are always respected, no questions asked. New players are welcome!
