Bread & Honey is a rules-light custom RPG focused on tavern management, relationships, and shared storytelling rather than dungeon crawling. The Campaign The peaceful republic of Kosuda has just survived a costly war with its neighbor, Ironreach. The fighting is over but the people of Kosuda are exhausted, and morale across the region is low. To restore the spirit of the country, the ruling council known as The Hearth launches a simple initiative: Anyone willing to rebuild abandoned land and create something that brings comfort to the people can claim it for cheap. Cha-Ching! A group of hopeful entrepreneurs (you and your fellow players) pool your last remaining coins and purchase a crumbling roadside ruin in Moonglow Vale, a travel route between the capital city and the bustling Bayside Bazaar. The plan? Turn it into a tavern. There’s only one problem. You don’t actually have the money to build it. Fortunately, Uncle Doof, that “friend of the family” who always seems to show up uninvited is willing to loan you the startup funds. Song long as you pay him back, that can't be too hard, right? Now it's up to you and your partners to transform a pile of rubble into a thriving tavern while paying off your debt and discovering your place in the valley. Hi! I'm Austin, your GM.
