Afield in the Firelands

Traverse the volatile volcanic coasts or delve into the unnamed canyons, thwart or join the corruption dwelling among bustling mining cities, fight or flee from unnamed desert monsters, bolster the province's political power or launch a stratagem of subterfuge to overthrow the leaders, and more in the continent of Alyria! The Short: We need 3-4 more players for our role-play-heavy, action-packed, mind-stimulating RPG campaign. The campaign started in D&D 5e. We can continue the game in 5e or convert to the enticing Mork Borg or Cairn systems (wink wink). Offline game in La Habra, CA. We play on Sunday, and we're trying to determine if we'll do once or twice a month. We can figure it out as a group. Us: We have 2 dudes. We're in our 30s. We're friendly to all types of folks. We like sword & sorcery, espionage & intrigue, and exciting narratives. We prefer the hard-to-beat style of games because they're extremely rewarding and lean closer to OSR, but we can jump into epic fantasy as easily as grimdark. However, we don't want to run a meat grinder; we want investment in characters and the world. We can start up a new campaign in the world or continue with some important missions already in play. The players will choose. You: You don't need to know how to play; we can teach you, but you will need to know how to role-play a character and get invested. The DM can guide you with world details. Passion and creativity go a long way. Please be 18+ in age so we can say ridiculous things around each other without guilt. We'll need communication from you and respectful behavior with the group. Easy enough, right? Table: The Table is kind and understanding. No politics or religion discussions at the table or in chat to keep the peace and enjoy the escapism. DM is experienced, patient with new players, communicative, and has his own homebrew world and homebrew rules to keep things fresh for veterans. Laughs and good-natured humor are encouraged. We usually bring appetizers and drinks to share. The best Tables are ones composed of friends, so don't be shy about making new friends out of us. Trial: We will try you out the Table a few times to make sure everyone is the right fit because we want everyone to have warm fuzzies and a great time playing. Join us soon, adventurer. The world awaits.
