The Crooked Moon

At the stroke of midnight, a ghastly fog rolls in. From somewhere beyond the veil comes the shriek of a haunting train whistle, mournful and terrible, like a choir of wailing souls. Then an old black locomotive appears from the gloom: the Ghostlight Express. Those who board are carried to Druskenvald, a land lost in the shrouded realms of death. It is a place of endless night, crooked houses, harvest songs, blazing wicker, ancient traditions, and roads that vanish into mist. This is an 18+ Dungeons & Dragons 5e campaign using The Crooked Moon. New players are welcome, and players should be respectful, LGBTQ+ friendly, consistent with attendance, and willing to communicate if they cannot make a session. Hey everyone! I’m looking to put together a group for a long-term Pathfinder 2e Kingmaker campaign. This is a game about exploration, survival, politics, kingdom-building, and the very complicated process of turning a dangerous wilderness into a nation of your own. This will be run online using Foundry VTT for the game and Discord for voice. Campaign Premise You have been sent south by Brevoy into the infamous Stolen Lands, a region known for bandits, monsters, old ruins, rival powers, and plenty of things that would rather not see civilization take root. At first, your job is simple: explore the land, chart the wilderness, deal with local threats, and prove that this territory can be claimed. But Kingmaker is not just about clearing hexes and fighting monsters. Over time, the party will have the chance to found a settlement, make alliances, handle crises, defend their people, and decide what kind of kingdom they want to build. Will your nation be just? Ruthless? Chaotic? Noble? A disaster held together by duct tape and ambition? That part is up to you. What I’m Looking For I’m looking for 5 players who want to commit to a long-term campaign and actually be part of the table. You do not need to be a professional roleplayer or know every rule, but I do want people who are willing to participate, communicate, and engage with the party and the story. I would prefer players who have not played Kingmaker before, since I want the campaign’s story, choices, and surprises to feel fresh. New Pathfinder players are welcome. I’m still somewhat new to PF2e myself, though I understand the basics, so patience and a willingness to learn together are appreciated. Table Expectations This is meant to be a consistent, long-running group. Kingmaker is a large campaign, and I want players who are interested in sticking around, getting invested, and building something together over time. Please be the kind of player who: Shows up consistently Gives notice when something comes up Has a decent mic and stable internet Is willing to talk, roleplay, and make decisions Engages with the world instead of fading into the background Respects the other players Wants the group to succeed and have fun together You do not have to be loud or super outgoing. Quieter players are totally fine. I just want everyone to be present and involved. GM Note In about 2 months, I will be moving. That should not interfere with the campaign, but I want to be upfront about it. My goal is still to build a permanent group and keep the game going long-term. I’m also still learning Pathfinder 2e, so I may not be perfect with every rule right away. I’m happy to learn, improve, and work with the group as we go.
