Roleplay focused
---SCHEDULING---
Ideally I'd like to run on either Mondays or Saturdays within the time frame of Noon - 6pm. I typically don't like running sessions for longer than 3 hours, however if we are really into it I'm alright with going over that.
---INTRODUCTION---
Years ago.. you had aspirations of adventure and heroics. You wanted so desperately to escape the monotony of life and board a ship.. to leave your old life behind and learn the stories that ride along the waves. Recently, you took notice to a flyer on the town job board, "Sailors Wanted - Merchant ships needing protection". Reading it ignited a fire in your heart and you immediately joined the ship which you'd later learn was called the [], a group of freelancers and mercenaries offering their strength in return for money. What will you make of this new life? What stories and hidden secrets of the ocean will you uncover?

---Twists/Homebrew---
- No healing magic outside of religiously charged magics
- Custom mechanics built to emphasize survival
- Dwarves are ancient and no longer alive (Not playable)
---House Rules---
Crunchy Crits
- Should you crit, roll your damage die and add whatever you roll to the max number on your die. E.I. If your damage die is a D8 and you roll a 4, you deal 12 damage.
Subtle Rolls
- At any point the DM can request a subtle roll. This is a roll that only the DM sees the result of and is used to mitigate subconscious god-modding.
Dungeon Turns
- A modified version of the old dungeon turns system
Should you, the player, have any suggestions for other house rules.. feel free to let me know. Don't be upset if I decide not to use them though.
---ABOUT ME---
Hey, I'm Griz! I've been playing D&D for about 13 years and have been DMing for about 5. I greatly enjoy running narative focused games and cultivating a space for immersive character development and plot expansion. I try to keep a 75:25 ratio of roleplay:combat, however I will run full combat sessions if the battle is big enough. I use FoundryVTT for all of my games, however for the sake of not hardcore limiting character creation I allow players to play pen & paper as long as the character you are building is run by me and we are in agreeance that they are alright for this setting. I love homebrew, adore storytelling and creating, and will always strive for the best!
My Fiance will likely join the game should scheduling work out, however that is not a guarentee. If they do, the player count will be at 6. That is why I have it set to 5. If they do not join, then 5 is a comfortable number as it is so let's go explore!
