The Cosmere Roleplaying Game

Step into a universe of adventure and Investiture!

We wanted this system in the library before we had time to write it properly, so consider this entry a placeholder. If you've got hours logged with it, we'd love your help turning this into something worth reading - reach out.

Overview

The Cosmere Roleplaying Game is an officially licensed tabletop RPG based on Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere universe - the shared setting behind The Stormlight Archive, Mistborn, and a dozen other series - designed by Andrew Fischer and published by Brotherwise Games in partnership with Sanderson's own Dragonsteel Entertainment. Announced in late 2023, its August 2024 Kickstarter raised over $15 million, making it not just the most-funded tabletop RPG in the platform's history but the most-funded tabletop game of any kind. The first campaign setting, covering Roshar from The Stormlight Archive, released digitally in mid-2025 and in print that October; a second setting covering Scadrial from Mistborn is planned for 2026, with more of the Cosmere expected to follow as Sanderson's novels do.

Your path to Radiance begins here! An Honorblade, the legendary weapon of a Herald, has disappeared. Journey across Roshar to pursue a corrupted Radiant, recover the stolen Blade, and oppose the forces of Odium! This campaign-length adventure for the Cosmere® Roleplaying Game takes characters from 1st to 8th level. Along the way, characters must seek fallen Heralds, survive the Everstorm, and choose whether to swear Radiant oaths. Created in close partnership with Brandon Sanderson and Dan Wells, the story of Stonewalkers™ reveals new secrets about the history of the Stormlight™ setting. IMPORTANT: I GM by Rule of Cool (RoC) not Rules as Written (RaW). I like to keep the tone casual, welcoming, and accepting of the player's needs. I do what makes sense for the game and use the rules as a framework structure, not the law. Additionally, this is the first time that I will have ran the campaign, which is why I'm doing it at a discounted rate. Anyone who signs up should be prepared for everyone involved to be going through the learning process and the occasional retcon. I have all the materials and am constantly studying them but do not yet have them committed to memory. I feel full disclosure of this fact is important up front to ensure I do right by anyone who signs up. In short, you should be ready for me to occasionally mess up (often hilariously) but when I do I make it right in the players favor. You should be ready for a casual fun time, not a strictly by the book adherence to the rules and the source material. Lastly, I have not read the Stormlight series of novels. I picked this up because it sounded like a good time and it wasn't until after that I understood it's origin. I'm working my way through Brandon Sandersons works at present but have yet to catch up with the current timeline in which Stonewalkers is set, which is as the Source book describes during the year of the global war that follows the events of Oathbringer in the True Desolation era. The campaign is $10 per session per person.  There is currently no set end date.

Hi there,  I am looking for a pen and paper group meeting around Antwerp or Mechelen in person on weekday evenings. As my Dutch is not very good, I would appreciate an English speaking round. Playstyle: immersion and fun at the table for everyone are key for me Let me know if you have a free seat or want to found a new group. Cheers, Martin

I've been playing ttrpgs for over 10 years and running them for about 5 years. I have experience with many different ttrpgs such as Pathfinder 2e, Masks: A New Generation and Fabula Ultima. I prefer games with a solid balance of roleplay and combat but I don't mind a campaign that leans more towards one or the other. Currently I can play on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (GMT+2).

Dice roller
D-Roller is a free online dice roller built around a real rigid-body physics engine rather than a random number generator. Every throw is simulated — sequential impulses at a fixed 360Hz, full collision between dice, friction and restitution — and the result is read off the geometry of whichever face ends up pointing at the ceiling. Nothing is drawn in advance and nothing can produce a number without the dice actually being thrown. It carries the full polyhedral set — D4, D6, D8, D10, D12 and D20 — and up to twenty dice on the table at once in any mix, so an attack and its damage are one throw rather than two. It also reads a roll the way a table does. Two D20 are shown side by side and never added, because two twenties are advantage or disadvantage and no such total exists; a D20 thrown beside damage dice keeps the attack as the headline and the damage underneath; and a D10 that lands on 0 counts as ten, the way the printing on a real one means. Five die finishes, seven table surfaces, impact sound, and a stage the player can relight. No account, no download, no advertising in the roller. It runs in the browser, on a phone as well as a desktop. Links d-roller.com - Official website

Hi, there! Welcome to The RPG Gazette, I hope you made yourself cozy! We are Yuno & Șerban, the co-founders of this project. We came up with this idea after perhaps too many early sangrias on some Spanish beach close to two years ago, when we decided that we want to do more for promoting and nurturing the broader TTRPG community. Thus, we decided we will not write that much about D&D, instead focusing on showcasing other TTRPGs, through reviews, news and essays, some of them structured more like opinion pieces and some of them more academic in nature.
