Description

Shadows of the Coast Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Veteran DM Location/Timezone: GMT+2 Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday Roles sought: Looking for players to fill the remaining spots. Cost: ~30$ Shadows of the Coast is a beginner-friendly D&D 5e campaign set in the Forgotten Realms. Summary / Intro The Sword Coast stands on the edge of a new era. Trade flourishes, great cities prosper, and adventurers carve their names into history. Yet beneath the surface, something is changing. Ancient powers stir in forgotten ruins, secret organizations tighten their grip from the shadows, and whispers of strange disappearances, forbidden magic, and long-lost civilizations spread across the land. From the bustling streets of Waterdeep to the untamed wilderness of the North, every choice carries consequences. Allies may become enemies, legends may prove false, and the greatest threats are often the ones no one sees coming. Your story begins as a seemingly ordinary adventure, but the deeper you venture into the shadows, the more you will uncover a conspiracy capable of reshaping the future of the entire Sword Coast. Whether through steel, magic, diplomacy, or cunning, your actions will determine what emerges when the darkness finally reveals itself. A few words from me I'm the DM for this campaign. While the setting is the Forgotten Realms, this adventure tells a completely original story. You'll explore iconic locations across the Sword Coast while encountering new factions, mysteries, memorable NPCs, and conflicts created specifically for this campaign. This is a long-term, character-driven adventure built around exploration, roleplay, political intrigue, forgotten civilizations, dangerous dungeons, and cinematic combat. Your decisions will shape the world around you, opening new opportunities, forging alliances, and creating lasting consequences throughout the campaign. Whether you're delving into ancient ruins beneath Waterdeep, navigating the politics of powerful factions, or confronting threats hidden in the darkness beyond civilization, your choices will define the legacy your characters leave behind. Expect Tactical, cinematic combat Memorable NPCs and deep roleplay Open-world exploration Ancient mysteries and faction politics Beginner-friendly character creation and guidance I’m a top-rated GM on StartPlaying with extensive experience running long-term campaigns. Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
One would think the Sea of Fallen Stars ought to be gentler than wide fathomless expanses of Faeruns oceans. One would be dangerously wrong. Ships inbound for Alaghon are going missing all the time: to be capsized by slavers, boarded by pirates is a comparably lucky fate. Less fortunate crews are gone entirely without trace in hours, only floating splinters left to show their fate. Your crew might not be among the lucky: this night, you are woken up by a loud horrid crack and sound of gushing saltwater, shaken like loose pebbles in Sapphire's hold by some unseen calamity and thrown out into the water, when her hull crumples to pieces. You should have drowned. And yet, when your lungs spasm for oxygen and you gulp in water, it sustains you as well as air. Something has preserved your lives. What, you wander, will it demand in return? System: DnD 5e; Setting: Faerûn / Forgotten Realms; Character Level: 1. Payment: 25$ per person. About the Dungeon master: I'm Julia, a Ukrainian TTRPG GM since 2018, GMing online since 2022. Most campaigns have been played in D&D 5e, and several in Vampire: The Masquerade, Changeling: The Lost, and Blades in the Dark. I prefer character-driven narratives with grittier political subplots, but still with a good amount of combat and shenanigans™ Contact me to register. (This saturday at 12 p.m. (UTC+3))

Have you wanted to try D&D for a while, but keep thinking: “I don't know the rules.” “I'm probably terrible at roleplaying.” “I don't even know how to make a character.” “Everyone else will know what they're doing except me.” Then you're exactly the kind of player I enjoy introducing to D&D. I'm an experienced DM running weekly online campaigns, and a large number of my current long-term players started with little or zero real D&D experience. You do not need to read the entire Player's Handbook before joining. You don't need to memorize every spell, know how every mechanic works, or come in with a 10-page character backstory. We'll build your character together, I'll explain things as they become relevant, and you'll learn naturally by actually playing the game. And don't worry—beginner-friendly does not mean the campaign is watered down. The dice still matter. Your decisions have consequences. Characters can succeed, fail, get themselves into horrible situations, come up with ridiculous solutions, and completely change where the story goes. My games focus heavily on: • Character development • Roleplay and relationships between characters • Player freedom and creative solutions • Exploration and meaningful decisions • A story that reacts to what the party actually does • Helping new players learn without constantly stopping the game • A consistent weekly campaign rather than playing once every few months One of my current players described the experience like this: “The players have freedom, and no decision ever feels like a wrong one. I keep coming back for the DM, the players, and the characters and stories we've told together.” — Remy / Joffarex You don't have to be an amazing roleplayer when you start either. Quite a few of my players were nervous about roleplaying when they first joined. That confidence usually develops naturally once you become comfortable with your character and the group. GAME DETAILS System: D&D 5e / 2024/2014 rules Campaign: Faerun for new players Format: Online Voice: Discord VTT: Roll20 Session Length: Around 3–4 hours Group Size: Around 5 players Frequency: Once per week Price: Session 0, character creation, and onboarding are free. Regular campaign sessions are $20/player Experience Required: Absolutely none Current Openings: 5 SCHEDULING Wednesday, 8 PM GMT+4 / 12 PM ET my schedule is flexible, so if this time doesn't suit you, we can discuss it over a call THE ADVENTURE This is a long-term campaign set in Faerûn, built specifically for a new group. You’ll start as relatively inexperienced adventurers and gradually become involved in larger conflicts, dangerous factions, strange locations, and stories tied directly to your characters. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, combat, mysteries, character backstories, and choices that can genuinely change where the campaign goes. This is not a pre-written railroad where you just follow quest markers—the direction of the story will depend heavily on the party. INTERESTED? Send me a message here first with: Your timezone Your general weekly availability Whether you've played D&D before What kind of character, campaign, or D&D experience sounds fun to you Anything you're nervous or unsure about If it sounds like the game could be a good fit, I'll give you my Discord and we can talk properly there before you commit to anything. I care quite a lot about group chemistry, so I'd rather have five people who genuinely enjoy playing together every week than simply fill seats as quickly as possible. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Female DM with 6+ years experience looking for 1 more player who loves to roleplay, delve deep into lore and backstories, and get a kick out of scheming, plotting and exploiting a homebrew open world in a long term weekly DND campaign. In a world where corporations vie over powerful resources, the gods have fallen silent and every choice has consequences - the party has travelled to the land of South Rhodesia where dragons rule in peace. It's the end of the year, the 50th anniversary of Godfall and day of the dead, a festival has taken over the streets of the dragon fort and everyone is ready to celebrate. While we have already begun the adventure, it is not too late to join! We have a barbarian, a monk, a necromancer, a warlock, and a druid who have come together to unravel the mysteries of the crystals which cover this world and save people from the machinations of the mega-corporations.  We are seeking 1 more player to join the party long term, there is still much of the story to unravel. If you enjoy delving deep into lore, roleplaying with the party and with NPCs and exploring the world around you - then this is the group for you. A replacement rail service catapulted our party into the chaos of Fracture, they've fought off train robbers only to become train robbers themselves. In doing so, they discovered a secret slave trade that they are attempting to bring down, whilst working against the corruption of the corporations and trying to (mostly) be the good guys (I think). Amongst the dangers of corporate research, deals with devils and the fury of freedom fighters, they have uncovered something else, something so much deeper and more deadly than the problems on the surface of Heleth - the truth about crystals. As the party seek out answers from silent gods, they wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and where on Heleth it might lead them. New players will be offered a free session 0 which will include a catch up of the story so far and discussion as to how their character will integrate into the party. $20/session Thursdays 7:00pm-10:30pm BST 2014 rules with a few homebrew ones thrown in the mix, open to exceptions and edits. Level 9 Any class or species (except Spelljammer), open to homebrew requests. All backstories will be integrated into the world and story, with each character getting a chance to explore them. So, if magical storms, corrupt corporations, and crystal super weapons sounds like your kind of thing - message me if you want to know more or check out the game listing here.
