NOTE: This campaign is in progress. But we've only done 1 session and we are still looking for 2 more players after one player joined and left before the first session and we'd be elated to have you join us. We have already had our first session but dw in general you won't have missed anything too important. All information regarding session 0 and 1 I will gladly provide to you and ask for your preferences as well! :3
Time: 5:00 PM GMT+8 = 9:00 GMT+0
The Borderland calls for adventurers to come defend the fringe of civilization! or (un)wittingly abet Chaos in destroying it!
Test your mettle (and your wits and guile as well!) in the caves of Chaos or the surrounding untamed Wilderness abound with treasures and troubles, knowing that you will always have a safe place to return to in the Keep, the bastion of Law.
Well... until your retreat leads a giant army of hobgoblins, kobolds, an owl bear, an ogre, and an assortment of other unknowable beasts to tear up the two poor souls guarding the gate and terrorize the citizenry. And then ditching it all to go gamble your treasures away somewhere less chaotic.
This campaign will be great for you if:
- You are new (this is a beginner's module)
- You like dungeon delves
- You like exploring and fighting
- You like caves and caverns
- You like shifting alliances (you can do the shifting yourself)
- You hate Chaos and love Law
- You hate Law and love Chaos
- You are impartial to either/both
- Your heart is filled with nostalgia (like me :D)
Hi, I am Bohrreal and I have always wanted to run this module ever since it came out. I first started playing RPGS with ADND in 2020 and KoTB was my first ever campaign. Of course I would be lying if I were to say nostalgia didn't at the very least affect my decision in running this, but I don't want it to just be me reminiscing and being all "those were the days", But I want to start a new journey, with new friends and potentially new stories to tell. So it doesn't really matter at all if you've played the og before (or even if you're completely new to DND) I want you to join me! (no pressure ofc)
As a DM I am very laid-back (but still very excited to run!). I like to create a welcoming and fun environment. When thinking of what makes a session fun I think of both what's happening in the game and the people I'm playing it with and I try to not put one above the other. I am generally very lax with the rules and am open to and always encourage ideas from my players no matter how "stupid" they may seem at the point of conception. I am always looking to improve and I think the best way to do so is to play! (and reflect on my decisions).
I do not speak English as a first language but I am conversational and know enough to DM, I might have a slight accent so I apologize beforehand. I try my best 😭. I am also a He/him, 19 (20 in July), and am in my second year in uni (studying physiotherapy!
We will have a session 0 to discuss whatever tones or styles of play we want, as well as any limits or veils, but expect a lot of combat and exploration.
Platform: Discord and Foundry for VTT
Current PCs:
- Rene Rootbound: Warforged Sage Druid, an adorable little tree man! though he speaks of a not so distant past when he was a gnome... Surely he jests
- Mercutio: Tiefling Hermit Monk, a traveling "madman" thats actually pretty chill, a member of a nearby religious organization known for strictly adhering to a "cosmic balance" and "neutrality"
- Cohen Viscante: High Elf Acolyte Bard (College of Lore), a lovable merchant with a heart of gold and surely and equally squeaky clean past and connections
