Description

"The skies grow restless. Thick gloom clouds rapidly fill the skyscape, announcing the approach of a great storm. However, instead of rain or snow, foul-smelling crimson drops pour down, covering the landscape in red. As the ordinant panics, babbling unintelligibly about transgression and punishment, your troop leader commands you to seek shelter. Then... BOOOM. A giant, deformed purple serpent drops from the sky, lunging forward to reveal a bipartide mandible with three rows of sharp teeth. Do you flee, or do you take up arms and charge the beast?" Welcome, Adventurer! This is a dark and gritty campaign set in a custom setting based on Daggerheart's "Age of Umbra" campaign frame. It takes place as the world-engulfing darkness -- the Umbra -- arrives. In this campaign you will: ⚔️ Fight corrupted creatures based on apocalyptic descriptions of demons and Dark Souls monsters. 🩸Survive treacherous and deadly environments, like the Blood Rain or Acidic River. 🤝 Choose to help (☠️ or exploit) common folk struggling to survive. 🔎Scavenge a vast and deformed world in search of a safe haven. If you like collaborative storytelling, are brave enough to face overwhelming odds, and want to experience first-hand the world of two Critical Role campaigns, this table is for you! No prior experience with Daggerheart is required. Pre-generated characters available. Are you ready for the Apocalypse? Join me at StartPlaying: Log in to view

Daggerheart | What came after the fall.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
We are a group looking for 1-2 new players to join us for an upcoming daggerheart campaign that takes place in my new homebrew setting of Insonja. A mysterious supernatural event caused 3/4th of the world's population to disapear in a flash and then the world fell apart to war, famine and monsters resulting in its current post-apocolyptic state. The players are survivors who reside in the former capital of the world's greatest super power, the imperium of Reem. What survived of the capital and the heartland of the imperium was taken over by a cult that worships a group of angelic beings that are known as the Heralds. The rules of the cult are strict and they expect everyone who resides in its domain to follow said rules regardless of own opinion on religion. However the capital of Reem is one of the few safe areas in the world with civilization. Will this cult provide the safety and salvation that it claims to offer, or is it just replacing the chaos of the wasteland with a different form of evil?  The plan is to run the game as long as players keep interest in it. While I am new to running daggerheart I do have plenty of experience running dnd 5e and other systems.  I have a zero tolerance policy for bigotry and bullying. I am on the autism spectrum and we have LGBT+ players in the group. If interested in the game send my a message on discord, my username is billbroston. We will try to schedule a chat with me and the rest of the current group to decide who will be the ones to be invited to the campaign. We plan on having a session at least every other week on Wednesda.

🌍🌍〰️〰️〰️ | Exploration ⚔️⚔️⚔️〰️〰️ | Combat 🎭🎭🎭〰️〰️ | Social RP & Drama 🧩〰️〰️〰️〰️ | Puzzles 😂😂😂〰️〰️ | Humor # When are we playing I'll host games on the 7th, 9th and 13th of November, starting at 2:30PM EST/7:30 PM UCT! # About the Campaign 🧑‍🏫 Learn the Game | 🎲 Sit and Play! | 😄 Have Fun! Marlowe Fairwind, the right-hand sorcerer of King Emeris, has gathered her most trusted allies to carry an important package to Hush, a small village within the ancient forest of Sablewood. The crate is large, heavy and sealed with magic, addressed to the Whitefire Arcanist. You’ve been given a map and a carriage, and the promise of reward upon your arrival. # What This Campaign Offers 🎓 Learn Daggerherat - A quick rundown of the mechanics, providing pre-made characters, complete with suggestions of links and background questions to help you immerse yourself. ⚖️ An All-round experience – Combat, exploration, roleplaying, social encounters and magical places. Get a taste of everything applied to the system of Daggerheart, and find out how it works for you! ✨ Whimsy - Although the campaign is short, the city of Hush and its inhabitants carry a certain whimsy and magic within them, making them fun personalities to engage with, so the session aims to be fun and light-hearted. ⏳ No Prep One Shot - You don't need to do any work; just show up to the game, and I'll teach all the rules and offer characters. Just sit down, learn the game, play a session and we're done! 🐣 Kid Friendly - Sablewood Messengers's only heavy themes are the inclusion of Undeads and Violence. The undeads can be easily re-skinned to something more friendly, and the combat can be quirky and silly if needed. Other than that, it's magic, fairies and songs! # In-Depth Campaign Structure Designed with beginners in mind, Sablewood Messengers is often called the Quickstart. It was released alongside Daggerheart as a free content to help players get into the game easily. It's a single session which includes explaining the game, going through two possible combats, and social encounters with a magical city and a quirky fairy grandma, with a lot of room for players and characters to interact and become closer throughout their travel. Characters are included in the module, and they have a suggestion of how they connect already included in their backgrounds, as well as questions prepared to help players strengthen these bonds. The game's rules are very simple, and can be explained within an hour. # Preparing For The Session You'll need accounts on Roll20 and Discord. No character creation needed! Characters will be provided at the start of the session! Payment and scheduling is done through [StartPlaying.Games](http://StartPlaying.Games) # About Me! Hey there! I'm Erick, and I have been a regular RPG player since 2015, but I've been involved in the world of RPGs and have been a fan since I was a little kid, when my brother used to GM for me. I'm a big fan of game design in general; so I also enjoy creating content and tweaking the rules as needed. I've played a few other systems, but D&D 5th Edition is my favorite by far. RPGs are my favorite hobby, and I believe they have immense narrative, rational and therapeutic value. I am happy to teach newcomers and engage with veterans alike. Although I embrace heavy themes and take the narrative itself seriously within the game, our communion as writers and players is something very light and comfortable for me. We'll use battlemaps for all scenes that include a scuffle, and mostly use theater of the mind for the rest of the scenes; although I do share the images that I use as reference for locations, when there are any. We'll use music to set the vibe as we play, as well as some sound effects, all integrated within Roll20. I got a firm grasp of the rules, and I am lax with them, trying to create a flow on scenes, without losing balance. Preparing to play on the 7th, 9th and 13th of November, depending on your preference! Quite a bit of content from previous editions of Ravenloft, along with new content, has been added in hopes of creating a new experience for newcomers and veterans alike. About the adventure It was a quiet day when a desperate messenger arrived to the great city Ravenport carrying a most distressing message: The nearby lumber town of Halzen has been overtaken by a mysterious mist, any who enter it never to be seen again. The townsfolk put together all the money and resources they had to send an envoy requesting aid, for dark things stalk the nights and more and more of the inhabitants disappear come morning, the sun ever dimmer. The Black Hound's Consort Mercenary Guild has put out an official bounty of 500 units of sterling silver for any that may solve this mystery, but you may find that gold would not have been enough for what you found yourselves against.
