Description

The Tides of Seraan is a homebrew 5e game I'm hoping to run longterm for a group of 4-5 enthusiastic players, with a start time of 6 PM EST on Saturdays. The game will be largely theatre of the mind, with a combination of roll20 and Discord used for voice chat, storing rolls, and all that fun stuff. I typically run more roleplay focused, character driven games, with frequency of combat encounters largely depending on the party. I lean towards lower level starts as well, and I expect to kick things off in the levels 1-3 range. Please contact me either on Discord or through Groupfinder if you have any questions or are potentially interested. Here's the general hook for the setting, thanks for reading! "Within Oado, the home of Seraan’s Everlasting Capital and the proudly proclaimed “Heart of Tranquility '' of all the Whispering Seas, there lies a deep, deep wound. The Ivory Cleft can only be described as a gaping gash in the land, spanning coast to coast and inviting forth an everlasting torrent of the region’s mystical waters into its untamed, volatile depths. Nestled within and extending inward from the edge of the Cleft lies Paalna, a massive, multilayered city that serves as a hub of traffic and trade all throughout Seraan and its isles. Whether it's across the Whispering Seas, through Oado's lush expanses, or deep into its elusive depths, Paalna serves as the origin of countless journeys, as well as the resting place of ripe opportunity."

Hello, My name is blu I'm looking for a group to play with in a bleach based campaign and a DM willing to run it Theres a Source book everyone will be able to get onto for free at all times online and I have saved the CS's thats specially made for the source book, all I'm looking for is up to 3 other players who want to try the class/races within the book and a dm willing to build a campaign based around the SB. I will send or put the SB somewhere in the dis server or if you want to peak at it sooner I can send it to you before joining the server. What would I like to play as? A soul reaper based would be preferable over others but also for extra challenge a hollow campagin could be fun if we can fighure out how to do it. why bleach over normal dnd? 1. why not, 2. bc I really like bleach. how long of a campaign do I want? Up to the dm and players but I'd like a longer campaign. what level to start on? id like to start at level 1 to take the steps of what you are gaining within the book and gain more of a understanding of the class or classes in the SB. Finally where can you contact me? Just dm here and ask, I want to know that I'm getting friended and not just randomly get a friend request and ignore it. 1, big thing I don't want is NO GEN AI AT ALL, please if you like using gen AI please don't bother, I don't want to see AI "art". 2, No homo, trans, or any other phobs, or isims, I won't take it and kick you out of the group myself. IF the group works well together I'd like to dm a Campaign of my own with the same group so if you're dming this campaign you can look forward to a campaign after we're done playing this one. Thank you for reading I hope to see someone or  multiple people ready to play. Blu UwU

This is a very roleplay-heavy campaign. Combat absolutely happens and can be important, but there is generally less of it than you would find in a typical D&D game. Characters, relationships, exploration, lore, choices, and the consequences of those choices make up a huge portion of the campaign. The tone can also change quite a bit depending on what is happening. There are storylines that get genuinely serious, emotional, or intense, but there are also sessions where everyone spends half the night laughing. One of the things we enjoy about the campaign is that it has room for both. It can be dramatic when it needs to be without feeling like the characters aren’t allowed to have fun. The DM has also built an extremely large amount of lore over the years. There are history documents, setting information, character-accessible documents, and other material that gets sent out as we learn more about the universe. You absolutely do not need to memorize four and a half years of campaign history before joining, but you do need to be someone who doesn’t mind reading and engaging with the material you’re given.

ABOUT: This adventure takes place in the Sansinukob Wildspace. This system has 13 planets, held together by a dead and forgotten god at the center. There are no suns here, only moons to illuminate every planet. Fifty years ago, a monstrous sea serpent named Bakunawa awakened from her slumber, consumed by endless hunger. She consumed all six moons above planet Tawalisi, one by one, until they were left in darkness for thirty years. Twenty years ago, the datu, Maximo Catubig, invented Bulan Lights, magical lamps that emit artificial moonlight, finally bringing light back to his people. They were a solace, soon placed in every home in Tawalisi. The people were finally able to thrive again, and Maximo helped pave the way to further technological advancement. However, decades of darkness had taken its toll; Some of the citizens of Tawalisi have become consumed by the same hunger that possessed Bakunawa, mutating their bodies and destroying their minds until all they can think about is eating the Bulan Lights. They will stop at nothing to consume all sources of moonlight, and will hurt and kill anything and anyone that gets in the way. Datu Maximo has called for help from all adventurers willing to listen. Assist him in installing these lights wherever he can, so he can save his people from being plunged into darkness again.
