companion for tabletop roleplaying groups that want scene-matched music and a written record of their sessions. It listens to the session and selects AI-generated music to match the current scene, from a tavern conversation to combat. It also provides a session recap for campaign notes. The human game master still runs the game. Saga uses AI, including AI-generated music. Music choices can misread a scene, and recaps can contain mistakes; groups should review recaps before treating them as campaign canon. Everyone at the table should agree to session listening and processing before use. See the project's privacy policy https://sagathebard.com/privacy/ for session-data handling. Saga is aimed at groups playing through Discord, rather than people looking for a general-purpose audio editor or a replacement game master. It combines music selection and session documentation in one companion, so prospective users can assess whether that combination fits their existing table workflow. The official website provides a demo and current subscription details.

The Star Wars D6 Character Generator is a web app for creating characters, droids, ships, vehicles, and NPCs for the Star Wars D6 2nd Edition Revised & Expanded System and REUP. All data is stored locally in the browser and can be exported and imported as JSON. The application can be used entirely locally and offline. With a hosted installation, user accounts are also available. These allow you to share created characters, droids, ships, and other content with other users. (Requires an account) You can also create gaming groups where players can submit their character sheets to the game master for approval. (Requires an account) All you need to create an account is a username and password. Special thanks go to Chance Gibboney. Without his Character Generator Excel spreadsheets, the idea for this project would likely never have come about. His spreadsheets were used by the developer and his gaming group for many years and formed the basis for the development of the web application. The project is actively being developed and is available on GitHub under the MIT license

Hackmaster

English
Complex
Low-Fantasy
HackMaster is a crunchy, old-school fantasy tabletop roleplaying game published by Kenzer & Company, created by Jolly R. Blackburn and David Kenzer. It began as a fictional game, a parody of Dungeons & Dragons played by the characters in Blackburn's comic strip Knights of the Dinner Table, and became a real product when the comic's fictional third edition turned into the published Fourth Edition in 2001. That edition won the 2002 Origins Award for Game of the Year 2001. HackMaster Fifth Edition followed in 2011, bringing a Player's Handbook and Gamemaster's Guide, and the line has since grown to more than forty add-ons and supplements. Kenzer and Company announced a 25th anniversary edition, HackMaster XXV, in March 2026 through a Kickstarter campaign. The Fifth Edition directly evolved from HackMaster Fourth Edition, which is a custom system derived from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D). Description Players create characters from a race and a class, as in the older editions of Dungeons & Dragons, in a low-magic world that reads as strongly old-school. The default setting is the Kingdoms of Kalamar. The Game Master (GM) runs combat, exploration and the consequences of both, and the game's rules back up a harder, more simulationist style than the parody that started it. The game asks a table to accept a lot of detail. The rules are described as crunchy, with many optional combat moves and fighting styles and wound-by-wound healing that takes real time. It suits groups who enjoy knowing exactly how a fight works and don't mind reference tables, and it is a poor fit for anyone who wants a quick, rules-light evening.
