Description

"For as long as anyone can remember, humanity has lived among the clouds." The world is a sea of endless blue skies, where great floating Sanctums drift upon unseen currents. Some are bustling kingdoms with towering cities and fertile fields. Others are little more than lonely rocks suspended above an endless abyss. Trade, diplomacy, and survival depend on airships. Every day, captains brave violent squalls, hungry sky beasts, and ruthless pirates to keep the Sanctums connected. Entire fortunes are won or lost on the strength of a crew and the reliability of their vessel. Beneath the Sanctums churns The Veil—an eternal storm said to swallow anything foolish enough to descend into it. Lightning without end. Black clouds deeper than any ocean. Every child grows up hearing the same warning: "Nothing lies beneath the Veil but death." No one questions it. The First Builders, the mysterious civilization that raised the Sanctums into the heavens, vanished long ago. Their impossible machines still hum beneath every island, keeping the world aloft, but their knowledge has faded into myth. Their ruins dot the Sanctums, waiting for those brave—or desperate—enough to explore them. You are not heroes. Not yet. You're simply people looking for your next opportunity. Whether you're chasing coin, escaping your past, seeking adventure, or just trying to make a living among the clouds... Everything begins with a simple job.

Whether this is your first time playing DnD or you're an experienced dungeon master, all are welcome. My table is an inclusive space for everyone, regardless of your identity, familiarity with Dungeons and Dragons, these specific modules, or tabletop roleplaying games in general. If you've never even rolled dice before, this is a great place to learn and explore what makes DnD fun! For those who have played either LMoP or DoIP, you get to experience the Starter Set and Essentials Kit like never before in a hybrid starter campaign that transitions into a trilogy of mid to upper level adventure modules. Create a brand new adventurer whose story begins with a simple delivery job that takes a sharp turn into proper hero business. Become the Heroes of Phandalin and rise to greater heights as you fight bandits, cults, and dragons. Face off against the champions of evil, uncover their schemes, and stop them before it's too late! --- The Lost Dragons of Phandelver reimagines The Lost Mine of Phandelver and The Dragon of Icespire Peak as a single adventure for 5th edition DnD (2014) ranging from levels 1-7. This prepares the party to begin the Beyond the Dragon of Icespire Peak trilogy and continue their story in three more published adventures: Storm Lord's Wrath, Sleeping Dragon's Wake, and Divine Contention. In total, you can expect to see your hero go from a level 1 novice to an experienced and battle hardened 13th level adventurer by the end of the campaign. This campaign is full of all your fantasy adventure classics: - exciting battles with iconic monsters - rustic towns in need of rescue - cults of evil gods in need of stopping - dragons to deal with, steal from, or slay - explore and travel across a vibrant and lived-in world - see your actions and ideals shape the world around you - discover long lost ruins full of ancient treasures and forgotten dangers - save the land and leave your mark as the greatest heroes of your time If you would like to join, check out the game's page on Start Playing: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmv1k8ihi003uie06tth15fz4?ref=cmmo4pune009gl104vl73qnsc

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
