Strange New Worlds [Free]

Strange New Worlds "Behold, with the fall of the Wall of Night, there are new lands to discover and conquer- for great and exotic are the spoils in the Lands Beyond Night." The eldritch Wall of Night has fallen without known cause or any fanfare. What was forbidden for centuries has opened up into either a new opportunity or threat. For now, incursions into the new lands are forestalled in fear the Wall of Night's possible return. For centuries the Three Kingdoms told themselves that all that lies beyond are wastelands filled with abominations and hungry ghosts. Caution seems to be the byword amongst the wealthy and powerful. Opportunity or disaster looms on the horizon. From amongst those for whom life is cheap the risk may be worth the reward. Bold men and women are needed to explore and stake claims for gods, king or even themselves. The truth, whatever that may be, is for these ambitious folk to discover.  Gird yourself, mount up and gather your team close for both untold riches and horrors surely await you. Precis: Kingdoms sequestered away under a magical curse suddenly lifted like what would have happened at the end of Sleeping Beauty when a kingdom suddenly appears in a world that has been evolving without them. Conspectus: Megafauna, Talislanta inspired, sword & sorcery, medieval knights against bronze-age warriors, European colonization from both sides of the equation, magic as technology, magical ecology, bronze-age cultures, inspiration from John Carters of Mars series, decadent cities, priests of chthonic gods, frank depictions of slavery and injustice, ziggurats, witch queens, isolation vs. multiculturalism, small and petty gods around every corner, what price ambition, goal-oriented, open sandbox, old-school play, cursed cities, ancient ruins aplenty, mythic underworld, alien-like species, place names like Qasr Balawat or Tel Ninqat, Scythians but riding axe beak mounts, Babylon and Mycenean giants, arcane polluted areas, loads of history without lore dumps, jingoism, manifest destiny, inequality, racism, religious persecution, fantasy areas just for the fun of it, cyclopean architecture built by actual cyclopes.

Cities in the Void

After the Great Cataclysm, the ten remaining cities of Decidia became encapsulated by Barriers to protect them from the extraplanar creatures that devastated the world. Life in the Ten Cities is often a struggle for their people, as dictatorial Elders rule their cities with an iron fist, and shadowy groups conspire to bring down the Barriers for their own purposes. As a resident of one of the Ten Cities, you have come to Malkuth, a sprawling metropolis city, seeking wealth, fame or perhaps something more... [Online] [5e 2024] Whispers Beneath the Sun

About the game: I am going to be starting up a long term 5th Edition game of Dungeons and Dragons based in a homebrew world. I'd like it that we (Myself, as Dungeon Master, and players I hope to add to the game) take our roleplay seriously, or at least not cracking jokes every other word. I hope/plan for this group to become more than a random group of strangers who only converse and associate with only on game days, to something more! It is planned to use 2024 rules, but I may revert back to 2014 if it proves unwelcoming. Playtime & Timezones: Currently. The game is planned to play Saturdays starting at 8 AM EST. With sessions lasting four hours. (Naturally with some bio breaks.) Important Information: I welcome and encourage new and inexperienced Dungeons and Dragons players! If you are new to Roleplaying or Dungeons and Dragons in general, then please do not be discouraged to send in your application. I highly discourage rules lawyers in my game and because of this have no problems welcoming new comers into the game. I will be willing to fully assist you in character creation and understanding the rules required to play. We will be using Discord as our VoIP and will also be the application I use to interview everyone a tiny bit before just blindly inviting someone in. As for a VTT we will be using Roll20! Enjoyment and Roleplay is my top priority! Enjoyment control isn't easy with two people not conversing correctly to one another and explaining how they feel about something, so I ask that if there is an issue or something preventing you from a better playing experience that you inform me. This way we can see what we can do to try and improve the situation if at all possible. As stated before, I enjoy more serious roleplay. This means that we can have many sessions that consist only of dialogue and minimal dice rolling. So if you’re looking for action and combat packed session each day we play then you may not fully enjoy this game, unless you go about causing conflicts. Hook/Pitch: The human Empire of Solum is rapidly expanding across the continent of Aetras, crushing any opposition beneath the armoured boots of its massive armies. The Solumites claim they do this in the name of unity and security, but the other races and nations of Aetras see their culture and beliefs threatened by the Imperial juggernaut and plot its downfall. The Sun watches. The Night remembers. You are conscripts, be that volunteers, criminals, or mercenaries sent to investigate what the Empire refuses to face openly. What begins as a job may become a choice between loyalty, faith, and the survival of the world itself. How Do I Join? You may find the google form application I fabricated right here! Eager to hear from anyone interested and have a great New Year! Here

Eberron 5E Campaign

Would anyone be down to play (and DM for me, because I am not a good DM) a 5e campaign set in Eberron? 2014 or 2024 or a mix of the two is both fine by me, my only limitation is that I live in Europe so if you are in the US session would have to be begin early to mid afternoon at the latest so I can attend. I'm familiar with the world and I have a few characters already, I can help as much as possible with the lore and the story and other players make their characters, I have experience as a player and with helping new players. I'm looking for something that has *some kind* of story moving us forward but also avenue to influence said story, e. i. ability of the DM to telegraph important plot points and make possible railroading make sense within the confines of the game. Collaborative storytelling. A mix of some humor, some drama, some serious, some action (medium difficulty please) - the point is to have fun and make a good tale together. A premade altered to fit the setting is fine as well - I am perfectly willing to help with whatever I can. (18+ only please, I'm an adult and with all due respect, I am not comfortable playing with anyone younger than 18.) if you are interested, my discord handle is @ro_blaze, don't hesitate to drop in and say hi!

D&D 5E - Beginner's

I'm relatively new to DnD. A few friends and I have played through both the Starter's Kit & Tomb of Annihilation. However, now I'm looking to try my hand at online. I thought it would be fun to join an online group playing across North America, if possible. Anyone either interested or perhaps already have such a group established that is looking for a new member? DM and players needed.

Hi my name is Hesti. I have a start-up group called Noblestalk Community. The Noblestalk Community is an open, inclusive D&D group for players of all experience levels. We welcome any characters from anywhere in the multiverse, start with low-commitment one-shots, and encourage anyone to try DMing or pitch ideas. There’s no player cap — more people means more games, with the goal of running multiple campaigns over time. If you are interested you can join the discord server: https://discord.gg/JbDJW5j9j

Players For "The Master's Ascension" Campaign PF1e

We're assembling a roleplaying group to play Pathfinder First Edition; if anyone is interested, please reply and we will open a dialogue. CAMPAIGN DETAILS - Campaign Name: The Master's Ascension - Starting Module Name: Master of the Desert Nomads - Module Description: The PCs will trek through a harsh desert environment - Starting Level: 5 - Starting Gold: 10,500 RECOMMENDED ROLES - Arcane Spellcaster - Front Line Combatant - Healer - Skill Monkey PCS ALREADY CREATED - Divination Wizard (Arcane Spellcaster) - Slayer (Front Line Combatant) - Cleric (Healer) - (we still need a Skill Monkey) ABOUT CHARACTER CREATION - Characters should spend no more than half their total wealth on any single item. For a balanced approach, PCs that are built after 1st level should spend no more than 25% of their wealth on weapons, 25% on armor and protective devices, 25% on other magic items, 15% on disposable items like potions, scrolls, and wands, and 10% on ordinary gear and coins. Different character types might spend their wealth differently than these percentages suggest; for example, arcane casters might spend very little on weapons but a great deal more on other magic items and disposable items. - Players should work together to make sure most if not all skills are covered; doubling up is okay, and may be helpful. - If you find it in a non-fan made source then it's fine. No restrictions for classes. Obviously you should be good or neutral aligned. Evil characters don't make sense. - The DM has decided to bestow 2 traits as a bonus. You can exchange them for 1 feat instead if you want. You may take a drawback optionally in order to get 1 more trait. So therefore each PC will have between 2 and 5 traits. ABOUT THE GAME - We have 1 DM and 3 players so far. - Three of us live in Bedford and 1 of us lives in Mitchell. - We plan to play in Bedford. - We communicate on Facebook Messenger.

Long-term, Warcraft-inspired homebrew campaign

Hi, everyone!  I (35M) am looking to start a weekly online or offline long-term homebrewed DnD (2014) campaign with three to five players that draws heavily from the Warcraft universe & lore. (No experience with any Warcraft games is required to join if you’re still interested!). I'm planning sessions to be on a weekday evening (specific day TBD based on player availability) in the 6:00-11:00pm EST range.    I value information & transparency, so I’ve written a mini-f*cking-dissertation that includes information about me, the campaign story/themes, what to expect if you join, and what I’d be looking for in players. Hoping to hear from some folks who’d be interested in playing!   About Me: When I’m not working or spending time with family & friends, I’m pursuing any number of hobbies/interests (hockey, hiking, baking, bugging my fiancé, etc.). But one of my biggest loves is fantasy: books, movies, games (including the abovementioned Warcraft franchise), you name it. So, when I was introduced to DnD ~5 years ago by a friend who invited me to join their campaign, I was naturally smitten by pretty much all of it: the system, the lore, the gameplay, etc.   Since then, I’ve been DMing DnD (2014) for 2-3 years. During that time, I’ve DM’d several one shots & short-term campaigns with a group of friends from work & other areas of life. Unfortunately, everyone in the group has moved or has had life sh*t happen that limits their playing, and so I’ve turned to Reddit to hopefully connect with some other folks who have a similar interest in DnD.   With that out of the way, here’s a little bit about the campaign I have in mind.   Campaign Overview: Welcome to Azeroth, a high fantasy setting with dark, epic, & steampunk fantasy flavorings.   Azeroth is a world of abundance, rich with peoples, materials, & magics. (Azeroth also happens to have the soul of a nascent deity slumbering at its core, but that’s a story for another day). Consequently, Azeroth has had the tremendous misfortune of encountering unremitting threats as local, global, & cosmic forces vie for control – or destruction – of its resources. Just in the last few years, Azeroth has seen:   A crime syndicate seize control of the Kingdom of Stormwind’s fertile farmlands to force restitution for an old injustice. A faction of orc refugees invade the Ashenvale Forest, ancestral homeland of the night elves, to claim its resources to construct a homeland for themselves.   A dark titan unleash his legion of demonic followers across the planet to extinguish all life & hope.   Needless to say, the many peoples of Azeroth are traumatized. (I mean, how much of the above can any person really take?). But those peoples are also resilient. They’re strong. And they’re hopeful. Which is good, because – surprise! – another threat has surfaced that seeks destruction & domination.   Enter: The Lich King. The Prince of Darkness. The Lord of the Undead. Two decades ago, this embodiment of death arose from his throne on the frozen continent of Northrend and waged a vindictive war on the living in Azeroth. His plague of undeath transformed droves into creatures from nightmares. Zombies crowded the streets of Lordaeron City. Ghouls terrorized the farmfolk of the Hillsbrad Foothills. And the Lich King’s death knights, risen champions wielding necromantic magics, led his army across half of a continent, leaving naught but terror & sorrow in their wake.   The peoples of Azeroth rose to challenge this terrible enemy. New alliances were forged. New champions emerged. And, in the end, they drove the Lich King and the bulk of his forces back to the icy hell from which they came. The Lich King was not defeated, but Azeroth’s peoples had won a great victory.   And so, many of these peoples returned to their families, their work, their hopes, & their squabbles, eager to forget the memories of destruction that plagued their days & dreams. They turned their attention toward healing their wounds and preparing for the new threats that would inevitably materialize – or the old ones that would resurface. But others struggled to return. Others struggled to forget. Because they awoke each morning to their fractured kingdoms, their ravaged homes, and the remnants of the undead army that ravaged their lands. These others knew that their great victory was fleeting, that they would one day face anew the wrath of the Lich King. And they vowed to be ready.   It’s a good thing they did. Because a second plague has arrived. A second invasion has come. And these events have ignited the lingering fury of the survivors of that first war, who are taking up arms and preparing to take the fight to the Lich King’s unholy realm.   From his frozen throne, the Lich King watches. He waits. He plans. And gazing upon this imminent invasion, he laughs and says, “You seek to bring judgment upon the damned? Good. Come, then, you heroes. Come in all your power and glory! But know that, in the final hour, all will serve the one… true… king.”    Core Themes: good vs evil, hope vs doubt, power vs corruption, justice vs revenge, person vs society, person vs self, betrayal, heroism, etc.     What should you expect? At this point, you may be sitting wherever you are – the couch, your office, the bathtub, I don’t judge – and thinking, “Okay, this setting & story sound pretty f*cking cool. [Or maybe you think it sounds terrible, in which case, life’s too short to keep reading this interminably long write-up, and I’ll wish you the best in finding the table you’re looking for!]. But what will it be like to actually play DnD in this campaign?” Great question! Here’s a little overview of how I typically DM.   Rules: I adhere to rules as written, although I’ll integrate minor homebrewed rule/mechanics systems that I think will be meaningful and enrich the game. I’m also happy to subscribe to the “rule of cool.”   Sandbox? Railroad?: Both! I have an outline of the story and its key elements (e.g., story arcs, BBEGs, locations, NPCs). However, it’s important for players to have agency, and so I’ll also emphasize providing choices & following players’ leads. See “Collaboration” below for more.   Encounters: I try to integrate all aspects of DnD into each campaign for a well-rounded game, including social encounters (e.g., helping out, aiding diplomacy), combat encounters, puzzle/trap encounters, exploration encounters, mystery-solving encounters, etc. This campaign will likely feature social & combat encounters the most, but other types will appear to varying degrees.   Dynamism: I adhere to the belief that encounters & games should be dynamic. Combat should be urgent & exigent. Social interactions should be engaging & meaningful. Mysteries should feel suspenseful, and exploration should involve wonder. I try my best to fulfill these ideals.    Choices Matter: I root for players and want them to win, but I won’t take failure off the table. Travel recklessly in the wilderness, and you might miss your destination. Act like an a** to that NPC, and they may be petty – or seek revenge – at a later date. Search every corner of every room for a desired object, and the dungeon denizens will probably find you. And, of course, death can happen. All choices have repercussions, and I try to structure my games with this axiom in mind.   Roleplaying: Many players love their characters and want to support their development. So, I try to create opportunities for players to do just that. I’ll especially emphasize opportunities for character development via dynamic encounters & conflicts, because it’s often the choices made in those circumstances that facilitate change & growth.   Collaboration: Although I do have an outline of the story & its elements, I value collaboration & player involvement. I’ll encourage opportunities for player choice & agency, and I’ll often invite – and honor – feedback to ensure players are enjoying the game. I’m also welcoming of player ideas for the game and/or story. Maybe a player wants to have a 1-on-1 session to explore a part of their background or undergo some sort of training. Maybe players want to have a session doing town mode, where they craft, carouse, etc. While I won’t guarantee that I’ll accommodate every idea/request, I’m happy to listen & discuss possibilities to support a collaborative experience.   Consistency: Players make time, change schedules, etc. for the game, and it’s important to honor that. I will do my absolute best to be consistent with scheduling, attendance, & communication. I do work a job that occasionally involves unexpected changes or crises, but I’ll do my best to be present, on time, & prepared every single week.   Flavor: Games are supposed to be fun, so I’ll integrate a lot of levity into campaigns I run (e.g., humor, voices, absurd personalities, etc.). However, I’ll balance that levity with gravity in the circumstances that demand it (e.g., instances of loss, betrayal, adversity). Also, a heads up (in case it isn’t clear already): I swear a lot.   Game Details: System: DnD 5E (2014 rules)   Platform: If online, we’ll most likely use a combination of Roll20 and Discord or Zoom. If offline, I figure we can meet publicly (e.g., at a local library or coffee shop) a few times until everyone is comfortable/familiar with each other. After that, I’d be open to discussing options for hosting.   Schedule: A weekday evening (specific day TBD based on availability) & a start time at ~7:00pm EST, although I can be flexible in the 6:00pm-11:00pm EST range. I’d prefer to meet weekly if it’d be possible with everyone’s schedules, although bi-weekly is an option if needed.   Campaign Length: I’m hoping that this could be a long-term campaign. To give an idea based on my initial outline, the campaign could include: a) two overarching, intertwined stories; b) four to five main story arcs; and c) 50+ sessions (and can continue indefinitely).     What I’m looking for: If you’ve made it this far through my mini-dissertation and are still interested in the game outlined above, here are a few of the things that I’m looking for in players.   1) Three to five players age 25+. (Pre-formed groups are a bonus!). Notes: All genders, sexualities, etc. are welcome (LGBTQIA+ friendly). All levels of experience (from veteran to brand new) are welcome. All levels of familiarity with the Warcraft games or universe (from player since Warcraft 1 to never having heard of it before) are welcome.   2) Players who are decent humans. I have NO patience for bigotry or disrespect of any kind (that sh*t isn’t welcome with me or at any table I run or join).   3) Folks who would be interested/invested in the story & game as outlined above.   4) People who are reliable. While I recognize that life can be wildly unpredictable and am happy to accommodate folks when it is, I’m hoping everyone will have the same respect for consistency that I’ll bring.   5) A party with chemistry. Since the goal is for this campaign to be long-term, players are going to be spending a whole lot of time together. Having players with similar game-related interests, playstyles, & priorities will be helpful, as will be players who support each other, show one another respect, and communicate effectively. Also, it’d be optimal if players actually f*cking like each other & want to spend time together. Pre-made groups are therefore welcome & a bonus!     Wrapping Up: Phew! That was a wild amount of information, and I’m impressed by – and grateful for – anyone who was willing to read all of it.   If you’re interested in all of the above and feel like you’d be a good fit, please feel free to DM me directly. In that message, tell me a little bit about yourself:   1) Name/age/other identifying characteristics that you’d like to share   2) Your availability for sessions (e.g., days, times)   3) Your experience with TTRPGs (DnD specifically) and your playstyle (Note: new players are welcome!).   4) A little bit about what you look for in a DnD game.   5) A little bit about what you look for in other DnD players.   6) Any questions that you have for me!   I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Old school dungeon adventure

I would like to introduce you an old school way of playing D&D. System is a modern take on early edition of D&D. It is rules light, so it is simple to run and emphasize is on role play and less about dice and numbers.  Idea is to do dungeon crawl adventure which can expand to multuple sessions or even quests. I would start with a session-0 where I would explain the game a bit more. Introduce ourselves. Have a discussion on our expectations from gaming. And in the end build or introduce characters. What I am hoping my game would provide is: immersion, player choices, risk-reward and funny moments. In vein of old-school games, I am also wanting to reward player creativity on planning, etc. The rules are free (PDF): https://whiteboxgame.blogspot.com/

Specularum (BECMI)

I have openings in my BECMI Campaign, Saturdays at 4pm EST on Roll20, with Discord for voice. We use the Rules Cyclopedia for reference (with a little homebrew), and roll stats down the line in game. Characters start at 3rd Level, demi-humans at 2nd. - Beneath the dimming boughs of the Dymrak, the weary company moved with haste. They had scarcely escaped the cavern—its reeking tunnels alive with rats and goblins, and the thunderous wrath of a lumbering ogre—when misfortune struck anew. One among them now lay senseless, stricken by a venom that burned through his blood like winter’s cold fire. They bore him as gently as haste allowed, yet his silence weighed upon them more heavily than any burden. Yet the company hastened on, for behind them lay darkness and peril, and before them only a slender thread of hope. Suskiskyn was still many leagues distant, but there dwelt an elder woman whose knowledge of healing lore was said to be deep as old roots. To reach her in time was their one chance to draw the poison’s fangs from their companion’s failing heart. And there, too, awaited the chieftain Pyotyr, to whom they had questions about the fabled place of Zitaqa, known only in stories parents told their children. Whether they would reach Suskiskyn before the venom claimed its prey, none could say. The Dymrak is slow to yield passage, and many have found their fate woven into its roots. So they pressed forward beneath the darkling canopy, hoping that dawn’s light would find them beyond the forest’s grasp, and not swallowed by it forever.

Quest for Blackrazor (Old School Essentials)

I have openings for my Sunday Old School Essentials campaign, every Sunday 1-4pm EST on Roll20, with discord for voice. We use advanced fantasy rules, and characters start at 5th level. -The company moved northeast through the parched, wind-scoured ridges of the Abbor-Alz. Dust rose in thin, ghostlike coils around their boots, as though the land sought to clutch at them, warning them back from whatever doom lay ahead. Yet they pressed on, for Pontyrel—the weary trading city crouched on the far edge of the hills—was their only hope. There  they might secure mounts swift enough to bear them to Greyhawk City before time abandoned them completely. For in Greyhawk’s arcane vaults lay the scrolls they needed—the ancient incantations of flesh restored from stone. Without them, their companions, caught unawares by the basilisk’s merciless gaze in the dungeon’s stygian dark, would remain forever trapped between life and oblivion. Would they return in time to reclaim their friends from petrified fate?

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers RP

Have had the thought of trying to run a MMPR campaign with pretty much 5e mechanics for awhile now, and think I'm ready to finally give it a shot! I've never ran a campaign or been a DM before, and wholely new territory with it being centered around Power Rangers, so bare in mind that things may feel janky or uneven until I get the hang of it. Will be built on the foundation of MMPR but will deviate here and there and try to make it feel more loose and the players have a bit of control on how things go. There will be camp because its Power Rangers, it has to be a bit campy, but can lean into more "mature" as the campaign goes and how the players interact with everything. Looking for 5-6 players to play the "teenagers with attitude", create your high school student, and then let the game take us from there!  If this sounds like something you want to give a shot, shoot me a DM with your discord info and I'll reach out with further info! It's Morphin Time!

[Online][5e 2014][Homebrew][EST][Sunday 6pm–9pm]

[5e 2014][Sunday 6pm–9pm] Return to the Known World Hello! I’m a Dungeon Master focused on running a challenging, memorable game. I’m not interested in politics or personal worldviews at the table, just good players who want a great experience together. If that works for you, read on. ________________________________________ RETURN TO THE KNOWN WORLD There is a song playing in your head. “Butterfly in the sky, I can fly twice as high…” You don’t know where it’s from. Something about a rainbow. Rainbows are nice. Butterflies too. That thought feels… comforting. “Hey! The merch is waking up.” A rough voice. Alarmed. Angry. “Hells,” another voice whines. “I told you that Rapture Weed was looking wilted.” “Well whose idea was it to save two silvers buying from your new ‘friend’ instead of our usual source?” the first snaps. “Doesn’t matter now. Grab a shovel and start bashing heads in. They never buy the heads anyway.” A pause. “Well… that one does,” the second mutters. “Don’t talk about him. Don’t think about him. He reads minds. Move.” Footsteps scatter. You force one gummy eyelid open. An orange face swims into view. Hobgoblin. You don’t remember why, but a hobgoblin this close is very bad news. You try to move. “Oh no you’re not going anywhere.” Old instincts spark. Danger. React. All around you, other figures in rags stir. Groaning. Waking. So are you. ________________________________________ ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN Welcome to a grim reimagining of The Known World (Mystara), the classic D&D setting of the 1980s and 90s. This is a world where: • Clerics burn wizards • Elves and dwarves stand ready to exterminate one another • Ancient grudges matter more than modern convenience This is classic fantasy, stripped of safety rails. ________________________________________ BEFORE YOU SIGN UP — READ CAREFULLY You are not the hero of this story. You might not even be remembered. You may die before leaving the first room. Or worse. Historically, only about 5% of starting characters survive to the end. When one falls, a new “associate by circumstance” arrives. Some call them friends. Others call them meat shields. This is a long-term campaign, typically just under two years. If you want: • Power fantasies • Guaranteed plot armor • Neatly scripted heroic arcs This is not your table. If you want: • Tension and consequence • Dark humor • Survival against impossible odds • Stories you’ll still be telling years later Pull yourself up off the stone floor. The hobgoblin is waiting. ________________________________________ SESSION DETAILS • System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e (Homebrew), modified ruleset (Not the 2024/5.2 update, simply never incorporated it) • Schedule: 3 out of 4 Sundays, 6:00–9:00 PM Eastern • Platform: Foundry VTT • Voice/Text: Discord • Character Rules: 5e Expert Classes https://www.dmsguild.com/en/product/373925/5e-expert-classes (You do not need to buy anything, all materials are provided in Foundry) ________________________________________ HOW TO APPLY Send me a message with: 1. Your TTRPG experience (new players welcome) 2. What you enjoy most in a game like this 3. Your availability and reliability for long-term play If you’ve read this far and are still interested, you’re probably the kind of player I want. Happy adventuring. The Immortals are watching… though they don’t know you exist.

Pirate DnD

Hi everybody! I'm a very new DM looking to start a long-term campaign of my own. I've ran a campaign before with a couple of buddies but it didn't work out. I have been nervous about being an actual DM, but I've decided to take the leap! A little about me: I'm a 20 year old college student from the Midwest. I'm studying Supply Chain & Operations Management with a minor in Economics. I am a member of the school's football team and a member of a fraternity here on campus. In my free time I enjoy working out, cooking, hanging with friends, reading manga, and writing stories of my own. About the campaign: DnD 5e. Takes place in a completely homebrew world. I will have lots of homebrew things from monsters to items! I am very cool with homebrew classes as long as I approve them first! The area the campaign will be starting in is it's version of the Caribbean. There will be a centralized plot but many side quests and opportunity for character development. Every character will be pivotal to the campaign, with their background being taken into account by me. I am not very good at voices and I don't really know my DM style as of now but I can promise I will bring my best every week! About the player characters: Anything really goes besides evil alignment! I would prefer for humans to be the race as that's what most of the world is but I won't complain if you don't want to be one! Session info: Voice chat will be over discord and out VTT will be Roll20. Sessions will range from an hour to two hours depending on progress and everyone's availability that week. First session plot: After you are captured by a local lord you awaken in a prison cell. Longing to return to the high sees you must find a way out! About my hopeful group: I am looking for people that can be committed, engaged, interested in the story, looking for a long term group as I have a lot of ideas, not turned off by AI (won't use a lot just some art here or there if I can't find anything else), not offended easily, and can bear with me as we learn together! Experience doesn't matter, I would encourage anyone interested that is nervous to join a group to fill out my questionnaire! Thank you for reading my yap sesh of a post! Below is the questionnaire! I will most likely be getting back to people by Saturday the 27th! Questionnaire: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeBlZQzxCaFhkoYQkTHqu3WChigOSkJcYgiNxi_oJRR7Rly8g/viewform

Unconventional party looking for DM

Heyo, we're a group of 3-5 players with rather unconventional characters hoping to find a DM willing to let us play in their world. We're available Saturdays and Sundays are experienced DnD players who we already know get along. What we're looking for in a campaign: Generally we're hoping for a classic dnd fantasy setting similar to the forgotten realms/faerun, with ideally a good mix of combat, rp, and exploration. We don't necessarily need a strong story, but won't complain about one either! Alright on to the "unconventional" part, our characters: 1. A straight up sentient dinosaur. The character comes with a thought out backstory as to why they've gained sentience, why they're underpowered for a dinosaur, and is very light on the homebrew being mostly flavor. 2. A sentient skeleton that for the most part just wants to help people, but is inhibited by the fact that well, they're a skeleton and people fear them 3. I have less information on this one but a warforged or robot of some kind that I believe accidentally gained sentience. the other two I have no information on. Lastly, if you're still reading, a disclaimer: Most of us are transgender, so please look us over if that's a problem to you.

IMPERIUM MALEDICTUM group looking for a new player

Hi, I am currently running an Imperium Maledictum campaign for a group of Infractionists. The characters have found themselves—by choice, fate, or ill fortune—outside the usual societal structures of the hive, trying to get by while fulfilling the not-always-easy requests of their patron. The overall tone is close to the book: grim, gritty, perilous, and low-level. Still, the game isn’t meant to be a character graveyard. There is room for non-combat characters, but everyone should have at least something they can do in a fight, even if it’s just firing off the occasional laspistol salvo with a desperate prayer to the Emperor. So far, the group has driven a small ring of drug dealers off the local market—so that the dealer who contacted their patron can take over the turf. They’ve rescued a helpless child from a gang planning to use him to blackmail his mother—so their patron can blackmail the mother herself. And they had the task to reunite a wife with her missing husband, only to discover he’d been stealing everything from her; she still wanted him back to prove his death and claim the inheritance. We play Wednesdays from 19:00 to 22:00 CET every week. Interested? Drop me a message :)

Need 1-2 players for Star Wars Homebrew Campaign

Hi I'm Duv (20yrs old) and I'm semi-new to DMing. Me and my two friends have started a campaign but would like more people to join, to make it more fun and make new friends. We use Xbox party to chat, and Roll20 to play DND, and use SW5e for player sheets. We try to play once a week, either Friday or Saturday, Starting 10pm UK time, lasting 2-3hrs per session. My friends PCs: Kyle-> Calibus Skydiver (Human Consular) Mikel-> Jawry (Karkarodon Sentinel) Our conversations can become quite inappropriate, including NSFW content, but other than that we play for fun!

Sandbox or Carrion Crown game

Looking for a GM and Players for a Weekly/bi-Weekly pathfinder 1e game. Looked through adventure paths and the one that looked the most fitting was Carrion Crown. The two confirmed party members are myself and someone who I don't think has ever played. The person who has never played said that he's interested in playing a Dhampir Paladin of Sarenrae. Otherwise we have someone interested in playing a Drake Rider Cavalier and another person who's never played pathfinder. I myself am looking to play an Ogre Warpriest (I can explain more in dms). Generally the tables I play at use 25 point buy so that's most of what me and the Drake Rider are familiar with. Additionally no table I've played at has used crit confirm. Outside of that, we are down to use either a pre-written adventure path or a sandbox game, so long as it's set in Golarion. If you have any questions feel free to reach out. Cheers!

Curse of Strahd [Sunday 12- 4 pm][21+]

Greetings, brave souls. My name is Kapp, and I’ll be your Dungeon Master as we step together into the land of Barovia — a place of shadow, tragedy, and horror, ruled over by an ancient darkness that does not release its prey easily. This is not a casual romp through the Forgotten Realms. This is Curse of Strahd, one of the most infamous and immersive adventures ever written for Dungeons & Dragons. I run a carefully reimagined version of the module using the Dragnacarta and MandyMod rewrites, which expand the story, deepen the horror, and make every choice and consequence matter. Expect heavy roleplay, moral dilemmas, hard fights, and a story that will linger long after each session ends. This campaign is serious, roleplay-focused, and long-term. If you cannot commit to 4-hour sessions every Sunday or to a game lasting up to two years, I ask that you do not step into the mists. Barovia reshapes those who enter—it is not kind to those who drift away. My goal is simple: to forge a tight-knit party of players who will journey together not just as characters, but as friends. I want a table that laughs, suffers, schemes, survives, and grows together—one that embraces both the terror and the beauty of this world. 🕯️ The Game Setup Sessions: Sundays, 4-hour blocks (long-term, potentially 1–2 years) Voice Chat: Discord (required) VTT: FoundryVTT (browser-based, no installation needed) Character Sheets: D&D Beyond (integrated into Foundry) Browser: Any Chromium-based browser will do (Opera GX recommended for best performance) This is a serious, immersive campaign. The tone is gothic horror, but that doesn’t mean it’s all doom and gloom — there will be laughter, camaraderie, and hope in the darkness. But make no mistake: Barovia is a land of consequences. Death is possible. Despair is real. And the choices you make will shape the story. 🧰 Player Requirements We are seeking players who can: Commit reliably to weekly sessions Respect fellow players (and their characters) Bring a clear, working microphone and stable internet connection Engage in roleplay-heavy sessions — this is a game about story as much as dice Balance seriousness with good humor and flexibility Dive into the horror and drama while remembering this is a collaborative story, not a solo spotlight 📝 How to Apply To be considered, please send me a message including the following: What name we should call you at the table Your Discord username A brief overview of your D&D experience (especially with Curse of Strahd) Which slot you’d like to apply for — Original Character, Existing Character, or if you’re open to either Why you think you’d be a good fit for this table ⚠️ Applications missing this information will not be considered. 🌫️ Closing Words The land of Barovia is not kind. It is a place that tests its heroes — tearing at their resolve, their bonds, and sometimes even their very souls. But it is also a story of resilience, of the small light that flickers even in the deepest night, and of those brave enough to walk into the dark when others would turn away. So I ask you: Do you hear the howling wolves in the distance? Do you see the mists curling at the edge of your vision? Do you feel the pull of fate, dragging you toward Ravenloft’s gates? If so, perhaps this is where your story continues. The Mists are calling. Will you answer? – Kapp, Dungeon Master

6 Players LF Runeterra DM!

Hey there! My friend group and I are looking to play in a campaign set in the world of Runeterra / League of Legends. We're on the look for any DM that could run within this setting, be it an experienced or new-coming DM. We're only requiring that you be an adult, because we're all within our 20s! To clarify this requirement, we have no interest in NSFW content at the table, just classic adventuring, dungeon delving and roleplaying. Our group has history playing together, with myself being the regular DM! We're primarily used to FoundryVTT, but open to learn other means to play the games through as well. We've been playing together for about four years now, with a history of being longtime friends. We're open to anybody that wants to sit down and get immersed into the world. We're drawn character-driven plots, with roleplay opportunities and social encounters. In that same breath, we're just as eager to clear through dungeons and roll mathrocks for a session. Our style isn't making the strongest build for the situation, or the best choices possible to 'win' our game. We're into playing our character's role; having memorable narratives between them and the world spun around us. As for scheduling, we're looking to meet and play on Tuesday nights! Exact timing can be figured out in later conversation. If you're interested, feel free to message me directly here, or add me on Discord. Thanks for reading this post! Have a good day/night.

One Threat, that even the strict monarchy that rules these rich lands could not even dream of ever stopping. One threat that remains inevitable. A Threat that has been looming on the horizon. A threat that has no equal. A threat so vile, to even know about it is to be doomed by it. A death sentence to all willing to learn about the isle. What You were before the isle had made you into the person you are, but that does not matter now. All contacts, Family, Heirlooms and Wealth. Here, You are Nothing more than a Stranger. Nothing more than a mere Inheritor, A simple Minded beast, A Servant of fate down on his luck and a Terribly unfortunate artist. If it strikes your Fancy. If you have more Questions. jesterlover on discord. I look forward to seeing your feedback and meeting you!

Shadowdark Megadungeon Game

Hello all! I've been wanting to run a moderate-length game of Shadowdark with a dedicated group. I'm looking for a moderate-length campaign about 12 sessions (3 months) and to determine from there if the group wants to continue or move onto something else. The game would be ran on discord and roll20. Sessions would run 2 fast and furious hours. I'm looking for players who can commit their full attention to the game in a short(ish) window. Shadowdark plays fast relative to similar fantasy TTRPGs. For those unfamiliar with Shadowdark, it harkens back to D&D 2nd edition. The rules are simpler and it is very easy to pick up (for free too!) - if you've played 5e, it's not an exaggeration to say you can learn this game in 15 minutes, even playing the wizard class. The game leans more into themes of survival horror and resource management than the heroic fantasy D&D 5e evokes - but not a boring kind! It's very streamlined in how it works. The vision I have for my game is a mega-dungeon set-up with a homebase to return to, with themes of eldritch horror and some political intrigue. The main touchstone media for this story is the anime and manga Made in Abyss. This is the main caveat about my games: *Christian values - content is kept PG-13 and violence is not gratuitous, sexual content is non-existent without compelling RP reasons well communicated to the GM, and the Christian faith and traditional beliefs are respected - players can be non-Christian. If that caveat is no issue to you, it could be a good table for you. If that caveat is attractive to you, it might be a great table for you. I'll mostly be playing by the book - which is available for free (the quick start edition, anyway) at the Arcane Library's website. With the short play time, I'll play the variant rule to have 30 minute torch-timers (probably the defining mechanic of the game). I'll use maps on the VTT and use limited lighting in such a manner that makes players have to map out the dungeon themselves. I've played a few short games like this and it was really immersive! If you're interested, please message me the following information: Your name: Your age: A bit about you: Why you're interested in the game: Tabletop RPG experience: A character concept you like that you've played or like to play: In transparency, I'll share my answers to the questions above: My name is Josh. I'm 33. I work in education and am married with four children. I'm a pretty typical nerd living in Midwestern USA - I like video games, anime, Star Wars - for my kids age, basically everyone is obsessed with Pokemon right now. Some of my favorite games are the Resident Evil franchise, anything really made by FromSoft these days, and The Legend of Zelda. I *really* like Resident Evil especially for reasons I don't fully grasp, but it bleeds into my TTRPG life, to where I like survival horror games the most and feel I run them the best. I want to run this game because of the survival horror elements coming more natural to Shadowdark than D&D 5th edition. I like the fast and furious play of it. It plays so smoothly and encourages more creativity because your character sheet is so barebones, you think beyond the sheet more. I want to run a game with the exploration of, say, Dark Souls, with the survival horror of Resident Evil and with story inspirations from Made in Abyss. I'm coming on 8 years of regular, weekly GMing - mostly 5th edition D&D, but I've branched out to other games the last few years. In lieu of a character concept, I'll share the positive feedback I've gotten from players: tense but rewarding scenarios, strong at integrating backstories, great horror original settings... I think the only main criticism I've received is having been, on occasion, impatient with players taking very long with their turns. Shadowdark makes it easy not to have that temptation, but I'm very amenable to feedback if someone were to tell me something I did or said rubbed them the wrong way. I'm sure I missed something in this post, but I think that's all the essential details... Please reach out if you're interested. Happy gaming!

semi-modern campaign set in a massive city

Hiya!! I’m looking to run a 5e game set in (but not necessarily confined to!) the sprawling metropolis of Hardraw. The setting is similar to New York In the 1930s, and slightly (HEAVILY) inspired by the Mtg plane of ravnica. The plot sees YOU(r character) Arrested and offered an out by a useless police force, investigating a series of ritual-like disappearances in the many areas of the city Were you a petty thief? A mobster? Bank robber? Or maybe even innocent? Who knows! Not me! (I’d have players already if I did) and what will you discover on your journey? A cult? Murderer? Or maybe you’re just gonna live in the woods, again, who knows! I have taken a little break since my last game so please keep that in mind! But my name is Abigail, I’m a minor, Scottish, a trans woman and have ran enough games in the past to call myself a dm. My discord is Youkaiofthedusk, please message me there! For you know, character creation and stuff

Tales from Kaladia

Looking for (ideally) a trio of players for a campaign inspired by The Legend of Zelda, Tales from Earthsea, Adventure Time and Studio Ghibli. Set in the world of Kaladia, a land once littered with magi-tech and unity that fell before Grimvar the Ruinshaper! Now existing in a High Fantasy post-apocalypse, filled with dungeons and relics of an 80's inspired magelight past, the people of Kaladia are still trying to rebuild a millenia later. "One thousand years ago, the Age of Magelight came to a ruinous end in the land of Kaladia. Overnight, the grand arcane utopias fell to the power of Grimvar the Ruinshaper and were replaced with hollow ruins and shadow in a war known as The Sundering. It took the might of three powerful adventurers, The Last Companions, to put a final violent end to The Ruinshaper's reign of tyranny. In the ages since, society has slowly begun to rebuild... though any attempts at civilization pale in comparison to the ages before The Sundering. The greatest of these fledgling civilizations is the Kingdom of Aldora, built atop the ruined heartlands of Kaladia. It is from there that many new adventurers are born, and it is where a new party of heroes will find their humble beginnings... For a new shadow is rising through the cracks of growing civility, and it hides many sinister secrets!" If you're interested, feel free to fill out the questionnaire! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe-CBN4zjJFq6yxbWbOIuPApI5y3VwTPQzYXlRgYPyC6XFVLA/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=108885602205182437002

Looking for 1 active player

Hi everyone. I'm looking for 1 player to join my campaign. We have a core group of 7 players for the past 7 years, but life hit 5 of them... so they are around to chat or jump in from time to time but unable to fully commit like they used to (for now). I currently have 2 active players who have no lives and can dedicate their time to playing. If you are fun enough, you can also join in the Dragonball and Starwars campaigns later on. This campaign goes to level 20. We are currently at level 4. We do not charge money to play (unless you count your emotional well being and soul as a form of payment). The prerequisites to join are we follows: - Be 18 or older. - Be ACTIVE. If your life is too busy and you can only play a couple of hours a day or twice a week, then this game is not for you. - Read and comprehend. - Ability to ask questions. - Be okay with DnD 2024 rules. - Comfortable using Discord. - Have a Beyond login. I will share my resources with you. - Comfortable using bots in Discord, we can show you, we only use two. - Availability from 8AM to 6PM Monday through Friday Eastern Time (New York). We don't play the entirety of that time every day, but we would like two or three days of game play a week. Again, pbp...so no hard stance on time, but 1 post a day is unacceptable. - Don't be a creep. I have 3 women in my campaign. If you make them uncomfortable with advances in and out of character, then it's an easy kick and ban. You need to be okay with the following not knowing everything, and playing a particular set of species and subclasses in the campaign. You will not have access to standard subclasses. Answer the following questions. They are not a part of the campaign, but give me insights to your personality. For instance, if you are judgemental of the questions or come up with your own conclusions about the campaign based on the questions, it already says a lot about you and your play style. Go be a headache elsewhere. 1. The DM sets up an escort campaign, but it somehow turns into a zombie campaign within a few hours. How do you handle this? 2. Your team just managed to escape the bbeg, but the sub boss caught you and cast a spell to control your mind. You failed the save and you've been ordered to kill your two teammates who are really low on health. The sub boss is nowhere to be seen. What do you do? 3. You find a nice lake to swim in. As you admire the water from the edge, a giant alligator grabs you, pulls you under, and you die. Now what? 4. An evil train is possessed by an undead and you cast a spell to charm the undead creature. The first time you cast it, it succeeded the roll. The second time, it failed the roll, but it isn't charmed. How do you proceed with your GM? 5. You lost a fight. One of the other players tells you to get gud. What do you do? 6. You can never seem to use your wits to charm an NPC. One of the players says you have a skill issue. What do you do? 7. Complete this sentence: actions have ______________

Walk the Line: Between Life & Death

*Please read the entire description before applying to play this game!* Ever wondered how an every day person might survive the beginning of the end? What leads to the world's fall? Who's involved? Why? Well 3-5 players need wonder no more as this game focuses on exactly that! And we're seeking up to 2 more! The gradual decline of society. The intrigue about what's causing it and how different factions begin to form. How natural and man-made disasters happen and how everyday people handle it all. Not to mention the secrets and conspiracies that might get discovered along the way. All of this and more awaits those daring enough to join! *But beware!* You're just an average person who's had your life interrupted by everything going on around you. And in order to survive, or perhaps even try to salvage or save what little you can, it seems that you need to gather up a few friends and work together. But who knows? Maybe you'll somehow manage to save the world! ------- So what will you all do? Will you seek out a cure for the new infection going around that's changing people's brains and bodies? Will you help with the rescue efforts after a natural disaster? Will you join one of the factions and take on quests for them? Maybe you'll stay on the run, trying to keep ahead of everything happening all around you? Or perhaps you're more inclined to hunker down in one location for as long as possible? The choices are ultimately yours (and your group's) to make! Just be careful though, as just one wrong move can have deadly consequences! How long can you survive? *Character deaths can and will occur when you're first starting out! Don't get too attached to your first few characters!* ------- This game is set in a world similar to, but not quite, ours. The content will happen on the continent of New USA starting in late autumn of the modern day. The system and story has no magic or aliens, but mutants, militia, cults, bombs, natural disasters, severe disabilities, EMPs, inebriation, broken bones, death, and most anything that can or has happened in real life can and may well happen in game at some point. RP will hopefully be a major focus of this game as well. Killing your fellow humans will have consequences on both your character and the world around you, so it's not recommended. You're not a playing as a hardened veteran, psychopath, or a serial killer after all, so why would your character be okay with murder? Mention a fruit to prove you've read this very important information. Animals, Mutants, and anything that doesn't resemble a human (anymore) should be fair game though. ------- This game is one entirely of my own creation, complete with custom character sheets and a system that I designed from scratch and have quality tested over the last few years. This game has been going for over 2 years now, though the group you might be joining is only a few weeks old. If you join this game, please be aware that, as with all homebrew games and systems, you might experience some bugs or changes from time to time, especially if the base platform Roll20 has a major update. This game is only for those aged 21 and older as it includes (but doesn't focus on) graphic content, including themes of death, gore, alcohol, drugs, suicide, mental health, and similar. This is a realistic, gritty game focusing on playing as an everyday person as the world slowly falls apart, so if any of these themes are issues for you, or if you're not at least 21 years old, then this game is likely not for you. This game has a focus on realism with regards to prices, story, roleplay, and what's possible to make or buy. However nearly everything else, such as the inventory, healing, and combat systems, are only loosely realistic. Also, you should be able to craft or upgrade nearly everything in this game so long as it makes sense, you spend the time, have the materials, and it follows some form of realistic logic. ------- Some unique key features of this game's system includes... - Play as one of 26 different professions, each with their own special talent and specialized skill-set that can greatly impact how you play. - Your character's age, sex, height, weight, and hobbies all play a factor on your starting core stats. Even choosing to play non-binary has an impact by having no impact! - Inventory is slot/space-based instead of weight based. - Skills improve the more you use them, but can also decay to a point if you don't. - Uses the Metric system for map measurements (squares are usually 1 meter). - Multiple unique status effects that can impact your stats for better or worse. - Find and drive over 20 different vehicles with stats from cars and bikes to planes and drones to boats and jet skis and more! *Plans exist to expand to over 50 vehicles at some point*. - Dismantle your old gear or harvest materials and use what you get to craft or upgrade new and existing gear! - Upgrade your core stats through achievements, both party and personal, gaining a stat point with each achievement. *ie first time fully equipped (personal), first encounter with a new enemy type (personal), first visit to a new location (party), develop a cure for the pandemic! (party), etc* - Mention a vegetable in your application as proof you've read this entire list. - A Focus on Tactical and Stealth gameplay, rather than outright combat. This is done by making all combat encounters brutal, where any unarmored humanoid can be downed with a single critical hit or two solid hits. And if they take a point-blank shotgun or grenade blast, they're almost guaranteed to outright die. ------- If you want a good idea of what your characters will be going through, consider the following films and shows as they are probably the closest to what this game is all about. Revolution, The Silence, The Happening, 2012, Twister, Dante's Peak, or any other natural disaster or World-Actively-Ending film/show that's somewhat realistic or feasible today. Of course, these aren't perfect examples as the game is meant to be paced out over a few years instead of over a few hours, but it should still give a good idea of what to expect. ------- The game is expected to be roughly *50% RP, 25% Combat, and 25% Other* across all sessions once you're comfortable with the system. *Weekly, 4 hour sessions on Wednesdays from 2-6pm EST.* *Voice chat will be in Discord.* *Game will take place in Roll20.* The campaign is planned to last 100 in-game days, with roughly 1-2 in-game days passing every 3-5 sessions, so about 5-10 irl years. The group is currently on Day 20 and has been running since November 2023. The campaign may extend beyond this timeframe depending on the group's actions and interests as well as a hidden, yet revealed feature of the game itself. Finally, I've put well over 2,500 hours over multiple years into creating this game, so if you wish to contribute financially or in some other way, you are more than welcome to, though it is not required. Details for how to do such will be provided upon request. ------- If you're interested in joining this game and have spotted the two application prompts, please visit https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/399999/walk-the-line-between-life-and-death and fill out the New Player Application in the thread at the bottom to potentially become another survivor who Walks the Line Between Life and Death! *I should respond via personal message within 48 hours on Roll20 after an application is submitted.* *Currently looking for 2 more players, ideally ones that are at least familiar with TTRPGs systems other than D&D.* *Did you spot the two application prompts? If not, read through this again before applying to play!*

Group of 4 seeks to tell a nice story

Hi reddit! o/ {cool friendly introductory sentence} **Framework** * We would like to embark on a **long-term campaign** * We are not interested in a paid game * While we're most acquainted with the 5e 2024 D&D rules we are open to 2014 rules and homebrew adjustments! * We can use whichever (free) VTT you're most comfortable with * Most of us turn our cameras on for the game, but that is by no means a requirement! * Our sessions are currently scheduled weekly around noon on Sundays, there is wiggle room about the exact starting time * We will probably not be able to get the full crew together consistently until after the holiday season, so the proper campaign would only launch in January. Right now we're mostly looking to set up interviews and get a feel for each other and a possible game! * To achieve this we'd love to play a trial one-shot before an actual campaign **Our wishes for the game** * Some of us already have finished characters that we would like to adapt into your world * Setting: classic D&D style high fantasy world * Preferably homebrew world & story with rich lore * Main gameplay focus should be **roleplay**, exploration and mystery (with only occasional combat) * While there should be space for serious and impactful moments we're aiming for a light-hearted and fun tone overall !!! For us, the **most important** part of the game is the immersion. This means a lot of **roleplay** and **character moments**. We (as players and as our characters) want a real connection to the world and its inhabitants. The player characters should have a tangible impact on the world, and the main story (if there is such a thing) should be relevant to everyone. **About us** We are an established group of **four players** (open to adding a fifth) of different nationalities in our **mid- to late twenties**, with the levels of TTRPG experience ranging all the way from relatively novice to veteran. Most of these points are negotiable, so if you have a plan that isn't a perfect match but might still be a good enough fit please do still reach out! We'd love to hear your ideas! If you're interested please fill in [this google form](https://forms.gle/Lb1SqM918rkvmi7j7) with your pitch and we will reach out to you!

Rotikgos in Ruin

Welcome to Rotikgos, where magic is scarce, but with the help of the heroes, magic is slowly coming into this world. The land is still rural, with towns and villages just being established, and the whole of Rotikgos has only one major city. Even so, everyone's lives are at risk, as this nation is just beginning to take root. As creatures never seen before, rampage Rotikgos and take down villages. People go missing and mysteriously show up, not remembering what happened. A select few have even been transformed. The people of this land don't believe in the gods and goddesses. Yet Mota, the Goddess of Fate, used her divine powers to give a handful of regular people magical powers and magical items. The first true magical people in this land. Who is attacking this land? Why are these otherworldly creatures here? Why has a Goddess of people who don't believe in the gods helping? Why did a new moon show up out of nowhere two years ago? Only time can tell in the world of Rotikgos. This is a campaign I have been running for 6 months now. We just lost a player and were looking for 1 more to round out the party again, if someone fits well. For players, we have a Wizard, a Barbarian, a Rogue, and a Homebrew called a Soul Binder. We will be playing on Roll20 and talking on Discord. It will be a 2014 ruleset. Characters will start with Advanced Standard Array (17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8), and everyone can choose between taking a feat or ASI when making a character, and at level 4, you get both a feat and an ASI. You will also start with a free common magic item. We are at Lv 5 and go to around 12-14. You can be any official Race. More magical races (non-human) don't naturally come from this world. If you want to play a race like that, we can talk about it more. Homebrew is allowed, just check with me first. This is a biweekly game on Tuesdays 5:30 PST. Also, one main system in this game revolves around the deck of many things. If you do good things in the eyes of the goddess, you get Karma, and you can spend it to pull good cards, but if you pull a card with no Karma, well… good luck. You can also ask the deck a question, and it will show a card with an answer to your question 25% of the time.

Waterdeep: Dragonheist & Beyond!

Greetings to those who have graced our poor, humble post with your attention! Now that you’re here, why don’t you stay awhile and listen? Our group has come to the LFG on bended knee, in need of a Dungeon Master who will take up the torch and banner to lead us to a brighter, richer tomorrow. To that end, I should say that this post is for those Dungeon Masters who would want to curate a more in-depth, narratively enriching and serious campaign to play alongside six other rather enthusiastic, evocative and imaginative role-players! Recently, we’ve taken to the streets of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, however, as sometimes comes to pass, our DM had to take their leave. Now, we’d spent a bit of time trying to plan out our characters, and have even played a few sessions taking us near to the end of Chapter 1 of the module! It would be our hope that we might find another to join us as our Dungeon Master who has the same drive, creative energy and investment as we do! All six of us are rather enthusiastic roleplayers who not only enjoy the social interactions, but also the other varied pillars of D&D! We enjoy challenging combats, tricksy puzzles, just as much as we do the quiet moments between such times where our character can interact with each other and the world at large. I know it’s a lot to ask, frankly, to come into a campaign that has started, but our thought was since we’d only progressed just so far there would be more than enough space for someone to come in and make this module their own! Truthfully, the big goal we have is not only to complete this module, but at its completion move beyond it with either the character we have or some others depending on how the transition into a new phase of the campaign might come. We are most trepidatiously seeking the long-term here, and to that end would hope that this DM might become part of this group as not only a facilitator of the story, but as a fellow player and friend! In terms of broader subjects and concepts we enjoy, I would like to take a moment to list a few: Intrigue, in the guise of political, societal, religious, and/or moral tension, et cetera. Fantasy-style discrimination when and where appropriate. (No real world nonsense, however). Exploration of the moral spectrum in regards to individual characters, settings, and groups. Delving into worldly and distinctly otherworldly matters. Creating relationships with factions within the setting and most deliciously navigating the sometimes conflicting loyalties of the character we travel with! Taking a keen interest in the backstories of our companions, and showcasing the diversity of their relationships as a result. Being a part of building the narrative through the actions of our character in response to the world around them, and thus contributing to the setting and its voice. Now for the more salient details, and while I should note there could be some flexibility here or there, due to having members on two continents we’d much prefer to keep the time we have been able to put aside. Day: Mondays Time: 1:00 P.M. to 5 P.M. CST Edition : 5e ( 2024) If we seem as if we could be a good fit for you, please feel free to reach out to me here and then we can trade information and talk to see if we’re a good fit!

Rise and Fall of Vundergard

Monday 8pm PST is game time. Hey guys im starting a new campaign. In my setting there is a new class called Puppeteer. https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-MTsRv86PJYRjQM8Wk6t **The view is messed up, at the very top of the doc is text only view format click that if you have issues**. Players joinning can play as a puppeteer if they so choose. But are not required to do so, all classes welcomed! My campaign is homebrew and will include many references and inspiration taken from elsewhere. Ill be using a mix of 2014 and 2024 rules as well as some of my own. Somethings i liked in the new rules somethings i didnt. If you have questions about how you may be affected we can chat beore or during game if you need clarification before trying something. This campaign starts with everyone dead. Your souls were collected before the afterlife and reincarnation cycle by a god. This god is also collecting souls from otherworlds because the threat facing this world has been too much for the heroes sent and now hes willing to call upon otherworlder help. The gods offer is such: solve the problem this world faces, and ill return you to your world and old life mere seconds after your death. You'll keep your skills, knowledge, magic and equipment earned in this life. If you are from this world already, i cannot rewind time to send you back, for that could affect the good you've done here. But the rest of my offer still applies to you as well. **Campaign Setting** The world of Azeroth has many regions and continents. The largest region is named Drogunheim. Drogunheim was the site of the first and second god war. After the first war the land was named after the hero who ended the war and he claimed the scarred land and became its first king. However in the recent years the current king has been slain and replaced by Demetri Vundergard who claimed to bring about real change, starting with the name of the capitol and the region. Since he has taken power, people have been going mad, disappearing, or publicly executed for treason, despite a lack of evidence, or trial. Crops are going bad, prices are the highest they've ever been due to taxes and low supplies. Even the animals of the land are acting strangely. The king proclaimed having prior knowledge (a vision from god) of these growing issues, claiming the old king wasnt ready for these undertakings. If poorly managed these will lead to the death of all, and only he has the answers and the plan that will save everyone... Only if they work with him will they see the light of a brighter future. You will join into the campaign 10yrs after Demetri took power. During session 0 the god will go more indepth about about your mission. Also world lore will be more indepth in the discord and as the info is revealed later. Please fill out these questions plz. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSczy3pWdFH0V_nO3ItjU6LMGZha5dNOS7pqPe_DGA53qZ3EHA/viewform?usp=publish-editor

Serpent's Skull Adventure Path

Ahoy there, potential plunderers, and welcome to the sun-baked, snake-infested chaos that is the Serpent's Skull Adventure Path! Forget your standard goblin-slaying or tavern-brawling campaigns. We're kicking things off with a bang—or rather, a shipwreck! That's right, your shiny new characters (who we all know will definitely survive) are about to get tossed overboard and spat onto the shores of a mysterious, uncharted island. Think of it as a tropical vacation... if your itinerary included: Massive, territorial dinosaurs (because who needs peaceful wildlife?). Angry indigenous peoples who don't appreciate clumsy castaways. The lingering, deadly remnants of an ancient, terrifying civilization. And, of course, a lot of snakes. Seriously, if you have ophidiophobia, this is going to be a fun, scream-filled few months. Your ultimate goal? Survival! And maybe, just maybe, figuring out what ancient, world-shaking secret lies hidden beneath the dense jungle canopy. Grab your machetes, check your tetanus shots, and try not to get eaten. The jungle awaits! Please write your introductions for character ideas in here. In this adventure path we will be using milestone leveling, background skills, starting at level 3 (with the appropriate average wealth per character), 2 traits (or 3 with one drawback), 25 point buy, and the Unchained rules. I am looking for ideally mature players who are promptly on time and professional (don't worry, I'll try not to be a stick in the mud haha). Tell me: -What is your experience with Pathfinder 1e? -What is your age, gender (LGBTQ+ ally here), and location (GMT). -What is your character concept? No politics and no bullshit! Cursing allowed XD. We'll be looking at 2-4 hour sessions weekly. Good luck! Update: This was originally posted on Roll20. You can search for the game there if you like. So far we have 3 players. 3 more slots open.

[lgbt+ friendly] [biweekly Fridays] mini series (possible campaign) Mini series (possibly campaign) online  Hello, I’m starting a mini series on my dnd server online. I want to run it biweekly. There’s a possibility if the game goes well, that I may open this up to a campaign. (Or invite the players to play a campaign after this mini series is over) this will be live streamed onto my dnd YouTube channel, face cams/ vtube cams preferred but I will allow no cams if need be. I want to run biweekly fridays, not sure on the time yet. I’m hoping for like later in the evening. I’m est time zone. Thinking start time or possibly (8pm est, 7pm cst, 6pm mst, 5pm pct) here’s the baseline for the mini series: Set in present time 2025. Location unconfirmed (will be in the USA) A group of college students are on campus when a bio-science project goes wrong, forcing the entire university into sudden quarantine behind a massive glass barrier. No one can leave. No one can enter. The outside world is silent except for a promise of a cure that never seems to come. Inside, things start changing — not just in people’s bodies, but in their behavior, values, and sense of reality. Clubs become factions. Dorms become territories. And the question becomes: Are you trying to survive, escape, fix it… or figure out what you’re becoming? You will be starting as human with the option to change races due to situations later on.

Draught of elsh

Drought of Elsh – [Saturdays 3PM, last Saturday of each month] 3–4 players | Starting Level: 1 No race or pantheon restrictions Welcome to Prime Terra, in the ancient country of Elsh—a long-invaded melting pot known as a religious crossroads where all races and gods coexist. But Elsh is in crisis. A brutal civil war rages for the nation’s soul. Elgor, a human paladin, leads the elderly king’s forces. Opposing him is Annar, a tiefling warlock leading a rebellion backed by the hidden crown princess. Your class choice matters, as most factions have taken sides: Annar’s supporters: Sorcerers, Warlocks, Rogues Elgor’s supporters: Clerics, Paladins, Fighters Others try to avoid the conflict: Barbarians of plains and mountains refuse to take part. Wizard Towers (Black North, White South) are strictly neutral. Druids are split—some condemn paladins’ brutality, others fear warlock magic. Bard Colleges in the three major cities act as open safe zones. Artificers are divided, with a new leader urging neutrality. Monks are split between pacifism and siding with Annar. Rangers have vanished entirely; their motives unknown. There are rare exceptions: Elgor himself keeps a powerful Rogue ally at his side. After two years of war, no victor has emerged. Elsh faces drought, hunger, and an unforgiving summer that threatens everyone—soldier and civilian alike. Will your party support Elgor? Side with Annar? Save the nation—or simply try to survive the heat? The choice is yours.

Humanity and the colour out of space

You haven’t seen the sun in over a month now… not since the event… one day every living thing in the city mutated all at the same time. A dome blocks the light, along with phone and radio signals. You are completely cut off. Left to fend for yourself in your new form. The metro tunnels are now a battleground. Toddler sized rats fight against hideously mutated cats that can only be described as goblinoid in appearance… but the metro might be safer than the streets. Monstrous animals prowl the streets in search of prey. It's not all bad, though. The survivors of the event have banded together and turned the abandoned mall into a fortress. A fortress now constantly under attack. Do you have what it takes to survive in a city born anew? Hello! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to read my post. I’m looking for 4-5 players to run a 5e campaign every other sunday at 3:00 pm MST. there will be no humans in this campaign. Along with no clerics and limited patron options for warlocks. The reason for this will be explained in the player doc. Here is the google form link if interested: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffba5mIMidLSDVfxr7Wrm8_rw2yahjmgnI28g32DZVLOkZ5Q/viewform?usp=dialog

[Cyberpunk RED] A Night At The Vampire Rave!

Hello Everyone! Name's Alex, I'm a 25 year old nerd from germany! I'm looking to spin up a Cyberpunk RED crew for a little 2-3 session gig from the Tales of the Red book. This would be the first of nine linked missions, so if the table wants to, we can keep rolling through the whole book!. Time: Fridays, 7:30 PM GMT Length: Around 3 hours per session Discord for voice, Foundry for VTT New players fully welcome!! The Premise: You’re small-time edgerunners hustling for rent money and ramen flavored kibble. Seven girls have vanished from the University District in the last month. A nervous corpo offers the group 2k a head to track down his missing daughter. NCPD is severely understaffed, campus security is a joke, but rumors points to a goth vampire rave in an old symphony hall. You’re nobodies, which makes you perfect for slipping in unnoticed. Pull it off and you get paid good eddies and maybe earn a favor from someone who actually matters. Screw it up and there might just be another screamsheet headline with your faces on it!
