Flickers of magic in places where magic shouldn't exist. People vanishing without explanation, and others appearing who don't belong. A secret organization has spent decades holding the seams together, but the stitches are coming undone. Somewhere in the shadows, a cult works to finish what the cracks started -to pry open the eye of a sleeping god force a truth among all of humanity, including those who never asked for it. You, however, don't know any of this yet. You're just a person, a regular human, living your life, trying to find your place in the world of Earth. But a letter is coming. And once you open it, the life you knew will be over. i'm new to D&D and would like to DM my own campaign, but I have never joined a session. Unless you call joining Old Greg's tavern a session.  I'm looking for anyone that wants to join. It would be best if we had it during the weekend since I'm free all day.  Homebrew Idea:  All players roll a D20, but the DM chooses what happens. Example: The DM says to roll for a Wisdom Saving Throw and the player gets a 11. They have to beat 11, and if they fail they will have very loud, goofy, intrusive thoughts through out the entire session.

A very iconic DND adventure, where the players will get to unravel some secret plots done by Cult of Dragons and stop Queen of Dragons from Awakening. It will be run with some homebrewed changes, as I do believe this being one of the oldest modules in DND 5e, some changes can add more fun, as well as balancing for a lot of the new subclasses, abilities and items both players and DM have at their disposal. We have a group of six players I’m GMing that are halfway through book 3 of Mummy’s Mask AP. we can add one player to this game if Wednesday evenings works better. We play every other Wednesday night from 7-11 pm. We have an Obsidian Portal website set up for this campaign to track all aspects of the campaign (xps, treasure, adventure journal, etc…) and allow for PCs to communicate in character using the message boards there. Wanted: Adventurers to retrieve a missing locket. I have created a campaign, designed to take a group of 4-6 players from level 3 - level 13+ over a period of several months of play. The adventure is set in the Forgotten realms, around the year 1500. It begins in Waterdeep, but has adventures up and down the Sword Coast, and in other regions as well. There are currently four players. The setting is a homebrew eastern fantasy with light scifi elements. it is theater of the mind but I do make some basic maps in roll20 for important combat. Some important things to note This will be a roleplay heavy campaign, combat will be rare, meaningful events. as well as that this is a living breathing world and your actions have consequences. Some of my homebrew rules regarding character creation level 5 Free feat at character creation Stats can be rolled with the standard 4d6 drop one. If you use you may use a modified point buy of 27 points with the minimum being six and the max being sixteen. Bows are re-flavored as guns. May add homebrew guns as we see fit, There are race restrictions; you can play human, elf and any beast/ animal related race. Also any demonic and monstrous race. But no dwarves, , gnomes and halflings, centaurs and fairies The most common races are Teiflings, dragonborn, elves, Beast races and humans When creating your character could you please link your character to a paragon (god) and an organization if possible. When rolling hp if it is lower than the average you can take the average and you can reroll ones. Everyone can speak Common and Hellsong (homebrew language replacing Abyssal and infernal) , the two major languages of Gaia and Syatra Starting money of 300 jade coins All official classes are ok subclasses most should be fine unless very setting specific. I am open to the 2024 class changes and rules but not experienced with them. Some home rules  every +1 in int should give u a skill, language or tool proficiency You can drink a potion as a bonus action to roll for healing or drink as an action to receive max healing. Any sort of dimensional travel can only travel between the opposite dimension. Eg. If you're in Gaia and use a dimensional travel ability/spell you will travel to Syatra and vice versa. Resurrection is incredibly rare and powerful magic. Thus is inaccessible by most. If needed then one must gain the favor of a powerful being capable of such a feat. Rare and expensive materials may be needed for the ritual as well. Meaning, you will have to do a difficult side quest to get a resurrection. The hook: You are mercenaries in the capital city of the holy obsidian empire, Karános. You have been hired  as extra muscle and to help with patrols as the city is dealing with a corrupting song that is seemingly causing people to go mad and fly into a frenzy. Thus causing crime to sky rocket and the Onyx capes are understaffed. I’m looking to attempt running a 2e Dark Sun game as you may have gathered from the title. I’ll be running the pre written adventure “A Little Knowledge where the party starts off in the depths of a slave hold traversing the Athasian desert! A disclaimer about me is that I’m pretty new to dm’ing. And frankly I don’t have much experience with 2e aside from a few online games. And Dark Sun is a setting that most people wouldn’t recommend for beginners. However, everyone’s gotta start somewhere and I have a soft spot for this setting in particular. Character Creation Info - Starting at level 3 (unsure of where we will end, but this will be a long-term game, so likely into the higher levels/15+) - Pretty much all standard D&D/fantasy races, except for warforged (or any other "inorganic" races), are allowed. - Homebrew races/subclasses/backgrounds are allowed, but must be run by me first. - Any race with a higher than average speed (35ft+, like aarakocra, tabaxi, satyr, etc) cannot be a monk. You can be those one of races *or* a monk if you want, but you cannot be the combination of the two (I learned this lesson the hard way with a way too fast aarakocra monk PC in another game lol) - Rolled stat generation - HP can be fixed or rolled (if rolled, reroll 1s) - Password: Sunrise - Multiclassing allowed (your stats do not have to meet multiclass requirements) - Optional class features (from Tasha's) allowed - Milestone leveling - Everyone starts with 1 free Common magic item - Would love to get at least a small backstory document from each player so I can work their story into the game from the beginning. It doesn't have to be super in depth, but I would like at least a bit of deep thought put into the character's origin. If you give me a huge backstory document with lots of juicy details to sink my teeth into, I will be kissing you on the mouth (consensual/platonic). Just be willing to possibly change some details up to fit the world/story ideas I currently have! Homebrew Rules - Everyone starts with one free DM inspiration (free d20 reroll) and more can be earned with creative game play. - Sorcerers can be CON casters (instead of CHA). I will also allow other main class ability changes with some discussion. - Only rule I am taking from the 2024 rule set: Exhaustion (10 levels instead of 6, and subtracting current # of exhaustion levels from all d20 rolls) - Exploding crits (any die rolled to the highest value is rerolled and continually added to total damage until rolled below highest value). Ex: crit on 4d10, you would roll 8d10. If you rolled a 10 on any of those dice, you would keep rolling and adding until you roll that die below a 10. - "Beyond the Limit" spell slots (idk if this idea has an actual name lol). Basically, you can keep using your spell slots, even once you have run out of them, but at the cost of level(s) of exhaustion equal to the spell level of the slot Ex: a 2nd level spell slot recovered this way would give you 2 levels of exhaustion. I am still playtesting this idea, including playing around with the idea of allowing this for non-casters with class/race abilities, but it might change around a bit. - Sanity/Fear checks. Hello!! Calling all players that just enjoy dungeon crawls!!  Have you ever wanted to just join a game and have fun with large dungeon crawls and fighting weird and interesting enemies? Not really into the whole 'There's this huge quest line of things to follow' sort of game?  Just want to experience dungeon crawls and watch your character grow as they dive deeper and deeper into a never-ending dungeon? Well this is for you! I enjoy dungeon crawls, I enjoy monster making, and I enjoy puzzle rooms and traps that don't really link into a larger story.  This is something just for fun and takes place in... you guessed it... a never-ending dungeon. The premise for this is simple - Your characters want to be one of the first to make it to the bottom of the dungeon.  This dungeon has been around for a couple of decades, many adventurers go in but none make it to the bottom, if there even is one. Nobody knows why it appeared, or what the purpose is. But it's there, and the deeper you go, the more dangerous it gets. We will start this game off at level 1 and will hopefully make it to level 20.  There will be opportunity for character growth through roleplay but this is just a never-ending dungeon that gets harder with each floor that you clear. So it is very much a mix of combat and rp. Where did this dungeon come from? Who made it? What's at the bottom? You'll have to find out! This game is text-based with optional VC! I would prefer it be live-text since I plan on using maps and stuff. My timezone is CST but I have a weird schedule and stay up pretty late. The Lorekeeper is responsible for controlling the influence of Fate within the Realms that reside within the Books of Lore within the Archive of Finality. However, recently he has been pushing Fate heavily in favor of the villains.. Recently, he did this with 5 Books of Lore and despite him staying within the parameters of his job, the heroes still rose triumphant.. So the Lore Guardian sent those books to the Annals of Ancients. Rather than take them there, the Lorekeeper took them to the Forbidden Chamber. He then infused the Realms within the maximum possible Fate Skewing far beyond acceptable parameters.. The resulting chaos caused the 5 worlds of FF6, FF7, FF9, FF10, and FFTA (Tactics Advanced) to fuse together and many of the heroes of those worlds were killed in the resulting chaos prior to the worlds fusing together.. 20 Years have passed since this event and survivors from the Heroes have banded together to form a Resistance. Your form is numb, each bone and every muscle laden with the memory of a thousand trials your mind refuses to conjure. There is a heavy thud as the footsteps stop, the voices hush, leaving you alone in the silence for but a moment. You feel yourself lowered to the ground by some unseen hand, and as you feel yourself slump against the ground, you manage a meager tilt of your head in the direction of the sound. The door to your prison stands open. And for the first time, you recognize the soft sound of the labored breathing of several others around you. Another test, perhaps. But as the heavy stone wall sways towards you, beckoning you to muster the strength to rise up and grasp this opportunity… you hear a voice. “Run free, my friends.” Familiarity stirs, though you find yourself unable to put a face or name to the sound as their footsteps trail off. I have some experience, having DM'd a long form game before, but the other 2 are basically new. Looking for Saturdays 6:30PM CST for 3-5 hours. He's always looking for the next big score to stay ahead of his creditors and the powerful & ambitious vampire lord of the White Court, Yakov Pritzker, who seeks to re-enslave his entire family. Isaiah Toomes, The Hunter (Mortalis)     An ex-cop turned dedicated demon hunter, hardened by the betrayal and traumatic death of his infernal-corrupted partner. His mission is now fueled by a zealous, specific prejudice against demons and infernal bloodlines, which he views as a corrupting plague to be purged. He's a workaholic struggling to protect the city while his family life crumbles. Coven, The Spectre (Night)     A merged entity of two spirits: a vengeful dead prophet and a tragically killed student. This unstable detective exists between worlds, investigating supernatural disturbances and fighting to protect the people and places that still tether them to the living. The City Awaits Your character will be integrated into the story from the first session, with established Debts tying you into our web of dangerous relationships. You'll enter a city where major factions—like the political White Court vampires, the ancient Fae, various demonic powers, the infernal Chicago Outfit, the mortal enforcers of The Old Standard, and the secretive holy order of The Covenant of Thornes — are all active players.
