Game Time September 12th (Or at least around then, possibly earlier) Time can be heavily adjusted, but 2PM CST would be preferred What style of game does the group play? I plan on running Curse of Strahd 5e. I have been DMing as my groups forever DM for the last 4 months, and I'd like to run Strahd. It is a Gothic Horror campaign, and is months long, so be prepared for that commitment please! How does your group play? Discord Voice (In Campaign Server) using modded Owlbear VVT (Includes dynamic lighting, scenes, ect) as well as tokens. Strahd is very exploration and roleplay-based, though it is not without combat. I'd say a 30 (Exploration) 50 (Roleplay) 20 (Combat) for the campaign. Number of available spaces. 3-4 Additional Information (Optional) Still a fairly new DM so be patient! I heavily focus on player choice/narrative; if you have a loose end in your backstory, I'll try to see if I can tie it. I also have a personal set of rules and I would like a group that can show up on time weekly. Please do not waste my time, as I am currently getting an education and I can't easily spare it. I'll likely choose the best candidates from this post and play through a pre-written One-shot so I can get a sense of everyone's playstyle. I also ask that you value the story and fun of the game over the mechanics and power playing, as I have dealt with that previously and it is not fun. Newer players are welcome, though I do ask that you have at least 5 DND sessions under your belt. Please fill out the application!

ABOUT: In the town of Rowbury, Pennsylvania, two people were found horrifically murdered ten days apart from each other. Your superiors at CAIN believe this is sign that a sin has infiltrated the town, and have tasked you and your team to find it and neutralize it in whatever method necessary. They are holding off police as much as they can, but you only have hours before they push back. Or, until the situation escalates beyond your control. You are weapons, weapons that must do your task of wiping the stain clean. This game and system are heavily inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, so if you are fans of either or both of these things, you may enjoy this game! We are currently looking for: 1 player for online sessions; 6 players for Play by Post. 🩸Brussels is the capital of Europe. To the mortals, it’s a surreal maze. To the Camarilla, it’s a gilded cage. The year is 2016. Prince Vermeulen has wiped the court floor clean to make room for a fresh generation of neonates. You arrive in the City with a target on your back, drafted into a game you don’t yet understand. Here, your word carries weight, and your loyalty to the Camarilla is your only shield — for now. Beyond the polished marble of Elysium, older factions and darker mysteries are waiting. Every alliance has a price. Every secret is a weapon. Your actions will test your Humanity and shape the City. Your failures will shape your execution. How long will you navigate the corridors of power? Will you rise in the City of Wastrels or vanish from records and memories? Brussels is watching, and Brussels remembers. - Vampire: The Masquerade 5th edition. Mature audience, adults only. - Play by Post starts at 6.99 EUR/month via ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/hiddenson/tiers - Beginners welcome, LGBTQ+ and kink friendly.

No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out. It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already, this is meant to help the group have versatility. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel and City Gangrel, turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. I had to make tiny changes to V20 to make it simpler, faster. Like Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. Also I don't use abilities like Awareness, Larceny, and I kept the damn Linguistics, Dodge as they are needed. That kind of thing. I even have combat rounds with meaningful character range when I gotta be aware of the local terrain/number of villains etc (minatures rules). The Giovanni I replaced with Cappadocians and Lamia, as the Giovanni were megalomaniacs and incompetent besides, plus they don't seem to be at all relevant to any setting (there are ghosts in Chicago note). The Ravnos I replaced as being totally divorced from the rest of the game, they don't have any influence, and seem to exist solely for troublemaking players. So, they got booted in favor of the Salubri, who actually ARE useful from a GM's perspective, they curb the worst excesses of Cainites. Finally, I outright replaced all Setites with Baali, the latter are a much better written, and much more competent version of the Setites' Lovecraftian "I wanna bring demons into the world" schtick.  I noticed that if you played the Sabbat as written, they'd be wiped out entirely by werewolves, human hunters, and the Camarilla long ago. Worse, if they somehow managed to survive, they'd be discovered as vampires by humanity BECAUSE of their silly anti masquerade antics. On top of that, eating one's elders is a bad idea. All the Sabbat had was neonates and super buff elders, nothing in between. That means their stated purpose was a shambles. I changed their purpose to (eliminating the focus on fighting clan founders) dominating humanity, making humans into slaves. The Black Hand has been subsumed into the Sabbat as a whole. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes, so you need to make the character with my help so that you get the most potency possible for what you tell me you want to do). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered yes by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in late 1990, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc. In general you will be making your PC on video chat with me, so that I can make sure you get all the benefits coming to you.  Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. The Dark Fate flaw means that your PC is destined to die by Antedilivuan during the end of the world. That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia.  Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor), Salubri (one healer(an FBI agent), one watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tzimisce who goes Camarilla eventually has huge story potential, and could aid the group extensively via Vicissitude, Koldunism (need a level 3 ritual late in the campaign), and Animalism to hose over werewolves and aid the party vs frenzy. Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, True Brujah, and the healer version of Salubri, all have clan access to Presence, and level 3 of that power requires Appearance being high, so a PC could be quite the entrepreneur among vampires and humans (note that the porn Hollywood, prostitution, and music industry would be lucrative)..... A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). At the moment, the only Discipline nobody has clan access to is Celerity, but there's a lot of clan proprietary powers that nobody has. There is a 5 pt merit that allows you to buy an additional clan discipline, by the way, and in my version of Celerity you need lots of Wits, but nowhere near as much vitae points. If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset. This is a copy of an update I gave to a player that missed a session: Both Michael Payne and Son are dead, and Jay found another body in the basement, this time of a dead boy, a formerly months old vampire. His name was Neon, Damien of the Brujah, one of 2 anarch leaders was caring/teaching Neon, he will have to be told. Neon was chained via manacles to the basement floor in Son's Skokie residence, his throat ripped out and his face gnawed upon. Evidence was found that Son was blackmailing Horatio Ballard into insane and demeaning acts. You could get a major boon from Ballard using this. Ballard apparently has been naughty. Michael accidentally killed son, and Michael is dead thanks to the party knocking him into torpor, and the elders ending him. recall, michael was suicidal, and homicidal plus had a rep for being a thug who used to cause chaos your character just rescued the young couple that son was psychologically torturing, and you shot michael (bashing damage, just reduced him to torpor) as he tried to use ben as a shield

Aquelarre - dark medieval fantasy RPG

Im interested in finding 4-5 players, who would be interested in playing Aquelarre, which is a medieval demonic fantasy role-playing game.  Aquelarre is set in the Iberian Peninsula during the 13th and 14th centuries of the Middle Ages. Players take on the roles of normal humans who walk a fine line between living ordinary and legal lives of drudgery, or using forbidden magic to lift themselves out of squalor. For more information check out the wiki: information about the game I'm new to this game myself and as of yet there is no campaign. But for playtime I'm planning on creating a mini-campaign or just run 2-4 sessions of loosely tied adventures. Ideally sessions would take place on one fixed day during the workweek starting from 18:00 CET. The first session would be character creation as the game offers very unique backgrounds & professions and then also a mini-adventure to familiarise ourselves with the basic rules. If you are interested write to me here or on discord (mekaso).

Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

Hi.  I run a game on Wednesdays. Eastern time zone on Discord that I feel needs one additional player.   It's a young group (20's, 30's) and have been around for a few years.   There are 5 players.  The game itself has the players with corporate security jobs defending against alternate realities/histories.   So, extreme violence but with the occasional HR training module about problemsolving skills. Yes,  the worst of two worlds. Because it's alternate reality fighting alternate realities, the player can be whatever they want, quite literally anything.  GURPS allows the players to create whatever comes to your imagination,  but we'll worry about that later.  The tricky part isn't what we do but how.  The group does try to outdo each other in weirdness.   It's not murderhobo, but a new unprecedented thing.   So, you will have to keep that in mind.   This is not for the humorless or overly moral or easily uncomfortable. Think of this as a means to lead you down a new path,  one where you learn about a you that you have never met but has always known was there or you get your money back,  no questions asked.  Feel free to message me or discord - yeroldpalwill.  Seriously, they're a nice group of people and you'll have fun.   Having a sense of humor & a personality is a huge plus.  Thank for reading this far.  If you're a newbie  don't worry,  I'll help with the character.   Just combine your two favorite movie, literature, or anime genres together.  Also, Wednesdays,  7 PM eastern.

Levels 1–3 | Play-by-Post | 2 Sessions | Gothic Horror | D&D 5.5e The mist rolled in without warning. A manor appeared through the fog — warm light in the windows, smoke from the chimney. It looked like shelter. It looked like safety. It was neither. Count's Manor is the dark, atmospheric introduction to Legends of Barovia — an expanded and enriched version of the legendary Curse of Strahd campaign. In two sessions, you will explore a haunted estate layered with tragedy, uncover the horror lurking inside, and face your first foe. Characters begin at level 1 and will reach level 3 by the end — if they survive. This game is for you if: -You love gothic horror, dark atmosphere, and roleplay-heavy storytelling -You are new to Curse of Strahd or want a fresh entry point -You enjoy collaborative, slow-burn horror -You want to try a game before committing to a full campaign This game is NOT for you if: -You want fast combat and easy victories -Horror, death, and mature themes make you uncomfortable

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
🎲 Looking for Players — Endrazla: The Tower System: D&D 5e Setting: Homebrew / Dark Fantasy / Weird Fantasy Format: Online Looking for: Players who enjoy roleplay, exploration, strange worlds, and actually getting invested in their characters. Endrazla is a massive afterlife known as the Tower. Every floor is its own world, with its own rules, cultures, dangers, and mysteries. The further you climb, the less certain it becomes what the Tower actually is—or what awaits at the top. The campaign mixes Elden Ring-style mystery and atmosphere, Tower of God-style exploration and progression, and classic D&D adventuring, with plenty of room for character-driven moments and absolutely stupid decisions. One of the most important places in the setting is the Tavern of Anxiety, a strange sanctuary between worlds where adventurers, dead gods, monsters, travelers, and other questionable individuals come to drink, argue, make deals, and occasionally save reality. I'm looking for players who want to build characters that actually belong in the world, rather than just showing up to roll dice. Your character doesn't need to be heroic—just interesting. I'm also a very improv-heavy DM. Endrazla is entirely my own setting, so I'm much more interested in creating a good story and rolling with what the players do than stopping the game every five minutes to argue over a rule. The rules are there to help us have fun, not the other way around. If you come up with something cool that makes sense for your character, I'm usually going to find a way to make it work. If you're into: - 🗺️ Exploring bizarre original worlds - ⚔️ D&D combat that actually matters - 🎭 Character-driven roleplay - 🧩 Mysteries and lore - 🍻 Tavern shenanigans - 💀 Dark fantasy without taking itself too seriously - 🤝 A group that wants to actually become a party I'd love to hear from you. I'm especially interested in players who are willing to help build the story alongside the DM rather than expecting a completely pre-written railroad. Welcome to Endrazla. The Tower is waiting.

The clock scrapes against itself, you can't believe you have to stay here for the next 6 hours, and just when the rot of boredom begins to eat your mind. A Blackbird flies through the window and Gives you a quest. -- Based on late 2000s culture, and shitty highschool movies. The world is cruel and you are a child, endure these remaining years of your adolescents while fighting horrors and sealing 'dragons'  within the crust. AMERICA HAS FALLEN. THE WASTES AWAIT. The year is 2024. The world ended in a matter of weeks. First came the undead pouring out of Eastern Europe. Then came Operation PEACE—a brutal, systemic plot by global powers to betray, enslave, and exterminate the world's demi-human population. As the military turned on its own demi-human soldiers, lines folded, and America crumbled. On July 4th, 2023, Washington, D.C. was reduced to rubble. Now, in the zombie-infested marshlands of Atlantasia County, Louisiana, the survivors fight for what's left. Which side will you choose? THE FACTIONS The Peacekeepers: A brutal right-wing military junta claiming to be the true heirs to the U.S. They enforce a regime of hatred, killing or enslaving all demi-humans on sight. The NAA (New American Union): A fragile wartime coalition of rebels, centrists, and anarchists fighting a total war for freedom against the Peacekeepers. Peacekeeper Reformists: A heavily armed splinter group that rejects the bigotry, believing America can only be reborn through the unification of all survivors—by diplomacy or dominion. Aculon: An authoritarian coastal empire that believes the American identity is dead and buried, aiming to build something entirely new. The Raiders: Lawless, selfish bands plundering the wastes. BRUTAL SOULS-LIKE SURVIVAL Actions have permanent consequences here. We feature a high-stakes death mechanic: 1st Death: A freebie. A narrow escape, a heavy scar, and a lesson learned. 2nd Death: PERMADEATH. If you fall again, your character is gone for good. Choose your battles wisely. WHAT WE OFFER Complete Character Freedom: Play as a human survivor or any type of anthro demi-human you can imagine. Fair & Balanced Gameplay: To keep things fair for everyone, demi-human status is purely cosmetic and roleplay-focused—there are no mechanical buffs. Active, Dedicated GMs: Our team is constantly brewing up new enemies, fresh narrative storylines, and custom equipment/loot to discover. Combat to Cozy: Balance brutal zombie survival and political war with deep slice-of-life roleplay. Build up your camp, form bonds, start romances, and find moments of peace amidst the chaos. Text-Based RP & Sessions: A welcoming text-RP community with organized homebrew TTRPG mechanics. MATURE CONTENT WARNING (18+) This is a STRICTLY 18+ SERVER. Because of the dark, gritty nature of the wasteland, our roleplay features heavy, mature themes. This includes violence, gore, dark lore, and erotic subjects/sexual content (ERP). Age-gating/verification may apply upon entry. Interested in surviving the wastes? Jo

Exploring the horrors of war in Falkovnia!

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
G'day g'day! I'm Kregler! You can call me Jasper or Jazza if you really like. I'm 21 and would consider myself a fairly intermediate DM, having DM'd on and off over the past 3 years for short stints- though I have been playing MUCH longer. Just to establish some expectations as to what I'm looking for in players... I'm seeking a group of people who are within my age group. Meaning over 18 and preferably under 30. This will be a fairly average sized group of four players, with a focus on combat and roleplaying in the combat, with a strong focus on the party's dynamic. Just a thing of personal taste- I find AI character art to be VERY jarring and it honestly just breaks my focus, so please don't use it, I'm happy to help you find alternatives. Also, please for the love of the Lord, do not use AI to generate your backstories. Sessions will be hosted at 5:30pm AEST every Saturday, either weekly or fortnightly depending on the general preference. If you're in an American or European timezone, you very well may struggle! Planning on starting a Session 0 on the 22nd of August, with Session 1 on the 5th of September. You will all be starting at Level 3! Anyways... some info on the setting and campaign. Falkovnia is a Ravenloft setting, with a LOT of zombies. Characters will originate from a Faerun that is far more grim to fit the theme. Expect an intense amount of combat with endless hordes of the undead and an exploration of the very human horror of war. As for your characters... The black shadow of War has always hung over you. The hatred upon the faces of foes you've slain, the death-rattles of your family slaughtered in a raid, or the tears you have wrought in shattering families by your own atrocities. Mayhaps you've tried to escape it. Mayhaps you've accepted your lot. Mayhaps you could never live without it. An incredibly lucrative offer in a wartorn land leads your characters to the eternally burning forest of the Château de Levagneux - the sight of a terrible massacre. A noble man from the local Kingdom desperately clutches at the idea his family may yet be found, even if that means sending fodder down the rabbit hole. Something terrible hides in the thick smoke and cinders, none of the locals dare go near, for those who do oft never return. It draws you further in, still. A part of you - more ancient then your spirit or soul - can feel what is beyond there. Its all too familiar. Application link below! https://forms.gle/L9qfa135raMjupbLA

The Adventure: Welcome to Druskenvald, a realm choked by eternal autumn and ruled by forgotten superstitions. The harvest is failing, the woods are hungry, and villagers are whispering to things that hide in the pumpkin patches. You are outsiders drawn into a twisted folklore nightmare. To survive, you must navigate a land where fairy tales are lethal, hags strike bargains for memories, and the very shadows want to devour you. The Pitch: The Crooked Moon is a campaign built around sinister witchcraft, ancient curses, and deep psychological horror. If you want a campaign that feels like The Witch or Sleepy Hollow, where the environment itself is your enemy, look no further. Bring a character who can survive the dark. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmqzxic7m000nl7041x5xckid?ref=cmpe26gha0035ji04azjpab18

The Adventure: Something foul is sweeping across the land, leaving a trail of absolute depravity and terror in its wake. In this campaign, your team of investigators, mercenaries, and survivalists will travel town by town, stepping into completely unique, localized horror scenarios. One week you might be solving a grotesque local curse, and the next you'll be fighting to survive a localized slasher nightmare. Every town has a dark secret, an active threat, and a completely unique flavor of horror to unravel. Can you solve the mysteries and cleanse the region, or will the Midnight Realm swallow you whole? The Pitch: Built from the twisted scenarios of Libris Nocturnum, this is a gritty, episodic grimdark campaign. Expect heavy investigation, thick atmosphere, and unforgiving horror where your wits are just as important as your weapon. The Rule of Cool is always active—bring your best roleplay and sharpest tactics to survive the road. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmr5toq5n00n9js04nt2lzrj9?ref=cmpe26gha0035ji04azjpab18

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Emberfell — Homebrew D&D 5e Campaign (Roll20, Level 3 Start)System: D&D 5e. Platform: Roll20, with a potential switch to Foundry VTT as sessions progress - voice via Discord. Format: Long-term homebrew campaign, multi-arc. Starting Level: 3 Players Needed: Additional 3 to 4 players. Currently have 1. Beginner-Friendly, no 5e experience required - those with experience will be prioritized. Schedule: Sundays, Weekly/bi-weekly - exact 2/3hr slot to be agreed with the group in advance, weekly, between the hours of 3pm and 9pm. The Pitch: Emberfell is a world that broke and never fully recovered - the sun's been dim since a calamity nobody can fully explain, and nobody living remembers it any other way. You'll start as a hired escort for a noble house's cargo, but a theft in a back alley on your first night out is going to pull you into something much bigger: an exiled angel bargaining with demons, a game piece that shouldn't be as powerful as it is, and a child who isn't supposed to still be alive. Tone: Tone is dark, but not grim-dark - morally grey NPC's, Real consequences, some geniune horror beats, but plenty of room for humor & for player-driven stories to unfold at the (virtual) table. Session 0 covers safety tools, such as safe words, topics a player wouldn't want within the campaign & tone expectations before we start. Looking for: Players who actually want to engage with the plot, NPC's & roleplays. Someone who will show up consistently, and is fine with a slower-burn mystery campaign, rather than pure dungeon crawling. New to 5e format is fine, as long as you actually want to roleplay. Drop a comment or DM if interested - Discord is attached. Add me or shoot me a message, and I'll send over some in-game lore so you can get a feel for the world, followed by a character creation guide (races, tone, what fits the setting) to get your character sorted. Once everyone's set, we'll run an online Session 0 as a group - safety tools, expectations, and a chance to actually meet each other before anything's played out. From there, each of you gets a quick one-to-one Session 0.5: a short solo scene built around your character's own backstory, no other players involved. Session 1 is where the party's characters actually meet each other for the first time. Thanks!!

Welcome to ODIN, the Order of Dimensional Intelligence and Neutralization. You are a Judicar, an elite field agent assigned to a special team known as a Vanguard. Your missions will take you across the last surviving planet in the universe, where you will investigate, document, contain, or neutralize dangerous anomalies. How you handle each anomaly is entirely up to you. Study it. Negotiate with it. Contain it. Destroy it. Taste it to see if it has a chocolate flavor. Accidentally make everything worse. ODIN trusts your judgment. Usually. Think the SCP universe meets D&D 5e, with fantasy, science fiction, eldritch horror, firearms, strange investigations, and occasional chaos. ALSO: You have a plant scorpion turtle cat as your companion. So you know the level of weird you can expect. Session Details: Beginner friendly Biweekly on Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern Time Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per session Discord for voice Foundry VTT for maps, combat, and gameplay Approximately 60% roleplay and 40% combat POC and LGBTQ+ friendly English will be used during the game, but banter in other languages is welcome. Players must be 25 or older because of the mature themes. But happy for someone to join who is 21+ so long as they are aware of the themes and ideas. Genres include fantasy, science fiction, horror (eldritch and cosmic - so consider that a warning), comedy Campaign requirements (the boring, but vital stuff): Be friendly, reliable, and invested in the campaign and its story. Respect everyone at the table. Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or privately messaging other players without their permission will not be tolerated. There will be no second chances for serious violations. Campaign features (the fun stuff): You can create almost any kind of character. A vampire elf? A werewolf artificer? A gun-toting raccoon with unresolved emotional problems (essentially Rocket Raccoon). Yes, you can. Just discuss your concept with me first so I can approve it (and it doesn't read like a God/Super Saiyan character). There are guns. Pistols, revolvers, sniper rifles. Plasma gun. Also, gun modifications. Hey, it's the future. Classes and subclasses? Sheeeee. There's a lot of them (Mystic is already taken though).

🎓 Who Are You? You are a student at the **Nocturne Conservatory**, a hidden college for young witches beneath the town of Duskfall. Most students are between **18 and 22 years old**, balancing two very different lives. By day, you attend classes, work part-time jobs, hang out with friends, and try to survive college. By night, you study advanced magic, dangerous rituals, and centuries-old traditions. Whether you were born into the magical community or discovered it later, you're still trying to figure out who you want to become. --- # 🏫 Your Two Worlds ## ☀️ Life Above Ground Outside the Conservatory, Duskfall functions like any other small coastal college town. You might spend your days: - Attending university lectures - Working a part-time job - Meeting friends at cafés - Going to concerts - Pulling all-nighters before exams - Exploring the town - Joining clubs or organizations Most people believe Duskfall is completely ordinary. They're wrong. --- ## 🌙 The Nocturne Conservatory Hidden beneath abandoned salt mines lies one of the oldest magical colleges in existence. Here you'll study subjects like: - Ritual Magic - Arcane Theory - Demonology - Magical History - Wards & Protection - Potion Brewing - Cursecraft - Spirit Studies -Evocation -Divination Your professors expect excellence. Failure can have consequences beyond a failing grade. --- # 🎭 What Is This Campaign About? This is a character-driven supernatural mystery focused on: 🔮 Magic 🕵️ Investigations 🎓 College Life 🤝 Friendships & Rivalries 📖 Hidden History 🩸 Difficult Choices While combat certainly happens, your greatest tools are curiosity, teamwork, and creative problem solving. --- # 🧙 Creating Your Character Think about the person behind the magic. ### What are you studying? Examples include: - Magical Law - Ritual Studies - Alchemy - Spirit Research - Enchantments - Magical Medicine - Ancient Languages --- What's your life like outside class? Do you... - Work at a bookstore? - Play in a local band? - Run the campus radio station? - Captain an intramural team? - Volunteer in town? - Spend every night buried in the library? --- How do you feel about magic? Maybe it's... - Your calling. - Your family tradition. - Just another subject to pass. - A burden. - An obsession. - Something you're still learning to trust. --- Why did you come to the Conservatory? Everyone has their own reason. Maybe you wanted: - Knowledge. - Freedom. - Answers. - Prestige. - Adventure. - A fresh start. --- 💬 Roleplaying Tips Your character is an adult, but adulthood doesn't mean having everything figured out. Lean into uncertainty. Make mistakes. Build friendships. Question authority. Support your classmates. Sometimes the biggest victories happen outside of combat. --- 📖 What Your Character Knows Every student knows: ✅ Magic exists. ✅ The Nocturne Conservatory is one of the oldest magical colleges in the world. ✅ Duskfall has a hidden magical community. ✅ Magical traditions are deeply important. ✅ Strange things occasionally happen around town. Your character does **not** automatically know: ❌ Every magical secret. ❌ Every hidden faction. ❌ The truth behind Duskfall's history. ❌ Why certain traditions exist. Those answers will be discovered throughout the campaign. --- 🌒 Welcome to Duskfall Study hard. Trust carefully. Question everything. Because in Duskfall... **Some secrets have been waiting centuries for someone to uncover them.** Like to application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf784PDqgFyQQcG_tInei2V3mVF9q-hKDGLUMwY23YeFNjbSA/viewform?usp=header

Venture into forgotten temples, abandoned mines, ruined fortresses, and long-lost dungeons, each hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Exploration rewards curiosity, careful planning, and clever thinking, offering magical relics, hidden lore, and unexpected encounters for those willing to stray from the beaten path. 🔍 Mystery and Investigation Not every challenge can be solved with a sword. The people of Phandalin each have stories to tell, motives to hide, and secrets worth uncovering. Observant players who ask questions, connect clues, and investigate the world around them will often discover new opportunities, hidden dangers, and alternative solutions that might otherwise remain unseen. 🎭 Roleplay at Heart This is a character-driven game where your choices matter just as much as your abilities. Meaningful conversations, difficult decisions, and memorable relationships are at the heart of the experience. I encourage players to embrace their characters' personalities, ideals, flaws, and goals, creating moments that feel genuine and rewarding. Those who actively engage with the world and bring their characters to life will find the story responding in kind. ⚔️ Meaningful Combat Every battle serves a purpose within the narrative. Some encounters test your tactical skill, others challenge your resource management, and a few may force difficult moral decisions. Victory isn't always guaranteed, and rushing headlong into danger can carry lasting consequences. Teamwork, creativity, and strategy are often just as valuable as a powerful weapon or spell. 🗺️ Cinematic Presentation The world comes alive through immersive presentation. Official module maps enhanced in Foundry VTT, carefully selected music, atmospheric sound effects, dynamic lighting, and vivid narration work together to create memorable scenes. Whether you're descending into forgotten ruins, standing before a looming fortress, or sharing a quiet conversation in a bustling tavern, every moment is presented with the goal of making you feel like you're living inside the story. 📜 Campaign Listing: If you'd like to read the full campaign details, character creation guidelines, house rules, and reserve your seat, you can find everything here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrdy1gb300gok204lq1k7t7h?ref=cmjkeghcz002oif042ddtkai4 Any questions or interested in joining? The era of mortals is coming to a close. Time, once a flowing and vast fact of life, is being eaten away by a divine stasis known as The Fog. More than half of the planet and its people have been swallowed by it now, leaving a sparse few beacons of light in the ever growing darkness. Our story begins in the 11th month of the year 3046PS, roughly 60 years after the first sightings of The Fog, as one of the final refugee ships from the west dock in the port city of Punto de Partida. Snow falls upon our fated party as they’re engulfed by the anxious city and its people, having only themselves to fend for against a world nearly frozen. You, dear survivor, live while the timer of the end ticks down. What will you do in the final years of mortals? Will you spend them ignoring the inevitable and indulging in what little comforts are left, or will despair halt you even before stasis arrives? Or maybe you have hope of a miracle, be it from the gods or crafted by your own hands. Just how much, I wonder, would you be willing to lose to save the world? [This campaign is set to be a long-term, slowburn story focused on character development and roleplay. Much of its world, people and cultures are open for players to imagine and make their own, making it perfect for players who love world building and crafting intricate backstories. The story will cover many of the expected topics for a pre/mid apocalyptic setting, as well as heavy themes such as classism, genocide, xenophobia and racisim/speciesism. Other sensitive topics may be covered barring any content that players can choose to veto; my goal as a DM is to make an immersive and realistic world while showing utmost respect to my players while doing so. This campaign will be offline only and is planned to be held at a game store in los angeles, and I’m looking to hold it Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights with times between 4pm-9pm.]

Monday – Saturday, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)

Welcome to the lands of terror, traveler. Welcome, to place of shadows and pain. Welcome, to Barovia. This is the place under consistent terror of it's once hero, now — executioner of his own lands and people. In this short adventure we're gonna investigate mystery around unknown house in Daggergort, where starts our adventure. Prepare yourself to heavy rollplay campaingh with great foes and hope within the Mist. Gonna be happy to see you! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I’m a game master with several years of experience. I have about half a dozen campaigns that are either finished or currently in progress. I’ve taken on roles ranging from the majestic tyrant Strad von Zarovich to the noble and cold-blooded Camarilla bloodline member to the ruthless cutthroat of the streets of Duskvol, while at the same time standing by your side as Irina Kolianovna, your gray, or your sniper ally in the House of Raven’s Cross. I have many faces, many names, as you may have realized, but the essence is the same — I adore each of my roles just as much as I adore each of yours. It is in the game, in the combination of my play and yours, that true Greatness will emerge. And believe me, it awaits us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, let me tell about me a few words, dear traveler. As I have just said, I've GM-ing for a few years. Six, to be clear. In my games you can expect a lot of roleplaying, deep lore(Espetially in Curse of Strahd and Old Barovia), breathtaking plot twists and great strory, that we're gonna make together. You can easily count on me in mechanical aspect of game. Be shure, that our VTT gonna be quite automated and I'll give as much immersion, as I possibly can. Platform: Discord+Foundry VTT Price: 20$ Questions? Feel free to send me a DM. I'm always happy to chat about the campaigns, answer questions. If you're looking for a reliable group and a long-term campaign I'd love to hear from you!

This campaign comprises of six operations for new and old Delta Green players that would like to face reality where lovecraftian monstrosities are more down to earth then you would think. You can join for all of them as one ongoing cycle or pick and choose which operations you would like to be part of - check "party notes" below to see which operation is currently played. • Reverberations: Reverb is back in Chicago. Users vanish, leaving wrecked rooms behind. Stop the source of this unnatural threat. • Viscid: A geneticist dies in Seattle. Unnatural "Blue Blood" is spreading. Confront a lethal conspiracy before it’s too late. • Music From a Darkened Room: 18 people died at 1206 Spooner Ave. An agent just joined them. Enter the house that is cold, alive, and hungry. • Extremophilia: A deputy dies of poisoning in Montana. Stop a contagious threat before you become its next vector. • The Star Chamber: Adjudicate a mission in Myanmar. Replay choices to find the truth: did they betray humanity to the Tcho-Tchos? • Observer Effect: A lab looked too deeply into reality. Isolate the staffers before a mindless chaos consumes our existence. Never played Delta Green? Don't worry - game is simple and you will pick up the system as we play! We will kick off with session zero to agree on table rules and expectations. Before joining be aware that this game is for mature players and will involve difficult moral decisions as well as might involve emotional roleplaying about human relations and their slow degradation. It is not a happy game about killing monsters. It is a game about consequences. This is an ongoing campaign. We finished Viscid and are looking for fresh blood to start Music From a Darkened Room.

Looking for players to kick off Tatters for the king campaign for Call of Cthulhu Sign up on Startplaying HERE  Description of the game under link above and in text below. 20$ per session, 7PM +2 GMT Saturdays, biweekly. Founry + Discord. Newbies welcome. --- In 1928, you are contacted by Dr. Highsmith of St. Agnes Asylum. He seeks your help with a troubling case: one of his patients, Alexander Roby. Two years earlier, Roby was committed by his own brother after a horrific incident that left their father and sister dead under mysterious circumstances. Alexander was somehow involved—yet no charges were ever filed. Now, Dr. Highsmith believes Roby is ready to be released. But before that can happen, he needs outside confirmation… and discretion. Questions quickly surface. Why is Roby’s brother so determined to keep him locked away? What truly happened on that fateful night? And what role did Alexander play in it? As you investigate, the truth becomes harder to ignore. What first appears to be a tragic family mystery begins to reveal something far older and far more sinister. Something is watching. You must uncover the truth—even if it costs you your life… or your sanity. Because you have seen the Yellow Sign. And you cannot forget it. THE KING IS COMING. THE KING IS COMING. --- This campaign is a slow-burn psychological horror investigation set in the world of Call of Cthulhu. You will follow a trail of secrets, uncover hidden connections, and confront forces that challenge everything you believe about reality. The story begins in London, where the first mysteries unfold. From there, your investigation will lead you across Britain and deeper into a conspiracy whose true nature must be discovered. Expect: - A strong focus on investigation and uncovering clues - A dark, atmospheric horror experience - Meaningful choices and consequences - A gradual descent from the familiar into the unknown --- You do not need any previous Call of Cthulhu experience to join. New players are welcome. If you enjoy mysteries, psychological horror, and stories where curiosity can be just as dangerous as the monsters you face, this campaign is for you.

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
I’m looking for 2 more players for Reverberations, a Delta Green scenario set in modern-day Chicago: "A Nineties rave drug called Reverb is back on the streets, stronger than ever - and now users and dealers are disappearing." Game details System: Delta Green Scenario: Reverberations Date: Saturday, 8 August 2026 Time: 13:00 EEST / 12:00 CEST / 11:00 BST Format: Online (Discord) Length: The scenario may take 1-2 sessions. If necessary, an additional session will be held at the same time on Sunday. What to expect My games tend to be discussion-heavy. Players spend time comparing theories, examining evidence, deciding what different clues might mean, and discussing what they want to investigate next. I use lots of images, clues, handouts, and in-world documents to make the investigation feel tangible. I try to reward curiosity and creativity: noticing details, following leads, asking questions, and making use of the locations and NPCs. My goal is to make the game as immersive as possible. This is an investigative horror game rather than a combat-focused one, although combat is always an option. The point is not necessarily to discover the "correct" answer, but you should enjoy engaging with the mystery and making decisions as a group. I strongly prefer players who have not previously played or read Reverberations, so that everyone can experience the investigation and its surprises naturally. That said, new and experienced players alike are very welcome, and you do not need to know the Delta Green system at all before playing. Platform and registration This will be an online voice game. Accepted players will receive the voice-chat information, character materials, and other game documents before the session. You can read the event details and request a place through my Delta Green calendar: https://luma.com/deltagreen

(Warning this is a dnd like not dnd) you live in a small town in the country-side. You get "recruited" to a private school you never heard of, your parents agree to send you there sense it's free because of a "scholarship" you definitely deserve. The day before your first day at that school you start seeing a dark figure. Yes this is a spirit summoning game where you battle with different spirits coming from different places. (inspired by persona and Shamman king) Your Character gets a partner Spirit that can be of 3 main spirit types: Shines: spirits made by postive emotions. maybe your character really likes jokes so their spirit is a clown. Shades: spirits made by negative emotions. maybe your character really hates being social so their spirit is scary to scare off others. Object Spirits: spirits made by strong emotions towards objects. Maybe your character really likes a spinning top so their spirit is a spinning top. other Spirit types: Bound Spirits: spirits made by a living things dying but being bound by something such as a goal or a resposability. Mythical Spirits: Spirits made by legends or myths because humans believe they'll real. Game Themes: low fanasty, modern, school live, horror this campaign is still being made and wouldn't be ready for a few months.

Rolicrite "Realms of Chaos"

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
I run a homebrew game set in Exandria. We use Roll20 and Discord (Physical dice encouraged). Will often allow ROC over RAW. SUNDAYS: 11:30AM EST (3-4 player spots available) Continent: Rolicrite (Rohl-uh-kreet)-((Roll A Crit haha)) An ever shifting island continent, of the Shattered Teeth. In the wake of the Gods' fall a century ago, the ancient wards that once concealed the island kingdom of Rolicrite shattered, revealing its shores to the world. For centuries, Rolicrite thrived in isolation, a bastion of untold magic safeguarded by enchantments as old as time. When the barriers between planes were torn asunder and the gods were stripped of their divine might, the island of Rolicrite became a crucible of arcane backlash. Nature itself rebelled. The skies ruptured with fury, birthing an unrelenting tempest that raged for 100 days and 100 nights. Though the initial Hundred Storms faded, the magic of Rolicrite was changed forever. Even now, years later arcane maelstrom storms, remnants of that cataclysmic event return without warning. Towering cyclones of arcane chaos twist across the island, sometimes touching down with devastating effect. Their presence is marked by violent weather, mutating energy fields, and magical surges that cause spells to backfire, mutate, or even rewrite the laws of physics briefly. But the true terror begins once the storm has passed. When the Maelstrom lifts, it leaves behind a dead zone. A scar across the land where the Weave is utterly severed. In these Nullfields, magic simply ceases to exist. Spells fail, enchanted items lie dormant, and even divine miracles fall silent. These zones can last anywhere from a single day to a month, and their shape and size are unpredictable. Creatures caught within a Nullfield at the moment of its creation often find their magical essence drained permanently. Familiars vanish, warlocks lose their patrons’ whispers, and magical creatures may become mundane or even die outright.... Your adventure..... To All Concerned Citizens of Eastgaurd and the surrounding Keeps, It is with great urgency that we inform you of the recent prison break at Shadowspire Penitentiary. The most dangerous criminals, once contained within its walls, now roam free. We implore all residents to remain vigilant, stay indoors after sundown, and report any suspicious activities immediately. The escaped prisoners are armed and highly dangerous. If you encounter any of them, do not engage directly. Instead, alert the nearest guard post or town authority. Your safety is our utmost concern. May the gods watch over us all in these trying times. Sincerely, Eastgaurd Council of Safety TOWN CRIERS WORDS EXTRA! EXTRA! HEED THESE WORDS, CITIZENS!" "Shadowspire Penitentiary — breached! Its black walls shattered in flame and chaos! Dangerous criminals now stalk the roads and rivers! Stay indoors! Lock your doors! Hold your loved ones close!" "Among the escaped: none other than exiled noble Jareth Blackwood, former prison warden turned traitor!" "All able-bodied citizens and bounty hunters are urged to report any sightings to the Warden’s Keep immediately!" The party has spent weeks pursuing Jareth "Shadowblade" Blackwood, the one responsible for the prison break and the current leader of The Cult of the Whispering Veil. Their investigations have carried them across dangerous roads deep into a swamp in search of an ancient temple lost to history. Through recovered journals, interrogations, and hard-earned clues, the party has learned that Jareth intends to perform a powerful ritual during the upcoming Summer Solstice. The ritual's true purpose remains unknown. Jareth has spread his influence and scars wherever he travels. Those he considers useful, capable, or simply unfortunate enough to cross his path are taken. Some willingly, most by force. Once captured, they are fitted with enchanted masks imbued with ancient shadow magic, robbing them of their free will and binding them to the Whispering Veil's cause. What awaits at the temple is still a mystery. Some within the party believe Jareth seeks to summon an ancient entity imprisoned long ago beneath the ruins. Others suspect he plans to sacrifice his followers to ascend beyond mortality himself. Whatever the truth, one thing is clear: The Summer Solstice is fast approaching, and if Jareth is not stopped before the ritual reaches its climax, the consequences may extend far beyond the borders of the swamp.

Rock and stone eh? Pick up your ax and hammer we are going Dungeon delving. The forgotten halls call to us and the lost riches even call is louder! The ancient and forgotten halls of Ku'h Buldar lay dormant for years. It's halls echo of its glory days gone past, remembered only in myth and legend. Until one faithful day a Dwarven prospector stumbled upon the ruined gate of the lost civilization. After that the rest followed, the prospectors, adventurers, settlers and thus the community grew. Guilds were created. Daily ventures became a norm. Gold, riches and some artefacts were retrieved but there were more to be found. You, a young strapping dwarf eager for glory sign up in a guild. Get assigned to a group and begin your fist decent. This game is for the dwarf enthusiast and short king lovers(but not excluding the rest). The setting is going to be a little gritty but still lighthearted at times. Will be using some homebrew rules for items, classes and species. The main species will of course be The dwarf. Gnomes are also allowed. NO TALL FOLK HERE!!!(ofc some exceptions are allowed) The structure of the game will be a kin to a rougelike dungeon delving.  As the great halls are separated in many layers. Each so called run will have a different outcome as slowly the secrets and treasures will be unveiled.  Will be discussing much more details on session zero character creation, the vibes of the setting and much more. Session 0 is free.

Looking for a Curse of Strahd game with a DM who leans heavily into atmosphere, roleplay, and immersion? I’m currently recruiting for multiple weekly Curse of Strahd campaigns and would love to bring some new adventurers into Barovia. I’ve been running D&D 5e online since 2017 and have several years of experience running games through Roll20 specifically. I have Roll20 Pro and make full use of the tools available to create a smoother and more immersive experience for players, including dynamic lighting, API mods, animated maps/effects where appropriate, and organized handouts/journals. I also put a lot of emphasis on presentation and mood. Expect ambient music, combat tracks, creepy soundscapes, and distinct NPC voices to help Barovia feel alive. Curse of Strahd works best when the atmosphere really lands, and I do my best to make every session feel tense, memorable, and cinematic. I'll share my compendium with players, so you’ll have access to official Player’s Handbook classes, subclasses, spells, and features directly through Roll20 for easier character creation and leveling. Whether you’re a veteran player looking for a strong gothic horror campaign or someone newer wanting to experience one of 5e’s most iconic adventures, you’re welcome at the table. Platform: Roll20 Voice: Discord System: D&D 5e Price: $10/session (Session Zero is free) Weekly Game Schedule (EST): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday — 4:00 PM EST

The Last Night: Skindeep Setting Website: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/the-last-night-bald-elf-bard Looking for 1 player for a 10–15 session sci-fi horror story. Welcome to The Last Night, a sci-fi horror TTRPG about fear, hope, dread, regret, victory, revulsion, and relief. The world is dying, and most people have learned to look away. Governments lie, obscure, and distort to keep people in line. Monsters stalk the shadows. Demons wear human suits and spread corruption. You still have a choice. Choose hope or fall to despair. In Skindeep, you and a few unlucky others will find yourselves stranded on an island gone mad. Creatures, mutants, rogue machines, and things that used to be human are hunting you. Some want to kill you. Some want to study you. Some want to see what you are made of, literally. Find allies. Find shelter. Find a way off the island. Reach out if this interests you. Please introduce yourself and tell me why you love RPGs. Game Stats System: The Last Night, a custom PbtA-style sci-fi horror game Format: Online Players Wanted: 1 player. We currently have 3 players and are building a group of 4. Campaign Length: 10–15 sessions Session 0: July 12th (you'll need time to get settled and learn the game) Game Day: Sundays, 11am–3pm Pacific Schedule Note: We may skip some weeks to accommodate player schedules. Tone: Sci-fi horror, survival, investigation, body horror, desperate hope Focus: Character choices, exploration, danger, moral pressure, and cinematic horror Experience: Experienced roleplayers preferred. The Last Night may be too much for brand-new players, but new to PbtA is completely fine. The GM will teach you everything. Table Setup We use Foundry VTT for maps, scenes, tokens, and gameplay support. Maps are made with love in Inkarnate, and voice is handled through Discord. The Last Night also has a dedicated setting website with rules and lore, plus a companion app for character creation and in-game tracking. I use curated music playlists through Discord to build mood and atmosphere. Visuals in-game only are supported with AI-art for creatures and assets that are unique to The Last Night. Other visuals are produced with Inkarante and Heroforge. If some use of AI-art is a deal break, no need to reach out :) What I'm Looking For I'm looking for a player who enjoys horror, atmosphere, character choices, and tense survival stories. You do not need to know the setting ahead of time. The game is built so you can discover the world through play. Please make a character who wants to survive, can work with others, and still has some reason to care. Content Notes This game may include body horror, monsters, mutation, violence, paranoia, corrupt systems, unethical experiments, and frightening situations. The goal is horror and tension, not misery for its own sake. Characters can suffer, struggle, and make terrible choices, but hope matters in The Last Night.

Howdy, partner! There’s one empty saddle at our campfire, and we’re lookin’ for a brave soul to ride into the strange and haunted frontier with us. If you’ve got the grit to stare into the unknown without immediately skedaddlin’, then hitch your horse and keep on readin’. System: Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition Setting: Down Darker Trails (Wild West) Platform: Owlbear Rodeo + Discord Voice Time: Sundays at 6:00 PM CDT Age Requirement: 18+ What to Expect: This is an Old West meets Cosmic Horror campaign using Down Darker Trails. Expect dusty frontier towns, lonely trails, forgotten mines, strange disappearances, and eldritch mysteries. Roleplay, investigation, mystery-solving, and character interaction take center stage, while combat is dangerous enough that sometimes the smartest thing you can do is beat feet. The first session will be a dedicated Session 0. We’ll spend the evening: - Creating investigators together. - Introducing ourselves as players. - Introducing our investigators. - Going over the Down Darker Trails setting and campaign expectations. - Making connections between characters before the adventure begins. - No prior knowledge of the setting is required. We’re a friendly, LGBTQ+ inclusive table that enjoys telling a compelling story together. Our current group consists of two trans women, one bisexual man, one non-binary player, and one straight cis man. While everyone is welcome to apply, we’d especially love to hear from cis women to help round out the group’s current makeup. Our sessions are recorded and uploaded to YouTube as part of our playcast, High Tides and Tall Tales. We’re still getting off the ground, so this is very much a passion project rather than a commercial one. Nobody is expected to be a professional entertainer. We’re simply a group of friends who enjoy telling stories together and sharing them with others. A face cam is not required. We intentionally keep the focus on the investigators and the story rather than the players behind them. The only requirement is that you’re comfortable having your voice recorded for YouTube. We also commission artwork throughout the campaign, so you’ll get to see your investigator brought to life as the story unfolds. We’re looking for someone who is: - Reliable and able to attend regularly. - Respectful and welcoming to everyone at the table. - Interested in collaborative storytelling. - Comfortable sharing the spotlight and helping others shine. Whether you’re a seasoned investigator or completely new to Call of Cthulhu, you’re welcome to throw your hat in the ring. If this sounds like your kind of trail, send me a DM, don’t reply to this post. Any applications left in the comments will be ignored. Consider it your first clue that paying attention to the details matters around these parts. Please include: - Your age. - Your experience with Call of Cthulhu or other TTRPGs. - What you enjoy most in tabletop RPGs. - Confirmation that you’re comfortable with your voice being recorded for YouTube. - Anything else you’d like me to know. So dust off your boots, check your revolver, and don’t linger after sundown. Some things out on the prairie ain’t natural. Hope to hear from you soon, partner. (I'm posting this from Reddit so, if it resembles lfg format you know why lol.)

Homebrew Homebrew
Horror Horror
Before I begin on the actual campaign related content: I am looking for people who would be interested in helping test run a system I have been working on for a good couple years. If that at all interests you, then please message me. Ravenloft Parish is the symbiosis of classic southern gothic tropes and settings with the story of Curse of Strahd. The valley of Barovia is a swampy hellscape deep in the heart of rural Louisiana. Forgotten by the rest of the world, it is the toybox for a vindictave and powerful vampire, whose power has stood uncontested for centuries.

Something happened to you—something you still can’t fully explain. A moment of fear, loss, or shock tore a hole in the world just wide enough for you to glimpse what most people never see. Since then, the shadows feel heavier. The silence in the woods lasts a little too long. And the stories you once dismissed as superstition no longer feel like stories at all. You are entering the Mythic North, a nineteenth-century Scandinavia where the old ways linger in the spaces modern life has yet to reach. People whisper about strange lights across the fields, figures watching from treelines, and traditions that must never be broken. You know now that these warnings were not meant for children—they were meant for you. You carry the Sight, the ability to see vaesen of myth and lore. With it comes responsibility to investigate mysteries that involve unexplained situations. When something disturbs the balance, you will be the one asked to face it. The unseen is waiting. What to expect: 🔹 A mix of premade mysteries and custom mysteries based on character backstories 🔹 A customizable home base that you can level up and gain benefits from 🔹 19th century inspired feel of alternative world Scandinavia 🔹 Story driven plot with character development implemented Never played Vaesen? Do not worry, this game is open for all. The system is easy to learn and easy to play. Link to game Primer to get a better idea of the game's tone and feel. "Before you are given a name to this place, this must first be known: 8 truths remain. They are not given. They are not waiting. They do not wish to be found. He will give you shape. He will give you routine. Do not mistake this for comfort. Be wary of what you accept as real when it has already been assembled and framed. Memory is not as reliable as you may believe. Rooms collapse, doors lead elsewhere, and the mirror reflects only what it must. Memory lies. What you remember is not always what happened, and what you've forgotten has not left. The trauma you carry did not remain behind. It was buried without depth. You will feel it: in the moments that linger too close. In the things you avoid without known reason. In the weight with no name. Morality will not be a line shown to you. You will choose between what is right, what is easy, and what is familiar. Search for the 8 fractures. Gather them, piece by piece. You may even believe to understand what you see. But understand this: reason contradicts. Desire demands to be forgotten. And one will ask you to decide if it was ever real at all. You were not placed here by accident, though accident may be the only explanation you are given. When the 8th truth reveals itself, He will give you everything. You will remember what you were never meant to keep." Yahoo ! I'm Yu (he/they/it), and I offer you a homebrewed campaign made with plenty of fresh beans, Tea Time with Satan. If you're inexperienced no sweat, I'll likely be learning alongside with you. I've played dnd for years but went on a long hiatus starting in highschool and I started back up again a while ago. So, I'm missing quite a bit of knowledge since I'm still newer to the 2024 rules but I'll do my best to keep learning. If you're a more experienced player that's great, I'm open to having someone teach me when needed. This is a PLAY BY POST campaign, meaning it is all TEXT BASED. As said, this is a homebrewn campaign. All npcs are mine, same goes for the locations, lore, world building, etc. All "official" npc art will be by me. I've never been one for scenery but I'll try scheming up drawings for the locations as well. Maps, however, will NOT be by me. I've also crafted up a few mechanics, spells, items, etc. Alternative universes are canon in my world, so you'll have a ton of freedom with your character. I'll veto and tweak what I need to but, other than that, I'm really chill. The very VERY basic premise is this: you wake up in Hell with no memory of how you arrived. You enter a pact with Satan who has you running errands for him. To proceed through the story you need to find all 8 truths and confront Satan about them. If you're missing one or even get a little wrong he sends you right back to your tasks. I'm easily excited so you can expect me to talk to you lots about your character outside of sessions. I also encourage roleplay outside of sessions since 1) roleplay is fun and amazing, and 2) it lets you get more in tune with your character. If there's an npc you want to roleplay with, lmk. That being said, I want my players to be REALLY into their characters, the world, and the game as a whole. So, roleplay with your whole heart and I shall do the same :3 This campaign is VERY LGBTQIA+ friendly, with myself being gay and trans. Majority of the TTwS cast are male, so I wholeheartedly encourage bl in my office. I am a complete sucker for romance, so yes, pretty much every npc is romanceable. As a fervent yaoi enjoyjer, bring on the gay and toxic yaoi (with limitations ofc). Flirting with the dm is highly, HIGHLY encouraged. (Note: "flirting with the dm" is for in-roleplay. It means to flirt with npcs and other characters the dm may play or add.) On the topic of relationships, pc-npc relationships are the focal point of the campaign. This goes in hand with passionate roleplay. If you don't advance your relationship with major npcs then you won't be able to complete the campaign. Play by post takes significantly longer due to different typing and reading speeds, so I ask that, while I love shenanigans, we stay on topic for as long as possible so you can get through the campaign without dragging it out and making it boring. Fast typing is encouraged. I offer solo sessions, and sometimes I'll ask you to schedule a solo session sometime during the week. Solo sessions differ from plain roleplay in that it directly changes what happens in regular sessions, where normal out-of-session roleplay affects very very little. The premise of these solo sessions is usually "\[npc\] would like to hang out." These can be silly hangouts or serious confrontations. You may ask for a solo session as well, if you'd like to buy a weapon you didn't get the chance to during our session, speak to an npc, or explore areas you normally wouldn't have time to during regular play. Solo sessions may also advance campaign plot. During level up, I'll ask if you want to schedule a solo campaign. If you go through with it, you may gain an additional skill/spell, item, etc. Trivia facts will be given at the end of every session. These bits of lore could range from a character's likes/dislikes, to information about a location, to details of a conflict. These could be incredibly important or not at all, that is up to the players. Questions about the given trivia will not be answered. We will be creating our character sheets manually with a fill-in pdf. I'll be there to assist you, of course, and we'll be rolling stats with avrae (unless you'd rather point buy). It's easier for my brain, but if you'd prefer to use something else like dndbeyond, go ahead. Just send me the finished sheet when you're done. We are currently at lvl 8 and we'll be going all the way to 20. Level progression, depending on how well and far the party is, may exceed 20, just to keep things fresh. We will be using discord bots (Avrae and roll20). We will hop onto roll20 for combat but that will be more for battle visuals. This is an 18+ campaign. Trigger warnings include but are not limited to: trauma, depression, anxiety, su/c/de (implied and shown), and gore. There will be no explicit scenes between pc-pc, pc-npc, and npc-npc. All explicit intimacy will fade to black and if you'd like to have smut between your pc and an npc just write a fanfiction about it. If between your pc and another player's pc, please ask for express permission from the involved party (I've been asked about this before so it must be said). Topics such as sa, ped/philia, and homophobia are NOT allowed. If it's part of a backstory, that's okay. Some of the npcs struggle with backstories regarding these topics, but what we will NOT do is glorify nor dwell too long on it. Story telling is a great way to vent and cope and some of my characters reflect that for me in some ways. But we are here to ultimately have fun, so keep that in mind. Don't expect so much comedy from me for I am not a naturally funny person but I enjoy banter, jokes, and shenanigans (be ready for consequences). But I do ask when it gets serious to get serious. Overall, I'll do my best to give you freedom with your character. Expect a fairly lengthy campaign so please make a character you'll enjoy playing and roleplaying with. Session 0 (The Prologue) will be a trial run, so if you're really not vibing with your race, class, spell list, etc., don't sweat we can tweak that and I'll craft up in game lore to explain the change, even if you're a spells-known class. If you end up REALLY hating your character after final tweaks, no sweat, we'll figure it out together. Please please PLEASE plan to be here every session, but I also understand that life sucks and stuff happens. Because of how flexible I'll be regarding characters, we can workshop inserts of your own. If you have a cool quirk for your character you really want to implement, Imk and we'll chat abt it. For example, if your character once dated the god of death, I can slide that into the campaign. I had a player with a pc closely connected to an npc, so if you want more of a role beyond just a player I'll gladly work around it. In the same vein, if you want to see more of something in the campaign (like horror or escape room bits), bring it up with me. I'll be running Fridays @ 9:00pm EDT. PLEASE convert that into your own timezone so you fully understand the scheduling and whether you'll be able to commit or not. Scheduling pings will be sent out the day before and the day of sessions. If you're interested in joining, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/KJT8UY9vVmZ3Scqn6 Please read carefully and understand what's being asked. I will send a friend request via discord to talk further (please ensure your username is correct). You'll be placed on a waiting list otherwise should you not be picked in case someone ends up tapping out.

The Crooked Moon

Horror Horror
"When the moon hangs crooked in the sky, bolt your doors, bank your fires, and never answer a knock after sunset..." The old stories were never just stories. Beyond the safety of the village lanterns lies a cursed wilderness where ancient forests whisper forgotten names, scarecrows watch from empty fields, and every shadow may hide a hungry monster. Witches weave bargains that cost more than gold, werewolves stalk moonlit roads, haunted spirits seek vengeance, and creatures from folklore wait patiently for travelers foolish enough to wander off the path. You are ordinary people—or perhaps something stranger—drawn together by fate, fear, or desperation. As the Crooked Moon rises, you'll uncover terrifying mysteries, face impossible choices, and decide whether you'll become the heroes the villages desperately need... or another cautionary tale told around the fire. This campaign is inspired by dark fairy tales, gothic horror, and European folklore. Expect eerie exploration, unsettling mysteries, dangerous monsters, moral dilemmas, memorable roleplay, and brutal combat where every victory comes at a cost. Your choices will shape the fate of the land, but remember: not every monster has fangs, and not every smiling face can be trusted. Can you survive beneath the Crooked Moon... or will your story become the next legend whispered in the dark?

The Curse of Strahd

Homebrew Homebrew
Horror Horror
I am currently running the infamous Curse of Strahd module and have an opening. I invite you in. The Game— Role-Play, Combat, Exploration:   This game leans into gothic horror and slow-burn tension. Expect moral strain, layered NPCs, and decisions that linger. Humor has a place, but it must live inside the world, not fracture it.   The game is generally balanced, though each session may favor one playstyle or skillset over another based on the choices made. The DM/Storyteller   I grew up playing AD&D but stepped away for several years before returning under the 5e ruleset. I prefer a realistic motif to RPGs.   - Homebrew 5e 2014 & 2024.   - Sunday 1pm - 5/6pm EST   - Looking for Player(s) 30+ The Players:   Players should be 30 years of age or older. In our experience, older players are more likely to make a long-term commitment to the campaign and be respectful of everyone's time and effort. We value reliability, communication, and a collaborative table where everyone can count on one another. We are currently running with one male Fighter type, one male Cleric type, and one female Ranger type. They are currently around level 6.   The right player(s) for this table:   - Engages with the story   - Enjoys existential dread as much as tactical combat   - Thinks beyond their sheet   - Understands that fear, restraint, and consequence are tools, not obstacles   - Can be inventive when the moment calls for it   - Keeps immersion in mind. Knows the difference between Above Table and On Table. Doesn’t Metagame. Requirements: (1) Discord. Voice & Video. (2) Maps. Owlbear Rodeo. (3) D&D Beyond. Build your character. We will create it together but arrive prepared. (4) Google Docs: Read Player Contract (Horror), Homebrew, and the Player Handouts. Agree to the Player Contract. Town Crier:   We will have a Session Zero and possibly a Session 0.5 game to ground your character in the world. The world is the Forgotten Realms. Become familiar with the Sword Coast/Faerun. Your character will start there and enter the Shadowfell/Barovia— the Curse of Strahd, via the Mist. Worry not, whatever you don’t understand now will become clear in time, well translucent at least.

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello my name is Fae. I've been playing dnd since 2015 and I'm an active DM for 8 years now. We have been playing as a group of five, one DM and four players. But unfortunately one of the players is stepping away and we wish to find someone to join us. We play bi-weekly on Saturday from 15:00 till about 20:00 CET Currently we are playing a heavy homebrewed version of CoS and just finished the House of Sorrows (death house) and the PC's just leveled up to level 4. My campaigns are always roleplay heavy with at least 1 combat per session. We play online using DnDBeyond and Roll20 and Discord for VC and keeping track of everything that happens in the campaign. I am a DM who uses a soundboard, imagery and storytelling to sketch the world we are in. I am very player orientated and do not mind bending the rules for your enjoyment. Over the years I have learned how to keep things balanced without sacrificing the fun of the players. I am also always happy to create something unique and custom for your character. Be it magic item, an event in the campaign, or PC specific lore inplementation. So don't be afraid to ask I am also very beginner friendly and welcome players of any and all expertise level Things I have zero tolerance for: - Harassment: zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or targeted personal insults out of character. - Boundary violations: disregarding established safety boundaries. - Sexual violence: complete ban on depicting, describing, or forcing sexual assault, both in active narrative and character backgrounds. - Unapproved PvP: attacking other party members, stealing from teammates, or casting harmful spells on allies without explicit, out of character consent from all involved parties. - Cheating: modifying character sheets retroactively, or intentionally mistracking resources. (if you wish to change something, just ask) - Tonal sabotage: Bringing joke characters, meme builds, or disruptive behavior into a designated grimdark/horror campaign. (joking among players, or as PC's during the campaign is completely fine and welcome) - Targeted DM hostility: Arguing aggressively against rules interpretations during the session or actively trying to "win" against the DM rather than engaging with the narrative challenges. (come to me after the session, I am very welcoming to feedback) Some of these rules only need to be broken once to get yourself a ban. So please be a respectable person, we are all here just so have some fun and share a laugh while building an epic world together. So what are we looking for: - Someone who loves roleplay, world and character development, and collaborative storytelling. - Someone who respects fellow players' time and commits to the schedule (this doesn't count for emergencies. we are understanding for situations you didn't choose) - Someone who is respectful of others, mindful of table boundaries and manners, and open to communication. - Someone who is excited to collaborate on their backstory and actively engage with the world's secrets. Not a hard requirement: - Preferably 18+, but we can make exceptions for mature teens. - Preferably a woman to balance out the table dynamic. One of our players would appreciate a second female presence in the group, though everyone is welcome to apply. If this sounds like the right fit for you, and you are ready to step into the mists and help us shape this world, shoot me a DM with a bit about yourself. Discord: vailandru tags: dark fantasy, gothic, curses, ancient secrets, prophecy & fate, grimdark, corruption, psychological & survival horror, cryptic lore, dynamic sandbox, puzzles & riddles, custom homebrew, atmospheric, high player agency, lore centric, character driven, roleplay heavy, moral ambiguity, permanent consequences, high lethality, CoS core, and many more!

Homebrew Homebrew
LGBTQ+ friendly LGBTQ+ friendly
THE FIRST GAME IS THIS SATURDAY, JULY 11th FROM 1pm-4pm EST, so please get back to me asap so we can make your character on roll20. I'm looking for 3 players to torture...I mean...have tons of fun with, with my take on the legendary Curse of Strahd campaign. I am an LGBTQ friendly DM and will not tolerate bigotry against such groups or racism. You will be safe here, I promise.   What you can expect: The game will be played on Roll20.net, while using a voice channel on discord. If you've never used Roll20, making an account is free. Only I need a paid account for us to get dynamic lighting and all that cool stuff. I built a bot so that I can stream atmospheric music through discord. I enjoy rolling real dice, so feel free to do so instead of using the digital dice. I believe in the honor system...but I mostly just like rolling real dice lol.  I will be using a webcam, but that is absolutely not required. The story is going to be dark, I'm going to hit you with moral dilemmas constantly, but I still expect my players to joke around and not take outcomes personally. I write stories where there's no right answer on purpose. They test your values rather than your problem solving skills.  I'm treating this as a one-shot with the potential to become the campaign because I'm going to run the introductory adventure "Death House" and see if the players gel well and I can build up the nerve to keep going. I'm a brand new DM, so go easy on me.  I'm very open to bending the rules to allow players to do cool things.  Since this is an open world adventure, I'll try to keep multiple plot threads available so you can choose your adventure, but I can't guarantee plot relevant stories, and what will be there may be a little rough around the edges...but, how else will I improve my improv skills? I will also be pulling from another DnD Anthology and inserting 3 modules that I'm currently in the middle of writing. There may be more custom content on the way as well. I have a lot of ideas brewing. This will be free, but if you ever feel like throwing a few bucks my way, I'll give you my cashapp. I'm not going to charge as a brand new DM.

Horror Horror
You are dead. Maybe you fell in battle, maybe you were betrayed, or maybe you went out in a flash of foolish glory. Whatever the case, your soul didn't pass on.  Instead, you woke up in the grey, cold expanse of Purgatory alongside six other lost souls. You all want the same thing: a second chance at life. There is only one way out, and the Arbiter of this realm has laid out the terms. To win back your mortality, you must hunt down, defeat, and usurp the Seven Deadly Sins. But there’s a catch. To destroy a Sin, someone must become it. As you slay them, one of you must absorb their mantle, inheriting terrifying cosmic power... and the corrupting curse that comes with it. Only when all seven Sins are claimed will the gateway to the living world open. 🏛️ Campaign Details System: D&D 5e (with heavy homebrew mechanics for the Sins) Platform: [e.g., Roll20 / Foundry VTT / Theater of the Mind] Voice/Comms: [e.g., Discord (Mic required)] Schedule: [e.g., Weekly on Fridays at 7 PM EST] Tone: Dark fantasy, roleplay-heavy, psychological, high-stakes. 👁️ What I’m Looking For Because this campaign relies on exactly seven players, I am looking for a very specific, dedicated group. Roleplayers First: This game is driven by your characters' backstories, regrets, and how they handle the corrupting influence of the Sins. Team Players: Seven players is a large group. You must be excellent at sharing the spotlight, listening to others, and keeping combat moving efficiently. Maturity: The campaign deals with dark themes (death, human flaws, morality). Respect for safety boundaries and fellow players is mandatory. 📝 How to Apply If you want to fight for your rebirth, please reply or DM me with the following: 1. Name/Pronouns & Age: 2. Your D&D Experience: (Beginners are welcome, but you must be willing to learn quickly!) 3. A Teaser Character Concept: Who were they? How did they die? What is the one reason they are willing to go through hell to change their fate? 4. The Temptation: Out of the Seven Sins (Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth), which one do you think your character is most vulnerable to inheriting? 5. Your Discord Handle:

We are looking for 2 more players to try out the game "Vaesen" by Nils Hintze (Free League Publishing). https://freeleaguepublishing.com/games/vaesen/ Most of us will be playing it for the first time so no worries if you are not familiar with the game or system. I am organising this campaign in a discord server. It will be played via a mix of voice calls and slower "play by post" via chat whenever players are unavailable.  The timezone for most players is UTC +1/2 (Western Europe). Sessions will likely be organised during weekend afternoons/evenings or Wednesdays and Thursdays after 18:30 CET if scheduling allows. What we are looking for: - Players that are ok with typing out and reading longer paragraphs of text. As some of the game will be played "by post" it is preferable for players to write longer messages and contribute to the worldbuilding and the story. - 18+. No NSFW is intended but all of us are in our mid to late 20s - Bonus points if you have played this game, or a game with the Year Zero Engine before. If you would like to join us, please write a few sentences saying why you are interested in the game/setting and how you fit the criteria above.

Hello, I am looking a person to fill into an ongoing Season of Ghosts campaign for the Pathfinder 2e System! It is a heavy downtime, horror-mystery style campaign revolving around the small haunted town of Willowshore. We have so far completed around a quarter of it so far. We are relatively new to Pathfinder 2E, with some members being newer than others. We play weekly, but with an odd schedule of 5 to 7 days between games. Next game would be Tuesday and after that either Sunday or Monday, for example. We play at 18h15/19h15/20h15 (West/Central/Eastern Europe time) on weekdays and at 15h/16h/17h (WEST/CEST/EEST) on Sundays. We do not play Saturdays because I have another ongoing campaign I DM on Saturdays. We play using Discord Voice Chat and on FoundryVTT. Session length is usually upwards of two hours and a half. We utilize Ancestry Paragon, Free Archetype and a nerfed/homebrew version of Starfinder's Skill Paragon ruling. Feel free to reach out and ask further questions if you want.

The Night Is Not One City (*The Coast After Dark* and *The Dark of Port Azalea*) **Chronicle Description:** Along the northern Gulf Coast, the night moves through ports, casinos, churches, parade routes, funeral homes, refineries, and black water. From Mobile, Alabama to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, survival is not merely a matter of feeding, it is a matter of access, reputation, and who controls the artery before hunger reaches you. The Dark of Port Azalea explores Mobile, Alabama: a city of masks, haunted history, imported blood, and fragile performance. The Camarilla maintains authority through lineage, salons, and ritualized order while the Anarchs answer with spectacle, nightlife, and defiance. Beneath both lies the same dependency: Mobile cannot sustain its dead alone. The Coast After Dark expands outward into the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a corridor of rival domains including Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, Gautier, Pass Christian, and D’Iberville. These cities are bound together beneath the fragile authority of the Council of Twilight, where power is curated through prestation, surveillance, fear, and carefully maintained appearances. Together, both chronicles form a connected Gulf Coast World of Darkness where: •    Blood is economy •    Status is performance •    Hunger is politics •    Reputation travels •    Borders matter •    Every ally is leverage •    Every enemy keeps receipts Whether you are a neonate navigating feeding rights, or a Kindred simply trying to survive the pressure of the system itself, this is a story-driven exploration of ambition, horror, politics, and consequence within the World of Darkness. **Rules:** We use Vampire: the Masquerade (V5) with thematic house rules tailored toward immersive storytelling, political tension, and consequence-driven play. The game balances literate, text-based roleplay with dice mechanics where needed. **Logistics** **Medium:** Play-by-post via Discord. **Time:** Open and asynchronous players engage in scenes at their convenience while contributing to a living, evolving chronicle world. **Players:** Open to all! Whether you are new to V5 and looking for guidance or an experienced player seeking layered political and character-driven horror, there is a place for you along the Gulf. **Applications:** [Step into Mobile.](<https://discord.gg/XF7NewPV>) [Step onto the Coast.](<https://discord.gg/w29ZXyb8PP>) Staff positions available The night is not one city. It is a coastline. Come prepared to hunt carefully, speak intentionally, balance your debts, and survive the pressure of a world already in motion.

@TCB Games & Collectibles. 656 Eastern Blvd Clarksville, IN Party of 4-6 1st level characters; point buy for stats June 13th 1pm. DnD 5e 18+ DM: @wonkav8 (Brian) $5 entry fee The group is venturing home to Vallaki after escorting musicians back to Skald in Kartakass after their performance at the season festival. A local there advised the party take a shortcut through the ancient Red Tear forest to avoid going around the Lake of Red Tears, some nonsense about spooks and nasties and people going missing in the ruins east of the lake. Upon heeding this well intentioned warning, they now find themselves lost in unfamiliar woods and darkness is setting in. Since choosing the less sinister of two trails, the party has felt uneasy as if something has been following them. The farther along the chosen trail they go, the narrower and less travelled the trail looks. Finally, a clearing opens where a dimly lit moss covered cabin sits at the far side of the clearing. A frail looking elderly woman sits on a rocking chair next to a hulking male sitting on a huge stump. The woman stops rocking and waves. In the distance, a howl unlike anything you have ever heard echoes through the forest. The last glimpse of daylight is barely providing any light through the forest canopy. The wave becomes a frantic gesture towards the cabin. Sign up in store at TCB or on our Dscord https://discord.gg/BkZG8g9aC6

Looking for DM – Curse of Strahd Campaign (2 Players) Hi there! My friend Jens and I are looking for a Dungeon Master to run a Curse of Strahd campaign for us. We’re hoping to find a DM who enjoys running a serious, immersive, roleplay-heavy game with strong gothic horror atmosphere and meaningful consequences. We’re both very excited about the setting and are looking for a long-term campaign where story, character development, and party dynamics are central. 👤 About Us Ben (me) 25 years old, based in Europe ~7 years experience with D&D 5e Current DM for a monthly in-person campaign (1+ year ongoing) Previously prepared a Curse of Strahd campaign and fell in love with the setting Experienced with roleplay-heavy, long-form storytelling games Comfortable with serious tone and collaborative storytelling Jens 25 years old A few months of D&D experience Very enthusiastic and eager to learn Especially drawn to dark, gothic fantasy settings Looking to grow his roleplay and system understanding through play 🎭 What We’re Looking For We are looking for a Curse of Strahd campaign that is challenging, We enjoy tension, risk, and meaningful consequences. We would love a DM who enjoys: Roleplay-heavy storytelling A dark, gothic, consequence-driven world Long-term campaign commitment Party-driven narrative development Creative freedom and player-driven choices ⚔️ Desired Gameplay Style / Systems Lethality system: Death is permanent when a character dies, if all characters die the campaign ends. we had the idee to use tashas couldron companion rules a a sort of “extra life” system: Each player begins with 2 companions that can be developed into full player characters when the players main character dies. These act as backup lives. However, they can also die independently, removing those extra survivability layers before the main character dies. Expanded Lingering Injuries system: for this we would like to use the Farlandworld Lingering Injuries by Damage Type. Expanded Indefinite Madness system: for this I have a D100 list. As you can tell we are fully on board for a brutal, gritty, and consequence-heavy experience, and we are actively looking for a DM who enjoys running that kind of game. We’re not looking to “win” Curse of Strahd we’re looking to survive it, suffer through it, and tell a memorable story doing so. No character should be the same after Barovia is done with them... 🧰 Practical Info Availability is during night hours 19:00/20:00 until 23:00/00:00. Discord for voice I know Roll20 but other platforms are fine Stable internet and working microphones System is DND 5e (2014) 🌫️ Final Note if you are a DM who enjoys a challenge wants to dish out curses and run a truly horific Curse of Strahd experience. Then this is the game for you! we’d love to hear from you, please send us your discord and something about yourself so we can conntact you and plan a call. Ben & Jens

You’re in a dreary, isolated valley surrounded by deadly, insurmountable mist, perpetually overcast, the dim sunlight ineffective against the vampires who haunt there. Set in a Gothic atmosphere inspired by Eastern European folklore, this highly lethal horror campaign focuses on survival over accumulation of wealth. As one player has just decided to leave, we’re now seeking a 6th. Current party consists of a male human mystic dancer enchanter, male human life cleric, female human psi-warrior fighter, male dragonborn paladin-sorcerer, and male half-orc barbarian. This is an **18+** campaign for mature themes; minors, DNI. Applicants will be thoroughly vetted. Beginner friendly, with at least two experienced players already confirmed. Dark lands

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Horror Horror
using dnd 5e 2014 A homebrew setting with some homebrew-related features. game will be run sundays around 5pm EST ----------------- Set in a high fantasy world where, contrary to the forgotten realm's lore, Giants and Dragons never waged war against one another, and thus were never reduced to a shadow of their former selves; and where humanoid races were guided by powerful magical creatures, being granted a continent of their own to rule by the name of Lynn. Planar powers have a strong presence in the world as they fight for dominancy of the spiritual world of the ethereal plane, or as they try to form cults or spiritual followings to gain power over others. High-level magic is rare in humanoid hands in the prime material but can be found in many forms or in magical items. Ages ago, the world was created by a giant and dragon god whose children inherited it from them. Rules were set, and empires were formed. No major conflicts would lead to disaster, as they each had lands to call their own. Once, the humanoid races appeared across the planet, suddenly with no written history by any race as to how they even came to be, no gods or other powerful being claimed their creation, leading to the greater magical beings to guide the races they found themselves with in their primitive states. Many centuries of guidance with many new humanoid races forming due to planar interactions, the gods granted the humanoids a land of their own, Lynn. The lands of Lynn once were home to the world's humanoid races, who were gifted it by the giant and dragon gods so they may have the ability to rule themselves apart from the giant and dragon races. 60 years prior to the party coming to the lands, a calamity befell the land with 40-foot gates to the elemental planes opening all over the land, each releasing a massive burst of energy relating to the plane they opened to, leading to mass destruction. The elemental plane of fire's gate opened in the center of the capital of the human empire in the center of the continent, leading to its collapse as a wave of fire and explosive force leveled miles around the gate. The nobles who survived escaped to the south coast due to the lack of any deadly gate openings, leading to the creation of the city of Hope. One prime gate exists per plane, which can not be closed by any means, even with the gods' assistance, with many other smaller gates appearing anywhere in the land but never a certain distance from the prime gate. --------- **warning this will be a smaller focused campaign to get my DM mojo back after my break from dming. aiming for at least level 3-8 maybe more if the players want. also using my homebrew for this game.** This campaign shall be centered around survivors finding themselves in the shadowfell version of Lynn having few memories with all sharing a memory of the distant sunny sky and a gentle breeze being the main drive of returning to the normal world. Every player will be allowed to choose from an undead race in my homebrew from zombies or wights to name a few. You awaken to find yourselves in a mineshaft in makeshift holding cells of iron with their doors unlocked. Silence fills the mineshafts but in the distance you hear the moans of the dead. --------- While the setting might be bleak and dark by no means does the players characters. Expect dark tones but not all doom and gloom. Homemade maps created with inkarnate(i do my best) and a updated homebrew doc that i prio players feedback. I am not allowing homebrew classes unless approved but i have a distain for non subclass homebrews. races are up to review. While the game will be centered around the undead filled realm of the shadowfell you may play as a non undead however depending on your choice you might have it rougher. I have a handout with some homebrew races and features you may also select from, including some changes to spells and mechanics, such as a necromancy rework. We will be using a custom point buy system, and during the course of the game, you may find ways to increase stat caps through things such as rituals. **Warning. Subjects including slavery and gore/undead will be explored.** I'm aiming for a group that is roleplay-centered, and I encourage my players to interact with the world and the people around them. For this reason, I will work with you to create a character that fulfills your roleplay themes, be it planar law bringers to even, but not limited to, Demongolists, Fey creatures/servants of Fey, Trogyldtes, or elementalist. New players are welcome. you must be 18 or older to apply.(i dont ask for ID just an honor system. The party will be starting at 3rd level, and the following levels will be gained via milestones. You also get a free starting feat, and **multiclassing will not be allowed.** Elves do not exist in this world We will be using Discord for voice, no use of D&D Beyond, and all sheets, as well as battle maps, will be hosted on Roll20. AI isn't allowed for any character creation process(art is allowed) Aiming to create a hangout space for people to play games and chat outside of game time.

Meowdy. I am looking for 1-2 additional players to join an established group as we start a new game. About our group The group currently consists of myself and two other people. I've been playing with them for about a year, but they're part of a small ttrpg discord server that's been together a few years longer. We play different games run by different members of the group from time to time. We play over discord voice chat, and will probably be using roll20 as a vtt. Sessions are weekly on fridays at 7pm EST. Two of us are transfeminine and none of us are straight. We would prefer to play with other gay and trans people. We are also 30+ and would prefer to play with other adults. About the game We are going to be starting a campaign of CAIN, an action-horror game about superpowered paranormal investigators hunting down monsters born from human trauma running off a Forged in the Dark-adjacent dice pool system. If you're not familiar, please take a look at the link to see if it interests you and I can provide a copy of the full book. CAIN is a game that inherently deals with dark and difficult subjects. Safety tools will be in place and there will be room for sillyness, but this game won't be a lighthearted experience. About me as a GM I've been running tabletop games for a very long time and I'm pretty opinionated about them. I tend to run games pretty much by the book, particularly when trying out new systems. I don't really ignore rules on purpose to facilitate cool moments or things like that. I expect everyone at the table to learn the rules of the system and to engage with them to the best of their ability. I like to do voices and will engage in improv acting scenes sometimes, but I don't consider it a necessary part of playing games. I like to maintain a clear separation between player and character. I'll often describe things in third person and summarize what generally happens in an interaction rather than speaking out every individual bit of dialogue. I'm kind of sadistic and like to do mean things to characters for fun. About you If you're interested, please fill out this google form to tell me a bit about yourself and I will be in touch.
