Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Looking for player interested in testing custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

Ruins of a village

Homebrew Homebrew
Age: minimum 16+ (mature content, gore and death for example), ideally 18+ Time and date: Saturday 22.8, session duration roughly 3-4h, depending on how far we get maybe a follow up session on saturday the 5.9 Requirement: Discord, Decent Mic character creation: Lv 7-8 characters with some buffs to drive home that giant feeling. Most normal races and all classes allowed. The flavour will be changed to giant. I can help if you need help. focus: exploration/combat Base rules: 5e ruleset (rules as interpreted, rule of cool, rules of logic), no powerbuilds, no language spells or spells that allow you to talk to animals Short info: Your characters will be a hunting party from a village that got completely destroyed upon your return. In this world the only sentient species your characters know of at this point are giants which live in a tundra on a low tech standard (You can use whatever normal race and class you feel fits for your stats, homebrew you need to run by me for balance). Your goal will be to hunt down whoever or whatever destroyed your village and to avenge your families (and maybe rescue anyone still alive). Intro: It was a dry summer in the high Chirachat, a region dominated by multiple tribes of giants all mostly united under one council of the eldest. That however is not of much interest to you when you come back from a long and tedious hunting trip out into the plains around your village. Normally you would have heard the laughter of children or seen someone bring out some booze hoping for the first pick on the meat you hunted. This time you were only greeted by silence interrupted only by a charred wooden beam falling down onto the ground. You look around the now desolate place, devastated. You had it all but now you are standing in front of nothing. You all spread out, your large spears and bows in hand. Soon you would all find the traces of something big, something with large teeth. In your minds was only one goal left: To hunt down whoever did this. How to join: Simply join here or add me on discord. Please write a short intro. The minimum intro should include any limits (like gore) you might have to determine if the game I planned will work for you.

Hi there! Festenia is a typical yet lovingly crafted classic fantasy Setting made by me and a lot of player input, with aspects of exploration and political conflict. We are a ongoing campaign but due to work one of our players had to leave for a unspecified amount of time although they might rejoin much later,  we made it to session three, and around session 5 you could join us! Currently the party consists of a Celestial Warlock and a psy warrior both freshly level 3 which you would be joining us at too. Players are incentivized to come up with a cool character using the 2024 Dnd rule set, content not yet ported over and other sources like hombrew are fine but require you to ask me first. I would describe the campaign as around 60% roleplay and 40% combat. You do not need to own any paid material and neither is paying an artist a requirement. A few words about the setting: Festenia is a diverse Fantasy world filled with all kind of mysteries and conflicts, currently political tensions between the normally peaceful Sitirian trade Federation, a group of multiple small coastline countries united under a central government with the hope of enabling quick, easy, safe and cost reducing sea trade between the multiple landmasses of Festenia, and the Dristin Empire, a nation priding themselves on their powerful military force and powerful political allies that provide them with the most advanced developments in weapon technology.  More details about the setting will be provided upon further interest. Anyone is welcome new players an i are pretty much in the same boat when it comes to playing so feel free to message me, as an info we are all around the age of 19-20. Schedule is absolutely set in stone and can at max be changed by plus or minus an hour. We will be using discord and roll 20.

Hello! I am a streamer who goes by GalaktikDragon and I'm looking for one or two more players for a game of VtM I plan to run on my stream. I am a semi practiced GM, but will be new to running V20+Future world of Darkness to create a cyberpunk style city setting, all original characters and no links to exisitng properties. I just call it Cyberpunk so people can understand the vibe of the city.  I have 3 players ready to go. 1 experienced and 2 brand new. just looking to fill out the party with some nice people who wouldn't mind streaming the game on Tuesday afternoons PST. We will be using FoundryVTT and Stoat for Voice as I no longer trust Discord after being hacked. Thanks

Adventures on Sword Coast

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
What Kind of Game This Is The world exists independently; it does not revolve around the characters. It is populated by powerful rulers, ancient monsters, nameless peasants, gods, heroes, and thousands of people who have never even heard of your characters. Some of them are stronger than you. Some are your equals. Some could crush you in a heartbeat. Being an adventurer guarantees no victory; it merely offers a chance to change the world. If characters act wisely—using reconnaissance, diplomacy, cunning, and common sense—they can defeat enemies far stronger than themselves. If they charge in headlong, the world will show them no mercy. Approach to Characters Characters are not merely a collection of stats and abilities. They are individuals who had a life before the campaign began and—potentially—will have one after it ends. They have families, homes, friends, enemies, dreams, and fears. I want characters who truly exist within the world, not ones who simply materialize out of thin air in a tavern with "adventurer" stamped on their foreheads. I am interested in heroes who have something to lose. Approach to Rules Rules are not meant to replace common sense. Rules exist to resolve uncertainty. Therefore, I treat the system as a tool, not as scripture. If you love creating "broken" builds, arguing over every paragraph of the rulebook, or using the rules as a weapon against the GM, we will struggle to play together. If you care more about the world, the story, and the consequences of your decisions than about exploiting mechanics, we will likely get along well. Character Death Death is always a possibility. Characters can die because the world is dangerous. If a character dies, it will be the result of their own decisions, the circumstances, or risks they consciously chose to take. Trust I trust the players. I expect the same in return. If a character runs into trouble, it doesn't mean the GM has decided to punish them. If a character gets lucky, it doesn't mean the GM has decided to go easy on them. Characters take action, and the world reacts to those actions. The game cannot function without trust. Intra-Group Conflict Conflict between characters is acceptable. Conflict between players is not. Characters may argue, hate one another, and hold opposing goals or worldviews. However, players must remember that they have gathered for a shared game. If a conflict begins to spoil the fun for other participants, it ceases to be an in-game conflict and becomes a problem. Metagaming I expect minimal metagaming in this game. This means distinguishing between what *you* know and what your *character* knows. A character lives within the world and acts based on what they have seen, heard, and experienced. A player might know more—but the character does not. I ask that you maintain a clear boundary between the two. What This Game Is About This is a sandbox-style game about adventurers on the Sword Coast. Specific events and storylines are unfolding in the world, but it is up to you to decide which ones to engage with and how. Characters venture into the wild borderlands to earn some money. They level up and can become local rulers if they choose. General gameplay: Characters have no money - They go on an adventure. - They earn money and return to town to take a downtime break and spend the money on magical items, training, real estate, and more. - Characters have no money. Playable Characters At the start, there are strict restrictions. Only Humans or Halflings, only Warriors or Rogues. Later, you can learn other classes from instructors and replace your current one. For example, a 3rd-level Rogue could study to become a Bard and become a 3rd-level Bard. Another option for expanding your abilities and changing races is Death. If your character dies, you can choose a character from the races you've encountered and have studied sufficiently. If you've spent time in a dwarven stronghold, it's reasonable that one of the dwarves will decide to travel with you, replacing a fallen comrade. The available classes also expand. If you're playing a Warrior and have spent enough time in a Druid Grove, your next character can be a Druid.

Hello, Thought I would reach out to invite you to a game we are running on Monday. We need two more players to run it and I thought I would reach out to you. This is an age 18+ oneshot that uses 5.5e rules however the races are animal races. The race traits have been made and there are 7 races to choose from. The world has a rich lore for you to discover and I can't wait to share it with you. Currently I am looking for players to run through a game called Hunter's Delight, A one shot made within this world. I am looking for a maximum of 4 players. This will be my first time GMing an online game but not the first time playing online. It's a bit of a murder mystery but also quite funny too. I am happy for players to create their own characters. The level for the oneshot is level 10, and there are 5 premade characters I can share with you on D and D beyond if you are new to the game. The races we are using are beastfolk, as in animal people, not people who can transform into animals. I hombrewed the races and the race traits are it little confusing and could do with some tailoring so we have decided to use the standard races from DND 5.5e and just flavour the race traits to the seven beastfolk races in the homebrew world. These races include: * Eaglefolk * Vulturefolk *Lionfolk *Cheetahfolk *Hyenafolk and Tigerfolk There are two slots open so please let me know as soon as you can if you can join. I've made it to be fun, quirky but yet exciting and, of course, violent. I have very much enjoyed creating a whole range of NPCs and scenarios and have very much enjoyed producing quite a bit of art for it, especially map wise. It is a game that is roleplay heavy and combat heavy as well. Would love to share this with you if you are available.  Hope to see you soon.

Magic focused homebrew, Beginners Welcome!

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
System: D&D 5e (Heavily modified / custom toolset playtest) Setting: Low-magic, gritty high-adventure fantasy (Think Lord of the Rings, no sci-fi/superhero) Schedule: Weekdays between 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM MST Session Length: ~3–4 hours per session (Frequency/day to be locked in with the group) Platform: Discord for voice + custom web tools. About the Game If you love the grounded, mythic feel of The Lord of the Rings and prefer narrative problem-solving over memorizing hundreds of spell cards, this game is for you. I am running a playtest campaign to try out some custom digital tools and streamlined mechanics I've been developing. As well as getting some of the many homebrew stories I have written out there. PLUS a custom magic system that focuses on allowing you to create/tweak your own spells... it is going to be great! Who I am Looking For Beginners & Rule-Agnostic Players: If you've never played D&D before or don't know the rulebook inside out, you are the ideal candidate. Because we will be tweaking and breaking standard 5e rules, you don't need system mastery only a desire to roleplay and explore. An interest in magic will also come in handy. Collaborative & Communicative: Helpful with giving quick, honest feedback on the custom tools between/after sessions. How to Apply Please fill out this short Google Form so I can find a group with matching schedules and playstyles: 👉 Apply link Feel free to leave a comment below once you’ve submitted!

I'm a first-time GM so please bear with me, I am familiar with 3.5 as a player though and would prefer to run the game in this as opposed to 5e. If the group agrees in session 0, I am willing to change to 5e. (I am just as familiar with 5e if not a little less than 3.5) Looking to run a homebrewed setting on an island surrounded by a magical storm conjured by a dragon "king." Will meet on discord for VC/Text chatting during the game, held on roll20 as the VTT. My discord user is: beanureeves (Display name: Beanu Reeves) can elaborate more on the discord and in session 0 (just be sure to message me for the link)

Sacramento County based group, open to online players. This is a long term campaign. We will go through the campaign books, starting with Out of the Abyss, and likely run some homebrewed stories as well as the characters progress. Homebrew characters are okay, as long as they are balanced and lore-friendly.  I am looking for my Co-DM to help me run my campaign.

Inferno A Dante's Inferno-inspired D&D 5e (2024) campaign — looking for 2 players System:D&D 5th Edition (2024 rules) Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord (voice) Players needed: 2 Schedule:Saturdays, 9pm GMT+2 Session length: 3–4 hours --- You died. Minos judges, Minos sentences, and you spend eternity exactly where your worst act put you. No appeals, no exceptions. Except somewhere between the shore of the Acheron and the judgment you were owed, something went wrong with the paperwork. You're still unsorted. And someone with more to lose than you'd expect is willing to walk you through Hell itself for a chance at a real hearing instead of an automatic sentence. This is a story-driven, character-focused campaign about facing exactly what put you here, with enough combat, danger, and infernal politics along the way to make sure you don't get there easily.  What to Expect - Psychological and personal. Each circle of Hell mirrors something true about a character, not just a themed dungeon. - Still a full D&D campaign. Real combat, real stakes, real chances to die twice. Infernal contracts, hellish factions, a warzone feel in the lower layers. - Character-driven pacing. Story arcs are built around the party's choices and backstories. - Session zero. Before we start, we build the world and your characters together, including what each of you actually wants out of a game about Hell.  About the Table DMing for 5+ years, mostly 5e, running games that lean heavily into roleplay and character backstory over pure mechanics, though I know the rules well enough to bend them when the story calls for it. All experience levels welcome; Recommend joining if you favour roleplay over combat ## Interested? No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out. It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already, this is meant to help the group have versatility. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel and City Gangrel, turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. I had to make tiny changes to V20 to make it simpler, faster. Like Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. Also I don't use abilities like Awareness, Larceny, and I kept the damn Linguistics, Dodge as they are needed. That kind of thing. I even have combat rounds with meaningful character range when I gotta be aware of the local terrain/number of villains etc (minatures rules). The Giovanni I replaced with Cappadocians and Lamia, as the Giovanni were megalomaniacs and incompetent besides, plus they don't seem to be at all relevant to any setting (there are ghosts in Chicago note). The Ravnos I replaced as being totally divorced from the rest of the game, they don't have any influence, and seem to exist solely for troublemaking players. So, they got booted in favor of the Salubri, who actually ARE useful from a GM's perspective, they curb the worst excesses of Cainites. Finally, I outright replaced all Setites with Baali, the latter are a much better written, and much more competent version of the Setites' Lovecraftian "I wanna bring demons into the world" schtick.  I noticed that if you played the Sabbat as written, they'd be wiped out entirely by werewolves, human hunters, and the Camarilla long ago. Worse, if they somehow managed to survive, they'd be discovered as vampires by humanity BECAUSE of their silly anti masquerade antics. On top of that, eating one's elders is a bad idea. All the Sabbat had was neonates and super buff elders, nothing in between. That means their stated purpose was a shambles. I changed their purpose to (eliminating the focus on fighting clan founders) dominating humanity, making humans into slaves. The Black Hand has been subsumed into the Sabbat as a whole. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes, so you need to make the character with my help so that you get the most potency possible for what you tell me you want to do). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered yes by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in late 1990, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc. In general you will be making your PC on video chat with me, so that I can make sure you get all the benefits coming to you.  Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. The Dark Fate flaw means that your PC is destined to die by Antedilivuan during the end of the world. That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia.  Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor), Salubri (one healer(an FBI agent), one watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tzimisce who goes Camarilla eventually has huge story potential, and could aid the group extensively via Vicissitude, Koldunism (need a level 3 ritual late in the campaign), and Animalism to hose over werewolves and aid the party vs frenzy. Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, True Brujah, and the healer version of Salubri, all have clan access to Presence, and level 3 of that power requires Appearance being high, so a PC could be quite the entrepreneur among vampires and humans (note that the porn Hollywood, prostitution, and music industry would be lucrative)..... A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). At the moment, the only Discipline nobody has clan access to is Celerity, but there's a lot of clan proprietary powers that nobody has. There is a 5 pt merit that allows you to buy an additional clan discipline, by the way, and in my version of Celerity you need lots of Wits, but nowhere near as much vitae points. If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset. This is a copy of an update I gave to a player that missed a session: Both Michael Payne and Son are dead, and Jay found another body in the basement, this time of a dead boy, a formerly months old vampire. His name was Neon, Damien of the Brujah, one of 2 anarch leaders was caring/teaching Neon, he will have to be told. Neon was chained via manacles to the basement floor in Son's Skokie residence, his throat ripped out and his face gnawed upon. Evidence was found that Son was blackmailing Horatio Ballard into insane and demeaning acts. You could get a major boon from Ballard using this. Ballard apparently has been naughty. Michael accidentally killed son, and Michael is dead thanks to the party knocking him into torpor, and the elders ending him. recall, michael was suicidal, and homicidal plus had a rep for being a thug who used to cause chaos your character just rescued the young couple that son was psychologically torturing, and you shot michael (bashing damage, just reduced him to torpor) as he tried to use ben as a shield

The Legends of Arithea

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello and welcome to the world of Arithea! Arithea is a world where gods walk among the people, magic is everywhere, and the stars are alive with knowledge of the past. The year is 3999 AR, just before the elder gods return to the mortal plane for the thousand year festival. It should be a time for celebration, but something dark is brewing. There’s whispers about a dangerous magic that turns people mad and tensions growing in the south of the realm. Not that those whispers concern you, of course. After all, you’ve found yourself in the kingdom of Eridia, a place known for its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of how or why you came here, you’re here now, and you have received a mysterious letter signed by the head of the Queen’s guard requesting your help. This is where our story begins. ——————————————————— I’m a 21 year old experienced player (but new dm) that has created an entirely home brew world to run this game in. My big inspirations are Percy Jackson, Studio Ghibli, Genshin Impact, and the podcast Malevolent, though that one doesn’t translate as well as the others since my world isn’t horror. I’m a big fan of whimsy and the rule of cool, so if you’ve got a wacky character idea, this might just be the place for you! I really want to go into depth about your backstory and make you care about not only your character, but the group as a whole. This will be a very rp focused game, with very little but meaningful combat. I plan for it to be mostly serious in terms of tone, but I am also not going to shy away from the occasional ridiculous side quest or silly bit. I will warn you now that I can’t really do voices and accents for the life of me, but I’m going to try my best. I don’t know exactly when this game will start because it will depend on how quickly I find players, but I’m hoping for late August or September. I plan for this to be a very long term game, so please only apply if you’re going to be in it for the long haul. We will be starting with every other week, but we may switch to every week once I get a hang of prepping for/running sessions. ——————————————————— Ground rules: 18+ only. Please be safe on the internet you guys. No AI in any form. No bigotry of any kind. We will be using d&d 5e 2014 rules. I’m also open to homebrew stuff, but you have to ask me first. New players are 100% welcome! You don’t need to have any experience at all with anything d&d, all I ask is that you show up and try your best. I’m totally willing to help you figure it out! I am a new DM. This is the first game I am running ever. There will inevitably be hiccups and mistakes but such is life. If you’re looking for a super polished game, this probably isn’t the one for you, but I have hope that we’ll still have fun, everyone starts somewhere and I’m excited to start here! If everything above sounds good to you, then please fill out the form I made and I will message you with more information if I think you’d be a good fit! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) Form: https://forms.gle/NxBWoCGCjdwvP2Mw8

I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

Howdy hi!! Shut-in world builder wizard here, just looking for cool people to bring to me and friends' online table for a bespoke variation of 3.5e D&D that focuses less on min-maxing/power-scaling and more on curiosity of the player, experimentation and a whole new toy box of fresh mechanics to dive into! Some of those mechanics share DNA with 5-5.5e concepts and might be familiar to players coming in from the most recent editions, and others have been forged from the mad scientist lab sessions of me and mine over several campaigns! We've got weird new races--psychic plant people, immortal deer fey, juggernaught dwarf-orc hybrids, sentient amnesiac undead, need I go on?! We've got intriguing reworks on old classics-- broad new specialization AND generalization options for casters, exciting new martial feats for bruisers of all types, and much needed re-balances for the discrepancies between Druid and Ranger! We've got an in-house, homemade character sheet template made in Microsoft Excel that tracks your bonuses, debuffs, gear weight, weapon rolls and all your stats in real time! We've got an entirely homebrewed, simple to understand, elemental damage counter system with a table of effects that completely turns the nature of how players and enemies utilize different damage types on its head! All this, and a chill, low-stress, inclusive table of nerds too! Sound good? Then give the profile a poke, and come see if your new favorite homebrewed TTRPG system will be ours! =)

Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

Elaria: Breaking the Chains Elaria is a land of powerful kingdoms, ancient magic, and prosperity built upon slavery. Humans, orcs, beastkin, prisoners, and countless others are bought and sold while those in power grow wealthy from their suffering. Within the slaves social circle classes have been established, the house slaves see themselves as better then those who work the grounds and so on. The party begins as ordinary adventurers with no army, rebellion, or grand destiny. But as they travel across Elaria and witness the cruelty of its kingdoms, they will have opportunities to fight back. You will not start in a inn or town, it will be a suprise Freeing a few slaves can become rescuing a village. A rescued village can become allies. Allies can become soldiers and soldiers can become a rebellion. The players will build that rebellion themselves—recruiting allies, establishing bases, gathering resources, liberating territory, and deciding how far they are willing to go to end slavery. Eventually, Elaria's kings will learn their names. The only question is whether history will remember them as heroes, rebels, or something far more dangerous.

grounded: the helix organizations mistakes

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
The Helix Initiative was introduced to the public as a revolutionary leap in environmental adaptation, biological medicine, and survival science. Officially, the organization claimed it was developing new ways for humanity to survive ecological collapse, disease, and resource shortages. Behind closed doors, however, Helix operated hidden research divisions dedicated to experimentation far beyond legal or ethical limits. Somewhere deep within those divisions, a scientist identified in surviving records only as Dr. W██d████ T████ developed a machine capable of shrinking living organisms to less than an inch tall. The technology was presented internally as a breakthrough in resource efficiency and medical research—but many of the subjects brought into testing were children between the ages of eight and sixteen. Most never returned. You are one of the survivors. After undergoing the procedure, you awaken inside an ordinary city park that has become an impossible wilderness at your scale. Blades of grass tower like trees. Puddles become lakes capable of drowning entire groups. Ants patrol the dirt like armored soldiers, while spiders transform sections of the park into web-choked death zones. Every inch of terrain matters. Every storm is catastrophic. Survival depends on learning how to weaponize the environment itself—crafting tools and defenses from thorns, sap, insect shells, broken plastic, roots, and scavenged debris left behind by previous miniature civilizations that clearly did not survive for long. As you explore deeper into the park, you begin discovering abandoned outposts, collapsed shelters, and fragmented Helix logs detailing increasingly unstable experiments. The records reference attempts to create “evolutions chosen suvivors” capable of evolving beyond normal biological limits. Again and again, one phrase appears alongside heavily censored personnel files: MARROW SYNDROME. The disease slowly destroys the body in stages—first decaying bone tissue, then muscle structure, and finally flooding the lungs with blood. Somewhere among the corrupted files are hints that Dr. W██d████ T████ never joined Helix out of loyalty. Some logs imply he infiltrated the organization to expose its corruption, free the surviving test subjects, and continue researching a cure for a terminally ill child connected to the syndrome. Whether those rumors are true remains uncertain. Helix officially denies the existence of both the disease and the scientist. Not every strange thing in the park comes from Helix laboratories. Survivors occasionally encounter a bizarre figure known only as Rock—a hyper-muscular talking bee obsessed with shouting “MUSCLE” at every possible opportunity. Most groups dismiss him as insane until they realize he understands far more about the park than he should. One moment he acts like a reckless coach forcing terrified children to become stronger, and the next he casually references erased facilities, failed experiments, or “previous attempts” that nobody else remembers. Near the edges of abandoned Helix sectors, Rock sometimes becomes unusually quiet, staring into empty space before muttering warnings that sound less like jokes and more like genuine fear. HE IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE...

robloxia: the tales of time

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
A mysterious catastrophe has scattered the 50 Weapons of Calamity across Robloxia. Each relic was forged long ago upon the legendary Heights, each carrying incredible power—and a dangerous cost. Left unchecked, these weapons could reshape kingdoms… or destroy them. You are not a legendary hero. You’re an ordinary Robloxian who has become mysteriously connected to figures from Robloxia’s ancient past. That connection grants you just enough willpower to wield the Calamity Weapons without immediately falling victim to their corrupting influence—but every relic still tests the resolve of its wielder. Guided by the admin Shedletsky, you’ll journey through a world inspired by classic Roblox, exploring jungles, frozen sanctuaries, ancient kingdoms, haunted mansions, forgotten temples, underwater civilizations, and places that should never have existed. Every chapter centers around recovering a unique relic while uncovering the history of the guardian who once wielded it and the hope they left behind. But you’re not the only one searching. Someone is always one step ahead. Wherever you arrive, traces of another relic hunter remain: repaired bridges, abandoned camps, cryptic notes, impossible acts of mercy, and stories from those who crossed their path. Some call them a thief. Others claim they’re a savior. No one can agree on why they’re collecting the relics—or what they’re trying to prevent. Your choices matter. Kingdoms can be saved or abandoned. Guardians can be redeemed or lost. Entire chapters change depending on the decisions your party makes, and the consequences of those choices echo throughout the campaign. Robloxia: the tales of time is a story-driven D&D campaign focused on exploration, memorable boss fights, powerful legendary relics, difficult moral decisions, and uncovering one of Robloxia’s greatest mysteries. Sometimes, saving the world isn’t about becoming stronger. Sometimes… …it’s about giving people a reason to keep hoping. "im sorry... if it means that this world can go on... then I'll see it through."

Welcome to Keocorra! (possible Camapign)

LGBTQ+ friendly LGBTQ+ friendly
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Hello folks and welcome to my adventurer recruitment! Let’s begin with a quick introduction and summary of my post. You should gain a brief overview of what I’m looking for/offering from the first two sections. I am a bit of a yapper, so the overall post may get a little long, but if you are interested, please read it all. (I will be putting more information on the Discord Server I’ve made for this.) I would like to note that the server is currently at a good amount of people, however I am reopening this with the hopes of having at least someone to possibly fill a slot and hopefully get enough people to run my One Shot for a third group. Games will most likely run on Sundays in the later afternoon based on CET time.  Me: My name is Shay (He/Her/Theirs (any pronouns)). I’m 22 years old and have always been a storyteller. That said, English is not my first language. I do my best and would say I’m fluent, though. I am queer and neurodivergent and a nerd, which is sort of obvious considering this is a ttrpg recruitment site lol. I got some DnD experience recently after years of never having the proper friend group for it. I’ve loved tabletop content for years, and now that I’ve played some, I know I love it. Although playing itself is very fun, I’ve always known the mantle of the DM calls to me. Therefore, I am now a beginner DM, currently working on my own DnD setting.  What I’m looking for: I am looking for players of any skill level that would be interested in connecting, and possibly eventually embarking on a campaign with me. I do not currently have any dming experience, which is why this recruitment is primarily for a One Shot I have written. It is fairly straight forward and should cover the various aspects of DnD (roleplaying, exploring, combat, looting etc). I want to write more One Shots, and through running them, find a group for a campaign. However, you don’t have to be interested in a campaign to play my One Shot :) Rules and Requirements: You must be 18+ to join. You must have a decent microphone and stable Internet. You do not need any prior DnD experiences. Joining the One Shot is not a guarantee of getting into the Campaign: The Campaign will have four players just like each group of the One Shot will. I'm hoping to run the One Shot three times. One Campaign Slot is already filled.  You may make your character sheet on sites such as DnDBeyond or Dicecloud, but you may also make one on paper. Just be sure to send it to me if it’s not through my Campaign link in DnDBeyond. You may roll in any form you want, even with real dice. I will work under the assumptions that you do not alter the results of any rolls I cannot immediately see. You must not use any AI to generate writing or characters. Ideally, you should not use it at all (ever). You may not use preexisting AI art for your character art. I urge you to critically assess any piece of art you use for your characters. (I will provide resources to find non-AI character art). If you use someone else’s art for your character, you must provide credits. Do not be bigoted, hateful or discriminatory in any way. Racism, Ableism, Misogyny, Queerphobia and bullying will not be tolerated. This may sound a little odd, but you must be willing to use non-conventional and/or shifting pronouns. You don’t need to be perfect, but be respectful and willing to learn. (This is also fairly important in game, since I will include genderqueer or genderneutral characters/npcs.) ERP is not allowed in the One Shots and likely won’t be allowed in the Campaign (depends largely on players). While playing, please pay attention, even if it isn’t your turn. More Info on the One Shot: The One Shot has a fairly clear storyline and isn’t set up to have too much room for improvisation as for it’s plot points. Improvisation is an aspect I want to also eventually explore, but for now this is more of a “tutorial” type experience. The various paths and options are prewritten and have a clear line of progression, although what exactly happens and what you chose to do is open! Unfortunately, I can’t let you not accept the quest I have prepared and go explore somewhere else, sorry ^^ Depending on interest, I will probably run the One Shot multiple times, and/or offer up another one if there are people that are interested in being part of a DnD group longterm. This lore of my world isn’t relevant to the One Shot, which does take place in the same world, but approximately 1600 years in the past. This is so the One Shot can already happen while I’m still putting the lore and everything else to paper! All you need to know is in the pitch; although it basically summarizes to “Every kingdom is at war, but that’s not really your problem. You just need to get by.” There is also some information about geography and the overall world on my Server. More Info on a possible Campaign: I will eventually put out some lore of my world on the Discord Server. It will include informations about pretty much everything you need to know: gods, territories, people and everything else I cook up ^^’ As I mentioned before, none of the Campaign lore/information is relevant to the One Shot(s). When it comes to the eventual Campaign, I have a few reference points and ideas what an overarching story could be, but I do also want to have a big focus on the characters in the adventuring party. So what the actual plot of the campaign will be also depends heavily on the groups wants. I am looking to write a more serious story, but there will be room for whimsy and tomfoolery. I will include more existential themes and don’t shy away from things getting dark. However, ahead of a campaign, triggers, topics to avoid and such will be discussed in depth! Once a group has emerged for a campaign, I want to hold a sort of early Session 0 where we all discuss ideas, early character concepts, opinions on possible plot arcs and I will obviously also be there to answer questions! We would probably have a second session 0 to discuss characters, backstories and such closer to when the actual campaign would start. With all this information put out there, I’m hoping the sessions can be weekly or biweekly. I know that is a fairly big commitment, but that’s also why the process before the Campaign is a little longer. I’m not just looking for future players, I’m looking for future friends! Now, onto the actual One Shot Pitch: Short Version: In a world where war rages constantly, you are just a mere commoner wanting to survive. They’re not your battles to be fought, yet in a world where the kingdoms never seizes to be at odds with one another, survival isn’t guaranteed. A local guild offers work for those considering themselves adventurers. You are hire to retrieve a family heirloom from a village that was decimated by a recent battle. While there is no eminent threat or any indications of more battles to happen there, venturing there will still be perilous. Will you find what you’re looking for? Long Version: Keocorra was once a land of peace, or so the elders teach to the youth to give them hope. They have never witnessed such an age. Even among the most long-living species, no one is alive to remember. Not even the Gods recall a time where there was peace. Perhaps it had never existed, alas the world burning was just as constant as the rise and fall of the sun. Like most of Keocorra’s people, you could not be further from the people declaring wars and sending their people to their deaths. No, you are as much of a bystander is your own world as the squirrels who bury their nuts on the battlefield and the birds endlessly fleeing from the sounds of battle. Perhaps, like them, you only wish to survive. Or perhaps you wish to help those around you; The fellow bystanders hoping not to end as collateral damage. The Plunderers Guild offers such opportunities. It is perhaps the lands first ever legal criminal organization, based on a technicality of local law no one has the time to adjust: Stealing isn’t legal in any of the kingdoms, of course. That’s clear enough, yet it doesn’t account for a technicality. While a conflict between two kingdoms is in effect, the disputed area, and wherever battles are fought, seizes to belong to anyone. You cannot steal something that doesn’t belong to anyone. “Plundering” describes the act of taking things from battlefields, yet it doesn’t actually qualify as stealing. The things you’re taking don’t legally belong to anyone. Now, it is illegal to be on these battlefields without a valid reason. Aside from being there for battle, there have never been valid reasons…until now. Timore, a kingdom towards the center of the continent, has been steadily losing land as they are fighting battles with kingdoms all around them. While treaties are being drafted, people are still losing their homes in order to have more space to battle. Under pressure from its people, the crown declared that any of its citizens may enter the battlefield if their former homes are now in the no-mans-land. This is where a very witty band of former criminals founded the Plunderer’s guild. Most common folk don’t have the courage or skill to enter the battlefield and return alive, yet, if they have the coin, they can pay someone to go in their place. The guild has strict guidelines and code of conduct, although not everyone follows those rules and how much they are enforced depends on which hub you are hired through. You are hired by the Plunderer’s Guild closest to the Eastern Border of Timore where battle rages with the Elven empire of Turve. Located in the town of Dolion, this hub of the guild is run by a Goliath know as “Ghun”. Looking for 2 more players — D&D 5e (2024), Roll20, homebrew campaign Hey! I've got 3 players and I'm looking for 2 more to round out the table. Starting level 3, milestone leveling (no XP grinding), running on Roll20. The setting is a homebrew world called Aethermoor — think gunpowder mixing with old-school fantasy, muskets next to pike formations, steam-powered dwarven forges, that kind of thing. There's a big invading empire (basically an unstoppable religious war machine) pushing into the heartlands, and your characters get pulled into it as soldiers, mercs, dissidents, whatever fits your concept — the one thing you'll have in common is you're fighting on the allied side. Fair warning, this is meant to be a long campaign, not a one-shot or a short arc. I've got a lot of it planned out already (world, factions, NPCs, the whole thing), so if you're looking for something with real worldbuilding behind it and you like a mix of combat and roleplay/political stuff, this could be a good fit. A couple of homebrew bits: there's a custom playable race (the Ashanites, the empire I mentioned — playing one means you're a defector, which is its own whole thing), a variant human feat for a mercenary culture called the Veilkin, and firearms are a real part of the setting with some house rules attached. Looking for people who can commit to regular sessions since this is going to run for a while. If that sounds like your thing, drop a message and tell me a bit about what you like to play.

The Mistra Tournament

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
I am a new DM starting out with my first campaign. I value all three pillars of D&D (Combat, Rollplay, and Exploration), where each part complements the others, with emphasis on grounded sincerity during roleplay. But I am a fan of the rule of cool. Additionally, I'm running some homebrew rules for my campaign that are a bit in-depth. Please check them out before deciding to join:  https://www.worldanvil.com/w/jordaheim-rpathos/a/rpathos-d26d-changes-article    Story: Mistra's Isle. The crossroad of the four shores. A former pirate haven turned thriving trade port and elven colony, extending the reach of an old alliance across the known world. Situated along the Gilded Road, it is both a reprieve for weary travelers and a volatile den for opportunists. Every race, every creed, and every coin eventually passes through its harbours. Every four years, the island hosts the Grand Mistra Tournament. Warriors from across the world answer the call — soldiers, sellswords, wanderers, and the quietly desperate — all flocking to compete for fame, fortune, and glory. You are one of them. Whatever your reason for being here, success hinges on more than steel and might. The arena is only part of it. Teams fight on a schedule, but the bold can challenge anyone, anytime — provided they have the nerve and the plan to come out the victor. Between fights, the city is yours. Scout your competition, court your allies, spend your winnings well, and rest when you can. The tournament rewards the prepared as much as the strong. So. Will you test your mettle in the arena? Immerse yourself in the power struggles simmering beneath the city's polished surface? Or is there some grander ambition driving you here that has nothing to do with the prize?

Throne of Solaris

The Throne of Solaris The golden spires of Hellios still catch the morning light, just as they have for a thousand years. The Sun Banner still flies above the Imperial Palace. The hymns of the Church of the Sun still rise from a hundred temples. Outwardly, the heart of the Solarian Empire beats as it always has. But the Sun-Blood no longer sits the throne. Emperor Aurelius, last living descendant of the Sun God in the direct line, lies silent in the Solar Chamber. Physicians, priests, and arcanists have come and gone. None can wake him. None can even name the strange lethargy that holds him. Until he recovers—or until the bloodline is secured—the empire cannot rule itself. The Imperial Council has therefore invoked the ancient right of Regency. Five names now stand before the empty throne, each backed by power, gold, steel, or faith: Edward, Duke of Gryphon — Master of the Merchants’ Guild and Head of the Librarium. Leontis, Viscount of Neolum — Son of the Archon and Grand Crusader of the Church of the Sun. Septimus, Prince of the Capital District — Captain of the Royal Guard. Stephan, Archduke of Ironheim — Master of the Forges and champion of the common folk. Zadakiel, Marquess of Fellgahv — Head Justiciary and Grand Master of the Order of the Black Wing Knights. Each claims the right to speak for the sleeping Emperor. Each has allies who would see their candidate elevated—and rivals who would see them fall. The court is a web of whispered deals, old grudges, and carefully measured smiles. Blood has not yet been spilled in the marble halls… but the air is thick with the promise of it. You are not the great lords. You are the ones who move between them: investigators, diplomats, agents, and observers with the skill—and the opportunity—to learn what others will not say aloud. The Council will not appoint a Regent in ignorance. Someone must cut through the intrigue, expose the truth behind each claim, and guide the choice toward stability rather than civil war. The sun still rises over Hellios. How long it continues to shine may depend on what you uncover in the shadows of its court.

Scourge of Darmagouth: Low-Fantasy Intrigue Campai

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
At the throne of the Darmian Empire strife between the heirs to the empty throne may see the provinces of the realm splitting once again into bitter war. Far in the north a peasant raises up an army and brings the tribals to heal. Far to the south whispers of the Order of Avak rising from the graves have began to spread. In the west famine sweeps across the land, and in the east a brutal storm of supernatural qualities almost akin to sentience is rising from the forests. I’m looking for 4–5 players for a modified Epic 6 campaign set in a dim, low-fantasy world. Characters will begin at level 1 and may advance as normal, but with hit point pools reduced in their growth. Magic exists, but it is unusual, mistrusted, and consequential. A person who can speak with the dead, vanish into darkness, or mend a mortal wound may become valuable, but will draw suspicion. The Basics System: D&D 5e (either version), with E6 starting at level 1 Platform: Discord for voice and rolls Time zone: 7pm EST (Any night) Party size: 4-5 players Starting level: 1 Tone: Grounded, Character-Driven, and Occasionally Chaotic Style: Exploration, difficult choices, local politics, investigation, and occasional dangerous combat Experience: ALL WELCOME if you are willing to engage The Setting The campaign takes place in the heartlands of Darmagouth, a vast expanse of light forests and rolling hills, which is filled with city states and many powerful people who want things done, and are looking for some relatively low-culpability options. Most people worry about harvests, debts, conscription, feuds, bandits, and whether the local magistrate can be bribed. Ancient ruins exist, but they are not reliable treasure vaults; they are remnants of a past no one fully understands and few are eager to disturb. You may begin as caravan guards, disgraced retainers, village scouts, debtors, minor clergy, hunters, smugglers, or people otherwise tied to a small town at the edge of a growing political crisis. What to Expect Political and intrigue elements will be meaningful: local factions, favors, shifting loyalties, secrets, and consequences. Combat is dangerous and purposeful rather than constant. Violence can solve problems, but often seeds new ones. The party will matter to the setting. Your choices may decide who holds a town, who survives a succession dispute, or what old danger is allowed back into the world. I prefer proactive characters with reasons to care about more than gold. The game will NOT be GRIMDARK, but it will take hardship, injury, poverty, and social consequences seriously. Character Guidelines Official 5e material is generally welcome along with homebrew and third-party material, and may be tweaked. No evil PCs, lone-wolf characters, or concepts that cannot cooperate with the group. Characters should have at least one tie to a faction or ideal which is present and impactful within Darmagouth: a person, place, debt, belief, faction, obligation, or unresolved past event. Build for the fiction, not for optimization. Strong characters are welcome, just the same as weaker ones; spotlight-sharing and party cohesion will matter more though. Behavior and Table Expectations This will be a generally inclusive table. Lines and Veils will be inquired on before session 0. NO sexual violence, instant ban, go kick rocks. No PvP without clear out-of-character consent between the participants which is given to the DM. Your character can be morally "so-and-so", but only within the bounds of what everyone is comfortable with, and may be reprimanded, if anyone is willing to stand up to them. Reliability, communication, and respect for everyone’s time are essential to keeping a group together. Interested? Please submit a response to the form below. I don't check my messages here often so I won't be able to get back to you directly. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScVC5KBF5BKLT2jC-TehkTZRRE25Jp2tER1zhMXNavDNCN20Q/viewform?usp=header The session 0 will be in the first week of September

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
**Journey to the lost continent - pf2e/5e exploration/guild-building/roleplay focused campaign... in an established world! Join an expedition to the new world today!** - Do you want a reliable campaign from a writer-GM with a entirely homebrew world featured in **published Steam games & a novel**, a **public wiki**, and **multiple campaigns**? Do you want to play a ttrpg besides 5e and still want meaningful stories and a good time? Do you just love magical realism in fantasy, and want a ttrpg? Inquire within! **__Game System__**: PF2E/5e dnd.  youll not see the difference dont worry if you dont know either system. **__Platform__**: Discord calls, Avrae, using Miro and 3d battlemaps as well:) **__When__**: Weekly Sundays noon-430 PM  (PST) **__Theme__**:  New world-coded.  This is my created world, but it themed similar to Ebberon.  Ever want to go on an expedition to a faraway land, or pick up leave for something new?  This is it!  Campaign is a fantasy equivalent to settling on a new planet. **__Style__**: Focus on characters and story and lore and consequences, with fewer but much more meaningful combats, so that each time they happen they are dramatic, dangerous, tactical, and always interesting! Exploration and explorable maps will be a focus THIS campaign, as will the expedition overall. The players may even start their own guild and build rapport with larger factions. I've a few campaign settings all in the same long-running with different themes (gothic vs. steampunk vs. monster hunter vs. twilight zone vs. apocalypse vs. frontier) all detailed :absolutely_kiddo: **__Length__**: With online games, it is important to have players commit to the weekly game so we can build our story and campaign together. I'm planning this campaign to be ~20 sessions, but we'll see! **__Misc__**: I am open to players new to ttrpg in general, though some roleplay/storytelling experience is definitely a part of it. I will push players to engage in roleplay, and combat will be more rare, but tactical and dynamic. If you're new to **roleplaying**, this campaign isn't for you, but I can teach the system easily :)) Group is aged 18+ and respectful of any CW as well as fully inclusive :BonesDancer: ------------------------------------------------------------ Hey gang!  We're starting a new campaign pretty soon here, and we're looking for one more player to perfectly fill that slot!  Someone around our age (20-35) and eager for the style of campaign described above:)  A journey to a new land, a forgotten, lost continent shrouded in myth, with mercenaries and raconteurs equipped with tools of artifice and black magick, alike.  Will the city stand, or will those that delve into ancient ruins in search of treasure unleash older evils?  Explore, today! I've ran many campaigns in this world and each one has at least some small throughline to every other. I do take my games and the world quite seriously and aim to create engaging narratives based around the player characters hopes and fears, and so require my player characters be tied to the world and have enough depth to support that story!  I.e. no meme characters, "edgy rogues", "that guy" players, etc. The expectation is to be present for the campaign and not miss sessions, which is for the benefit of all players. No one likes games that fall apart :sadcry:  If this sounds like the right game for you, let me know! DM me details about you (name, age, experience, passions, etc.) and any number of questions, and we can get started! I'll have quite a few questions, too.  I won't respond to low-effort replies because there's always a lot, and I won't respond in this chat, only DMs.  Hope to see you soon!

The desert of Uzikistan. The immense piece of land, covered by metallic sands dividing it into the red, black, white, golden and blue desert, it’s only vegetation scattered through the ecosystem, hidden in stone spires and caves or covered over the far forest of the gray leaves. The beasts and spirits of this continent were once wild and dangerous, when the first inhabitants arrived by boat, portal or banished through the tunnels of a long forgotten library. Those days are long gone, higher gardens, palaces, castles, fortresses and cities have risen in the middle of our blessed floor. A few generations have passed since the several houses, courts and tribes of the desert lived through the great wars of Revelation. A time when anima storms obscured the sky and paranormal mists descended upon the world, bringing the powerful Briśind, beings only comparable to spirits or gods. These whispered lies to the desert people, filled their minds with confusion and danger, made them venerate them and initiated fights between each other to steal their resources. Once, the rampant violence that painted the floor with blood and viscera from all the people in the sands birthed the greatest generations of warriors and sorcerers in the world, and it almost killed all of them, burying them in the dirt. The conflict between each seemed to be eternal. Then, Kirs the Kalaktun died. The gentle guard of refugees was missed and with them, the patience of the prince in blue went to hell. Striking the war capital of the djinns, Daan Verdammt of the first devourers forced the war chieftess of iron to surrender, joined their armies and scourged with thunder and vapor their opponents. They united 8 great tribes, houses and courts through strength and wit, then faced the Briśind, vanishing and killing most of them. Ushering a new age of peace for the desert. Their wedding, carefully weaved and planned in the Higher Buttercot Gardens, would be known as the happiest day of the desert, the final nail on the cruel age’s coffin, giving way to a new period, the age of anima flourish and gold filaments. This fateful day brought together every family and faction across the territory, founding the first kingdom of the desert and instilling a new tradition: THE BLUE GOLD SEASON!!! In honor of the magical night of newly weds and to keep the relationships in the Verdammt Kingdom peaceful between tribes and houses, a ball is to be held every 25 years. This party has all kinds of acts and events, rage as nobles in the sweet bohemian ambience of the gardens, search for your better half, or a worse one, if that’s what gives the ick. You go play with the kids, widows and generals, because this might be your new opportunity to raise your status. Just beware of dirty cheaters, this game has the highest stakes of them all and rumors run on their own, who knows what the new wedding of the current princess will entail. Welcome to the game of curses! Hi! My name is Jules. I'm a Mexican GM and I have been playing and directing games for at least 6 years. I have been playing a long term game with a very ruddimentary system I made myself. It was called Tatzelwurm, and the first itterations were really messy. Extremely messy. With time, I have experimented with different types of systems, reaching a point that I am kind of okay with. And I want to playtest it with you! It's going to be a sort of regency/GoT style game, depending on how the group wants it to go, with an approximate number of 10 sessions. Keep in mind that this is an experimental system and some things are not completely balanced. I'll be receptive and mindful of any thoughts you have on it. We'll decide on when to have a session 0 later Here are some importante links: The brief on this small campaign - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ed92uJ4urD7k0d4k39EiSh_3U5h1GNRbXLVL93Z6ui8/edit?tab=t.l5svuzizcvsk The general game doc - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ed92uJ4urD7k0d4k39EiSh_3U5h1GNRbXLVL93Z6ui8/edit?tab=t.0 The form so you can participate - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ed92uJ4urD7k0d4k39EiSh_3U5h1GNRbXLVL93Z6ui8/edit?tab=t.l5svuzizcvsk I can't wait to hear from you!

"Five years ago, a thousand ships answered Agamemnon's call and departed Greece to bring about Ilium's ruin. The greatest heroes, the mightiest weapons, and the most mythical stories are somewhere else.  You are among who remains.  I am Homer, and I will sing of you, amongst Other Names." Set in a fabled Age of Rhapsody — paying homage to the Bronze Age, Greek tragedy and comedy, and classical myth — Echoes of Fate is a homebrew Campaign Frame for Daggerheart exploring lies and prophecies, the making of myths, and what it costs to break destiny. You are not the hero the epic was written for. No prophecy names you. No Muse has claimed your story...yet. So what do you make of a life the songs haven't told yet? If you are a fan of myth retellings such as EPIC: the Musical, A Thousand Ships, The Song of Achilles, come sit by the fire. Some notes on the setting: •  The gods are present but distracted — drawing their eye may bring you greatness, or ruin. Or maybe you'll be drawn to the Mysteries instead? •  No prophecy protects you: your choices ripple outward, and could alter canon myths and even the course of the war itself. •  All stories are welcome, this table is LGBTQ+ friendly. •  New to tabletop, Daggerheart, or Greek myth? This table is beginner-friendly. And no Classics degree required, just curiosity. EU-friendly hours (evenings except weekends where I can do mornings or early afternoons) or US- friendly (late afternoons/early evening). Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly through StartPlaying.com, at 20$ per session. About me: - I've been a Dungeon Master for almost 8 years and I have plenty of experience in guiding new players. I prefer Theater of the Mind with minimal VTT support. - Your story will matter and I love a long, narrative background I can weave into the main story. - I do character voices!  - I also do character artworks :D Safety tools: Session 0, Lines and Veils, Consent checklist and X cards. I prefer to be honest in advance: Echoes of Fate draws from real life in addition to myth. Slavery was present in Ancient Greece, as was mysogyny, war and violence. You will be able to challenge these in-game through your character, or ask me to avoid mentioning them and I will do my best to do so.

🎲 LOOKING FOR D&D PLAYERS 🎲 Hey everyone! I’m looking for 2 to 6 players for a new D&D campaign set in my original world, Faendel. New players are absolutely welcome. You don’t need any experience with D&D. I’ve been a DM for 10+ years, I’ve taken 2 improv classes, and I’m also an experienced fantasy story writer. My goal is to make this fun, welcoming, and easy to get into, especially if you’ve never played before. 👥 2 to 6 players 🎲 5e based system 💻 Hosted through Discord 🗺️ Maps and visual aids 🤖 Custom bot generation for maps, character sheets, artwork and other resources we might need 📅 Saturdays or Sundays depending on everyone’s schedules ⏰ Extremely flexible scheduling 🌎 ABOUT FAENDEL Faendel is a world I’ve been building over the years through my D&D campaigns. The lore wasn’t created entirely by me. A huge part of Faendel’s history was created by the players who have participated in my campaigns. I’ve done the majority of the writing and brought everything together, but the players’ decisions, characters, actions and consequences have shaped the world itself. What your character does matters. Your choices can change characters, locations, history and even the future of the setting. Things that happen during your campaign can become permanent parts of Faendel’s lore. You aren’t just playing through a story I already wrote. You’re helping write the next part of it. 🌊 THE CAMPAIGN The campaign takes place during the Third Era of Faendel, around the years 570 to 580. Faendel is a world where the oceans have always been deadly. Something as simple as falling into the sea can mean death. Long ago, strange portals began appearing across the world, bringing people, creatures and entire civilizations from places that should never have been able to reach Faendel. Because of this, your character has a lot of freedom. You can be from Faendel, or you can come from another world entirely. Your character can be a traditional fantasy adventurer or something much more unusual. The portals have brought all kinds of people into this world. You’ll begin at your weakest point and grow from there as you explore Faendel, meet its people and discover why you ended up here. The campaign will focus on exploration, character development, player choice, combat and uncovering the secrets of the world. You don’t need to know the lore beforehand. You don’t need to know the rules. I’ll help you build your character and teach you everything as we play. 🎭 ONE SHOT OR FULL CAMPAIGN? This can start as a one shot. If everyone has fun and the party wants to continue, we can turn it into a full length campaign and keep building the story from there. There’s no pressure to commit to a huge campaign before you even know if you enjoy playing together. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 SESSION 0 IS COMPLETELY FREE Before anyone commits to anything, we’ll have a free Session 0 where we can: • Meet each other • Get to know me as the DM • Talk about what everyone wants from the game • Create characters • Go over the basics of D&D • Discuss the world and campaign lore • Talk about boundaries and themes • Figure out scheduling There is no financial requirement to play. If you enjoy the game and want to support me, tips are always appreciated and completely welcome, but they are never required. I’m currently going through some difficult financial circumstances, so any support genuinely means a lot to me. At the same time, I don’t want money to be the reason someone misses out on getting to experience D&D. If you’ve wanted to try D&D but never had a group, or you’re an experienced player looking for a new world to explore, feel free to reach out. 📩 Comment below or message me if you’re interested! Come help me add another chapter to Faendel. You never know what your character might end up becoming a part of. 🎲

About Freelancers The Osmosis Galaxy. The only one that life as we know it, inhabits. One with its own oddities, but for which we take for granted. And for the longest of time... we thought there were no frontiers left. No unexplored regions to search and traverse. Apparently, we were wrong. Even if the old Osmosis Confederation has been dissolved for four decades, it seems those who've taken from their ashes, have begun making their moves. Their rump-state successors on Mandas, the home of all of Humanity, still continues to decay silently. But after the treaty of Sorreuire, another entity sprung into action... The ASTROMINA™ Corporation, armed with many stubborn veteran fleets and soldiery from the old Confederation, turned back the Confederation's eldest adversary: The Velixian Imperium. Staking its claims of space from Samn Hocc, all the way down to Vispensis and Octora. It may be small, but these systems and worlds, were once the heart of the Confederation's economy. With this new-found productivity and economy, their leadership turned to governing their taken spoils. But one of them, unknown to all but his representative to the Board of Directors, has other plans. He recently began hiring mercenaries, laid-off veterans, and many other people. As personal soldiers of his. Mercenaries, whom eithere were trained, or went through training, to become on the level of spec-ops units. All apart of a project he called the "Freelancers Program". Although they're tasked with missions, meant for in-general espionage, targeted sabotage, and mission-assistance to the corporation's Corporate Armed Forces, this unknown ringleader had another idea in mind. Unbeknownst to others, he sent a special contingent of them to the Sardia system. The closest to the galaxy's resident anomaly: The Photonic Curtain. A ring of pure photons, a curtain of light that interrupted the FTL systems of anyone who came even 100's of Astrons to its outer edge. Under the pretense of eliminating resistance from the galactic fringe-dregs known as the Pioneers, this special Freelancers contingent makes it way to the Sardia system. Supported by a small Corporate Naval escort. While they make for the surface of worlds like the swamp-world Coscia, this unknown head of state, plans to move them past the Photonic Curtain. Even if means he'll have to brute force the crossing, past the blinding lights that make up the curtain. As for you, those of the newest batch of Team Theta? You'll simply have to endure on Coscia. Whatever that entails, you have a mission to do. Best get to it. What you'll find in Freelancers a. An entirely unique and interesting world, complete with a full homebrew system that plays into the "Mercenary/Spec-Ops" gameplay of the setting. b. Lots of choices to make, and room to travel to unknown and previously unexplored systems and worlds. Beyond the outer shell of the "Photonic Curtain" c. NPCs that become your "Companions"; Those that'll join you in your missions, and fight alongside you. As well as having relational dispositions towards you and others, that you may influence and later find out about. d. Even as a Freelancer, your backstory and legacy impacts the lore of the world. e. Though serious enough, there are still light-hearted moments that may appear to cheer you up or give you a decent chuckle f. And a lot more for you to find out about! Does any of this, or all of it, sound excellent to you? I hope so! DM me if you are, and if you can, include any further questions you may have about the roleplay. I hope to see you soon, Freelancer!

PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's few enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's tend to react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. With Iron Gods you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear). We currently have a single male skinwalker crocodile melee Fighter, a female tiefling Wizard, a female aasimar Cleric, a female storm changeling Gunslinger, a female unchained sylph Rogue. They just had their first session, got a lot of gold and masterwork weapons, picked up some rumors, got a quest. 8/14 Don't do anything that imposes mental conditions in Iron Gods, lots of robots, undead. I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters, but played by players of either biological sex. Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves, Drow, Trollans (based on orko from masters of the universe), Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Gunslingers, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result, since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are playing Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome. I won't run Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown, Giantslayer since I already did them.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role.  These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very culture centric, but there are rare outside examples), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  listen, I have some rules for players. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

🎲 Looking for Players — Endrazla: The Tower System: D&D 5e Setting: Homebrew / Dark Fantasy / Weird Fantasy Format: Online Looking for: Players who enjoy roleplay, exploration, strange worlds, and actually getting invested in their characters. Endrazla is a massive afterlife known as the Tower. Every floor is its own world, with its own rules, cultures, dangers, and mysteries. The further you climb, the less certain it becomes what the Tower actually is—or what awaits at the top. The campaign mixes Elden Ring-style mystery and atmosphere, Tower of God-style exploration and progression, and classic D&D adventuring, with plenty of room for character-driven moments and absolutely stupid decisions. One of the most important places in the setting is the Tavern of Anxiety, a strange sanctuary between worlds where adventurers, dead gods, monsters, travelers, and other questionable individuals come to drink, argue, make deals, and occasionally save reality. I'm looking for players who want to build characters that actually belong in the world, rather than just showing up to roll dice. Your character doesn't need to be heroic—just interesting. I'm also a very improv-heavy DM. Endrazla is entirely my own setting, so I'm much more interested in creating a good story and rolling with what the players do than stopping the game every five minutes to argue over a rule. The rules are there to help us have fun, not the other way around. If you come up with something cool that makes sense for your character, I'm usually going to find a way to make it work. If you're into: - 🗺️ Exploring bizarre original worlds - ⚔️ D&D combat that actually matters - 🎭 Character-driven roleplay - 🧩 Mysteries and lore - 🍻 Tavern shenanigans - 💀 Dark fantasy without taking itself too seriously - 🤝 A group that wants to actually become a party I'd love to hear from you. I'm especially interested in players who are willing to help build the story alongside the DM rather than expecting a completely pre-written railroad. Welcome to Endrazla. The Tower is waiting.

SCP - Hardcore - Containment Breach

Homebrew Homebrew
Playtest Playtest
[5e 2014] Online SCP - Hardcore -Containment Breach ime: Thursday - 5 pm PTD (My time) CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW: SITE-01 BREACH FACILITY BRIEFING — RESTRICTED ACCESS (CLEARANCE LEVEL 0+) > LOCATION: Site-01 "The Citadel" (Subterranean Super-Site) CURRENT STATUS: CRITICAL SYSTEM FAILURE / TOTAL CONTAINMENT BREACH The Setup For decades, the Foundation kept anomalies separated across the globe to prevent catastrophic chain reactions. Site-01 changed everything. Built miles beneath the earth in an isolated sector, it was engineered as the ultimate containment facility—a massive, automated mega-complex designed to house every documented anomaly, object, and entity in existence under one roof. It was supposed to be impossible to break. An hour ago, the impossible happened. A site-wide cascading power failure knocked out the main grid, neutralized the Scranton Reality Anchors, and blew the blast doors across every sector. From Safe-class holding blocks to the deepest Keter vaults, thousands of entities are now roaming the pitch-black, corrupted corridors. The Situation Whether you are a D-Class subject looking for a chance at freedom, an MTF Operative separated from your squad in the initial drop, or a Foundation Researcher armed with high-level access and classified knowledge, you cannot survive this alone. The Citadel's automated safety systems have initiated a Phase-4 Site Purge. A countdown timer has started: when it hits zero, the facility's nuclear warheads will detonate to prevent a world-ending event. Your Directives Survive and Escape: Traverse damaged containment sectors, malfunctioning security gates, and warped spatial zones to reach the surface before the nuclear countdown expires. Contain the Threat: The outside world has no defense against what is crawling out of Site-01. As you fight your way to the surface, you must use your environment, paratechnology, and tactical wits to lock down, re-contain, or terminate as many escaping entities as you can. "We secure. We contain. We protect. Today... we survive." /////////////////////////// Core Hardcore Mechanics Roll for Stats Individually: Ability scores are generated by rolling in order (e.g., Strength through Charisma) with no rearranging. You play the hand you are dealt. Randomized Race: Your race is determined by a random roll. Raw Hit Points: You always roll for your hit points when leveling up Tactical Fumbles: Rolling a Natural 1 on an attack or check results in a tactical consequence (e.g., your weapon jams, you drop an item, or you provoke an opportunity attack), rather than just a simple miss. Lingering Injuries: Dropping to 0 hit points results in a roll on the Lingering Injuries table, causing long-term physical trauma that requires specialized medical care or paratechnology to heal. Site-01 Survival Mechanics Safe Haven Resting: The facility is actively hostile. You can only take a Short Rest in cleared rooms. A Long Rest can only be taken inside designated, sealed "Safe Havens" (such as intact monitoring bunkers or active Scranton Reality Anchor zones). Stress & Sanity: Encountering Keter-class entities or witnessing horrific events adds a point of Stress. Reaching 5 Stress points forces a roll on the Paranoia/Panic Table, resulting in temporary behavioral consequences. System Shock: Anomalous damage is devastating. If you take damage from a single attack equal to or greater than half your maximum hit points, you must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or fall Prone and become Stunned until the end of your next turn. (Side not only classes available are hombrew ones I made for this world) I am fixing ans making updates to the world and mechanics so expect changes as we go.

Playtesting a fantasy tabletop system

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
TALES From the Loom is a system I've been working on for a few years. The setting is high fantasy with some sci-fi elements sprinkled in. I run free playtesting sessions for groups ranging from 2-6 players, typically for 2-3 hours. The game is pretty quick to learn, promise! Sessions are first come first serve and generally scheduled 1 week ahead of time. Joining the campaign here will let me know you'd like in and I'll send you a DM with some more information! If you enjoy games like: Ironsworn, D&D, Mausritter, Daggerheart or Dragonbane, you may find TFTL compelling! Hope to see you at the table soon! Heres a brief explanation of the core of the system and how it functions: Every roll in TALES is made with a dice pool of D6’s, the number of dice in the pool is noted by the number before the letter “D” e.g., 3D=3d6 You'll roll a pool of dice equal to a skill, and count how many dice show a 4 or higher in most cases. Disadvantage and advantage are represented by lowering or raising the number that counts as a success, either 3 ups or 5 ups. This is heroic fantasy, there's magic, capable heros and in general, good triumphs over evil. Though I will caveat this by saying tftl is much more lethal than other heroic fantasy games, most starting characters have about 2-5 Wounds (hit points or health) and in general most basic attacks inflict 1 Wound, when things go wrong in a fight, they go wrong very fast, for either party, what decides who lives and who doesnt is the dice and your own buy in to the fiction. TFTL rewards player engagment and invenstment in their characters inner life, there are a few systems that support this: -The narrative bonus is a +1 dice to +3 dice bonus that the GM awards you for engaging with the fiction, using clever tactics, and roleplaying your character honestly. You get it by describing actions, using your  characters personality, and backstory in roleplay, and through situational advantages like having the high ground. The reflections system is a journaling mechanic that rewards players for putting themselves in their characters head. After a session, during downtime in game, or whenever the urge arises, you roll on a prompt table and answer the prompt from your characters perspective. Then once you show the GM you get a +1 Dice bonus to any roll outside of combat in the next session. Exploration is a two sided mechanic, first you gather "discovery threads" in town, gathering rumors, studying old texts and maps or bribing locals for information about your current area. When your party ventures into unknown wilds, you can spend your gathered threads to make finding landmarks and mysteries easier, and the best part? You can level up by engaging with this mechanic, without ever drawing a blade or casting a spell. Theres a reputation system, crafting, lightning fast gridless combat, and more to explore within TALES From the Loom! So I hope you'll sign on for a free game, and come tell a tale or two at my table.

AMERICA HAS FALLEN. THE WASTES AWAIT. The year is 2024. The world ended in a matter of weeks. First came the undead pouring out of Eastern Europe. Then came Operation PEACE—a brutal, systemic plot by global powers to betray, enslave, and exterminate the world's demi-human population. As the military turned on its own demi-human soldiers, lines folded, and America crumbled. On July 4th, 2023, Washington, D.C. was reduced to rubble. Now, in the zombie-infested marshlands of Atlantasia County, Louisiana, the survivors fight for what's left. Which side will you choose? THE FACTIONS The Peacekeepers: A brutal right-wing military junta claiming to be the true heirs to the U.S. They enforce a regime of hatred, killing or enslaving all demi-humans on sight. The NAA (New American Union): A fragile wartime coalition of rebels, centrists, and anarchists fighting a total war for freedom against the Peacekeepers. Peacekeeper Reformists: A heavily armed splinter group that rejects the bigotry, believing America can only be reborn through the unification of all survivors—by diplomacy or dominion. Aculon: An authoritarian coastal empire that believes the American identity is dead and buried, aiming to build something entirely new. The Raiders: Lawless, selfish bands plundering the wastes. BRUTAL SOULS-LIKE SURVIVAL Actions have permanent consequences here. We feature a high-stakes death mechanic: 1st Death: A freebie. A narrow escape, a heavy scar, and a lesson learned. 2nd Death: PERMADEATH. If you fall again, your character is gone for good. Choose your battles wisely. WHAT WE OFFER Complete Character Freedom: Play as a human survivor or any type of anthro demi-human you can imagine. Fair & Balanced Gameplay: To keep things fair for everyone, demi-human status is purely cosmetic and roleplay-focused—there are no mechanical buffs. Active, Dedicated GMs: Our team is constantly brewing up new enemies, fresh narrative storylines, and custom equipment/loot to discover. Combat to Cozy: Balance brutal zombie survival and political war with deep slice-of-life roleplay. Build up your camp, form bonds, start romances, and find moments of peace amidst the chaos. Text-Based RP & Sessions: A welcoming text-RP community with organized homebrew TTRPG mechanics. MATURE CONTENT WARNING (18+) This is a STRICTLY 18+ SERVER. Because of the dark, gritty nature of the wasteland, our roleplay features heavy, mature themes. This includes violence, gore, dark lore, and erotic subjects/sexual content (ERP). Age-gating/verification may apply upon entry. Interested in surviving the wastes? Jo

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Emberfell — Homebrew D&D 5e Campaign (Roll20, Level 3 Start)System: D&D 5e. Platform: Roll20, with a potential switch to Foundry VTT as sessions progress - voice via Discord. Format: Long-term homebrew campaign, multi-arc. Starting Level: 3 Players Needed: Additional 3 to 4 players. Currently have 1. Beginner-Friendly, no 5e experience required - those with experience will be prioritized. Schedule: Sundays, Weekly/bi-weekly - exact 2/3hr slot to be agreed with the group in advance, weekly, between the hours of 3pm and 9pm. The Pitch: Emberfell is a world that broke and never fully recovered - the sun's been dim since a calamity nobody can fully explain, and nobody living remembers it any other way. You'll start as a hired escort for a noble house's cargo, but a theft in a back alley on your first night out is going to pull you into something much bigger: an exiled angel bargaining with demons, a game piece that shouldn't be as powerful as it is, and a child who isn't supposed to still be alive. Tone: Tone is dark, but not grim-dark - morally grey NPC's, Real consequences, some geniune horror beats, but plenty of room for humor & for player-driven stories to unfold at the (virtual) table. Session 0 covers safety tools, such as safe words, topics a player wouldn't want within the campaign & tone expectations before we start. Looking for: Players who actually want to engage with the plot, NPC's & roleplays. Someone who will show up consistently, and is fine with a slower-burn mystery campaign, rather than pure dungeon crawling. New to 5e format is fine, as long as you actually want to roleplay. Drop a comment or DM if interested - Discord is attached. Add me or shoot me a message, and I'll send over some in-game lore so you can get a feel for the world, followed by a character creation guide (races, tone, what fits the setting) to get your character sorted. Once everyone's set, we'll run an online Session 0 as a group - safety tools, expectations, and a chance to actually meet each other before anything's played out. From there, each of you gets a quick one-to-one Session 0.5: a short solo scene built around your character's own backstory, no other players involved. Session 1 is where the party's characters actually meet each other for the first time. Thanks!!

Long before the rise of Megatron, Cybertron was already a world on the brink of collapse. Its people were divided by an unforgiving caste system, one that determined a Cybertronian's purpose from the moment they came online. At the top stood the privileged elite—administrators, scientists, military commanders, and nobles—constructed for positions of influence and authority. Beneath them labored countless worker drones, miners, laborers, and industrial bots, engineered to perform the endless, thankless tasks that kept Cybertron alive. To those born into the lower castes, freedom was nothing more than a myth. Many spent their entire existence toiling in the depths of Energon mines, assembly foundries, and toxic industrial sectors, their sparks treated as expendable resources. Those deemed unfortunate enough were dragged from the mines and forced into gladiatorial arenas, where they fought to the death for the amusement of Cybertron's ruling class. Overseeing this oppressive society were the Quintessons and the Primes they installed to maintain order. They upheld the illusion of peace while ensuring the hierarchy remained unchallenged. For millions of stellar cycles, dissent was crushed before it could become revolution. But oppression inevitably breeds rebellion. Eventually, a miner named Megatronus rose from the depths. Once an ordinary labor drone who knew only hardship and injustice, he became the voice of the forgotten. His dream began as one of equality—a Cybertron where every bot, regardless of function or origin, could choose their own destiny. Yet power has a way of corrupting even the noblest ideals. As the revolution grew, Megatron abandoned the principles that had inspired it. What began as liberation became conquest, and the freedom he promised was replaced with fear, domination, and endless war. Now, none of that history can be changed. You were forged into the consequences of those choices. Cybertron burns beneath the weight of a conflict that has consumed generations. Cities lie in ruin, Energon grows scarce, and every spark is forced to choose a side—or struggle to survive between them. This is no longer the story of how the war began. This is the story of those who must endure it. Welcome to the War for Cybertron.

Welcome to ODIN, the Order of Dimensional Intelligence and Neutralization. You are a Judicar, an elite field agent assigned to a special team known as a Vanguard. Your missions will take you across the last surviving planet in the universe, where you will investigate, document, contain, or neutralize dangerous anomalies. How you handle each anomaly is entirely up to you. Study it. Negotiate with it. Contain it. Destroy it. Taste it to see if it has a chocolate flavor. Accidentally make everything worse. ODIN trusts your judgment. Usually. Think the SCP universe meets D&D 5e, with fantasy, science fiction, eldritch horror, firearms, strange investigations, and occasional chaos. ALSO: You have a plant scorpion turtle cat as your companion. So you know the level of weird you can expect. Session Details: Beginner friendly Biweekly on Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern Time Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per session Discord for voice Foundry VTT for maps, combat, and gameplay Approximately 60% roleplay and 40% combat POC and LGBTQ+ friendly English will be used during the game, but banter in other languages is welcome. Players must be 25 or older because of the mature themes. But happy for someone to join who is 21+ so long as they are aware of the themes and ideas. Genres include fantasy, science fiction, horror (eldritch and cosmic - so consider that a warning), comedy Campaign requirements (the boring, but vital stuff): Be friendly, reliable, and invested in the campaign and its story. Respect everyone at the table. Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or privately messaging other players without their permission will not be tolerated. There will be no second chances for serious violations. Campaign features (the fun stuff): You can create almost any kind of character. A vampire elf? A werewolf artificer? A gun-toting raccoon with unresolved emotional problems (essentially Rocket Raccoon). Yes, you can. Just discuss your concept with me first so I can approve it (and it doesn't read like a God/Super Saiyan character). There are guns. Pistols, revolvers, sniper rifles. Plasma gun. Also, gun modifications. Hey, it's the future. Classes and subclasses? Sheeeee. There's a lot of them (Mystic is already taken though).

You and other people got locked up for a crime (that you may or not have commited). Recently a new method of punishment was put on practice where prisoners who had some potential go do quests and things that would be to dangerous to risk precious knight lifes, so instead, prisoner scum like YOU gets sent to do those dangerous mission. Best case the problem gets solved and you can be ready to  solve other things, worst case you die, but its not like your life matters rigth? Of course you will not be be doing this without payment, however your payment does not need to be gold or silver, you can instead request that your sentence be reduced from a couple months to even some years. You can decide to follow the rules and comply like an obedient dog or you can rebel and(maybe)suffer the consequences. We ABSOLUTELY accept new people, will love to teach you(im not omniscient though). We will be using Discord VC for calls, and Owlbear rodeo as VTT(Virtual TableTop), you can do your characters sheets wherever you like. I am COMPLETELY AGAINST AI, do not come at me with AI generated characters, if you need an image for your character use heroforge or draw it by hand, I dont care, just DONT USE AI! Interested people fill out this forms:https://forms.gle/9xg3nhr5ShsgWiTy5 The day CANNOT be changed, the hour however may be up to debate:)

Then $15/session This campaign involves dark themes such as death, suicide, violence, and is only suitable for adults. ------------------------ "T-thank you —" Their grateful purple eyes stare at you. You stare back as you rest your sword at the demon's neck. Their tar-dark blood runs from their wound, down the blade. "For saving my beloved… and for saving me—" You wear their beloved's body. You fought them using their beloved's body. And now you catch them as they fall. The horns vanish, the purple drains from their eyes, and on your blade, the blood now runs red. "Use my body… to save the others… Farewell…" You leave the body of their beloved, a level 4 barbarian. You enter the new body, a level 5 fighter. Both souls have departed for a better place. Both bodies are now your vessels. Demon by demon. Vessel by vessel. Until you liberate the Demon King himself.

I am looking for Players who enjoy a game were what you do on the way to the dungeon is as important as what you do in the dungeon. You might meet some Woodelf hunters on the way who offer trade, ask for supplies, seek aid or pick up a rumor. Characters can trade in vast markets and with the right reputation or a strong skill in bartering may come out a head. Intrigue can be heavy or light depending on the players stategy and the choices they make. The world is not balanced to the players you my fight a group of goblins or run from a powerful elemental the choice is yours. Characters can become involved in local politics with the thought of becoming more or may just want to be an alchemist studying the herbal trade. There are many classes, races and careers open to the characters. Magic be it conjuration, spiritual, divine, demononic, necrotic, naturalism or achane is developed by the character. The path that they move into, the creaton of there personal spells and the ability to hold rituals after achieving enough peraonal power is your desicion to make. The are many options to magic beyond the norm. dwarven rune casters, shaman Ki masters with abilities beyond what is in most systems. Combat and personal arms is treated in the same way warriors choose there weapons and armor styles and can train to become masters with these chosen fighting styles. Its up to you to decide where you go. We play over Discord. If you are interested in something different, where roleplaying is as important as the stats your character has give me a reply. The era of mortals is coming to a close. Time, once a flowing and vast fact of life, is being eaten away by a divine stasis known as The Fog. More than half of the planet and its people have been swallowed by it now, leaving a sparse few beacons of light in the ever growing darkness. Our story begins in the 11th month of the year 3046PS, roughly 60 years after the first sightings of The Fog, as one of the final refugee ships from the west dock in the port city of Punto de Partida. Snow falls upon our fated party as they’re engulfed by the anxious city and its people, having only themselves to fend for against a world nearly frozen. You, dear survivor, live while the timer of the end ticks down. What will you do in the final years of mortals? Will you spend them ignoring the inevitable and indulging in what little comforts are left, or will despair halt you even before stasis arrives? Or maybe you have hope of a miracle, be it from the gods or crafted by your own hands. Just how much, I wonder, would you be willing to lose to save the world? [This campaign is set to be a long-term, slowburn story focused on character development and roleplay. Much of its world, people and cultures are open for players to imagine and make their own, making it perfect for players who love world building and crafting intricate backstories. The story will cover many of the expected topics for a pre/mid apocalyptic setting, as well as heavy themes such as classism, genocide, xenophobia and racisim/speciesism. Other sensitive topics may be covered barring any content that players can choose to veto; my goal as a DM is to make an immersive and realistic world while showing utmost respect to my players while doing so. This campaign will be offline only and is planned to be held at a game store in los angeles, and I’m looking to hold it Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights with times between 4pm-9pm.]

REQUIREMENTS - Discord and working mic - https://roll20.net/ account - https://adndtoolkit.com/ account - $10/player/session DESCRIPTION Karmont is a small, frontier kingdom nestled among a series of mountain ranges near the coast of a largely unexplored continent.  The namesake capitol is cradled in the tallest peaks, far to the north.  Beyond the mountains are desolate lands, ruled by all matter of foul creatures.  Tantalized by the hopeful promise of treasure hordes and riches uncounted, adventurous types have been settling the coastal side of the mountains for decades now and continue to push northward. Hey my names Jack and i have been a DM for a long time. Being a Dungeon Master is fun, but of course as a DM you also want to be the Player yourself in some Campaigns. This is what this game is for. I am looking for 1 other DM who would like to take part in a Round Robin style of Game with the rest of the existing group. Round Robin is where each Player gets a Turn to be the DM. 1 Person DM's a Story arc or Oneshot dependent on how they feel and then the next Person takes over and the Person who DM'd gets to play his Character. For this game i will be using Discord as Voice and VTT Foundry as the tabletop. a Webcam is not required. We are strictly against AI Art and want no use of it in our games. We are also supportive of LGBTQ, if you do have problems with either of these things dont even bother messaging me. Requirements: 18+ Years of Age Fluent in English Time once per Week for a 4~ Hour Session Saturday 20:00 GMT+2 A Good Microphone (with no Interruptions in the Background) The game will take place in European timezone and we cannot change this.

MOONLIGHTERS: Adventures After Dark!

The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! More here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmq7tyim4007bjs04bh2hluyy?q=moonlighters  Each of the player characters will have a day job, which will be narratively incorporated into the story. If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. Alternatively, you can message me if you would rather pay another way.

Monday – Saturday, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)

Welcome to the lands of terror, traveler. Welcome, to place of shadows and pain. Welcome, to Barovia. This is the place under consistent terror of it's once hero, now — executioner of his own lands and people. In this short adventure we're gonna investigate mystery around unknown house in Daggergort, where starts our adventure. Prepare yourself to heavy rollplay campaingh with great foes and hope within the Mist. Gonna be happy to see you! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I’m a game master with several years of experience. I have about half a dozen campaigns that are either finished or currently in progress. I’ve taken on roles ranging from the majestic tyrant Strad von Zarovich to the noble and cold-blooded Camarilla bloodline member to the ruthless cutthroat of the streets of Duskvol, while at the same time standing by your side as Irina Kolianovna, your gray, or your sniper ally in the House of Raven’s Cross. I have many faces, many names, as you may have realized, but the essence is the same — I adore each of my roles just as much as I adore each of yours. It is in the game, in the combination of my play and yours, that true Greatness will emerge. And believe me, it awaits us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, let me tell about me a few words, dear traveler. As I have just said, I've GM-ing for a few years. Six, to be clear. In my games you can expect a lot of roleplaying, deep lore(Espetially in Curse of Strahd and Old Barovia), breathtaking plot twists and great strory, that we're gonna make together. You can easily count on me in mechanical aspect of game. Be shure, that our VTT gonna be quite automated and I'll give as much immersion, as I possibly can. Platform: Discord+Foundry VTT Price: 20$ Questions? Feel free to send me a DM. I'm always happy to chat about the campaigns, answer questions. "For as long as anyone can remember, humanity has lived among the clouds." The world is a sea of endless blue skies, where great floating Sanctums drift upon unseen currents. Some are bustling kingdoms with towering cities and fertile fields. Others are little more than lonely rocks suspended above an endless abyss. Trade, diplomacy, and survival depend on airships. Every day, captains brave violent squalls, hungry sky beasts, and ruthless pirates to keep the Sanctums connected. Entire fortunes are won or lost on the strength of a crew and the reliability of their vessel. Beneath the Sanctums churns The Veil—an eternal storm said to swallow anything foolish enough to descend into it. Lightning without end. Black clouds deeper than any ocean. Every child grows up hearing the same warning: "Nothing lies beneath the Veil but death." No one questions it. The First Builders, the mysterious civilization that raised the Sanctums into the heavens, vanished long ago. Their impossible machines still hum beneath every island, keeping the world aloft, but their knowledge has faded into myth. Their ruins dot the Sanctums, waiting for those brave—or desperate—enough to explore them. You are not heroes. Not yet. You're simply people looking for your next opportunity. Whether you're chasing coin, escaping your past, seeking adventure, or just trying to make a living among the clouds... Everything begins with a simple job.

Howzits, I’m looking for anyone who wants to partake in a character-focused campaign. There are currently three players, and we still DM. For the setting of the campaign, mainly we're looking for a more vibrant setting that should allow any sort of character to partake; for example, my character, a half-elf wizard, is an amateur archaeologist who wants to open his own museum someday. Another prerequisite for the campaign, ideally, is to avoid common tropes I see, such as stopping an undead army or a god has turned evil and must fall. Though it is fun to play as god killers, sometimes it’s also nice to play as a simple band of adventurers that doesn’t over the local government As for scheduling, the current timetable is that Wednesdays are open, and ideally I would like games to start at 11 am EST (Eastern Standard Time) as the other player I’m with is Six hours ahead of me. If all that sounds good and you think you’ll make a good addition to the group, contact me through my discord so that we can have a better chat. My Discord username is HyperHotrod058

Ever wanted to experience what it might have been like to be a soldier during World War II? If your answer is yes... I may question your sanity a little, I lie I meant alot, but you are in luck as that is what I am offering. This campaign will follow the war from its opening battles in Poland in 1939 all the way to the desperate final defense of the so called "Thousand-Year Reich" in 1945.  The campaign begins with a one shot to let you get to know each other before being thrown into combat against the German war machine and maybe dying, maybe. Will be using roll20 for easier time keeping track of combat and discord so have a mic that wasn't invented in the 50s please lol.  Warning this campaign will take some liberties to make it for better in a campaign setting. So some alt history will happen but main battles such as Stalingrad or Dday will still happened. Due note death is a very real possibility even during early sessions, this is a war after all with guns, bombs and such.

A ragtag band of locals find themselves embroiled in a strange adventure involving an unhinged warforged, a psychotic docent, and a plot seemingly involving a nefarious branch of House Cannith. One of those you've been roped in with attached the docent to himself and now hears voices, but has started displaying extra abilities. Your mentor, the unhinged warforged named Trace 7, has disappeared, but she left you with a mission to find a way into a secret facility in the underbelly of Sharn to discover the secrets of this organization. Can you find your way in and discover what House Cannith is up to? This game uses the Pathfinder for Savage Worlds Ruleset and Kristian Serrano's Eberron for Savage Worlds adaptation hosted on the Fantasy Grounds VTT, which is now free to play. All resources will be supplied upon acceptance. This is an ongoing campaign with five players currently. I'll accept up to one more. We play on the last Sunday of the month at 18:00 Eastern Time (Currently UTC-4).

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused

For a millennia, the Dragonborn have toiled as mere cogs in an uncaring machine. Whether under their creators in the Hydra or under the Dragons who came to inherit their world-spanning Empire. Gods, old and new tolerated this mortal dynamic of slave and master, of second-class citizens at best. Never has a Dragonborn ruled as their own. Never, before the King of Maeve was felled by one. The Morning Revolution has finally swept over the Kingdom of Maeve in its entirety, with a Dragonborn-led provisional government quickly being formulated in its wake. Though the Revolution has been won, what comes after still lies in heavy contention, as factions who once had united over the Royalist threat now stand divided over faith, ideology and purpose. Should a new monarchy be instated, or would a Republic serve the people better? Should Dragons retain their noble privileges to appease the realm’s external enemies, or should they be punished for their centuries of oppression? These questions and more will have to be answered as representatives from all seven of the realm’s provinces convene in the capital of Elira to create a new constitution and draw up the future of Maeve. Or it’s doom… _ Maeve: Of Delegates and Dragons Fire is a political intrigue DnD 5.5E campaign set in the world of Ruel, dominated by Dragons and now in seeming competition with the Dragonborn. Barely a month has passed since the death of King Nyrent Cagan and the declaration of the Provisional Government, yet forces internal and external have already begun to chip away at its foundation. You are a Dragonborn and a delegate of the Maevan Plenary, the Provisional Government’s legislative wing. Having participated in the Morning Revolution, you are about to arrive on the outskirts of the capital with five other fellows you’ve formed a deep friendship with in the fires of the conflict. The days ahead will be as difficult as they are dangerous, as you’ll need to push your agenda in the Plenary. Traveling across the realm in-between Plenary sessions to advocate for your position, manage political and economic crises as well as to prepare the already ravaged country for the possibility of an even greater war on its doorstep. If you enjoy the idea of nation building and politics in an active world that responds to your actions, this is the game for you. Be prepared for potentially heavy topics such as oppression, repression, and all the other woes that come with statecraft. Not all player characters might be aligned on a given topic, being traditionalists, liberals, magocrats or anything else. The entire party however will have the collective goal of retaining Maeve’s continuity and independence. Technologically, the setting fits 15th century Western Europe. A bit about the game and logistical side of things: _ **System:** DnD 5.5e **Platform:** Discord for Voice, FoundryVTT for Battlemaps, Character Sheets and so on **Starting Level:** 3, Milestone Leveling **Schedule:** Weekly, Thursdays nights starting at 7:30 PM EST and usually going on until 10 - 11 PM EST **Age:** 18+ only! Ideally someone who is in the age range of 20-30 or so, as that's about the range of everyone at the table currently **Vibe:** A serious & mature game with a lot of roleplay, though we like to keep a rather fun and friendly OOC atmosphere at the table. **Party:** Currently we have 4 other players and one other who will only be there on occasion. The party comp consists of a Monk, Warlock, Cleric, Bard and Paladin. We are currently searching for one other player or at most, two. _ What I'm looking for in a player: * Someone who fits the vibe as stated above, who is an avid note-taker. * Someone who wants to make a character and get engrossed with them, who will remember the names of the NPCs from their tragic backstory as I incorporate said backstories into the game itself. * Someone who's experienced with 5e and / or with 5.5e. * Someone with a good quality mic (bonus for knowledge of how to use Foundry but not required). * Someone who is able to separate the character from the player / GM. Everyone at the table are friends, even if you might clash in-game. * Be open to homebrew! I do a lot of homebrew on my end, from making custom magic items and skills for my players to whole new monster stat blocks and other mechanics, I'm a big fan of adding on to a system. You can find the application form in the following link: https://forms.gle/dm3i8X6fk9v9yMeq7

LGBTQ+ Friendly! Welcome everyone! My name is Love. Me and my friend Catie are looking to start up a mini-campaign, we've found 2 lovely people, so we're on the hunt for 2 more players to join us! If this post is still up we're still looking for good folks :) I've introduced a lot of people to the game so I think I'm in a good posi-sh to help anybody learn, my patience is boundless I promise. Eye of the Dunes: A rumor glides on the wind throughout Faerun, from the high courts to the damp alleyways. Kings and orphans alike whisper of the Eye of the Dunes, a wondrous mote of magic said to be able to grant its claimant any wish they desire. It lies sleeping somewhere deep, deep in the deserts of Calimshan, untouched under centuries of blowing winds, for we would surely know if someone had found it. You have banded together with a few other adventurers to brave the sands, an uneasy alliance at best, as in the end only one of you can wield the Eye. There's a lead in the capital city of Calimport, a café owner claims to know something the general populace doesn't, so you've set sail on an overcrowded galleon. You are not the first to try, but perhaps you will be the last.     We play on Foundry (veeery fancy) in a discord call     The campaign is set at a higher level, 8-10, and will last 3-5 session     We'd prefer players around our own age (20 - 34)     We love messing around and making jokes, but we do try to actually tell a story and often roleplay seriously with emotion. I try to be descriptive!     I am from Sweden and my friend is Australian (though a real night-owl), so we can't really play after 19:00 GMT+2     I won't tolerate NASTY behavior, you know, let's have a Good Time, Owl City & Carly Rae Jepson-style     No AI, come on, what are we doing here? About you: Please send us a message telling us about yourself! Stuff like where you're from, what kind of person you'd describe yourself as, your hobbies and so on. To make sure we don't invite EVIL people we need to know who you are, so share as much as you feel comfortable with. Trust me we'll read every word! We'd love to stay in touch and play games once the campaign is done, but no pressure! Thank you for reading, hope to hear from you :) (P.S: happy to share stuff about ourselves too if you have questions!)

This campaign is exploring the magic in politics behind dragons when they are the majority. Ancient history revolving around dragons why some retained sentience and others become wild beasts. While others use their magical and biological material to enhance themselves. The gods are here but they're insignificant for some odd reason.

Looking for a DM and a group to play with!

I'm usually the forever DM but I have been in a slump recently and I know that what I need to get out of it is to go back to my roots and be a player. I'm looking for a group of 3 to 4 other players and a DM to play with me and I'd love to make some new friends aswell. I would love a campaign with a good balance of combat and roleplay but I also want roleplay to be an aspect in combat. I can work with essentially any genre (EX: Horror, high fantasy, political intrigue)

The internet can be a dark place for players. Finding a group to play with it hard. Maybe they do not accept the player for who they are. Perhaps it is run by tyrants. Maybe against all odds the player found a diamond in the rough. Then discovered it has more rules than 5e does. The grind has taken over through countless downtime activities. We know why players come here. They had some great character idea, but kept getting told no. That is not approved content or some such thing is banned. Welcome to Osiria. A place players can call home (private channels). Where all players are treated like adults and are expected to act as such (18+). We accept all players for who they are (LGBTQ+). There are no character slots. Our rules are as simple as possible because WoTC has created enough. All content on dndbeyond is approved and available (really!). Staff is friendly, active and helpful. We operate like an open world campaign. There is the opportunity to join official one shots ran by our GM's or you can explore it yourself (self-gm). Players can progress at their own pace. One-shots will have an appropriate level range and will offer milestone level(s). Players can also self level every other Friday. Not a West March or Living World. We are building a homebrew world for our smallish group to play in. We are essentially a large open world campaign. We are looking for game master's (gm) or those who wish to learn. You will not spend the majority of your time as a gm unless you want to. We do allow players between sessions to self-gm. We are looking for players who want to be part of this world we are building too! We do want it to come to life and for that we need players. I am writing a book and building a world for us to play in. The server will contain some official areas, some server areas and some player owned areas. The server is not meant to be canon to the book. We are looking to grow a tight knit community. We want you to be active whether in-game or in ooc chat. We have taken some elements of a WM that make the game easier. Like multiple characters. You might want to explore each of the three main story plots. Or discover the 3 hidden dark paths. If this sounds like something you are interested in being part of this. Please send me a chat request.

Ive developed a fallout themed grand strategy RPG played through discord. Turn 1 and I've already realized that I might need some help. I am in need of GMs to help run the game. Its a Sid Meir Civilization style/ paradox grand strategy RPG system  So if youre interested in being the creative engine behind some fun story telling, let me know. Here's some information on how it works: The game is played through discord and Google drive. Each player has a Faction Google sheet and an Army Google sheet. Players each control the head of a faction (think paradox games). They get 3 major and 3 minor actions per turn. A turn is 1 week in game. We dont all meet around a table on set days. The players submit their plans, review it with the GM (mostly throughtext over several days), and if its agreed then on the following turn any costs/payouts and consequences will accrue. The turn is synchronized between all players. If one player fails to submit actions in a reasonable time, the GMs will move forward with the next turn if all other players are ready The idea is to just have some cool homebrew lore on the fallout universe, just like any good RPG. If interested in helping as a GM, let me know. I def need it.

Moth to a Flame — A D&D Campaign The first act of The Tales of Acaridian Wrath has ruptured amongst an elder reality, destroying everything and bleeding its corruption into ours. Acaridian is a simple world of fantasy but not at the mercy of its own chaos. We are set in the desert of Anibuah, a land of dune and scorching rays of heat and herds of vicious monsters, the land is threatened by orcs and elementals as the dragons slumber begins to break from chains beneath, a titan that must remain sealed and now our party is here in search for a lost relic, one which may prevent the titan from awakening, but first they must find the hall of judgement, where the elder god Judge had imprisoned Diablo the dragon titan of ages.. Moth to a Flame focuses heavily on: Exploration with rich worldbuilding, deep lore, high fantasy, cosmic horror and meaningful character progression. Evolving combats and boss encounters, as well as cosmic wonders and chances, the bigger the parties influence, the stronger the enemies. This campaign has a unique Homebrew Rune System, using charts to grant creatures runes based on words forming their own unique element with its own rarity and authority over other rune power. Runes is a massive concept for the Acaridian Series and is a great way to explore creativity. I use homebrew feats to impliment abilities and google docs for stats, its simple but it can be a little overwhelming at first, but trust me once your in the flow, its amazing. Important notes: We are LGBTQ+ friendly but we aren't sensitive friendly, if your not a fan of loudness, dark humor, etc, then i do not suggest you join our group Age span would prefer between 18-30 years old I would prefer all members to have a somewhat flexible time, for if we ever decide to extend our sessions longer or need to change our sessions times And lastly, be able to operate dnd beyond, owlbear rodeo, and talk in call on discord The Session Times: AEST UTC+10 Saturday and Sunday 9:30am-1:30pm In CST time i believe thats 6:30pm-10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! have a great day adventurer.
