The Adventure We’ll be starting with Gloomshire, a popular third-party adventure for Dragonbane. It’s a shorter campaign, likely around 5 sessions, focused on a strange isolated town wrapped in dread and mystery. If the group clicks and everyone has a great time, I’d love to continue into longer-term Dragonbane campaigns afterward, especially Misty Vale and eventually the upcoming TRUDVANG setting when it releases. What Is Dragonbane? Dragonbane is a fantasy RPG with: -Roll-under mechanics -Skill-based characters -No classes -Fast combat -Deadly encounters -Lighter rules than D&D 5e The game sits somewhere between heroic fantasy and old-school danger. Characters absolutely can die, and the randomness of the dice is a major part of the experience. Things commonly determined randomly include: -Ability scores -Encounters -Loot -Travel events -Mishaps and complications Part of the fun is embracing the uncertainty and seeing where the adventure goes. I’m looking for players for Dragonbane, specifically the Secret of the Dragon Emperor campaign, though I’ll be modifying and expanding parts of it. It is a classic adventure fantasy setting. We will be using Discord for voice, and Foundry for dice, maps, character sheets, etc. Sessions will be on Saturdays at 11:00am EDT, and will typically last 3 to 4 hours. New players welcome. No prior experience with Dragonbane or other TTRPGs required. The system is very easy to pick up. I tend to run games that are immersive and conversational. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, Forgotten Realms based homebrew campaign, with an emphasis on story & adventures Ratio: 60 Roleplay/30 Exploration/10 Combat Starting level is 1, Point Buy, Milestone leveling Spells become cantrips, a player can cast them without components or GP Cooldown of spells depends from their power level & the DM's will, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed HP are cinematic. Depending from how much & what kind of damage a character receives, i'll adjust his condition Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About forbidden spells As an example, this is only level 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise), a player casts a spell that speedruns a campaign But a player can prepare all other spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)

We are a group looking for 1-2 new players to join us for an upcoming daggerheart campaign that takes place in my new homebrew setting of Insonja. A mysterious supernatural event caused 3/4th of the world's population to disapear in a flash and then the world fell apart to war, famine and monsters resulting in its current post-apocolyptic state. The players are survivors who reside in the former capital of the world's greatest super power, the imperium of Reem. What survived of the capital and the heartland of the imperium was taken over by a cult that worships a group of angelic beings that are known as the Heralds. The rules of the cult are strict and they expect everyone who resides in its domain to follow said rules regardless of own opinion on religion. However the capital of Reem is one of the few safe areas in the world with civilization. Will this cult provide the safety and salvation that it claims to offer, or is it just replacing the chaos of the wasteland with a different form of evil? The plan is to run the game as long as players keep interest in it. While I am new to running daggerheart I do have plenty of experience running dnd 5e and other systems. I have a zero tolerance policy for bigotry and bullying. I am on the autism spectrum and we have LGBT+ players in the group. GAME START: I have three players. voting on starting date and time begins now. I am still looking for more players. Game system: Pathfinder 2e Remastered, with optional rules to recapture more of the 3.5 D&D feel. CONTENT WARNING: This is not an inclusive or “safe space” game. Fantasy adventure involves horrible and offensive topics. Not for the fragile or the mentally ill. Published module: The Fall of Plaguestone. Twist: Run as an Otherworlder / Isekai adventure (influences include Sword Art Online, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, The Wizard of Oz, the “Den” segment of the animated film Heavy Metal, and similar stories). You and a few others are somehow brought to another world of monsters, magic, and madness. Optional rules and Character creation: All player characters are Human only. Ancestral Paragon, Free Archetype, gradual ability boosts, Automatic bonus progresion are in play. Characters begin with amnesia. They have no classes or background—these must be earned in play. No evil characters. Not using the free ability boosts method. Ability scores are rolled: 3d6, then replace the lowest die with a 6. Only ancestry boost is applied. Ability scores (and the resulting bell curve) help describe your character. Attribute − 10 is the modifier. Good and Evil are objective, real forces, real committed sins player actions are tracked. Introduction: You arrived at the northeastern tip of the nation of Isger, inside a farmer’s harvest and seed storage building, surrounded by Tar Baphon's undead hordes. one of the otherworld characters on watch ran outside and was promptly slain by ghouls. Seems all of you are trapped! Bort Bargrith's caravan clears the way and intent on resupply stop at the harvest storage building. Bort the dwarf rogue, Tamil the elven bard, and Shae the halfling ranger discover all of you. There is a confusing moment when no one can comunicate due to language. Bort provides a magical ring that gives you litteracy and fluency in the Common Andorian language. Bort says, "you must come with us or you will die here! The farmer families who opperated these farms are dead and by salvage rites you lot own all of this Stock. You can join my caravan fleeing Tar Baphon, in exchange for some of your goods." GM: on the journey you may learn languages, purchase 30 gold of starting equipment, through use of Bort's magic rings and from the mass of refugees in the caravan get training in a trade (earn your background) and adapt to this world (earn your class) in the months of travel south. Setting context (past twenty years): Tar Baphon, the Slayer of Aroden, the Arch-lich, and the Dread Tyrant’s undead armies are marching south. The Goblinblood Wars have recently ended (a united effort by greenskin and scaled races to genocide everyone else). The orc war against the dwarves of the Five Kings Mountains has only recently ended. The hobgoblin Ironfang invasion of Molthune and Nirmathas has recently ended. Cults of undeath, disease, plague, death, chaos and destruction (Urgathoa, the Whispering Way, Rovagug) have been largely decimated, but hidden cultists remain and anyone you meet could be one. A recent witch-hunting inquisition died out, yet public suspicion of spellcasters still runs deep among survivors. A plague on the east side of the nation of Isger killed 70% of the mortal population. Platform: Discord. Voice. I will share my screen. I use Pathbuilder ( $5 to unlock all features, it is helpful if you have it, but you do not need it.). Starting: At a time the players agree on, once I have three or more players.
