The thrilling start of a spooktacular pirate mini-campaign - Avast, me mateys! There’s word of a patron loaded with pieces of eights, looking for fine cutthroats & scallywags such as yourselves for a deadly task. Are you familiar with the tale of The Maelstrom, a warship that sailed out from the depths of the underworld, helmed by the dreaded captain Albrecht the Tideborn? A load of hogwash if you ask me, but the coin is good and the task is simple: board the boat, rescue some landlubber, and feed the fish with as many crew members as you can. Are you with me? Good! Greetings, scoundrels, thieves, rogues, and pirates. I'm running a short to medium length Pirate Borg campaign and looking for 1–2 more players to join the filthy ranks. You'll be thrown into a lethal sandbox in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, where war, undead horrors, occult forces, and general madness are dragging the world toward apocalypse. You won't be playing heroic do-gooders. You'll be desperate bastards with loaded pistols, questionable morals, and whatever ambitions you can keep alive long enough to pursue. There is no predetermined story you're expected to follow. Characters are randomly rolled, death is very much on the table, and what you do with the miserable life the dice give you is entirely up to you. Become a legendary pirate. Steal a ship. Hunt horrors for silver. Get filthy rich. Become an exotic undead drug kingpin. Start a war. Or simply try to survive the end of the world. I've already got three solid players, and we're setting sail next Monday. Sessions run weekly on Mondays at 7 PM PT for roughly 3–4 hours, using Foundry with Discord for voice. The crew is established and the game is happening, no weeks of session zeros or waiting around to get things off the ground. Pirate Borg is rules-light and easy to learn; no experience is required. Roll a character. Play next Monday. If you're interested, shoot me a DM with a little about yourself, why you want to join, and what you're hoping to get out of the game. We'll go from there. Inspired by history, fantasy, horror and rum. Your cutlass & flintlock won’t save you from the hordes of skeletons, the Kraken, or even your own crew. This game is about being a greedy, filthy, scoundrel. Find a ship. Recruit some crew. Raid, pillage, plunder, and otherwise pilfer your weasley black guts out. Get a bigger ship. Kill some things. Upgrade your ship. Sneak into a fort. Raid a port. Acquire treasure. Bury said treasure. Become infamous. Search for someone else’s treasure. Flee in terror from unfathomable creatures from the deep. Drink all of the rum. Die on the high seas. Roll a new character and do it all again.' PIRATE BORG is a self-contained rules-light RPG for running swashbuckling campaigns. Character creation is optimized for random generation (though not required), and during combat all rolls are made by the players: enemies don’t roll to attack, instead PCs roll to defend. Bi-Weekly Tuesdays 9:00 PM GMT This is a campaign for Pirate Borg, not just for beginners to TTRPGs but also for players that want to branch out into a different system and setting and try something else. Based in the Dark Caribbean, a dark mirror of the real world Caribbean at the height of age of Pirates heading towards it's utter descent into an inevitable apocalypse. The seas are filled with Pirates, a twisted version of the West India Co., French colonials, the Inquisition, undead and the mysterious Wretched cultist, amongst other eldritch horrors that lurk in the dark waters. Come join the crew and see if you can survive long enough to find treasures and riches, or at least drink enough grog and consume enough Ash (more on that in game) to think you've found it. While the initial elements of the campaign contain some structure this is very much a sand-box game, allowing players to explore what ever intrigues them, see a derelict ship off the coast of the island, well lets go explore. Join this game if you want the perfect blend of eldritch horror and pirate comedy.  This is a paid game of $20 USD per a person. It can be found here on SPG.

The end is near. The final book of Armageddon is fully underway. After years of wars, piracy, the Scourge, Ash, animal die offs, and cultists it seems like the skies have finally given up and gone permanently dark. Raging storms are an everyday occurrence. The sea is covered in a foul mist day in and day out. The word from Cuba is that a six-mile wide hole to the Abyss opened in the ocean south of the island. But at least you found a job keeping an eye out for a "peninsula with three rock columns leanin' to the west". This has been going on for almost a month aboard The Tarantula under the questionable command of Captain Bloodwhip. Foul weather from the west drifts in. A dark omen on the horizon.
