Humanity and the colour out of space

You haven’t seen the sun in over a month now… not since the event… one day every living thing in the city mutated all at the same time. A dome blocks the light, along with phone and radio signals. You are completely cut off. Left to fend for yourself in your new form. The metro tunnels are now a battleground. Toddler sized rats fight against hideously mutated cats that can only be described as goblinoid in appearance… but the metro might be safer than the streets. Monstrous animals prowl the streets in search of prey. It's not all bad, though. The survivors of the event have banded together and turned the abandoned mall into a fortress. A fortress now constantly under attack. Do you have what it takes to survive in a city born anew? Hello! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to read my post. I’m looking for 4-5 players to run a 5e campaign every other sunday at 3:00 pm MST. there will be no humans in this campaign. Along with no clerics and limited patron options for warlocks. The reason for this will be explained in the player doc. Here is the google form link if interested: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffba5mIMidLSDVfxr7Wrm8_rw2yahjmgnI28g32DZVLOkZ5Q/viewform?usp=dialog

The Crooked Moon - Folk Horror Campaign

You are about to embark upon a journey into the unknown, where uncanny folk with strange superstition revere the Old Ways, and creatures of folklore lurk on the isolated fringes of civilization. At the stroke of midnight, a ghastly fog rolls in, and with it, the blast of a haunting train whistle that sounds more like a choir of wailing souls. When the old black locomotive rolls out of the gloom, you know deep in your trembling heart that you have a one-way ticket to the afterlife. The Ghostlight Express thunders its call, and it's time for you to hop aboard. You're off to Druskenvald. Players will embody characters that find themselves in possession of a ticket to ride the Ghostlight Express, a spectral train that ferries souls to the afterlife. This trip through the mists of death leaves them stranded in the mysterious valley of Wickermoor Hollow, where isolated peoples are terrorized by restless dead, wicked hags, ravenous monsters, and many other creatures of the night that never ends. Potential Days: Monday, Friday or Saturday Create your character with the brand new player options including 15 folk horror subclasses - including the Sinner Rogue, a roguish archetype empowered with inflicting hexes & curses with the art of Jinxcrafting. The Crooked Moon also features 13 Halloween-inspired species! Want to play as a spooky and haunted treefolk? Look no further than the Gnarlborn - creatures resembling crooked trees with glowing faces peering from their barkskin. Are you a fan of scarecrows? Now you can play a stalking construct of sticks and straw as a Harvestborn! Pair these with unique subclasses for endless permutations of new characters. To entice you even more, there are 26 epic upgrading magic items, that grow as you grow, so maybe you might have a chance to get one. So come take the horrific plunge. Start Time: 5:00 PM EST Applications Sheet: https://forms.gle/nJX6ZBbEJuW6MfZp8

Seeking 1 More | From the North, A Cold Wind Blows

South of the Whistling White and separated from Ardencroft by the treacherous Sea of Stones, Bjornheim is a land of beauty and savagery in equal measure. The skalds sing of the deeds of its warriors and adventurers in the Age of the Sword, but those songs are little more than old stories now. The Age of the Wolf dawns as the late king is laid to rest. With his death, the clans have fallen to infighting, monsters and bandits prowl the countryside, and an ancient evil stirs... The exiled crown prince has returned to stake his claim to the throne, and he has put out the call for adventurers to aid him in the brewing civil war. The party seeks an ancient artifact that both sides hope will ensure their victory, but danger abounds as they navigate the war-ravaged countryside—and there are signs that an ancient evil may once again threaten the land. Setting Bjornheim is an ancient land in the far north, where civilization clings to the fringes of foreboding mountain ranges and vast forests dotted with the remnants of the long-forgotten past. The forces of change press upon its shores; the realm stands divided between the guardians of tradition and the champions of progress, and the first battles of the civil war now rage. While helping shape the land's future, the party will delve into lost secrets of its past, and their actions will determine whether Bjornheim steps forth into the light of a new age or slips into chaos. Similar to modules like Rime of the Frostmaiden and Tomb of Annihilation, the events of the campaign take place in a relatively well-defined geographical area—in this case, the homebrew setting of Bjornheim—with the aim that a narrower geographic scope will provide a deeper and more dynamic setting. Bjornheim is inspired by the history of Scandinavia during the end of the Viking Age (c. 1100 AD) and the Carolingian Empire following the death of Charlemagne (c. 850 AC), periods of violent upheaval and political turmoil. Aspects have been borrowed or adapted from Norse culture and mythology, fused with elements from various other historical and popular sources. Campaign Logistics The campaign began in mid-2022 and we've reliably played weekly since, with over 120 sessions complete and the party now at level 12. We play every Saturday, starting at 10:30pm EST and running until 1:30am. The game is played via Foundry VTT with Discord used for voice chat, so a microphone of tolerable quality and a decent internet connection are required. Discord is used for campaign management and chatplay between sessions. The current party composition is as follows: Light Cleric, Spore Druid, Storm Sorcerer, Shadow Monk, and Aberrant Mind Sorcerer. There’s no particular class I'm "looking" for someone to play, but I think the party has plenty of interesting roles a new character could shine in. Experience levels are similarly varied; this is the first campaign for some players, while others have years of playtime under their belts. The campaign kicked off with a party of 6 players, but we've been periodically gaining or losing members to encounters with the dangerous monsters Real Life and Scheduling Conflicts. A slightly larger party allows more opportunities for interesting character dynamics and affords a comfortable degree of protection against dropouts or absences, so we’ve elected to once again put out the call. What I'm Looking For & How to Apply I'm looking for a friendly, creative player with a love for rich narrative and roleplay moments big and small to join the party in a dynamic, custom world rife with danger, intrigue, and ancient secrets. Someone with prior 5e experience is strongly preferred, as stepping into a mid-level campaign is a lot to ask of someone new to the system. No minors, but I'm otherwise not concerned about your age/gender/background/etc. If you bring a positive attitude to the table and are fun to play with, you’ll find we’re an easy bunch to get along with. The campaign has been a roughly equal split between roleplay and combat, which has been a comfortable balance for the table. While it won't be a good fit for a player looking to grind their way through dungeon after dungeon, the campaign takes place in a rich world with plenty of opportunities for players interested in intrigue, worldbuilding, and storytelling. The player application can be found linked in the contact info. If I think you seem like a good addition to the table, I'll reach out to you to discuss things a bit further. I appreciate your taking the time to apply--I will review all applications submitted and you have my word that you will hear back from me one way or another. If you have any other questions, feel free to message me or leave a comment below.

Online/Offline Game for NY Metro Area

Hello! I wanted to check interest on starting a DnD game. Please read the whole post to make sure this idea is up your alley.  A little bit about me: 30M, long time DnD player who has dabbled in DMing 6 or so years ago. Had a lot of fun, but had to stop because of an injury.  Im looking for players who live in the NY metro area. If you can get to NYC within about an hour and a little change, awesome! I prefer people closer to myself in age so 25-45 is ideal, but not a dealbreaker. I’m most interested in group cohesion and chemistry.  Eventually, I want to do a game that is online most of the time for everyone’s ease, but maybe meet up once a month for in person sessions. Generally, I’d like to do online sessions around 6/7-10pm on Sundays, and in person sessions we can schedule times and places as needed. The first couple months will be online as we gain steam.  Probably would look to start some time in January if there’s enough interest.  For themes of the campaign, think a throwback to classic d&d: explorations, dungeons, and frequent combat, while also building a setting with rich evolving story and RP potential to get everyone involved.  A couple things I’d like to mention: For simplicity sake, I want to keep things to the main players handbook, xanathars and mordenkainen (I am probably forgetting a book or two but you get the idea).  Do not premake a character. We will go through that process when the time comes with stat rolls/buy ins.  Do not be a jerk. I want an environment where everyone is comfortable, so no tolerance for racism, homophobia, or anything of the sort.  If there’s any interest, comment or send me a DM! This is a cross post from my Reddit post so sorry if the format or content is slightly irregular for this site.

Mystansia: World Unbound

Due to the all devouring schedule monster, my previous campaign has fizzled. I am now ready to release a setting that I have been working on for a very long time. I am looking for 3-5 additional players to join the table. There will be six total, but I have offered the seats to the players from my previous campaign. The premise is below. Premise: Welcome to Mystansia, a world where the gods do more than whisper from afar. They walk, judge, wound, and mend. Nations clash not only with steel and magic, but with ideology, ambition, and scars centuries deep. Magicite, the crystallized breath of the divine, fuels an age of impossible machines, airships, and arcane weapons that have rewritten the nature of power itself known as the Arcano-Industrial Revoloution. To the far west rises Archon, a kingdom of industry built atop its own ruin, where technological brilliance has burned the land into wasteland and glass. In the east, beyond rolling vineyards and chalk-white cliffs, the Trebalae Union thrives on trade, art, and the mystery of foreign winds. Northward lies the Talion Federation, a frozen land of feudal baronies and ironclad loyalty, where the cold is as merciless as the Crown. Between giants stands Creznia, the diplomatic heart of the continent, whose people cling to neutrality with both hands as earthquakes rattle the foundations beneath them. And in the emerald east, where forests whisper and rivers wind through ancient stone, the Maulinar Monarchy endures. Fierce, matriarchal, and proud. Mystansia spans 2,500 miles from east to west, 1,500 from north to south, three years of careful construction made manifest. Five nations. Unparalleled technology. A pantheon whose influence shapes every border and every shadow. A world built not as a backdrop, but as a living engine. One that remembers, one that reacts to the choices of those who walk upon it. This is a sandbox vast enough for wanderers and schemers alike, but threaded with an overarching story that bends and shifts with every decision you make. Step into the skyships, the ancient forests, the glowing cities, the frozen frontiers. Step into a land poised on the edge of triumph or disaster. Mystansia is ready. The only question is what you’ll make of it. Campaign Information * Level 05 * Race Limitations (Lore Reasons): Human, Dwarf (Mountain), Elf (Wood, High, or Drow), Aasimar, Gnome, Warforged, Halfling * Class Restrictions: None (If you choose cleric or paladin, we'll need to discuss which of the gods you follow) * Multiclass: Allowed * Stats: Standard Array or 4d6 drop the lowest * A Full Backstory integrated with world lore that includes goals, flaws, ideals, and bonds. * Format: Discord (Voice), Primarily Theater of the Mind, Roll20 for planned combat, ToTM for spontaneous combat. * Game: 5th Edition 2014 * Homebrew: No * Custom Races/Backgrounds/Lineages: No * Start Day: Thursday, January 08, 2026 * Game Time: 7:00pm CST - 11:00pm CST, Weekly Enrollment Policies * No “package deals.” This campaign will not accept players joining as pairs (partners, best friends, siblings, or similar). All applications are evaluated individually. * Enrollment closes: December 25th, 2025 Applications submitted after this date will be placed in reserve and considered if a slot opens. * Campaign start delay: While the wait may disappoint some, beginning after the holiday season is intentional. Experience has shown that launching during Christmas is a recipe for cancellations and chaos, so we start when everyone can be fully present. To Apply: Simply follow the link below and fill out the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc6h2cKE2ZV6JdOxsCUFkbWJivXNSeG9iQL5Ii5r4u1xuhFdg/viewform?usp=dialog Thank you for your time and interest. I hope to see you in Mystansia!

[Online][4Players][CST][Thursdays] DND

Hello! My groups looking for a GM to run a online campaign with us. We've been working or situating our schedules in order to keep to a steady campaign. We dont have anything specific we'd ask for campaign wise and are open to both book campaigns and homebrewed. As a group we are fairly accepting, granted we make our jokes so if you are super easily offended you've been warned. We do our best to be considerate to those around us but things may slip we are human. We are a tight knit group, no relationships just friends more than happy to fuck each other over if it means we get the magic item instead. We thrive in a role play environment of course enjoying our fair share of fights and will probably have a mix of morals being good evil and maybe a bit in between. Dont have to worry about meta gaming, we tend to have pretty lax characters that just seem cool to us or have a theme were building off of. Roll 20 or other websites or apps can be used we have 3 of us with computers one on mobile but as long as it can be used on mobile we should be good. If anything a stream or screen share will be up from one of us to help her see and view everything. We are fairly adaptable, only real thing we ask is that you have fun be creative can take a joke and are able to be flexible with schedules. One of us is currently in college with a fluctuating schedule, another has on call aspects to his job and Im in the military si schedules could be good one week and shift another.

Older Player Seeking Weekday Bi-Weekly 30+ Group

Availability: Bi-weekly; Monday / Tuesday / Thursday evenings; starting ~7pm-8pm EST and lasting for 3-4 hours Personal: Mid-30s F I'm looking for a group of folks who are 30+ for a fun, lighthearted, and possibly tropey campaign of high fantasy hijinks or space fascism. Life is serious enough for me, so I'm looking for a campaign where we can fool around, spend a bunch of time RPing, and have fun absolutely decimating our enemies in combat. Equal parts comedy and serious tones sounds like a good balance to me. If you are running a paid campaign or think Trump is a cool guy, please don't message me. I have a few years of experience playing DnD 5e 2014 and homebrew PbtA. My current campaign is DnD 5e 2014 and I am open to learning other systems. I also LARP every once in a while. I can commit to playing every other week with the possibility of playing during the off-weeks or another the day of the week. I'm able to start at ~7pm to 8pm EST, and play for 3-4 hours. I'm okay with the campaign being mainly theatre of the mind and don't have an issue trying a non-Roll20 VTT. I will not usually have other plans that conflict with the campaign, but I will not prioritize the campaign over real life and I am looking for others with a similar mindset and willingness for flexibility and understanding. All I can ask us for us to communicate and be willing to try and reschedule when it suits us all. Feel free to message me if you think I'd be a good fit for your group.

Veins of the Titan

Veins of the Titan Premise: Most worlds are built on stone and sea. Yours is built on something alive. Civilizations have grown inside a single ancient titan whose massive body forms the entire world. Cities cling to bone ridges, farmland thrives beneath the warm glow of great organs, and trade routes wind through arterial passages where rivers pulse in rhythm with something deep below. For as long as anyone can remember, the titan’s heartbeat has been steady, slow, and safe. Recently, it changed. Small tremors. A low hum felt in your teeth. Storms of strange bio-energy. Creatures acting as if guided by a new shared instinct. Scholars and shamans argue, but no one truly understands what is happening. All anyone knows is this: the titan is stirring. Whatever lies at its center, a place no one has ever reached, may soon decide the fate of everyone living inside it. Your story begins in one of the border organs, where the first signs of change have appeared. From there, the path leads deeper toward the heart of the world. The deeper you go, the stranger the rules become. This is a world where the landscape breathes with you, pushes against you, and sometimes listens.

5e (2014), Online Game, lv5 Party 4 Players: Rise of Tenebrous 23/11/25 - 20:00 CET Hey, I'm looking for players in a combat heavy one shot, I want to try out. The game will be roughly 3h long. It will be played in dndbeyond vtt and campaigns settings, with discord for voice chat. Game time is a proposal and can be changed. I'm DMing since ~4 years with friends and want to play a little more. So this is the first game with only stranger. Rule wise I'm all in for rule of cool within the boundaries of good reasoning. Heavy focus in my games is for everybody to shine, so I will adopt to your playstyle to make the most fun out of it. Games is open to all and beginner friendly (TPK still possible 😉) Story wise expect a dark fantasy setting. Hope to meet you guys soon!

Odyssey of the Dragonlords

For thousands of years, the Titans were the lords of this land. The Dragonlords drove back their armies; then fell to Sydon's hand. Five Gods from the heavens came, as the Oracle had foreseen. And a sacred oath was sealed with the blood of the Silver Queen. Five hundred years have passed, but the peace has been in vain. The time has come for war in Thylea once again. Keywords: greek-adjacent mythology, narrative epic, roleplay heavy, heroes of legend TW: Gender roles, colonialism, racism, slavery, child sacrifice, prostitution, cannibalism, choice given to be cruel. About the GM Hi! I go by Shumi, 19 (he/they), and I’ve DMed for almost an year now. My DMing style is closely tied to my varying degrees of perfectionism– I enjoy putting a lot of effort into the sessions I host, be it by the carefully picked background music, sewing player backstories into the world, searching for fitting token art, some custom maps created by me, and other effects supplied by VTTs such as roll20 or foundry. I’ve had good feedback from friends and players on the way I run things, and now I’m looking for a new group for an Odyssey of the Dragonlords campaign, by Drew Karpishyn, Jesse Sky, James Ohlen and Brent Knowles at Arcanum Worlds. About the Campaign As previously stated, this will be an OotD campaign. If you have played this previously or GM'd it yourself, please care to not spoil others on the events of the campaign. There will be a Player's Guide available to those who join the campaign discord server. If I can say anything to describe this campaign, it can only be this excerpt from the book itself: "Odyssey of the Dragonlords combines an epic story with a structured, open world. As the players complete major milestones in the story, new parts of the world will become available for them to explore. [...] The goal of this adventure is to explore what it means to be a hero in a land where gods and Titans still walk the earth—where the forces of civilization are only just beginning to prevail against the monsters that haunt the seas and the forests. Your players will take on the role of mythic heroes charged with fulfilling a prophecy and confronting the Titans. Their decisions will shape the future and forever change the world of Thylea." Timezone UTC -3, Fridays 6:30pm bi-weekly. However, at the start of next year I'll be entering college, so if we still have sessions by then we'll have to reschedule. I intend for sessions to last 3-4 hours. Setup Semi-Theather of the Mind. Discord for voice calls, Foundry for dice rolls. We'll be using the 2014 rules whenever possible. Who is this campaign intended for? * People who are into heavy RP and engaging characters – you don’t have to be neither broadway actor nor voice actor (though both are certainly welcome), as long as you’re willing and trying, you’re welcome! * Storytellers – this is intended to be a campaign that tells a story, where characters change or grow, face hardships, bond with one another, explore and reach goals together. If you’re aiming for min-maxing, efficiency and far more combat than RP, this isn’t the right fit. I value people who think from their character’s perspective. * Somewhat experienced players or former DMs – I have nothing but respect for new players, but for this campaign, I’d rather be settling with someone who is already familiar with RPGs and roleplaying. It streamlines a lot of things, and I’d rather not have someone discover after one session that this RPG thing isn’t for them after all. I'm willing to accept those new to 5e if you already have some experience with prior TTRPGs (which would be pretty funny, since 5e is the starting point for many in the RPG scene). * The open minded – bigotry won’t be tolerated. Adam Bates once said "You can say 'all are welcome' but if wolves and sheep are both welcome then you're only going to get wolves". Except for those who are bigoted against others, people from all backgrounds are welcome to join. Extra cookies for former theatre kids, note-takers and artists, you guys make sick party members! * Ages 18+ and those comfortable with mature topics – No grievances towards those younger, but I won't be accepting applicants under 18. Lots and lots of heavy topics– death, violence and similarly dark themes are going to be mentioned or involved. In general, I’m not against shying away from the darker parts of a world. --- For the interested, please fill out the survey here: https://forms.gle/33Qbe8soW5FDHVjo6 If you seem a good match, I'll add you on discord so we can start talking!

I won’t force you to play a male just because I’m gay, that wouldn’t be fun at all now would it?)

The Hammer of Ciridin (GMT +1) (Homebrew Campaign)

GREETINGS AND BIENVENUE! Hello there! My table is looking for fresh players to add to our group as we move into the next part of our ongoing adventures. The coming adventure will serve as a resetting point for the game, and a fresh start for new players and characters to join and get to know the more established ones. Once the arc is finished, things will presumably move back to the Homestead, but the choice of what happens next or the next grand adventure depends on what the group chooses- which is how this arc started in the first place. My plan is to get everyone together and run a session zero before anything so people can be introduces, and any questions about the characters' adventures beforehand can be asked by our newcomers. I know there is always a learning curve with joining ongoing games and groups, but hopefully this will make the transition as easy as possible. The overall game has been a homestead game with a chief focus on exploration and roleplay which has been pushed mainly by player goals and wants, alongside naturally developing arcs and adventures from the world. The "homestead" itself is the frontier town of Dale, which lies just beyond the greatwood known as the Ferwood (chief setting of previous adventures) which has been home to new powers and old. Not to say there has been no adventuring- the group has travelled far into the forest and its regions, exploring fledgeling nations and contesting with the horrors of winter, and the creatures of the old magic that still haunt the dark. As for the current arc and coming adventure- after spending the winter sheltering in Dale, the company has taken up a quest of one of their companions to go and explore the ancient mountains of the Poisoned Peaks. Once a thriving Dwarf Mountainhome within the Ferwood, the peaks were assailed by the dragon known as Old Death and laid low; their holds and culture forever stained with poison. The mountains and its secrets have festered for centuries, but in recent years, a dwarven faction known as the Rockseeker Reclamation led by claimants to the old home, has begun their quest to resettle and clear out the mountainhome of the rot that has infested it; hoping to reclaim its glory and rise it high again as a power in the region. Now movement has increased, and powers turn towards the old mountains, some hoping to make something of them, and others simply to chase the treasures and riches that surely sit within the depths. 「Game Info! 👑」 Tone & Theme: Dark Fantasy, Community, Old Magic, Homestead, Exploration, Roleplay, Semi-Serious Scheduling- Sessions will be held every Saturday 2pm (GMT +1) for roughly 4-5 hours. I am more then happy to do a introductory session with new players to help them enter the game world Basic Requirements- Computer, Decent & Stable Internet, Decent Microphone, Email to be invited to the Legendkeeper, Knowledge on Foundry or Willingness to Learn It. We strongly want people to use Cams to aid RP System- Foundry VTT, Voices over Discord Call. Homebrew- Requires Approval. Various House Rules in place, will be explained in game or prior. Additional Outlets- Legendkeeper Page will be set up, with map and world information, and access to offline character sheets. LGBT+ Accepted and Respected. Abuse will not be tolerated in any form by DM or Table. This applies all genders and views as well, we all want to have fun not be harassed. Age- 18+ (Group ranges from mid 20s to 30s) The Group- The Crimson Company Lucius Von Vanabane- Witch (Blood)/Vessel A Wood Elf Alchemist and fledgling blood mage who hails from the mercantile elvish clan of Vanabane, Lucius suffered much in his childhood due to a cursed affliction that stole much of his health; and promised a short, pained life. He departed his home and the comforts of the capital for the chance of enjoying what freedoms he could claim, and to try and build something for himself in the frontier. He has gained much in Dale, from a new home and companions that he has come to value; but there is always a danger of losing them. He has begun harnessing his cursed blood into new and darker forms of magic, one’s that he knows will have a toil, but he does so in hopes of protecting and strengthening the bonds he has formed. Aissa of Dale- Druid (Shadows) A Half-Elf druid who spent much of her life in the wilderlands of the Ferwood and its nearby hills, Aissa has learnt much in the fashions of local wildlife and creatures. She was present and aided in the founding of Dale, and has been a presence in the village as it has grown. Since joining with the likes of Lucius and Okkram, she has had the chance to explore far deeper into the forest and explore its secrets and dark underbelly far more then she has before. She has reawakened a kinship with the forces of nature and shadows, and has found kinship with the spiders of the woods; including fostering a Great Spider now dubbed Ungursa the Kind. Aissa is a loyal and fierce companion, who has a long memory for betrayals and slights, and is more then willing to pay back disloyalty. She has proven herself open minded to the ebbs and flows of nature’s balance, and is knowable in the nature of spirits and the movements of Old Magic. Okkram of Vania- Alt Fighter (Champion) A Hobgoblin hailing from the city of Vania, Okkram once served as a mercenary for much of his life, and has had a dark history in that work. He and his company spent much of their time dealing with matters In the shadows, solving problems that got dirty and often unsavoury. He lost that family years ago, and came to Dale in hopes of settling somewhere new. His days as a soldier may have passed, but he has became a staple in Dale and within the company as their warrior. He has already suffered much due to the strings of magic and feyish trickery, but has begun to understand and unlock his connection with his gods and their power. Despite claiming that his best days are behind him, and the façade of a grumbling old veteran, Okkram is has proven to be a strong-hearted and loyal companion, who is true to his words to his own detriment. He will hold back the tide for those he has come to call friends, and aid them with all his might. The Setting! 🗺️ The Game is set in my homebrew setting I dub “The Wild Realms” in the year of 3:21 of the 2nd Era since an event known as the “Desolation” a hazy event that brought down the old world and wiped out the gods of yore. The greater region is the Northeastern Parvian, an area known for the mighty goblinoid cities ruled over by a race of near-divine figures known as the Akkad Kings; who uplifted their hobgoblin servants and founded these cities in the name of their gods, the Three Brothers. The cities battle for control over the wide lands and seek to push themselves closer to domination over the wild land about them. There are other places, from great swamps filled with worshippers of flame to dwarven holds at hold back the north. The more focused part of the setting has been the Ferwood, an ancient forest that was overtaken by the Greatwyrn known as Old Death. In centuries past, an alliance of hobgoblins and elves seeking to find a new home came together and defeated the dragon, founding the Kingdom of Aentfor. Yet time progressed, and that kingdom fell to rivals, and that unity shattered. In more recent years, and thanks chiefly due to player's involvement, a new nation known as Calenlonnd has been founded as successor to Aentfor, and is trying to grow itself and its power. Yet Old Death too was also awakened, and has re-established his command over the Ferwood as a whole, and while he allows Calenlonnd to endure, he demands tribute of valuable resources and lives; and what hope can this new land hope to thrive in the shadow of a dragon's greed. This setting is ever-evolving, and has already been radically shifted by the previous game in ways I didn’t expect. There is a lot of wild unclaimed land filled with danger and wonder, and travelling and surviving away from those bastions of civilization is a big part of the adventure. 「Themes!」 The game has already taken on some strong themes, with a distinct focus on Folklore and Old Magic, and a district undercurrent of community. The game has proven to have many interesting narratives and tones, with the implication of such dark powers and creatures of the wilds being front and centre in both the setting and in the characters. At the same time, it is my personal hope that you and your group can provide the counterbalance, bring light to a dangerous world to protect not only yourself but your homes and the friends you make. 「Responding to this University Essay」 If you are interested, and my essay hasn't scared you off, then please send me a message with the following: Tell me about yourself, where are you from? What are you interests? What makes you interested in this game? Anything you would like to share, but some basic stuff would be wanted. What do you like in D&D? How much experience do you have with the game? Are you more into combat or roleplay? What kind of Game Style do you like? What Kind of Characters do you like to play? Please note that we prefer making characters that have connections to the game and setting, as I think its important, even if none of their characters know other. So, politely, if you have a premade character with a long defined history and unmovable ideas of what they have to have and be- this may not be the game for them. It should be noted that the more you give, the more likely I am to respond depending on how small or the large the response to this is. I invite you to please give me these details, so I can get an understanding of you beforehand. After that, I will most likely give you a message, and arrange for a call between us where I can ask some questions and further convo. Once I have that, I will try to gather a group I feel is good together and what I’m looking for in this game, and then message you and arrange for you to join if so. 「Who am I? 💡」 My name is Marshall, I’m from England, and in my mid-twenties, and am subject to mistakes and miscalculations and misjudgements. I seek to learn from them. My favourite DM is Brennan Lee Mulligan for his sheer passion in his style and creative improv. I’ve run a long-term campaign to completion and several smaller adventures and one-shots as well. I strive to improve in both my storytelling, game running and table running. I personally love the more roleplay aspects of D&D, and seeing how the PCs can cause ripples that will redefine the story and world around them. No plan survives the players, but sometimes the world is enriched by their actions. I greatly enjoy worldbuilding, but I more enjoy seeing how it can be shaped by PCs, and how these stories created can cause such profound emotion and effect I am a lover of homebrew, and I love using it to further personalise characters or add an unexpected flair to the world. While I strive to be accommodating and flexible, my word is law on matters ultimately, although I invite discussion. I'm a rather silly fellow, and I confess my humour to be rather dark and morbid. I like musicals. 「What I Would Like from a Player💡」 Someone willing to get invested in the setting and help mould and define it through their stories and characters. Someone willing to be active and present in the game, preferable people who are good or willing to role-play and add to the experience. Creative people who want to be part of a fun adventure, but also are up for creating a joined story with myself and their fellow players. People who are good or at least present at taking notes and keeping track of things, and who are going to explore and ask questions and see the world. Team-Players, who are going to rock the spotlight but also be willing to share and help each other. I’d love people who really want to explore and become interwoven with all the setting information and lore and maps and all that, but I don’t expect you to know the setting guide back to front I have no opinions on your race, sex, gender, or such as long as people can be civil and polite on all counts. I judge based on the person and how they present themselves and act. Brownie points if you're an artist or creative, but that's just my DM fantasy. Ultimately, above all else, above the world and the adventures and the stories- people who want to have fun and play some D&D 「What I Expect from a Player💡」 Be polite and considerate to your fellow players and their time, and to me and mine, and such will be granted back to you. People who understand that while we strive to bring to life a world and a story, that this is a game, and is meant to be enjoyed and fun. Harassment will not be tolerated, and if things should progress, then I will ask the table to vote on whether to remove that person. I should note while I'd prefer to keep things fair, should I deem it as going too far, I will simply ask that person to leave. If any issues arrive, such as a rule dispute or a player issue, please wait until the end of the session so it can be given the proper time to talk. If it is serious, send me a message and I may call a break. On rule issues, I prefer to make a call quick and move on, after the session things can be set straight and made clear for future cases.

The Shattered Star: NightFall

The Shattered Star: NightFall- Game is set at 6pm EST A brutal dark-fantasy survival RPG where magic is dying, gods are gone, and the Night is alive. When the Star shattered, its light was consumed. Now the world endures a 20-hour night, mutated horrors, and a shattered magic system that tears at the mind. Every spell you cast risks your sanity—and sends a beacon to the creatures lurking just beyond the dark. A World Without Light Magic falters, divine power sparks like a dying ember, and light sources are rare and deadly. Darkness weakens spells, twists outcomes, and empowers Night creatures. Sanity-Driven Spellcasting Every spell forces a Sanity check. Failures cause hallucinations, mutations, or Ruin surges that warp the caster and world around them. High-Lethality Survival Spell slots rarely recover. Resting is dangerous. Using divine Miracles draws Nightlords from miles away. Every choice matters. New Systems Sanity checks for all spells Night Attraction Radius: casting magic summons enemies Divine Miracles as a rare MP-based power source Ruin, Hunger, and Mutation mechanics Banned/fragile spells that distort or collapse reality Light is life. Magic is death. Night is watching. Survive the world broken by the Shattered Star—and endure the night that wants you dead.

Expect monumental ship-to-ship battles, encounters with colossal sea monsters, and climactic end-of-arc moments that define the legacy of the voyage. ⸻ 🏴‍☠️ Set Sail “The Damantus readies to depart. The Curse of Strahd

Introduction Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came—all according to his plan. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner And you are invited. About me I've been playing DnD for about fifteen years, and DMing off-and-on for over a decade. I've run multiple campaigns online, including Curse of Strahd. I got started playing CRPGs (think BG3, but WAY older), and it heavily influenced the way I run games. Everyone should feel like part of the game world. Everyone should have a secondary, personal goal for adventuring beyond the main quest. It's my job to make sure those two things happen. In my experience, once those are taken care of the game basically runs itself. About the Game The session time is Thursdays, 7:00-11:00 PM CET. Two players from my last campaign has already signed up for CoS. The ideal party size (in my mind) is four players, but if we end up with five that's alright. We're going to run every week, with a five or ten minute break in the middle of the session for people to stretch their legs. Fair warning, we might run over by a few minutes if no one objects and there's something interesting happening. Also, we will run without you, if you're not there. If something comes up every few months, that's alright. But, I'd ask that you make 95% of the sessions. The chance someone misses a session is why I'm open to having a fifth player in the party. I'm setting an age limit of 18+. This is not a campaign for children, and I don't intend to temper the horror. That's rather the point. Older isn't a problem. Older is better. You might actually get my references. I run very by-the-book campaigns. If the book says "this is how something works," that's how it works. With very few exceptions, I don't do homebrew. If it's in an official book, you can generally use it. The caveat, here, is that your character has to fit into the premise of the campaign. See the linked form for more information. The game will be played in the VTT Foundry, which loads in your browser (ideally Firefox, optionally Chrome). I'm using the excellent Beneos Battlemaps for CoS, which makes for an immersive experience. We'll do VOIP and out-of-game chat via Discord. You need a stable (ideally excellent - the maps and videos are large) Internet connection, and a computer. That's about it. I would highly recommend taking notes, but that's not under my control. I've prepared the maps, music, and tokens. If you can do a character sheet solo, great. Send it to me. If you need help, I can help. It'll all be prepared for you in Foundry before we start. Other than that, the only things you need are compassion and wit. Some experience in 5e is necessary, but you don't need to be an expert. If you're still transitioning to 5.5e, that's alright. Session Zero will be November 6th, 2025. We'll talk about the themes of the campaign, review the character creation guidelines, then break for a week to finalize character sheets. More importantly, we'll talk backstories. You'll be required to write a ~300 word background, including a personal goal (we'll talk more about this individually, based on your character concept), during the week. Session One will be Novermber 13th, 2025. Best guess, this campaign will take around 30 sessions. If you want to play with us, I have a form for you to fill out: https://forms.gle/fGSij9QteVhP1Mjf7 Please read the entire thing, including the campaign information, before you begin. I'm rather particular about the people with whom I play. I like people who are well-spoken and creative. So, if you want to join the campaign, write a bit. Ideally, when writing you'll demonstrate a strong grasp of the English language. I'll message interested parties via Discord, at which point we'll chat. You need to ensure your Discord account accepts Friend Requests. I cannot contact you, otherwise.

Luckyroll’s 5e Homebrew Campaign

(Estimated Runtime to be 3+ years running | Friendly & Welcoming | RP Heavy) Hey there, I’m Fabio, DM of Luckyroll 5e. We just wrapped up a 147-session campaign that ran for 3.5 years, and now we’re starting a new story in the same world. We’re looking for 3 new players to join us as we dive into Vyrindor - a land scarred by cataclysm, haunted by strange horrors, and divided by clashing ideals. Application end date: 03.09.2025 - 12am GMT+1 What to Expect This isn’t a sandbox or a railroad - it’s a guided story (Linear) that adapts to your characters’ choices. Whether you lean into: Political intrigue Survival against nightmare-born horrors Delving into the Wonders of the Hail Exploration of the Barrierlands Or entirely other aspects you are interested in. …the narrative will bend around what your group decides matters. We’re RP-heavy and collaborative, so backstories and table choices really shape the campaign. The world is already alive with history from our prior campaign, but this is a fresh start - new story, new characters, new legends waiting to be written. The Setting in Brief Three generations ago, the Prime Veinflare shattered the land and cloaked the capital in a strange crystalline storm. From the ruins, two very different nations emerged: Pheyloràn, a wonder-driven nation, and Uldra’ven, a survival hardened militaristic regime. Their uneasy reunion now threatens to spiral into conflict, as the strange Borderland that looms between them pulses with eerie gloom. Game Details System: D&D 5e (modified with homebrew rules) Style: Narrative-heavy, RP-focused, long-term, with enough room for tactical combat that leans from easy to very deadly depending on player choices (usually try to have 1 combat encounter at least every 2-3 session) (can be more depending on the area you find yourselves in and if it makes sense narratively) Deadliness: Up to the players and discussed at session 0, default is depending on the players choices. Resurrection: Resurrection rules of CR are used. (ritual for resurrection spells longer than 1 action) The player has the final say if their character returns or if it is the end of the journey for them and they create a new character or something else happens. Platform: [Discord - Foundry VTT hosted via Forge], Schedule: [Thursday/19:00 + GMT+1] Slots: 3 players (joining 3 returning players = 6 total) (Average group age is about 30) Experience: All welcome, but love of roleplay is a must. Vibe: High Fantasy and emotional storytelling, with tones similar to Avatar: The Last Airbender| Claire Obscure: Expedition 33 - serious moments balanced with humor. If you want to be part of a table where characters shape the world as much as the DM, and where the story grows from the players’ choices, we’d love to have you. Overall we want to have a fun time with friends at the table! Recruitment Form Link! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScbHhSwIYHwH5EvAaRov-Lef87XkGJd1UauTAy5Zy0cMCMpBA/viewform?usp=header

D&D 5e (2014) Campaign: Astral Origins

The Astral Plane collapsed. As the backbone that binds the planes together, its fall shattered the very boundaries between realms—Material, Elemental, Ethereal, and beyond. The devastation rippled across existence, tearing rifts, unraveling magic, and breaking the order of reality itself. No one knows why it happened—or why, centuries later, the Astral Plane eventually stabilized again. But the world that remains is not the one that was. While other races escaped to their native planes during the chaos, **humans were stranded** in the Material Plane—ground zero of the catastrophe. From the ruins rose **three human tribes**—two of which forged their own kingdoms. The third, the **Nurian Tribe**, mastered unmatched magical technology… but **vanished mysteriously** just before the world began to recover. **It is now 800 years since the Collapse.** The world has endured, evolved, and expanded—but much remains unknown. **A World Reborn, Yet Unfamiliar** The continent now known as **Miras** bears little resemblance to the world before. Centuries after the Collapse, a second landmass—**Iodoris**—was discovered, hidden behind violent storms. Its existence raised questions: if it took so long to find Iodoris, what else lies undiscovered? Even now, echoes of the planar rupture linger. Some lands shimmer with residual magic. Kerlaans

I am still writing this campaign so it isn't fully finished, but it is finally finished enough to start playing! But I also want to form this campaign around my players and the story they want to play through. So, there is no real introduction yet, but when some more players join I'll write a proper one. GMT+2

The Arcane Frontier (3rd session)

Hello adventurers! I am a GM based in Tallinn, and I would like to announce the second session of a new DnD 5 campaign I have been working on, for beginners and veterans alike, named: The Arcane Frontier. It consists of a series of independent one-off sessions in one persistent world. Each session, a party of 4 goes on a quest, in which you visit some new location: basically, a mini "dungeon" crawl with some roleplaying before and after. If you join multiple sessions, you keep your character, gaining more loot, reputation and friends. The second session will be on Friday the 28th of May, starting at 19:00 online on a separate Discord server, and should last about 3 to 4 hours. Sessions are in English. Send me a message, and I'll send you an invite to our Discord server. My username on Discord is Silen#7094. Hope to see you at the next mission! ---------------------------------- Info about the campaign: A realm of possibilities. A blessing to some, and curse to others. The mages of an advanced and populous planet-wide society have created a portal to a new plane. Adventurers courageous enough to start life anew travel to this arcane frontier, ready to make their mark in an unknown world. There is but one catch, those travelling through the portal may never return to their home world. It is a fresh start, a blank slate. What kind of person will you be? This is a series of independent one-off DnD 5 sessions set in one persistent world. Each session will feature a mission of your choice, in which you visit some new location in the wilderness of The Arcane Frontier. You can join for one session, or stick around and have your character go on multiple missions. It's your choice! Maybe you even gain enough reputation to level up.

Shipwrecked

A strong downpour of rain, punctuated by the occasional clap of thunder and lightning, stirs you in the night as the ship is rocked by a large wave. The sound of creaking and snapping leads to a spray of splinters as the boat is assaulted by another huge wave. All around you is the sound of panicked shouting as others begin to realize the severity of the situation. The storm is ripping your boat apart. You find yourselves washing up ashore on a sandy beach. The weather is still harsh, but the ground beneath your feet is a touch more comforting than the deadly abyss of the ocean. You see others crawling up the beach with you, while behind the massive waves roil and crash against the reef. You realize you'll need to collect who or what you can and build suitable shelter if everyone is going to survive the night.
