Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for players for an in-person D&D game in Lake City I’m putting together a weekend evening D&D game, either Saturday or Sunday depending on what works best for the group. The campaign is called Sapphire Vale. It’s a homebrew game where the players take on the role of small forest creatures living in a deep, hidden valley surrounded by mountains. Think mice, rabbits, foxes, birds, frogs, bugs, and other little woodland folk trying to survive in a world that feels much bigger and stranger than they are. The tone is mostly cozy forest fantasy, but with darker edges. There are peaceful villages, old trails, strange ruins, dangerous predators, and parts of the woods that most creatures know not to enter. This is meant to be a roleplay-heavy game with exploration, character moments, danger, and a story built around the party. New players are welcome as long as you’re willing to learn and be part of the group.

3 Newbies - looking for DM

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
(Aiming for 9PM AEDT start time) Hi! We’re a table of 3 and are relatively new to D&D. We’re not too picky about how the game should run but a mix of RP and Combat would be nice. We’re looking for a long-term campaign that we could run preferably once a week, but it’s all fine if that’s not possible. Really looking forward to it, were nice people I swear 🥺 DM me on discord!!! Remade many systems in 5e to better fit an mmo-style like the anime SAO. The most notable is that instead of classes, you have skill trees. If you are interested in joining, I'd like to know what your favorite story at the table is, or otherwise getting to know who you are as a person. We are currently thinking about Fridays from 4-8pm CST starting some time in June. If you want to see what the skilltrees currently entail: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Th_DrifWVknXMDK36lbxO3bFdMe4qb9gk1v2womieS0/edit?usp=sharing

.✦ ݁˖ Hey everyone! :D .✦ ݁˖ I’m Joween and I’m part of a group of six players (though realistically usually around four consistent players, with two being a bit more on-and-off) currently looking for a DM for a long-term D&D campaign. We’re a very roleplay-heavy group and are specifically looking for a DM who enjoys character interaction, story development, relationship-building between PCs, and immersive worlds. We can also do well in combat- so we aren’t looking to avoid it completely either. We enjoy tension and serious moments mixed in with humor and lighthearted scenes. A bit about us: Ages range from early 20s to early 30s 2 girls and 4 guys Players from Europe (4), North America (1), and Turkey (1) Friendly, welcoming, and LGBTQ+/minority friendly 4 experienced D&D players, 2 newer players who may occasionally need a little extra help with mechanics/spells/combat flow Scheduling: Fridays CEST 19:00–23:00 (7 PM–11 PM) We highly value consistency and weekly sessions Obviously real life comes first, so don’t worry. Communication above all. We’d like a campaign where sessions still happen as long as at least 4 players + the DM are available As for the campaign itself: We’re totally open to homebrew worlds and would genuinely love to hear about settings people have created Medieval fantasy vibes are preferred We mostly enjoy using classes/subclasses from the standard Player’s Handbook content (We wish to play version 5E (or 2014 rules) and not 5.5E (or 2024 rules) ) Homebrew content is perfectly fine with us as long as it fits the setting/tone We’d also really appreciate talking with the DM beforehand to see if everyone clicks well socially and creatively. A Session Zero where the DM introduces the world, tone, expectations, etc., would be ideal so everyone can see if it’s a good fit before committing long-term. Mainly, we’re just looking for someone patient, chill, tolerant, and interested in building a fun collaborative story together. We care a lot about good group chemistry and making sure everyone feels comfortable and included. So? Sounds interesting? Great!! Please answer a quick google forms. If you don’t want to click on random links (we love internet safety) just DM and I’ll send you the questions! https://forms.gle/JEw298vskBEnHJ129 Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you soon~

Hi! I’ll be running Lost Mine of Icespire Peak (Lost Mine of Phandelver and Dragon of Icespire peak combined), using the 2024 (5.5) ruleset. This is a great adventure for all players especially new players! We’ll be playing weekly on Thursdays at 6pm UK time using Roll20 and Discord, so please make sure you can commit to that schedule. My games are story and roleplay-focused, with an emphasis on teamwork, world immersion, and collaborative storytelling. I’m looking for players who enjoy engaging with the world and sharing the spotlight with the group. If interested, please send me: • a brief introduction about yourself • the character concept you’d like to play • what you enjoy most in D&D • what kind of group dynamic you enjoy

Hi, my name is SomeGuiltyDuck, you can call me Duck. This is my first time DM'ing and playing D&D. I am a 31yo male from Norway. I'm leaning more toward roleplaying even though there will be combat. Campaign will be casual and not rule strict - if it makes sense, I will probably allow it. Team comp does not matter, You can be 4 bards for all I care. I hope for players that will immerse themselves in their character and the world. Intro: Mage has kidnapped someone you care deeply for, you do not know their destiny - if they are alive or not. You receive a letter from an unknown source stating they have a way to stop the mage. Within the letter there is a map with the location, date, and time of the meetup. Time: 19:00 CEST (2-4 hours) Date: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Platform: Foundry VTT & Discord (Voice) Requirements: Good mic, reliable/punctual, NO AI I will have a discord call with everyone individually. Hopefully session 0 will be in week 23, we will prepare and talk to see how we vibe. Session 1 will be the week after that. PS: I will be streaming the campaign and put it on YouTube.

NO PAID GAMES Hi! My name is Shadow and I am 1 of 4 people looking for a dungeon master to run a game for us on Tuesdays after 4 Pm MST! We are all pretty expirenced players with years of experience and are all older than 18. Most of us have expirence playing together and are already mostly comfortable as a group(I say mostly cause 1 of us hasn't played with 2 of us.) We are happy to answer any other questions about us if you have any, we have some of our own below as well as what we'd like in our game. What were looking for: Setting/Theme: Typically we like high fantasy games where magic is in abundance and races are diverse. Steampunk type setting with airships and the like are also apriciated.       A few of us would also like a pirate themed game if that's something you'd be interested in as well but it's not necessary if you have a different setting in mind we love to hear about it.      Sandbox worlds are also apriciated and desired but we know they can be a bit much.      Homebrew world settings are also preferred but again not required. Rules/Mechanics: Like we said in the title we are looking for a story driven game so a 60% Roleplay to 40% combat balance would be ideal for us with some wiggle room of course. We also have a strong preference for 2014 5e over 2024 We are also fond of downtime mechanics like our characters working on projects, buying things, etc, since the more story elements and normal things like that we find pretty fun. Rollings for stats is another thing we like but isn't a hard requirement. Additionally one of our players(me) is interested in playing a home brew class made by the YouTuber PointyHat, I'll include a link to the video if you'd like to check it out, I'm not set on it though so If you don't want to allow it that's fine. I think that's everything for now, I will probably have more questions if you reach out but until then I hope you have a great day! Thank you for reading all of this, if you're interested reach out to me on discord at Shadowstrike775. I hope to hear from you soon.

Edit: (Really don't know why this is getting asked so much, but yes, I am LGBTQ friendly.) Hi everyone! this is pretty much just a copy pasted concept post from my roll20 ad, but I wanted to post it here to see if I could get any traction! I am a dm with about 10 years of experience, dming since I was about 15. I personally enjoy heavy amounts of roleplay and character growth, as well as making my players actually feel something when they play the game. I am looking for players who are roleplay forward and actually want to engage with my world and story, not just be railroaded through plots. I'd say I try pretty hard, I do my best to do voices for every character, make almost every single map I use myself, and love working with players to make their story arc/character design really come into full swing. I'd really like to just make it clear that I'm open to anyone who is both capable of clearly speaking during session, and can comprehend mechanics well enough to not need to ask what their class does every turn. I am not interested in new players that have 0 experience in tabletops, but I am fine with players who have almost 0 experience in dnd 5E despite having experience in other games. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A modern day city, full of people all minding their own business. Perhaps you were a traveler coming to the city for some kind of business trip. Perhaps a teacher on an off day, a bakery owner who'd just finished setting up their shop for the morning rush. Regardless of what you were, you're something different now. In a flash the calm and easily presumed atmosphere of the city has devolved into chaos. Blood lines the streets as creatures far from normality seem to be brutally murdering those in the streets. Most cower and hide away from these creatures, these beasts. Some rise up to the task of defending their fellow citizens and begin to fight these creatures tooth and nail. Chairs, steak knives, even their own hands and feet, people fight back. Soon after a great deal of violence has settled a great number of people have what seems like a video game screen appear in front of their face. The interface seems crisp, seamless as if it's really physically there. A few words bring a horrifying reality to be known. " Greetings, you have been invited to the game of the Gods. " Hello! Welcome to my pretty shameless rip of a theme and story inspired by a webtoon called 'return to player'. Whilst the idea of the setting and etc are heavily inspired by the webtoon, the direct plot and progression of the story is not! I will be pretty blunt, this game is meant to be a more tactical and brutal game wherein the players must train and attain great strength to eventually beat the end goal. (This will probably take quite a while.) Players will have access to a vastly revised character growth system! Most of the changes I've made will be explained in the contents of this google doc. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1py7shmO8imKK9eFwDuRVqHqW-f02XPXezMSAs9ULgYs/edit?usp=sharing NOTE: I am starting everyone at level one! Only races in the document are allowed! Note, not every change is present here, as I may addendum some things when players make characters, or through the game if I feel a player is not performing up to snuff due to mechanical limitations. Martials will have a far greater sense of power scaling in this setting, and will have a great deal more potential abilities to use. Getting into the actual SETTING of the campaign, this is a completely modern day and real world setting campaign. Every god from mythology is canon. (As well as H.P lovecraft gods for some reason.) However for obvious reasons, i'd prefer we don't touch on gods or religions that people IRL consistently worship. (I find it highly unlikely we'd offend some norse pagan by roleplaying Odin and etc.) With that said, the game will likely be set in the U.S because i have little knowledge of intricate social and geographical things outside of my own country. The game will run about 4-5 hours on average, and maybe later some nights depending. Players can fully expect to be rewarded for interesting characters, and will have basically full creative freedom to pitch ideas for unique character concepts! (Barring very extreme ones that I would struggle to balance.) With all this mentioned, please feel free to contact me with further questions that you feel are unresolved. Discord will be used for voice calls! (This is a copy paste of the roll20 Ad, please apply there!) https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/410940/what-a-cruel-game-this-is

Hellow and Welcome! My name is Riley (He/Him), and my girlfriend and I have moved to Marietta, GA and we'd like to get an in-person game going, weekly, if possible. We'd be happy to run a persistant campaign or campaigns using Dungeons & Dragons 5th Eddition, D&D 5.5th Edition, Draw Steel, or another system entirely if people are interested. I have more than a decade of DM experience, and my hope is to get a small group together in person to run a custom capaign for us. I've helped new players learn TTRPG systems before, and there's nothing I like more than helping others get invested in the story and world of our campaign.  It would be up to the group what kind of game and setting we run in. I've comfortably run Heroic Fantasy, Dark Fanatasy, Sword and Sorcery, Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Space Opera, Post-Apocalyptic, and Urban Fantasy before, so whatever kind of world and story we''d like to persue, I'm sure I can oblige. As an added perk we have a proper tabletop gaming table for us to play at, cupholders and all! The only cost accociated with the game would be that everyone would be asked to bring some snackes and/or drinks for the table. If you're situated anywhere within driving distance of Marietta, GA, we'd love to have you over for decent snacks & beer, better games, and even better memories!

The Serpent's Secret: Shilku Expansion

Starting an online campaign for an epic homebrewed adventure set on the remote and mysterious Chult Peninsula, a dark dangerous land of volcanoes, serpent cults, and sentient beasts. Seeking players and fellow DMs familiar with Tomb of Annhilation to join and help beta test a new expansion module for the ruined City of Shilku. Campaign is set on the Wild Coast, continuing into the jungle interior and underdark 7 layers deep!  I prefer players without too many competing commitments and schedules, hoping for weekly session length of 3+ hours. DM is retired and obssessed, but rusty after a 40-year hiatus from DMing. I’ve been hosting another game for 3 months on discord and DnDBeyond. Ready to start another!  Time and day of week are flexible TBD once we have found interested people. I can do a weekend afternoon/evening, but I'm open to a weeknight if others prefer. No one should have to stay up past 12 Midnight so I prefer 4-5 pm PST start time to accommodate Eastern US and some Southern neighbors.

We recently lost a couple players to real life and are looking to add to our numbers. The Campaign is homebrew, characters are currently level 13. The main plot is about the Players, The Senior Officers of a Mercenary Company, that have taken a stand against a world conquering Warlord and his armies. I am late 40s and have been playing TTRPGs for over 20 years. The players are 5 guys 30s-50s but we are open to anyone (LGBTQ friendly)

Voyage of the Fallen Star – Open Table D&D

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Voyage of the Fallen Star is a seafaring Dungeons & Dragons campaign about following rumors, pulling on loose threads, and discovering what happens when small choices begin to tangle into something much larger. The world is wide, the sea is uncertain, and the story is shaped by which paths the party chooses to follow — and which are left behind. As the Knitter of Yarns, my role is to gather those threads — character goals, side quests, consequences, and chance encounters — and weave them into a clear, cohesive adventure. You’ll have space to explore ports, chase leads, take on side work, and wander off the expected path, while a steady narrative thread continues to guide the journey forward. The tone balances adventure and mystery, with room for humor, quiet character moments, and rising tension as the voyage unfolds. Combat is tactical and purposeful, exploration is encouraged, and roleplay is always at your comfort level. There’s no pressure to perform — just a shared story built one decision at a time. What you can expect: Player-driven exploration with a clear narrative weave Meaningful character progression and lasting consequences Balanced, approachable combat that rewards teamwork A calm, welcoming table with clear pacing and communication A free Session 0 will be scheduled once the minimum number of players (3) is reached. Session 0 will cover expectations, character creation, table tone, and safety tools before the adventure begins. If you enjoy collaborative storytelling, exploration guided by choice, and a table where every thread matters, Voyage of the Fallen Star invites you to take your place at The Open Table and see where the weave leads. Interested players can find full details and sign up here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmk1f9m6l0002jm04aq0fbdw5?ref=cm42y2bn800381034oyhbvpy0

It's Always Sunny In Waterdeep

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Cue the intro Hello! We’re a group of three (2 players, 1 DM) looking for 2-3 additional players. We would start by running a handful of one-shots to workout the chemistry and dynamics and then move into a full campaign. Preferably we would like people 25+ years of age but we welcome newbies, veterans, and players in between! This would be played with the 5th edition system but open to group consensus on playing 2014 or 2024 rules. It would be a weekly game (Fridays, but relatively flexible) that would last 3-4 hours. For more information please see the doc below and the form linked within: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F_j2tNVPS_a-UO1zXMWyXP7RrBjQEc2Tf7OGJt1qAx0/edit?usp=sharing

Roleplay focused

This is a traditional High Fantasy D&D game in the homebrew world of Relanor. The game style is primarily exploration based with notes of mystery, roleplaying, character development, and dungeon delving -- basically your normal D&D style game!  For more information on the world, you can look at my Wiki here: https://relanor.fandom.com/wiki/Relanor_Wiki Looking for one more player who is available Tuesday nights starting at 7:30pm. We already have four players, but we would be interested in having one more local person join the group. As of today, 2026/05/20, we haven't had a session 0 but plan to next week.  Reach out to me on Discord @Torkontheorc if you're interested!

Mysteries of the Sword Coast

Welcome to the Sword Coast. Far from the safety of the great cities, a frontier town known as Thornmere has begun to suffer from strange and terrifying events. Trade routes have become unsafe, travelers vanish along woodland roads, and creatures once thought long gone have begun emerging from the forests surrounding the town. The nearby settlements refuse to intervene, seeing Thornmere’s troubles as a distant problem not worth their soldiers or coin. Left isolated and desperate, the town now seeks capable adventurers willing to uncover what is happening before the situation spirals beyond control. This campaign will be a long-term dark fantasy adventure set on the Sword Coast with a strong focus on roleplay, mystery, exploration, character development, and meaningful choices. The tone leans serious and atmospheric, with the world reacting to player decisions over time. Expect ancient secrets, political tension, dangerous wilderness, hidden truths, and enemies that are not always what they first appear to be. The campaign will begin at Level 3. Before the main campaign starts, I will also be running a one-shot set within the same world and timeline. This will act as both an introduction to the setting and a chance for everyone to see how the group plays together before committing to the full campaign. Campaign Style: • 60/40 RP to Combat • Story and character focused • Beginner friendly if willing to engage • Dark fantasy atmosphere • Long-term campaign • Actions and choices have consequences If you enjoy immersive roleplay, uncovering mysteries, and being part of a world that evolves around your decisions, you’ll likely fit in well. We will use dnd beyond for character sheets and discord for communication. The campaign will be set in dnd 5.5e/5e 2024. Small amounts of homebrew.

Interest check for an Iron Lung oneshot!

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
As the title suggests, I'm interested to see if there's any, well, interest in an Irong Lung inspired game. I saw the movie a few months back and fell headfirst into hyperfixation and started mapping out a oneshot for 2-3 players that would create their own convicts that would be welded within a doomed ship. Unfortunately, life got busy and I stopped working on the idea. HOWEVER! After watching Project Hail Mary and getting a dose of that good ol' patron saint of one way trips, I kind of had the urge to work on it again, but acknowledge that I still have a LOT to build/write out. So before I invest all that time and energy, I wanted to see if any folks would actually be interested.  For those not familiar with the game/movie, below is a little exposition/lore dump for you: *In this universe, humans have already explored a lot of space, colonizing many planets, with the first being Mars, holding a base called Eden. However, in 2349 A.D., an unexplainable cosmic event occurred. Known as The Quiet Rapture, where all planets and celestial bodies just quietly disappeared, with all life forms on it. The only things to survive were the people who inhabited man-made space stations, with a collective of less than 1,000 humans and two opposing groups remaining.* *One group of space stations is known as the Consolation of Iron, the C.O.I, while the other is a space ship inhabited by Eden's population. An important note here; Eden is in possession of the very last tree in the universe.* *However, due to a lack of resources from the planets disappearing, Eden and C.O.I fell into conflict as each group struggles to prosper in a rapidly dwindling world. This conflict culminates with Eden targeting one of C.O.I's larger bases called Filament Station, which resulted in a nine day all-out war, only ending when Eden sabotaged Filament's reactor, creating a critical breach, leaving Filament uninhabitable.* *You were a member of Eden, caught as a prisoner of war, and you are now in the hands of the C.O.I.* *You, as convicts, have been welded shut into a poor excuse of a submarine, forced to explore the ocean of a moon referred to as AT-5, taking pictures of Points of Interest (P.O.I's) for scientific research. However, this moon's oceans are made of blood.* *After the Quiet Rapture, four moons with blood oceans suddenly appeared, and you are plunged into the depths of AT-5.* *And if you take the pictures in spots C.O.I wants, they will grant you your freedom. That is the deal. If you get the job done, you'll be free.*

Campaign Name: Danger at Gravehill System: D&D 5e VTT/Platform: Owlbear Rodeo & Discord (Mic is required, webcam is optional) GM: Jareen2 (me) Allowed Content: Basic D&D content, Criticall Role content, If you want homebrew or further third party content, message me to see if I allow it Not allowed content: Homebrew/third party content (unless discussed with me), Custom Lineage, Subclasses that focus on Necromancy About me: I am an experienced Dungeon Master looking for people to join me in my self-written adventure of “Danger at Gravehill”. I have been playing D&D since August 2020 and running D&D since November the same year. This campaign is relative beginner friendly as we do have already two experienced players (me and the other player). And we are more then happy to explain where needed. It has some horror themes to it so be aware of it. Player count: 4/5 Story: Gravehill is a quite peaceful town that has been run by Lord Bucksly and his wife. There is nothing really unique about the town. Although it does have a great yearly market with lots of stuff to sell. Maybe you just want to grab a pint in The Laughing Donkey, maybe you want to buy some cheese or just if your invited attend one of Lord Bucksly many parties. But this time you guys are not here for that. Strange stuff happened on graveyard on the hill that gave this town its name. People claim to see strange stuff and people who did go there never returned. So Lord Bucksly is getting kind of paranoid as people start to flee the town and it will ruin his image. So he send 4-5 brave adventurers 4-5 letters to meet him in his manor as soon as possible! Starting Time: Sunday at 8pm CET/CEST (GMT+1/GMT+2) Session Length: 2-3 hours on average. Starting Level: 3 Stats: Rolled (with proof to DM) Starting Items: Standard Starting Equipment Don't play if your sensitive to: Necromancy, Undead, Death, Murder, also note. I did use AI for character token art for NPC because I lacked budget to get custom art made to match my vision. Further questions can be asked via my discord

"Icewind Dale is a land of extremes. It is a place of brutal cold and endless night, where the sun appears as a pale, weak imitation of its former self, never rising far above the horizon before sinking again. The land is covered in a blanket of snow and ice, and the wind howls like a banshee, driving snow and ice before it. The people who live here are hardy and resilient, but even they are beginning to lose hope. Auril the Frostmaiden, the divine embodiment of winter's fury, has cast a spell over the land, one that prevents the sun from ever rising to its full height" Game Information: Module: Rime of the Frostmaiden Type of Play: Digital (Roll20, Discord call) Levels: 1-12, Milestone leveling (Currently Lvl 4) Party comp: Circle of Stars Aasimar Druid, Drakewarden Tiefling Ranger, Eldritch Knight Human Fighter Platform: Discord, Roll20, DnDBeyond Sourcebooks: All of them, via content sharing Available slots: Looking for 3 players hopefully. Searching an DM

LOOKING FOR DM We are a group of 5 looking for a dm who is willing to run a game that contains high fantasy and can adapt with homebrewing (ie. players creating their character home lands, custom classes, races, etc). We prefer to play around 1pm - 6pm gmt ( 8am - 1pm est ), we also need someone who is lgbtqa+ friendly, is ok with a heavy swearing, and a dm who doesn't fall in love with their players. We each have characters and stories ranging from simple paragraph to page long backstories we would like to play, and a good chunk of us prefer problem solving and roleplaying focused games than combat ( 60/40 range). Our games tend to be general trigger warnings as the stories we like to follow are relatively darker in material, so keep that in mind. Some of us have talents that can assist the game, (ie. One of our players can draw maps, One of our players can draw, etc ) We do have 2 minors within the group, one being 16 (06/04/09) and 17 (08/01/08) Please feel free to send me a message if interested Discord: alarak05

The Rot That Follows | ELDRITCH HORROR CAMPAIGN |

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
THIS IS NOW AN ACTIVE CAMPAIGN MONDAY GROUP WILL HAVE SESSION 2 next Monday  Online Campaign  Uses discord and roll20 ▪︎●▪︎●▪︎●▪︎ THE ROT THAT FOLLOWS  A Story-Driven Eldritch Horror Campaign in the Forgotten Realms You survive a nautiloid crash. You wash ashore in Seabrooke a coastal village that is literally sinking into the sea. Homes are half-submerged. The docks are rotting. People are disappearing. The poor are being “relocated” by order of Lord Darius Therin, the noble who controls the wealthy quarter above the flooding streets. The guards say it’s for their own safety. It isn’t. There’s something spreading through Seabrooke. People call it the Rot. No one agrees on what it is a plague, curse, or something far older. But it’s changing people. And Lord Therin knows more than he’s letting on. This campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms and leans heavily into eldritch horror, political tension, and slow building dread. ▪︎●▪︎●▪︎● What You Can Expect Strong focus on story and character choices Roleplay-heavy sessions with meaningful consequences Cosmic horror and creeping mystery Moral grey areas- no obvious “good” answers Milestone leveling (no XP tracking) Rule of Cool always welcome I run games that prioritize immersion and momentum. If something is dramatic, creative, and fits the moment, we’ll make it work. I’m more interested in telling a compelling story together than stopping the game to argue over edge-case mechanics. ▪︎●▪︎●▪︎●▪︎ This Game Is For You If: You enjoy darker fantasy with unsettling themes You like unraveling mysteries over time You want your character’s backstory to matter You prefer narrative weight over dungeon crawling grind ▪︎●▪︎●▪︎●▪︎ Seabrooke is sinking. The Rot is spreading. And something beneath the surface is watching. If that sounds like your kind of story, I’d love to have you at the table. ▪︎●▪︎●▪︎●▪︎ Spots  Monday 6pm [1/7] 15 pound per session. A minimum of 4 players needed to start. LAIRS OF ETHARIS - Hardcore Ruleset Campaign

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
DEEP IN THE SOUTHERN HEART OF ETHARIS, THE COMPANY OF FREE SWORDS FOLLOWS ONE SIMPLE CREED: "IF WE MUST DEPRIVE THIS WORLD OF FATHER, BROTHERS, AND SONS, AND BE KILLED AS WE DO SO, LET IT BE FOR THE HIGHEST COIN, THAT WE MAY DIE CONTENT." === At the edges of Charnault lies the city of Voros. High-walls and garrisons enclose enclaves of knights and the Headquarters of the Company of Free Swords; a mercenary organization with its own bite and influence amongst the dangers and turmoil of Etharis. Contractors for coin, the Company sets out into the wilds battling foes of any kind, be them man or beast alike. You have found yourself just outside of Voros, at a Company encampment answering a missive for 'warm bodies to seek criminals fleeing the Castinellan Province of Corova.' Simple enough. Whatever your reasons, you have found yourself here, and have signed on to contract with Deleth Brunn; a Company man, promising 30 gold for every man who lives long enough to seek the Castinellan fugitives, and return alive. Nearly a month's wage in one swift job. Only a fool would say no. === Hey, everyone! I'm Em, seeking 4-5 players for a Lairs of Etharis setting campaign. In addition to the above hook, check out the campaign's details HERE --> Campaign Info <--, and then respond with a DM here on Groupfinder, or send me a message on Discord @ coffeeopeia with the following questions answered if you'd like to join! This post is also available on DnD Beyond cross-posted there.  - Name: - Age Range: 18-25, 26-30, 31-35, etc., pls don't doxx yourself - Experience w/DnD or TTRPG Systems: - What do you like most about DnD? - Are you willing to commit to a high-RP, intense hardcore-game table? - Will you commit to having fun, respecting your fellow players and DM? - Are you ok with a campaign dealing with mature topics and scenarios? - What kind of players would you like to join up with? What kind of DM are you looking for? Keep in mind that this is a hardcore ruleset campaign, so players will roll for RACE/SPECIES, STATS, and REGION OF ORIGIN. Etharis is also considered a Grimdark campaign setting, so keep in mind that this campaign will have mature topics/ subjects within. 18+ ONLY!!!!!! All folks of all walks of life welcome at my tables.

Rappan Athuk [GMT+9.5 Saturday, 6pm]

Looking for a pack of doomed fools to Hack and Slash their way through the infamous megadungeon, Rappan Athuk! This is a mindless, demented grind through 56 levels of pure dungeon idiocy. You will find no romance here, no political intrigue. Just an endless slog of pure unadulterated dungeoncrawling. The kind of D&D your dad used to play. Or maybe even your dad's dad. I'm trying something new here (or old, really). And I realise this is definitely not for everybody. This will be a highly lethal, and generally pretty unfair campaign. You will plunder the depths of the deep underdark, just trying to survive, and limp back to daylight with hopefully a bit more treasure in your pockets than when you went in. I want to try to capture the feel of the sprawling megadungeon. I want the players to explore an endless and inhospitable environment. There will be a lot of combat. It will be brutal. Characters will die, and your eight page backstory will not save you. But also, at the same time, I think I want to explore the logic behind the dungeon. I want to know why this enormous dungeon is the way it is. I want to investigate the ecology behind the dungeon. I want this vast and subterranean world to feel alive. There will still be capacity for plenty of roleplaying, lateral thinking, and factional diplomacy. The vibe will be very tongue in cheek. Lethal, grim and perilous, yes. But certainly not very serious. If you're amused by dying in new and terrible ways, then you're going to get along just fine. This will be an ongoing campaign, played weekly-ish, very LGBT and diversity friendly, but not friendly to life, generally. It will be played over Roll20 and Discord. Looking for chill peeps and chaotic vibes. Please complete the following questionnaire if you are interested, and I will be in contact over Discord: https://forms.gle/kxsc7u2sHvMjHbQL6 DON'T GO DOWN THE WELL.

Echoes-Beyond-Realms

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Brief Description of setting: General vibe has fun daftness of a mostly at sea adventure set in a high fantasy homebrew world with some modest Lovecraftian cosmic horror aspects on serious story details while also taking some mild inspiration from Ebberon, and various comic/anime nods. Setting is based in a world with odd occurrences of rifts to various planes, usually dangerous but somewhat controlled in parts. It is a more exotic race/species friendly world, so not human or preferably not human-esk or commonly used fitting in types. In its origin and in the present some of the average in power common races would be Dragonborn, Drow, Varied Genasi, Tiefling of many coloration and minor mix, Goblinoids, Kobold, and various more animal related folk. I do play in some personalised design flavour with such eg: an aarakocra may be designed to be like a bluejay, robin or cardinal. Other bigger world history topics enlightening more to the lack of human populace, cosmic phenomenon and certain hostilities/indifferences between other types of species can be discussed. I try to make good use of character backgrounds and their species connections to world to fuel story, adding and altering as things evolve. On going Party: Water Genasi Warlock- making up for Deep sea cultist history. Kalashtar (Differently designed in origin via other species mix) Blood hunter - dealing with corrupted memory and past related to kidnapping. Fairy Bard - consciousness escaped from a variant of the deck of many Void card and found her body remains minimal in a clockwork toy. Story in motion: The group of female adventurers began on the docks of a central city of my own homebrew world with former players who each had life causes need for taking leave though still their characters are regarded as npc in story. The group has since made their way on seas with strange encounters and new understandings of phenomena linking them. When venturing on the ocean floor after backstory relevant face offs and timeline altering's the group gradually bonded further before having to take on a mission off world in aid of a friend's plight. When the game is:  Fortnightly Sunday eves 5 till 10, start and end is likely a bit in ways of player chatter and ease on to timing of game if we get straight in may end early at time, but either way we usually have mini break. Time/Country: Due to prior difficulty I'd prefer players to be located for 5pm-10pm GMT. Rule/Play Style: High magic with mild steampunk pirate stuff but mainly Fantasy Horror vibes, RP and combat 60/40. Chunks of story can be capable of leaning the odd bit to one more than other. Hombrewy/RuleOfCool-we have homebrew rules with things like exhaustion and crits damage and attunement slots, nothing unlikely to be all too unheard of but primarily we aim for character story lead rulings for well formed character design and in play character related ideas. Resources/VTT needed: voice and vid -Discord, dnd beyond, roll20. New PC starting Level: 7 (up via milestones)with a feat from start and with 4th lvl as well as ability mod- https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/432602/echoes-beyond-realms *--See roll20 link above for other about me/group details and applications. -- *2014/2024 rule use is covered mildly on link but ultimately as the majority of rules are 2014 into Tashas and vast personalised house rulings we have, I can at best say there is mild openness to newer rules being i see it as modest differences from what we already have in place.

Hi everyone! As the title of this post says we are a couple of Players looking for a DM who'd be interested in running Curse of Strahd for us. Currently we are four Players (ages 19 to 25) who simply love this silly little game and especially the CoS module. All of us have D&D experience with two of us having experience with Curse of Strahd as well. Our timezones are a bit of a mix (GMT+2/+3 and EDT) but Sunday evenings GMT should work great for us. We would also be open to discussing other days/times to play at if needed. All in all, we are all roleplay oriented players who love interacting with the setting and characters around them. We welcome and are happy with homebrew additions and even though the tag says 5e we would be happy to try 5.5e out as well!  If this sounds like fun to you or you'd like to join our little group just let me know either on here or on discord! Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
One thousand years in the future, all civilizations crumble after a new monster takes over the world. They don't hunt like normal animals or monsters. They hunt tactically. They set traps, lure in their prey by using familiar sounds and always stick together. The only time they ever separate is when they know the prey is an easy kill or if they believe it. (These monsters have no name rn cause so far it's js an idea with one play and dm). The players are the last remaining hunters of these monsters. Everyone else either died trying to help end them or they quit not willing to lose their lives.  If interested you can contact me here but preferably on discord, user:masterofmimics1, as I check it more often than here.

Shadows over the East - The Forgotten Realms

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Shadows over the East A Player-Driven Sandbox in the Unapproachable East Mondays at 5pm GMT The lands of the East have endured a long, bitter decline. Demon cults whisper in the shadows once more. The noble courts of Impiltur and Damara, once bulwarks of justice, rot from within—nobles trading oaths for coin while the Church of the Triad wanes beneath the weight of corruption. To the north, the broken tribes of Narfell cling to survival amid the haunted ruins of their demon-binding past. To the south, the Great Dale teeters on the edge of chaos—its northern reaches infested with fiend-spawn, while the druids of Leth guard the southern forests and trust few outsiders. And across it all, the veil between worlds grows thin. In lonely forests, forgotten barrows, and beneath the cities of men. Things that should not be slip through, leaving only fear and ruin in their wake. In these uncertain times, salvation—or damnation—will not come from kings or gods. It will come from those who choose to act. A Living World, Shaped by Its People Shadows over the East is a character-driven sandbox campaign set in the Unapproachable East (Forgotten Lands). The story unfolds through player choices—alliances formed, oaths broken, and the moral weight of survival in a world sliding toward darkness. The details are yours to define—what you serve, what you’ve lost, and what you hope to reclaim. These ties will shape how the East sees you—and how you choose to shape it in return. The Campaign Tone Dark Realism, Flickering Hope. The East is weary but not lost. Consequences Matter. Factions remember, and choices echo. Personal Stakes. Faith, legacy, and redemption lie at the heart of every story. Campaign plays at 5pm GMT Mondays. Cost is $15 per session. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmngivpu300jwl504q2qnyacz

Looking to try out Gming

I am looking to try my hand at GMing, the setting i have is a bit complex but it is a world where the sun is gone, the sun god has been slain by an unnamed assassin; the world is in perpetual night, most of the world is swallowed by a curtain of darkness, shadowy beasts and abominations prowl the countryside, and cults have risen up to preach gospels of death. Mages of arcane nature are corralled and trained to become living batteries for the good of the world while those who flee work towards a solution while being hunted. The Council and the Mages' Enclave have sent their requests for adventurers to aid in their endeavors. This campaign allows you to choose to join up with the Council (the current governing body) or the Mages' Enclave (a group of radical mages and like minded thinkers working while being hunted my mage hunters). This campaign will be run around 6PM CST on fridays the party is currently level 5 and taking them to ideally level 20, backgrounds will be changed as this is a homebrew setting with certain races altered a little to fit the world's narrative; more of the story will be explained and any questions are welcome, if you are interested in joining; send me a message on here.

The Ashen Throne

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hey everyone! We’re a friendly, established group of three (one DM, two players) based in the greater Waterbury, Connecticut area looking to bring in two to three more players for an in-person homebrew campaign. About the Campaign Our DM is running a fully original homebrew world with a heavy roleplay focus. The big thing that makes this campaign special is that your character’s backstory will be actively woven into the story — your history, your motivations, and your character’s world will matter and show up at the table. This is not a hack-and-slash game. It’s a character-driven, story-rich experience where who your character is matters as much as what they can do. Setting is fantasy — any class or race that fits a classic fantasy world is welcome. The one notable restriction is no advanced technology (no firearms or gun-based classes). Everything else is pretty much on the table. Backstory You are heavily encouraged to write a backstory for your character. There’s no hard minimum or maximum — half a page is fine, ten pages is welcome. The more you put in, the more the DM has to work with and the more your character will feel like part of the world. About Us Several of our core players have played together before across multiple campaigns. We’re intermediate to advanced players who take roleplay seriously but keep the table fun and welcoming. No drama, no gatekeeping, just people who want to tell a good story together. Voices and accents are encouraged but absolutely not required — be yourself. What We’re Looking For Someone who: • Can commit to weekly or every-other-week sessions on Sundays around 2-3PM in person in the Waterbury, CT area • Is punctual and reliable — sessions start on time • Wants to genuinely roleplay and engage with the story, not just roll dice • Is friendly, easygoing, and brings good energy to the table • Is excited about a long-term campaign, not just a one-off • Can write at least some backstory for their character • Is nonaggressive and easy to get along with How It Starts We’ll kick things off with a one-shot session — low stakes, get to know each other, see if the vibe works for everyone. If it clicks, we move into the full campaign together. The Basics • System: D&D 5.5e (2024) • Location: Greater Waterbury, CT — in person • Schedule: Sundays, approximately 2-3PM, weekly to every other week • Experience level: Intermediate to advanced preferred • Current group: 1 DM + 2 players, looking for 2-3 more • Cost: Free If this sounds like your kind of game drop a comment or send a DM. Tell us a little about yourself and what kind of character or story you’d want to bring to the table. Looking forward to meeting you.

What's up guys! I am here to get some extra players for my fourth campaign in this ever expanding story of The Edge Of Monster Hunting. In the last campaign the party defeated the king of monsters Alucard and made his high tier monster army run away into the deep earth, even deeper than the Underdark. The cost was the world's greatest protector, Ezekial Hellheim- who was the strongest Monster Hunter for years! 17 years after the third campaign/season we now follow a party who are going to graduate their first year of the Monster Hunter Academy, where the party must fight off a new threat who is closer than they think. PREFERED AGES ARE 19 AND UNDER (My party and me are minors and we'd prefer to keep it at least somewhat near our age.) FEMALE PLAYERS WANTED (I am simply trying to have party gender balance to have a bit more povs and I lowk want more female characters) IF INTERESTED ADD ME ON DISCORD!!: redrangerrrr

Mondays 21hs EST through discord and foundryvtt. Weekly. 10usd through startplaying: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmn6k8xk2003xjm04aejfsp7f?ref=cmlttd0e900mvl804vumw8d5h The party has just reached Wickermoor Hollow, the main town of the game. Currently at level 3 You didn't buy this ticket. You don't remember receiving it. But somehow, it ended up in your hands — and now the train is here. The Ghostlight Express is a spectral train that ferries souls to the afterlife. Your journey through the mists of death leaves you stranded in the mysterious valley of Wickermoor Hollow — where isolated peoples are terrorized by restless dead, wicked hags, ravenous monsters, and many other creatures of a night that never ends. Somewhere in this crooked land, a Crooked Man grins beneath a Crooked Tree. He hears the whispers of something ancient and hungry. And it has noticed you. The Crooked Moon is a massive folk horror campaign drawing inspiration from grim folklore, legendary horror films, and classic Halloween aesthetics — set in Druskenvald, a demiplane of endless night where the living and dead coexist. This is not a world of shining heroes and clear-cut evil. This is a world of dread, wonder, difficult choices and stories that will haunt you long after the session ends. This campaign is built around: 🌲 Folk horror atmosphere — think Midsommar, The Witch, and Sleepy Hollow at the table 🚂 A phantom train, haunted valleys and creatures straight out of dark folklore 🎭 Deep roleplay with morally complex NPCs and a living, breathing cursed community 🃏 A Tarot-style fate system that makes every playthrough unique 👹 11 legendary boss monsters including the Wicker Man, the Ghost Train and the Horned King Perfect for: — Players who want horror that gets under their skin — not just jump scares — Groups who love rich lore, mystery and a world that feels genuinely dangerous — Veterans looking for something completely different from traditional D&D — Anyone who's ever wanted their backstory to actually matter in the story The Crooked Moon won second place for the 2025 TechRaptor Tabletop Game of the Year and was named one of the best TTRPGs of 2025 by Game Informer. This is the real deal.

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
A warlock orc, a kobold warrior, a drow ranger and a human sorcerer are waiting for their final partner. The group has already completed the first dungeon and has reached Phandalin, but the story has just begun. You will start at level 2 to match the party We play fridays at 6pm EST through foundry and discord. The entry fee is 9usd through startplaying https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmmx1kvdw00tejx048uewa9ow A small frontier town. A buried secret. A threat that watches from the dark. Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk begins as a classic sword-and-sorcery adventure: you arrive in the rugged frontier settlement of Phandalin, a town full of opportunity, tension, and hidden agendas. What starts as a straightforward job quickly unravels into something far stranger and far more dangerous. Ancient ruins stir beneath the earth. Whispers spread through the countryside. People begin acting… differently. And the deeper you dig, the clearer it becomes: something old and alien is pushing its way into the light. This campaign blends: ⚔️ Classic heroic fantasy and dungeon delving 🕵️ Mystery and investigation 🧠 Creeping cosmic horror elements 🏘️ A living town that reacts to your choices 📈 A full character journey from low levels into high-stakes play Perfect for: New players who want a strong narrative backbone Veterans who enjoy layered threats and escalating tension Groups who like their fantasy with a touch of the uncanny You’ll explore lost locations, protect (or endanger) a struggling town, uncover long-buried truths, and decide how far you're willing to go when the enemy isn’t just physical—but psychological.

Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen

Looking for 1-3 people who are interested in a weekly game taking place on the weekend. Exact time will be figured out by the core players. I’d want interested people to be able to show up about 75-80% of the time, since in practice, we’d miss some percentage much larger than that. The campaign is Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen. The players are presently level 5. The rules involve a lot of homebrew. The main goals of that homebrew are to increase the pace of combat, increase tradeoffs for ability scores, and make downtime more meaningful. While some of the rules are new, most of them are just ports from older editions of D&D.  The basic campaign has the characters take on the role of an elite squad in the military that is resisting the conquest of the Red Dragon Army, which has been sweeping the continent. In Dragonlance, arcane magic is regulated by the Tower of High Sorcery, while divine magic is rare, as the gods had previously abandoned the world and are only now just returning. The campaign has a tie-in board game to enact larger scale battles in the war. We had been toying with a lower commitment campaign, but ran into the limitations of that. In practice, that means that none of the original core players will continue on as core players. We will still be experimenting a bit with sidekicks, which can potentially be controlled by guest players when they’re able to show up. Changing the core players means I’m only somewhat tied to continuing Dragonlance in particular. If you like the idea of playing a homebrew 5e campaign weekly on weekends, but are struggling to get excited about dragonlance, then I’d be happy to hear from you. I’d also be happy to hear from anyone in a similar-ish situation (trying to run a weekly weekend game but struggling to find enough players) to see if we can join forces. Some other notes: We would probably plan to start in June, though we could obviously plan characters and such beforehand. While I don’t mind teaching people how to play, and in fact expect to do so, I would prefer people who understand the time commitment of a campaign. Relatedly, I’d prefer people who are willing to iterate a few times on character creation until we get something that feels good/fitting for all involved, rather than people who want to play an extremely specific character regardless. While character death isn’t guaranteed or required, it is possible, and if the rules say your character dies, your character will almost always die, except in some special cases. Recall that while this isn’t a true meat grinder, there are no temples with working clerics, either. The goal is to make new friends to play with, not play the game for the sake of it, so let's make sure we like each other before we get too deep.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
The Great Galactic war is over. At least, on paper. In the uneasy years following the Treaty of Coruscant, Balmorra stands as one of the galaxy’s most bitterly contested worlds. Captured by the Sith Empire after the Republic was forced to retreat from the planet's surface, the planet’s abundant minerals and factories now churn out weapons, droids and supplies for Imperial war fleets, while its people live under curfews, surveillance, and the constant presence of Sith overseers. Officially, the war is over. On Balmorra, it never truly ended. The Empire’s iron grip is purchased through military governors, Sith apprentices and minor lords hungry for prestige and advancement, and collaborators promised safety in exchange for obedience. But concealed within the margins of the official imperial census and hidden beneath the watchful eyes of Imperial intelligence and Sith alike, the fight for Balmorra continues, carried on by those who remember what freedom felt like, and who are willing to fight, and die for it. They are outgunned, fractured, and hunted, but they are not broken. Players will join this secret war, be they Republic intelligence, Jedi, Resistance members, Smugglers, Bounty Hunters or even turncoats from the Empire, a shared camaraderie binds all together. Missions will decide the fate of supplies, prototype weapons, and entire districts. Every success brings the dawn a little bit closer, while failure may finally allow the Sith Empire to choke the life out of Balmorra. This is a resistance based campaign inspired by Andor set in the time of the Old Republic, played on the Star Wars 5e System!  Game Details: Session Time: Tuesdays, 8PM EST System: SW5E  Party Size: 3-5  $20 Weekly on Startplaying

[5e 2014] [LGBTQ+] [18+] Need 4-5 Players | Beginner Friendly | Waterdeep: Dragon Heist First off, Session times for this campaign are Tueadays at 3:00 PM PST/PDT through Discord. The session time is negotiable, provided it works within everyone's schedule. Hello! My name is Drew (22 y/o | he/they) and this is my first time DMing something other than a oneshot lol. I'm looking for 2 Players (of any experience) who prioritize roleplay, engage with worldbuilding, and enjoy collaborative storytelling. If you are homophobic, ableist, transphobic, racist, misogynist, xenophobic, etc. then this campaign is not for you. If you are looking for a strictly combat-focused campaign then this might not be for you either, sorry! That being said though, there will still be a decent amount of combat encounters so please let me know if you need any help :D! You'll be starting at Level 1, and I'm aiming to recruit atleast 4-5 other players for the table. I'm aiming to have everything ready for this campaign by the start of June hopefully, so we will begin actual Sessions on the first Saturday of June. This campaign will not be using generative AI in any way, shape, or form. The favorite food password is "peanut butter on pizza." If you condone or plan to use generative AI in your character creation process or otherwise then this campaign is not for you. We're going to be using the platform, FoundryVTT. Please dont let that dissuade you if you are used to other platforms such as Roll20. I am more than willing to give a tour of the platform, help you figure out certain player-specific features, and answer any questions you may have. If you are so interested, I will include the link to the worldbuilding material below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KhqhHNY5m21AUnHBCh1AXQ1ZlSzroxbV/view?usp=sharing Sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSePHUmYnMX_Mgd87jA6tifNNVQRWg76Dz4rXsB3CFABkRK9og/viewform?usp=dialog

The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hi everyone! We are a group of friends looking to play some Curse of Strahd, currently searching for a DM and maybe 1-2 more players to join us. We already have three people ready to get thrown into the horrors of Barovia, and while the group works by itself it could always have more players. We're based in Europe (Germany/Finland, GMT+2/+3), we can talk about more scheduling later. We're all queer and leftist so we'd hope for a DM and players who wouldn't see that as a problem. Only one of us is new to CoS, while the other two have another on-going CoS campaign. We really love the module and would love to have more Curse of Strahd in our lives. Everyone has prior D&D experience, 5e (2014) is usually our choice but are also open to 2024/homebrew.  We're dedicated players who especially like character development, roleplay and lore aspects of the game but really enjoy it all and just want to play more D&D. We are looking for someone who would't mind a weekly or bi-weekly game. Everyone is 18+ and we would like to keep it that way especially since this module does have darker themes. If you are interested just send a message my way and let me know: What should we call you? Are you over 18? Do you have any experience with D&D/CoS? My discord is: periwnkleblue

Curse of Stradh  Group of 5 Players Seeking DM – Horror Campaign. Hello! We are an established group of five players looking for a DM to run a horror-themed campaign. Our previous game, Curse of Strahd Reloaded, ended early after our DM stepped away due to personal circumstances, and we decided to continue together. We found another DM to pick up, but he realised life was too busy at the moment for him to start another game. Our experience ranges from intermediate to advanced, some being DMs,  with several years playing D&D 5e 2014 and 2024 rules. Everyone in the group is comfortable with mechanics, participates actively in roleplay, communicates clearly, and maintains a cooperative table environment. Group Details • 5 players • Availability: Sundays at 7 PM EST (weekly) • Platform: Discord voice + Roll20 / Foundry or similar VTT • Playstyle: Roleplay-forward with strong atmosphere • Campaign preference: Horror / gothic tone • Curse of Strahd Reloaded We are looking for a GM interested in running a narrative-focused horror experience for the group. Cheers

Fabric of time

Time isnt what it seems,  you got slung out of your life, your realm, your time. Now you, together with a few others are trying to find a way back.  Along that path you realize there is a reason you have been chosen and not any other person. And why this group has been brought together specifically. And that going back to how things were may not be a choice anymore. We haven't started yet! So now is your time to join. Session 0 will be a one-shot type of adventure so everyone can get to know one another, each other characters and the world we will be playing in. Hi! Im cas 15-16F and new to dnd (outside of my hours of watch time online, I have never played) If you dont want to join cause i am to young thats all good but if your interested pls contact me on somewhere that isnt here, i dont look here too often... Outside of that, i just want a good group to play with that makes the time spend in preparation worth it. - that means that outside of you being nice, welcoming and a "normal" human being i dont ask for any money or anything. I like a good joke and homebrue is almost always welcome just run it by me and your pretty much good to go.  This campaign is mainly roleplay, minmaxing is theoretically allowed but I personally dont like it. Outside of that know that i try to get a bit of combat every session but can't promise as you as players decide in what direction the story will go. Add me on insta or Snapchat. (I dont have discord because of past experiences with shitty people.) Insta/snap = cas_u331 (Preferably snapchat tho...)

Pirate Campaign

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hey! Me and three friends are currently looking for a DM who’d be interested in running a campaign for us. We’re an active and committed group that really enjoys roleplay, story, and just having a good time together. In return, we’d love to offer you a spot in our own ongoing D&D campaign as a player! So you’d get the chance to both DM for us and be part of a separate adventure on the side. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, feel free to reach out! You can add me on Discord: **diran5804**.

Treasurehunt in Mioridask

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
The World Mioridask is a world made and defined by dragons. Its societies are split into those that worship dragons for their protection and benevolence, and those who believe in the freedom of individuals. Both sides fight for their beliefs, and kingdoms rise or fall out of pettiness and determination from either side. You, however, are no king. Not a peasant anymore either. By the end of the campaign, you are hopefully a hero. The Campaign The tone of the campaign is generally light-hearted, but there will be serious and tragic events as well. While I incorporate mature themes into my storytelling, this won't devolve into a gore or smut fest. I‘m planning to run a story where you are the good guys, the hero in this draconian system. The campaign will follow a linear storytelling. That means that I have a story in mind that I want to tell with you, which will incorporate your character‘s background as well. How you reach your goal is up to you, but I, as the DM, will determine what the goal is. I‘ve tried sandbox-style campaigns before and found that I don‘t enjoy them (and am also not good at running them). Your choices WILL matter, but if your choice is to rob a bank when the quest is to protect a village, then the group will choose that you aren‘t a good fit. The split between combat and roleplay will be 40/60. Exploration will sometimes take place but won’t be the focus. We’ll play over Discord and use Foundry for battlemaps and rolls. Cams are encouraged but not enforced or required. We'll start at lvl 1 and go all the way to 15. Possibly followed by some one-shot style adventures post main story to level 20. The Hook You‘ll start in the territory of the „Tribes of Stone“, a desert where most people live underground to escape the burning heat and dangerous monsters that hide in the sand. Access to magic here is rare, so when a merchant‘s delivery, which includes a spell scroll, gets lost on its way to the capital, he hires you to retrieve the wares. This mission is part of a 2-3 shot we‘ll use to get comfortable with each other and determine if the players and DM (me) work as a D&D group. This quest will then lead into the main campaign. I as a DM I’m Anna, 29 years old. A quick note to me and my DMing style: Rule of cool is great if you have a fantastic and creative idea, but in the end, we are playing 5e, so those rules count. I want to tell a story together with you, not "win". I've been DMing for around 8 years now, and this is the second time I'll run a campaign in this world. I’ve learned a lot from the first time and am itching to apply that. You as a player Members of the LGBTQ+ spectrum and women are explicitly encouraged to apply! You should be able to carry a scene but also know when others deserve the spotlight. I’m not looking for min-maxers, but your character shouldn’t be a burden to the team, like a cleric with low wisdom. You can be a new or experienced player, and I’ll try to get a nice mix of both in the final party. If this sounds like a Campaign you’d be interested in joining, please apply through this link. I’ll get back to people I want to have a chat with by Friday evening. https://forms.gle/dNiXQcsM7ENagLyU9

Dungeons of Drakkenheim

Fridays at 5pm GMT. We'll use discord for voice and dndbeyond for sheets. **DRAKKENHEIM IS NO MORE.** An eldritch storm of falling stars devastated the city on that woeful eve, leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and haunted by hideous monsters. Fantastic wealth, lost knowledge, and powerful artifacts lie ready for the taking by adventurers brave or foolish enough to venture into the ruins. However, even those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return unmarked by its terrors!

The Little Kingdoms: A mostly homebrewed campaign

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Hihi! Welcome to Lumi's Roomies, I'm Lumen, with a year or so experience of GMing under my belt! Granted, it's not a highly impressive number but I've been an avid roleplayer for more than 5 years now and consume media pretty voraciously (although mostly books rather than TV shows or movies). *Inhales*: Shameless bragging, but since this is a fantasy world of my own creation that I've been working on for years at this point, this campaign does allow for a very wide range of player agency since I'm confident I'll be able to adapt to any situation or decision (as long as it's rational!) This campaign is about the adventure of an unlikely group of allies in the Little Kingdoms, a set of 5 small, aspiring empires tucked away between the Lorithian forests, Wei and Lai, haunted by returning spirits and behind the rumbling mountains of Azlith, an ancient god. With the forces of evil returning and the forests seeking to bridge the gap that separated them, and a malevolent entity feeding Azlith's reduced form with energy to harness his power, the political and military disputes between these kingdoms seems superficial in comparison.. and yet the humans and elves will continue to wage war on each other despite the mounting threats. Try to find a nice way to thread the needle between these two conflicts and save everyone, or don't - it's up to you. We will be playing point-buy, starting at level 3 all the way to.. I'm not sure! It could be level 10, 15, even to 20 depending on how the campaign goes. We'll be using Avrae and voicechat, Foundry VTT. In terms of times, please be free from 6pm-1am in AEDT timezone, which is GMT+10:00 at the moment: check your availability Application here: Link - just to check if we mesh well. Information: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmmzkwjth01bzl504davwhq3m Disclaimer: I have a more unique take on the mix between combat and roleplay, so prepare for some more interconnectedness! I am also, still, a fairly inexperienced DM so I hope you have a bit of patience with me at times. I also expect that once you declare your available times that you commit to those timeslots! Of course, life happens and things change and that's understandable, but try to be accurate with your availability.

[Wed-6PM] Descent into Avernus

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
Hello, everyone. I am Smet, 32yo male, I am running a dnd game on Wednesdays, starting at 6 PM GMT, going for about 3-4 hours on average. We use Discord for voice chat, Roll 20 for virtual table top, Dnd Beyond for character tracking and Beyond 20 extention for those 2 websites to communicate and streamline the experience. Currently the table consists of 2 players. Characters of those players are lvl11 paladins (which is above current adventure level, but I am adjusting). One is Fear-control tank type pure paladin, another is warlock-paladin focused on dealing damage in close combat. Player ages are 37 and 28 (we welcome anyone mature/20+) You will be joining them in the process of figuring out, how to get city of Elturel from the first layer of hell, called Avernus. You will be same level as existing charactrers (level 11) and we progress by milestone. You also will benefit from one extra feat and 2 magic items - rare and an uncommon (Items will have to be reviewed by me as some items like Flame Tongue Swords ruin balance) I am looking for more or less mature people with at least some knowledge of the game (how combat works, how skills are done, a tiny bit understanding of Faerun setting). I am Russian myself, hope there aren't issues with that for you. I plan to have a session 0 next wednesday (06.may.2026), where we'll get to meet each other, chat for a little, figure out bounds and even (maybe, possibly) introduce characters to the campaign and join up the groups if everything goes fast. It's unlikely there will be any combat for that session, so not all parts of your character has to be prepared. From you I ask to have a character basic concept prepared - idea of who they are, where they are comming from; (Optional: 1-2 noteworthy people in their life, and what their character want to achieve in their career) . Stats are either point buy, default array or roll (but that has to be done with everyone present, during the game). Exotic races are allowed. If you have a prefered way to get to the Elturel - tell me (for example: you could teleport into the city as aid, get caught in the descent of the city and survive there until introduction, or arrive there as mercenaries in Blood War.) And as a heads up - I tend to have quite little prep for the session ahead of time and I tend to "wing it" most of the time. People enjoyed it so far. You are not required to have anything bought from DnD Beyond or Roll 20 to play and I don't ask for any fees either. Whole game is completely free. Hope to see your comments.

Loose Cannons of Luskan - following in Drizzt's footsteps. Hi, I'm a fledging & creative DM ready to unfold the chapters of a story set in one of the fantastic places straight from R.A.Salvatore's novels about Drizzt and the Companions of the Hall, set in the Forgotten Realms of Faerun. if you'd like to find yourself dashing through dangerous alleys and stumbling through seedy taverns of Luskan - the infamous City of Sails, where pirates & rogues feel right at home - then hop aboard, sailor. You can expect intrigue, rich roleplay, and paced combat - as long as you're friendly, easy-going, and curious. Starting at level 1, I plan to gather story companions, not just characters in a campaign, as I'd like to take you through many, many unforgettable sessions and stories.  We're about to start playing on Thursdays 6PM UK time.

Hey, I'm looking to DM for a small group of people (3), one of which would be my boyfriend. Campaign length and setting hasn't really been determined. We'd rather that be something we decide on as a group. We're more interested in finding people who's company we enjoy as opposed to those specifics. The Great plauge of Fe'zha

Hello! My name is Lyn/Alina, I am a relatively new DM looking for 2 more players to make 4 The campaign is set in the Nordic(?) island of Fe’zha, historically an island of battling kingdoms, until and infection quickly swept most of the island, leaving only a small sheltered area and another small island You will play as a member of the force assigned to fight the plague Many choose to fight, the island is their homeland after all, some are prisoners forced to fight from foreign lands, some come from said foreign lands to fight for their own reasons The world we are set in is my own world building project, its quite in the beta at the moment, HOWEVER, feel free to ask questions or even, add things to the world, with my permission of course Each player will have a private chat and an in-character channel so roleplay between players and NPCs can happen and is encouraged Timezone is GMT, we play on playing 6 to 8 on fridays but this is flexible Meet the Characters! I did interviews with each character and he is the result Faetris Rosefield: The Druid Raised in an isolated cabin in the woods surrounding totba the forest grew very close to her heart, she was a protector for all the wildlife, as the abundance of animals made it prone to poaching Solaris Staarbright: The Bard/Warlock (he promised me he will be normal) Solaris is an Elf from the Hedonistic town of Cearsflorre, a beautiful town all year round weather its the diamond dust snow fall of sinter or the everpresent cherry blossoms Before the war he was a travelling entertainer, mostly in flair mixology and erotic dancing He is a mostly self trained mixologist, he would order drinks and make notes of what they mixed and how He is saving up to start his own tavern in the mid plains of aurosol, his home land What you need: to be able to speak english, and simply a vague idea of a character!, I and the others are happy to help you develop them

Group of Experienced Players Looking for DM

No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
I've recently put together a solid group of veteran players, and we're on the hunt for an experienced DM to take the helm. We're a diverse bunch from a few different locales, but we've all managed to align our schedules and share a common vision for the kind of game we want to play. Here is a quick breakdown of what we are looking for: Schedule: We are looking to play on Sunday afternoon GMT+1. The Vibe: A mature, serious campaign. We want a game with depth where actions have consequences. Silliness isn't out, but it shouldn't be baked in. Style: We're looking for a DM that knows how to run combat well, but focuses on exploration and role-play. Not every session needs to be balanced, but there there should be more of the latter two. Stability: We are looking for a long-term, reliable table. We are a dedicated group ready to commit to showing up regularly, and we want a DM who is looking for that same consistency. The Campaign: We are completely open to either a homebrew world or an official module. We would love to find a DM who is down to chat with us and figure out exactly what kind of story we all want to tell together. A lot of us have DM'd previously and collectively own and care share either edition of 5e on Dndbeyond. We have the most experience with Roll20, but many of us have used other VTTs. A bit about us: Since we are all experienced with the game, you won't have to hold our hands with the rules or mechanics. We know how much work goes into running a campaign, and we respect the DM's time. We are just looking for a drama-free environment to roll some dice and build a narrative. If you're an experienced DM looking for a reliable group that is already assembled and ready to go, shoot me a message or drop a reply below. Let's chat and see if we're a good fit.

In the world of Nytheris, four great kingdoms once waged endless war:     Aurevyn, Kingdom of the Stars     Velarune, Kingdom of the Veil     Olyssakar, Kingdom of the Deep Waters     Averinthia, Kingdom of the Emerald Flame From their founding to the fall of countless minor realms, war was their language. Each sought to claim dominion over Nytheris. Just as Aurevyn prepared to deliver the final blow and unite the land under starlight, the skies blackened. A new land appeared on the edge of existence a country of absolute darkness. No stars. No sun. No name. Just a pull. A whisper. A hunger. Scouts were sent. They returned blind, babbling, mad. Yet in their madness were whispers, fragments of forgotten truths. For the first time in known history, the four kingdoms set aside their hatred. Together, they formed an alliance to explore this unnatural land, hoping to unlock its secrets. But once inside, they found horror. Light barely held back the dark. Creatures thought long gone or never real moved in the shadows. Time unraveled. Memory twisted. And the truth they sought may cost them more than war ever did. $20 per session the session zero and 1 are free  https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmo37x79400yhla04jx9bkge6?ref=clxg3ws7o0000rd1dw3ynzi2f
