Hi there! Festenia is a typical yet lovingly crafted classic fantasy Setting made by me and a lot of player input, with aspects of exploration and political conflict. We are a ongoing campaign but due to work one of our players had to leave for a unspecified amount of time although they might rejoin much later,  we made it to session three, and around session 5 you could join us! Currently the party consists of a Celestial Warlock and a psy warrior both freshly level 3 which you would be joining us at too. Players are incentivized to come up with a cool character using the 2024 Dnd rule set, content not yet ported over and other sources like hombrew are fine but require you to ask me first. I would describe the campaign as around 60% roleplay and 40% combat. You do not need to own any paid material and neither is paying an artist a requirement. A few words about the setting: Festenia is a diverse Fantasy world filled with all kind of mysteries and conflicts, currently political tensions between the normally peaceful Sitirian trade Federation, a group of multiple small coastline countries united under a central government with the hope of enabling quick, easy, safe and cost reducing sea trade between the multiple landmasses of Festenia, and the Dristin Empire, a nation priding themselves on their powerful military force and powerful political allies that provide them with the most advanced developments in weapon technology.  More details about the setting will be provided upon further interest. Anyone is welcome new players an i are pretty much in the same boat when it comes to playing so feel free to message me, as an info we are all around the age of 19-20. Schedule is absolutely set in stone and can at max be changed by plus or minus an hour. We will be using discord and roll 20.

Hello, Thought I would reach out to invite you to a game we are running on Monday. We need two more players to run it and I thought I would reach out to you. This is an age 18+ oneshot that uses 5.5e rules however the races are animal races. The race traits have been made and there are 7 races to choose from. The world has a rich lore for you to discover and I can't wait to share it with you. Currently I am looking for players to run through a game called Hunter's Delight, A one shot made within this world. I am looking for a maximum of 4 players. This will be my first time GMing an online game but not the first time playing online. It's a bit of a murder mystery but also quite funny too. I am happy for players to create their own characters. The level for the oneshot is level 10, and there are 5 premade characters I can share with you on D and D beyond if you are new to the game. The races we are using are beastfolk, as in animal people, not people who can transform into animals. I hombrewed the races and the race traits are it little confusing and could do with some tailoring so we have decided to use the standard races from DND 5.5e and just flavour the race traits to the seven beastfolk races in the homebrew world. These races include: * Eaglefolk * Vulturefolk *Lionfolk *Cheetahfolk *Hyenafolk and Tigerfolk There are two slots open so please let me know as soon as you can if you can join. I've made it to be fun, quirky but yet exciting and, of course, violent. I have very much enjoyed creating a whole range of NPCs and scenarios and have very much enjoyed producing quite a bit of art for it, especially map wise. It is a game that is roleplay heavy and combat heavy as well. Would love to share this with you if you are available.  Hope to see you soon.

Inferno A Dante's Inferno-inspired D&D 5e (2024) campaign — looking for 2 players System:D&D 5th Edition (2024 rules) Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord (voice) Players needed: 2 Schedule:Saturdays, 9pm GMT+2 Session length: 3–4 hours --- You died. Minos judges, Minos sentences, and you spend eternity exactly where your worst act put you. No appeals, no exceptions. Except somewhere between the shore of the Acheron and the judgment you were owed, something went wrong with the paperwork. You're still unsorted. And someone with more to lose than you'd expect is willing to walk you through Hell itself for a chance at a real hearing instead of an automatic sentence. This is a story-driven, character-focused campaign about facing exactly what put you here, with enough combat, danger, and infernal politics along the way to make sure you don't get there easily.  What to Expect - Psychological and personal. Each circle of Hell mirrors something true about a character, not just a themed dungeon. - Still a full D&D campaign. Real combat, real stakes, real chances to die twice. Infernal contracts, hellish factions, a warzone feel in the lower layers. - Character-driven pacing. Story arcs are built around the party's choices and backstories. - Session zero. Before we start, we build the world and your characters together, including what each of you actually wants out of a game about Hell.  About the Table DMing for 5+ years, mostly 5e, running games that lean heavily into roleplay and character backstory over pure mechanics, though I know the rules well enough to bend them when the story calls for it. All experience levels welcome; Recommend joining if you favour roleplay over combat ## Interested? Dawn's Last Five 13+

"Twelve hours of daylight became ten. Ten became six. Six became one. Now, the sun only rises for five minutes a day... and it isn't getting any brighter." The Premise The world is freezing, monster-infested, and falling into eternal twilight. As the sun died, plants rapidly evolved into bizarre, carnivorous, and flash-blooming forms just to survive, while dark-adapted beasts reclaimed the wilderness. There is only one safe haven left on the entire continent: Aurelia, a sprawling mega-metropolis anchored around a colossal, ancient crystal that emits continuous heat and blinding light. Because Aurelia keeps its gates open to everyone, it has become a chaotic melting pot of refugees, opportunists, scholars, and cults—all crammed together under the crystal's glow. Every day, the city operates around The Five-Minute Sprint: three hundred seconds where the sun briefly pierces the sky, crops burst into life, and the monsters retreat into the dark. The Campaign Vibe Genre: Survival High-Fantasy / Dark Mystery / Arcane Exploration. Tone: High-stakes with a ticking clock, but filled with weird, vibrant worldbuilding (think neon-glowing mushroom forests, frantic 5-minute city rushes, and ancient precursor ruins). Your Role: You play as members of the city’s Vanguard—the brave (or desperate) few tasked with keeping order inside the overcrowded city, defending the giant crystal from sabotage, and venturing out into the freezing, pitch-black wastes to find a way to reignite the sky before the crystal dies out for good. What to Expect 🔦 Resource & Light Management: Torches, fire magic, and thermal gear aren't just utility—they're life support in the frozen dark outside the city. 🏙️ City & Wilderness Gameplay: Balance political intrigue and riot control inside the crowded city with intense exploration in the dark outer world. 🕒 A World on a Clock: A dynamic day/night cycle where timing your travel around those crucial 5 minutes of sunlight could mean the difference between life and death. yes, this desc was written by ai, i am lazy.

Blood, Mist and Souls

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Levels 1–3 | Play-by-Post | 2 Sessions | Gothic Horror | D&D 5.5e The mist rolled in without warning. A manor appeared through the fog — warm light in the windows, smoke from the chimney. It looked like shelter. It looked like safety. It was neither. Count's Manor is the dark, atmospheric introduction to Legends of Barovia — an expanded and enriched version of the legendary Curse of Strahd campaign. In two sessions, you will explore a haunted estate layered with tragedy, uncover the horror lurking inside, and face your first foe. Characters begin at level 1 and will reach level 3 by the end — if they survive. This game is for you if: -You love gothic horror, dark atmosphere, and roleplay-heavy storytelling -You are new to Curse of Strahd or want a fresh entry point -You enjoy collaborative, slow-burn horror -You want to try a game before committing to a full campaign This game is NOT for you if: -You want fast combat and easy victories -Horror, death, and mature themes make you uncomfortable

Exploring the horrors of war in Falkovnia!

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
G'day g'day! I'm Kregler! You can call me Jasper or Jazza if you really like. I'm 21 and would consider myself a fairly intermediate DM, having DM'd on and off over the past 3 years for short stints- though I have been playing MUCH longer. Just to establish some expectations as to what I'm looking for in players... I'm seeking a group of people who are within my age group. Meaning over 18 and preferably under 30. This will be a fairly average sized group of four players, with a focus on combat and roleplaying in the combat, with a strong focus on the party's dynamic. Just a thing of personal taste- I find AI character art to be VERY jarring and it honestly just breaks my focus, so please don't use it, I'm happy to help you find alternatives. Also, please for the love of the Lord, do not use AI to generate your backstories. Sessions will be hosted at 5:30pm AEST every Saturday, either weekly or fortnightly depending on the general preference. If you're in an American or European timezone, you very well may struggle! Planning on starting a Session 0 on the 22nd of August, with Session 1 on the 5th of September. You will all be starting at Level 3! Anyways... some info on the setting and campaign. Falkovnia is a Ravenloft setting, with a LOT of zombies. Characters will originate from a Faerun that is far more grim to fit the theme. Expect an intense amount of combat with endless hordes of the undead and an exploration of the very human horror of war. As for your characters... The black shadow of War has always hung over you. The hatred upon the faces of foes you've slain, the death-rattles of your family slaughtered in a raid, or the tears you have wrought in shattering families by your own atrocities. Mayhaps you've tried to escape it. Mayhaps you've accepted your lot. Mayhaps you could never live without it. An incredibly lucrative offer in a wartorn land leads your characters to the eternally burning forest of the Château de Levagneux - the sight of a terrible massacre. A noble man from the local Kingdom desperately clutches at the idea his family may yet be found, even if that means sending fodder down the rabbit hole. Something terrible hides in the thick smoke and cinders, none of the locals dare go near, for those who do oft never return. It draws you further in, still. A part of you - more ancient then your spirit or soul - can feel what is beyond there. Its all too familiar. Application link below! https://forms.gle/L9qfa135raMjupbLA

Blood & Heraldry - A Gothic Sword & Sorcery Campai

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Blood & Heraldry is a long-form D&D campaign set in the Sixfold Dominion, a fractured realm built from the corpse of a fallen empire. Expect old-school fantasy, folklore, mythic tragedy, political intrigue, and gothic horror in a world where peace is fragile and fraying at the edges, and ancient enemies are beginning to stir. Campaign Details System: D&D 5e using the 2024 ruleset as our mechanical baseline. Legacy Content: Characters may discover and learn select 2014-era spells and feats through play, rather than simply taking them during character creation. Levels: We begin at Level 3 and are aiming for Level 17, potentially reaching Level 20 if the campaign naturally carries us there. Campaign Length: Expect roughly one year of play, potentially a little longer depending on pacing and where the story takes us. And if people are having fun. VTT: We will be playing through Foundry, with Discord used for voice and campaign communication. Session 0: It'll be all about character creation. If anyone needs help learning Foundry, we'll do that as well. Hybrid voice/text. Expect most of NPC dialogue / scene exposition to be in text in Foundry. Voice will largely be for communicating between the party, asking what you all would like to do, that sort of thing. Looking for a party of Five. The Premise Centuries ago, the Volatilis Empire brought Aurelys beneath the heel of vampires, until the warrior Seru descended from the moon and united the survivors against them. Seru forged the Combine Empire, only to be assassinated ten years later; without him, his empire shattered into the six nations now called the Sixfold Dominion. 240 years later, Seru's Peace technically survives, but the Six Lords sharpen their knives, old grudges return to the fore, and the ancient Coterie quietly rebuilds its strength. You enter this world as members of a House whose future you will shape; who you trust, betray, befriend, and destroy may determine whether your House rises with the coming storm... or disappears beneath it. Tone & Style This is primarily Sword & Sorcery, mixing personal stakes and frequent action with elements of high fantasy and gothic horror. Think folklore, Tolkien, mythic tragedy, faded glory, and gothic elegy rather than clean-cut heroic fantasy. Political intrigue, scheming, alliances, betrayals, and faction play are available in abundance, but how deeply you engage with them is largely your choice. We'll shift things around based on what the players seem to enjoy. Your ambitions matter: the campaign's larger mysteries will continue moving, but your relationships, enemies, loyalties, and decisions will shape the future of the Dominion, and whether or not it reforms as the Combine. The Sixfold Dominion Duskwold: Mist-choked forests and mountains inspired by Slavic folklore, where witch hunters, haphazard militias, and monster slayers guard downtrodden villages, and reject aid from the Church for fear of their expansion. Quetzalcan: Jungle highlands inspired by Central American mythology, where the old gods increasingly clash with the Church. Ashenroot: Frozen forests beneath the colossal World Oak, steeped in Germanic/Norse-inspired mythology. Expect a strong warrior culture and probably more mead than appropriate. The Aegis Coast: Hellenic-inspired city-states of philosophers, duelists, hero cults, and a shroud of sorrow overlooking the heart of the former vampire empire. Also, big monsters. The Whirling Steppe: Golden grasslands, caravans, mystics, merchant princes, and clan politics drawing from Anatolian/Turkish mysticism. .. And flying carpets. Surynavath: An Indian-epic inspired realm of jungle rivers and ancient animal spirits, now ruled by a Rakshasa Fiend-King who has declared himself the one true god. Faith, Magic & Factions Magic is ancient, powerful, and politically complicated; depending upon where you travel, a mage might be a respected advisor, spiritual leader, dangerous heretic, or government property. The Church of the Inquisitor teaches that Seru will someday return to save mortalkind, collecting gold, iron, and people as a tithe while preparing for his promised return. The Crimson Veil crosses borders to care for the wounded, grieving, orphaned, and forgotten when governments and churches will not. The Black Rosary Brotherhood are wandering exorcists and monster hunters who answer to neither throne nor altar. What Kind of Characters Fit? Characters with ambitions, loyalties, grudges, beliefs, family ties, or something they want to change about the world will have plenty to work with. The Dominion is culturally diverse, so characters can come from dramatically different traditions while still belonging naturally within the same setting. Your backstory doesn't need to be a novel; I'd much rather have a character with motivations I can pull into the campaign than ten pages of history that never becomes relevant. Expect to have a character that is a scion or member of one of the six noble houses, descendants of the six adventurers that traveled into the darkness to expunge the beating heart of the Volatilis Empire. None of the houses have much wealth or glory left to their names, however. Most importantly, make someone who wants to adventure and has a reason to work with the party - complicated characters are welcome, antisocial characters who refuse to engage are not. Seriously, we don't do the whole 'Strider broods in the corner' thing. What to Expect Player choices with lasting consequences. Frequent combat, exploration, monsters, and adventure. Roleplay, faction politics, intrigue, and social maneuvering. Character-driven stories woven into the larger campaign. Ancient ruins, forbidden magic, religious conflict, vampires, and things considerably worse than vampires. A world where you are not just a bystander watching the setting's history; you are helping write what happens next. Seru will return. Will you be worthy? If you think so, send me a DM and we'll talk.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Welcome to ODIN, the Order of Dimensional Intelligence and Neutralization. You are a Judicar, an elite field agent assigned to a special team known as a Vanguard. Your missions will take you across the last surviving planet in the universe, where you will investigate, document, contain, or neutralize dangerous anomalies. How you handle each anomaly is entirely up to you. Study it. Negotiate with it. Contain it. Destroy it. Taste it to see if it has a chocolate flavor. Accidentally make everything worse. ODIN trusts your judgment. Usually. Think the SCP universe meets D&D 5e, with fantasy, science fiction, eldritch horror, firearms, strange investigations, and occasional chaos. ALSO: You have a plant scorpion turtle cat as your companion. So you know the level of weird you can expect. Session Details: Beginner friendly Biweekly on Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern Time Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per session Discord for voice Foundry VTT for maps, combat, and gameplay Approximately 60% roleplay and 40% combat POC and LGBTQ+ friendly English will be used during the game, but banter in other languages is welcome. Players must be 25 or older because of the mature themes. But happy for someone to join who is 21+ so long as they are aware of the themes and ideas. Genres include fantasy, science fiction, horror (eldritch and cosmic - so consider that a warning), comedy Campaign requirements (the boring, but vital stuff): Be friendly, reliable, and invested in the campaign and its story. Respect everyone at the table. Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or privately messaging other players without their permission will not be tolerated. There will be no second chances for serious violations. Campaign features (the fun stuff): You can create almost any kind of character. A vampire elf? A werewolf artificer? A gun-toting raccoon with unresolved emotional problems (essentially Rocket Raccoon). Yes, you can. Just discuss your concept with me first so I can approve it (and it doesn't read like a God/Super Saiyan character). There are guns. Pistols, revolvers, sniper rifles. Plasma gun. Also, gun modifications. Hey, it's the future. Classes and subclasses? Sheeeee. There's a lot of them (Mystic is already taken though).

very modified Homebrew DND game, levels 2-10

Hello, I’m Richard, 33, from the UK, and have DM’d for nearly 6 years and am looking for a new group. Lack of time and diverging interests (I want serious, darker DND; they wanted chaotic, light-hearted DND and 2 hours a week) meant we parted ways, and I’m looking for a new group of 3-5 players. This is a homebrew world. About the game world: Aurelis is a homebrew world formed by me smashing Forgotten Realms, World of Warcraft, and my own ideas into a blender, with fair amounts of stealing from Dragon Age, Fate/Stay Night, and Northern Lights. Broadly, it is the age of exploration fantasy. Plate armour, horses, ships with cannons, pistols and muskets, and the rise of organised religion conflicting with traditional pantheon beliefs. Netherese Empire fell, and since then, while large empires formed to the south and west, a large region struggled with all the monsters, instabilities, and remains fragmented. Level 5 characters are considered serious figures; above level 7 is extremely rare. Map for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IEkkwUWubui_cf-p9OIK8Uqg9cGPnnv_/view?usp=sharing It has 17 species split into 30 different groups – I’ve worked hard to try and ensure no-one are humans in fur-suits, and instead have distinct mechanical, narrative, and biological differences. All elves are addicted to magic and must sate this addiction in different ways; Kanami only feel emotion through their Netherese masks; Riksha have primal urges they desperately try to keep under control, for example. Here is a snapshot of them – currently, I’ve drawn 20 of the images here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IIWYu61Pxj8HW_Kylr3QQJqy-q2HRUyi/view?usp=sharing  Story-wise: I have lots of story threads I’m happy to explore, so it would depend on which part of the world. I want places to be revisited, with the player’s family, friends, and rivals all in reach, with reused characters and their progressions, so I want a local region instead of a huge globe-trotting adventure. Rime of the Frostmaiden is an excellent frame of reference for the scale I want. The story might get fairly dark. Some NPCs have been tortured, there’s a doctor who discovered CPR by drowning a bunch of people and refining his approach, slavery is a thing in parts of the world (but not morally grey), and monsters aren’t going to pretend children don’t exist. Happy to discuss lines (e.g. my last group was “you can involve kids, just don’t describe it”). Some will be less than others – Rashemi is more light-hearted than Pierowall for example – but it’ll be on the table. Val Chateaux, an enormous city and region with a stark divide between the rich and poor, filled with intrigue and revolutionary ideas. Rashemi Sea: Travel around on a ship, discover islands, deal with the factions surrounding you. Rhaaz-Mar. If set here, it would be during a succession crisis, based on The Anarchy in English History. Land filled with eaglefolk, slimefolk, addicted elves, turtlefolk, and foxfolk. Silver Cordillera: A federation of states brought to its knees by a recent invasion, adventuring in an about-to-unravel kingdom. Aravor: lots of city-states using adventurers as they are too weak to send armies outwards.  Aurilbard: Definitely Not Icewind Dale, I’d happily run a campaign based on Rime of the Frostmaiden here. Pierowall is basically Dragon Age 2’s Kirkwall, Upheaval is a chaotic region you can run survival exhibitions into, Rhakoti is basically Ptolemaic Alexandria, all could be the centre of a campaign. I have plenty of threads, but would rather weave them into the stories of the players so it's collaborative! Changes I’ve made I find DND a wonderful system with a huge number of flaws due to WotC’s lack of attention, and I’ve spent the last few years trying to fix them. I've run and tested most of these rules already; all I've done is streamline them from my previous game: Different Skills. There are 20 different skills, deleting rarely used ones and adding new ones – so Performance and Medicine are out, for example; religion and history merged into Lore, and I've added skills such as Mastermind and Discipline. Skills have listed examples, DCs, and expected outcomes for things they can do, to try and remove the Mother May I part of non-casters – you can play as normal, but you have those to hold my feet to the fire on what your skill lets you do. Skills are much more impactful. Tools, which I call professions, are much more impactful too, especially during travel and downtime (but still ignorable). New Charisma Skills. All the charisma skills are out, replaced with Charm, Inspire, Pressure, Manipulate, and Network. Everything is a form of persuasion in conversation – HOW you do it should be more important. Your charming rogue, manipulating spymaster, eloquent senator, and commanding captain should all feel different in how they persuade you. Social Pillar has Actual Rules. I have a social system because I wanted that side to be interesting. It was designed so that players could just roleplay while I have a system to track rolls – my previous players’ review of it was glowing and asked for it to return. All of the above is a long way of saying “I like Skill Challenges and I use that system for everything outside of combat” New (optional) Classes. I have WoW-inspired custom classes, which my players playtested and enjoyed (the Agent [WoW's rogue] had 3 years of weekly playtesting). You’re welcome to disregard and use base 2024 classes, except for cleric and sorcerer, which don’t jive in my world enough. Martial classes in particular will feel outshined by mine, though. There are custom spells, lots more choices, 2 masteries per weapon, and for martials, 5th-level-spell equivalent techniques at level 9. I’ve tried to ensure every common trope, from blood magic to Piety. There is a piety system, but going from -10 to +10, because +50 seems like a lot of tracking. Each tier (+2, +4, +8) has its own choice of 4 rewards. Believing in a god is non-negotiable, but you can have a patron be the thing tracked instead, even for non-warlocks.  No resurrection, no revivify – people die when they are killed. There are critical successes and failures, and I’ve split exhaustion into exhaustion and stress, which go up to 10. I have a simplified inventory system using bulk, so you have to choose what you’re taking, taking primary inspiration from Darkest Dungeon. My drive file of everything is here, which I continue to transfer onto Foundry: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1d1iVn2Hwn_syjgGfxaMenw0VYRUo9pL8?usp=sharing What I want from players I want players who want and engage in a serious world, making serious decisions. People who want to see chaos or have the dice make their decisions for them are valid, but not the group I want to play with. Players who want difficult fights. I am very good at monster and boss design, which take cues from WoW bosses. Expect telegraphed attacks, movement, soft enrages, and using the environment. In my 6 years, I have not lost a single player character, but they are often difficult and require them to think and engage with it. I subscribe to the Brennan Lee Mulligan’s approach to difficulty, which is: I want your characters to succeed, but I’ll be damned if you don’t earn it. I am much less interested in fights that aren’t a challenge and don’t tie to the story. Players who care – or their characters care – about civilians dying. Avoiding this should be significant motivation, and when in combat, avoiding it should be a significant mechanic to consider.  People who turn up week after week on time. Communication! Almost all problems can be resolved through good communication. What players will get from me: Someone who will do everything to help tie your character into the world, and will collaborate with you to do so. I’m willing to rejig my world to make your idea work – want a Kanami character from a noble family, but none exist in this region? I’ll change or add a city to make it happen. You will almost certainly get your character drawn eventually down the line if you want an anime-style avatar. I am very good at making encounters and boss fights; good at threading storylines together, and according to my previous players, at designing things. Mechanically, you should have a good time at least! I will ensure, with your support, that your character and NPCs you make are tied to the world and story, even if not immediately apparent. Campaign information: The campaign will be from level 2-10. I am comically bad at judging timespans, but it would be three acts, and I’d expect around a year long? I’d also be willing to run my take on LMoP, which I’ve run before and goes off the rails swiftly, but still ends at level 5. There will be combat, travel, downtime, and social encounters in fairly equal measures. Weekly games – I can do any weekday between 7 pm-12:30 am CEST. I would want 4-hour games, but I’d settle for 3. We will be playing online on Foundry and have a Discord server, as that has automated a lot of my nonsense. I only got it a couple of weeks ago, so automated things might not do as I expected in the first couple of weeks; please bear with me here! 18+ please. I have no expectation of experience level – just willingness to learn (most of the drive isn’t required reading either!). I was reminding my last players they have 2 attacks 4 years into that campaign, so I am patient and helpful if you’re making the attempt! Please message me: What days/timeslots you are able to do. What sort of campaign you’d be expected in – whether that’s a theme like survival horror, intrigue, sailing – or a part of the map – and what you don’t have interest in. We’d discuss further at session zero. Why you’re messaging me – what in particular grabbed you? Experience Anything else I’ve missed - happy to answer questions! I hope you have a good day! I know I've frontloaded a lot here, but I'd rather everyone have a good idea of what to expect.

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hey my names Jack and i have been a DM for a long time. Being a Dungeon Master is fun, but of course as a DM you also want to be the Player yourself in some Campaigns. This is what this game is for. I am looking for 1 other DM who would like to take part in a Round Robin style of Game with the rest of the existing group. Round Robin is where each Player gets a Turn to be the DM. 1 Person DM's a Story arc or Oneshot dependent on how they feel and then the next Person takes over and the Person who DM'd gets to play his Character. For this game i will be using Discord as Voice and VTT Foundry as the tabletop. a Webcam is not required. We are strictly against AI Art and want no use of it in our games. We are also supportive of LGBTQ, if you do have problems with either of these things dont even bother messaging me. Requirements: 18+ Years of Age Fluent in English Time once per Week for a 4~ Hour Session Saturday 20:00 GMT+2 A Good Microphone (with no Interruptions in the Background) The game will take place in European timezone and we cannot change this.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Game Edition: 5.5e, 5e, and homebrew Experience: None required Session Time: Sundays PST, 1:00-5:00 PM Requirements: Discord, Google Docs, mic, device System: Modified point buy, fixed HP, metric-based leveling (Custom), no multiclassing, homebrew allowed Themes: High fantasy, low fantasy, some dark themes, some sci-fi, some political intrigue, some modern themes This is a long-term campaign with heavy homebrew. The storyline may extend upwards to 7 years over 3-4 campaigns. There is also a spot for a co-DM if any of you are interested. Lucid Adventure is a world-renowned VMMORPG accessed entirely through a person's dreams, known for its unparalleled realism and absolute freedom. As a limitless sandbox game, it functions as a literal second world for its users. The game was created by Giga, the country's most powerful corporation. While the general public initially dismissed it as a mere simulation, players are shocked by the game's realism upon first logging on. The game changed more than just how people played games; top-ranking players were treated as global celebrities, and real-world economic opportunities increasingly depended on a person's in-game capabilities. Furthermore, Lucid Adventure offered employment to injured or disabled individuals, enabling them to regain their physical mobility. Professor Altria Pendragon wrote a paper about Lucid Adventure called “The Fulfillment of Dreams,” in which she famously wrote: "This game is a new wave. For lack of a better word, it is an evolution and revolution of a new mankind." Maeve: Of Delegates & Dragons Fire

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
For a millennia, the Dragonborn have toiled as mere cogs in an uncaring machine. Whether under their creators in the Hydra or under the Dragons who came to inherit their world-spanning Empire. Gods, old and new tolerated this mortal dynamic of slave and master, of second-class citizens at best. Never has a Dragonborn ruled as their own. Never, before the King of Maeve was felled by one. The Morning Revolution has finally swept over the Kingdom of Maeve in its entirety, with a Dragonborn-led provisional government quickly being formulated in its wake. Though the Revolution has been won, what comes after still lies in heavy contention, as factions who once had united over the Royalist threat now stand divided over faith, ideology and purpose. Should a new monarchy be instated, or would a Republic serve the people better? Should Dragons retain their noble privileges to appease the realm’s external enemies, or should they be punished for their centuries of oppression? These questions and more will have to be answered as representatives from all seven of the realm’s provinces convene in the capital of Elira to create a new constitution and draw up the future of Maeve. Or it’s doom… _ Maeve: Of Delegates and Dragons Fire is a political intrigue DnD 5.5E campaign set in the world of Ruel, dominated by Dragons and now in seeming competition with the Dragonborn. Barely a month has passed since the death of King Nyrent Cagan and the declaration of the Provisional Government, yet forces internal and external have already begun to chip away at its foundation. You are a Dragonborn and a delegate of the Maevan Plenary, the Provisional Government’s legislative wing. Having participated in the Morning Revolution, you are about to arrive on the outskirts of the capital with five other fellows you’ve formed a deep friendship with in the fires of the conflict. The days ahead will be as difficult as they are dangerous, as you’ll need to push your agenda in the Plenary. Traveling across the realm in-between Plenary sessions to advocate for your position, manage political and economic crises as well as to prepare the already ravaged country for the possibility of an even greater war on its doorstep. If you enjoy the idea of nation building and politics in an active world that responds to your actions, this is the game for you. Be prepared for potentially heavy topics such as oppression, repression, and all the other woes that come with statecraft. Not all player characters might be aligned on a given topic, being traditionalists, liberals, magocrats or anything else. The entire party however will have the collective goal of retaining Maeve’s continuity and independence. Technologically, the setting fits 15th century Western Europe. A bit about the game and logistical side of things: _ **System:** DnD 5.5e **Platform:** Discord for Voice, FoundryVTT for Battlemaps, Character Sheets and so on **Starting Level:** 3, Milestone Leveling **Schedule:** Weekly, Thursdays nights starting at 7:30 PM EST and usually going on until 10 - 11 PM EST **Age:** 18+ only! Ideally someone who is in the age range of 20-30 or so, as that's about the range of everyone at the table currently **Vibe:** A serious & mature game with a lot of roleplay, though we like to keep a rather fun and friendly OOC atmosphere at the table. **Party:** Currently we have 4 other players and one other who will only be there on occasion. The party comp consists of a Monk, Warlock, Cleric, Bard and Paladin. We are currently searching for one other player or at most, two. _ What I'm looking for in a player: * Someone who fits the vibe as stated above, who is an avid note-taker. * Someone who wants to make a character and get engrossed with them, who will remember the names of the NPCs from their tragic backstory as I incorporate said backstories into the game itself. * Someone who's experienced with 5e and / or with 5.5e. * Someone with a good quality mic (bonus for knowledge of how to use Foundry but not required). * Someone who is able to separate the character from the player / GM. Everyone at the table are friends, even if you might clash in-game. * Be open to homebrew! I do a lot of homebrew on my end, from making custom magic items and skills for my players to whole new monster stat blocks and other mechanics, I'm a big fan of adding on to a system. This is about trying to investigate several things, firstly, there seems to be a goblin army amassing in a ruined old dungeon, but also rumors have been spreading in the area about the Gulthias tree, a magic tree said to bear fruit that cures all that ails you.  It will be levels 2-3.  I'm looking to run a game starting at 2am or 3am (EST) and run it for like 4-5 hours. No day is hard picked yet and everyone I have yet has a flexible schedule as per what day.  This will likely be combat orientated since it's a regular dungeon from a book that I've tinkered with, but I've tried my best to make it fun. You'll need to have a discord for a voice chat and a Roll20 account to play, because I have the adventure all set up on roll20 already.  Any skill level welcome, I will even help make characters!

He is the ancient, he is the land and he has been expecting you.  Two long days since you left Mulptan and the comforts of the bustling trade city. You have passed by bogs and swamps choked in silence and rot. Suffered gruelling rains that only the warmth of ones home could dry.  Despite the foul weather, the Caravan has maintained good spirits trading in stories that you are sure to share for years to come. As you near the top of the valley a low fog builds, swallowing the road behind you. Just Ahead, jutting far above the impenetrable woods, are two fractured buttresses looming grey in the dense air. Welcome to Barovia, a gothic horror campaign where hope is but a whisper in the wind. Explore iconic locations through beautifully rendered battle maps and hand crafted vistas. Enjoy an atmospheric environment experienced through hand picked audio tracks and soundscapes. Use modern software to improve and automate combat flow, making the emphasis on describing the snap of a bow instead of the rules of a saving throw.  Join this open world sandbox where behind every corner is a story or a potential deadly threat. Prepare yourself for horror, prepare yourself for anguish and prepare yourself for the Curse of Strahd. note - This will be my 4th time running Curse of Strahd you are guaranteed a high level of quality with what I hope will be one of the most memorable dnd experiences yet. Weekly sessions scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST - contact me on discord for other times/dates Games will  be held on foundry VTT while discord will be used for communication. Sessions will cost 17.00 USD a session per player

Running a lgbtq friendly once a month game. I’ve been dming for 8 years. I run role play focused games that are laid back and fun while still having interesting and engaging plot lines. Combat is included but not the main focus. This is a homebrew game, I’m making the playbook myself and seeking 4-10 players for my table to run this game for! Second Tuesday of every month 5pm EDT. My games normally run for 1-2 hours per session. New players welcome, my largest request is that you’re respectful at the table! I look forward to running this for you.

I'm usually the forever DM but I have been in a slump recently and I know that what I need to get out of it is to go back to my roots and be a player. I'm looking for a group of 3 to 4 other players and a DM to play with me and I'd love to make some new friends aswell. I would love a campaign with a good balance of combat and roleplay but I also want roleplay to be an aspect in combat. I can work with essentially any genre (EX: Horror, high fantasy, political intrigue)

Hi! I’m a 31-year-old Dungeon Master from the Netherlands with about 11 years of D&D experience. Over the years I’ve run around 20 one-shots and spent roughly four years as the “forever DM” for a monthly long-term campaign. As a DM, I care far more about memorable stories than winning encounters. My favorite moments are the ones where players become invested in their characters, build meaningful relationships with NPCs, face difficult moral choices, and create stories they’ll still be talking about months later. Combat absolutely has its place, but I don’t believe it’s the only—or even the best—way to create tension. Sometimes a conversation can be far more nerve-racking than a dragon. My previous players often told me that one of my strengths was making everyone feel involved. I enjoy weaving each character’s backstory into the campaign so every player has moments where the spotlight naturally falls on them. Rules matter, but I firmly believe they serve the story, not the other way around. If bending a rule slightly creates a more memorable moment for everyone at the table, I’m usually happy to do so. Although I’m Dutch, I always run my campaigns in English. In my experience, English simply fits fantasy worlds better. The language lends itself naturally to immersive descriptions, emotional roleplay, and epic storytelling, while we happily switch back to Dutch whenever we’re chatting out of character. I’m looking for a friendly, respectful group that enjoys roleplay, character development, collaborative storytelling, and having a good laugh together. Ideally, we’d play about once a month. New and experienced players are equally welcome—as long as you’re excited to tell an unforgettable story together. Fee disclosure:  - location fees may apply, known after we've set a group with definition where to play.  - No DM fee - No additional fees

LGBTQ+ friendly

The internet can be a dark place for players. Finding a group to play with it hard. Maybe they do not accept the player for who they are. Perhaps it is run by tyrants. Maybe against all odds the player found a diamond in the rough. Then discovered it has more rules than 5e does. The grind has taken over through countless downtime activities. We know why players come here. They had some great character idea, but kept getting told no. That is not approved content or some such thing is banned. Welcome to Osiria. A place players can call home (private channels). Where all players are treated like adults and are expected to act as such (18+). We accept all players for who they are (LGBTQ+). There are no character slots. Our rules are as simple as possible because WoTC has created enough. All content on dndbeyond is approved and available (really!). Staff is friendly, active and helpful. We operate like an open world campaign. There is the opportunity to join official one shots ran by our GM's or you can explore it yourself (self-gm). Players can progress at their own pace. One-shots will have an appropriate level range and will offer milestone level(s). Players can also self level every other Friday. Not a West March or Living World. We are building a homebrew world for our smallish group to play in. We are essentially a large open world campaign. We are looking for game master's (gm) or those who wish to learn. You will not spend the majority of your time as a gm unless you want to. We do allow players between sessions to self-gm. We are looking for players who want to be part of this world we are building too! We do want it to come to life and for that we need players. I am writing a book and building a world for us to play in. The server will contain some official areas, some server areas and some player owned areas. The server is not meant to be canon to the book. We are looking to grow a tight knit community. We want you to be active whether in-game or in ooc chat. We have taken some elements of a WM that make the game easier. Like multiple characters. You might want to explore each of the three main story plots. Or discover the 3 hidden dark paths. If this sounds like something you are interested in being part of this. Please send me a chat request.

Our world used to be normal. That was before a small, fanatical cult of demon worshipers ripped open the fabrics of reality, violently dragging pieces of alien dimensions into ours. In doing so, they shattered everything we once knew. They unleashed horrific, unseen creatures into our eco-system, and even the familiar animals and insects of our world have been permanently mutated by the magical fallout. Survival here means constantly fighting the cult's influence, uncovering the mysteries of this fractured reality, and protecting the innocent people you meet along the way. Amidst the chaos, remnants of humanity have gathered in isolated villages, desperately clinging to the fading science and technology of the old world. Living alongside them are displaced extra-dimensional refugees who were dragged through the rifts. These travelers are teaching us their magic, fusing ancient science with alien mysticism so we can finally rebuild. Living monsters weren't the only things dragged through the rifts. Power-infused runes, lost old-world technologies, and alien treasures are waiting in the wilds. You just have to survive long enough to find them. Campaign Details

Still newish since I have only done two campaigns, but have experienced to run a game for everyone to have fun. I also use dndbeyond for my vtt Phandelver and Below is a high fantasy and cosmic horror campaign where you are hired by your dwarf patron Gundren Rockseeker to escort a wagon of supplies to the small frontier village of Phandalin, where he and his brothers reportedly found "something big." Little do you know that your journey will to something darker and ancient than what they discovered.  My rate for each session is 10$ per session. Sessions 0 and 1 are free. I am looking for one more player, as one of the players dropped out. The sessions are on Tuesdays 19:00 CEST every week. A mage has kidnapped a loved one from each of the party members, they do not know their destiny - if they are alive, dead, or worse. They received a letter from an unknown source stating they have a way to stop the mage. and have met up with someone that have given them some leads. The party consists of Elvira (High-elf Wild Magic Sorcerer), Flick (Kobold Apothecary), and Galfrun (Dwarf Drakewarden). The party is currently level 3, and is attempting to trick a grippli by performing a fake operation. The Campaign is streamed and put on youtube.

I am looking to run a 3-4 hour session. This will be played out of foundry VTT. All experience levels welcome. I'm in my 30s so I prefer players that are at least 20+ The start time is 9:30 AM PDT (16:30 UTC) on TUESDAY - This will start as a one-shot and level 3 characters and if all goes well will be a full campaign. - SETTING The setting is in the middle of a sand desert. Many oasis outline the area and these are heavily protected. You and the rest of your group come from one of these Oasis locations or a surrounding village. That place that you come from doesn't exist anymore because a nomadic tribe had come in and destroyed your home. They said you are a Zero now and you should be grateful that this honor was bestowed upon you, "you're part of the greater woven path." They chained you amongst a hundred others who are now pulling the front of their caravan. This caravan is built from many smaller metal carts chained and bolted together which create this larger vessel. You all pull this giant metal cart amalgamation together and have been for the past several weeks. You hear jingling amongst the cart. From the various noises and conversations you hear you could tell each cart is filled with various trinkets, resting areas, armories, treasures, and the aroma of food. That aroma you’ve been smelling everyday is not the same aroma that is fed to you by the end of the day. It is the left over slop all piled together that fills you up. It’s a luxury given to you compared to the back of the herd who pulls the caravan and who are more likely than not living corpses, they don’t eat. Eventually you presume that will be you, but luckily that isn’t you now. For the short lives you’ve known in this tribe, you’ve never heard of anyone being demoted to a Zero. That is until today. A man dressed in white silk clothes is lashed, stripped of his adornments, and chained next to you. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all really, the only noise he commits to are words he mutters as his judges fix the riggings, “Aasteri will be displeased to what you are doing today.” - either dm or reply below the following info. If you get ahold of me on discord let me know your groupfinder username so I can easily know if I've talked to you on this site >>> discord: junka111 Name/Nickname: Age: Experience: Basic character idea: (Name, Age, Race, Class (Subclass if you already know), background, personality) Feel free to link a photo if you like. What part of your character in this setting sounds fun to you?: Anything extra you wanna share:

Tea Time with Satan

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
"Before you are given a name to this place, this must first be known: 8 truths remain. They are not given. They are not waiting. They do not wish to be found. He will give you shape. He will give you routine. Do not mistake this for comfort. Be wary of what you accept as real when it has already been assembled and framed. Memory is not as reliable as you may believe. Rooms collapse, doors lead elsewhere, and the mirror reflects only what it must. Memory lies. What you remember is not always what happened, and what you've forgotten has not left. The trauma you carry did not remain behind. It was buried without depth. You will feel it: in the moments that linger too close. In the things you avoid without known reason. In the weight with no name. Morality will not be a line shown to you. You will choose between what is right, what is easy, and what is familiar. Search for the 8 fractures. Gather them, piece by piece. You may even believe to understand what you see. But understand this: reason contradicts. Desire demands to be forgotten. And one will ask you to decide if it was ever real at all. You were not placed here by accident, though accident may be the only explanation you are given. When the 8th truth reveals itself, He will give you everything. You will remember what you were never meant to keep." Yahoo ! I'm Yu (he/they/it), and I offer you a homebrewed campaign made with plenty of fresh beans, Tea Time with Satan. If you're inexperienced no sweat, I'll likely be learning alongside with you. I've played dnd for years but went on a long hiatus starting in highschool and I started back up again a while ago. So, I'm missing quite a bit of knowledge since I'm still newer to the 2024 rules but I'll do my best to keep learning. If you're a more experienced player that's great, I'm open to having someone teach me when needed. This is a PLAY BY POST campaign, meaning it is all TEXT BASED. As said, this is a homebrewn campaign. All npcs are mine, same goes for the locations, lore, world building, etc. All "official" npc art will be by me. I've never been one for scenery but I'll try scheming up drawings for the locations as well. Maps, however, will NOT be by me. I've also crafted up a few mechanics, spells, items, etc. Alternative universes are canon in my world, so you'll have a ton of freedom with your character. I'll veto and tweak what I need to but, other than that, I'm really chill. The very VERY basic premise is this: you wake up in Hell with no memory of how you arrived. You enter a pact with Satan who has you running errands for him. To proceed through the story you need to find all 8 truths and confront Satan about them. If you're missing one or even get a little wrong he sends you right back to your tasks. I'm easily excited so you can expect me to talk to you lots about your character outside of sessions. I also encourage roleplay outside of sessions since 1) roleplay is fun and amazing, and 2) it lets you get more in tune with your character. If there's an npc you want to roleplay with, lmk. That being said, I want my players to be REALLY into their characters, the world, and the game as a whole. So, roleplay with your whole heart and I shall do the same :3 This campaign is VERY LGBTQIA+ friendly, with myself being gay and trans. Majority of the TTwS cast are male, so I wholeheartedly encourage bl in my office. I am a complete sucker for romance, so yes, pretty much every npc is romanceable. As a fervent yaoi enjoyjer, bring on the gay and toxic yaoi (with limitations ofc). Flirting with the dm is highly, HIGHLY encouraged. (Note: "flirting with the dm" is for in-roleplay. It means to flirt with npcs and other characters the dm may play or add.) On the topic of relationships, pc-npc relationships are the focal point of the campaign. This goes in hand with passionate roleplay. If you don't advance your relationship with major npcs then you won't be able to complete the campaign. Play by post takes significantly longer due to different typing and reading speeds, so I ask that, while I love shenanigans, we stay on topic for as long as possible so you can get through the campaign without dragging it out and making it boring. Fast typing is encouraged. I offer solo sessions, and sometimes I'll ask you to schedule a solo session sometime during the week. Solo sessions differ from plain roleplay in that it directly changes what happens in regular sessions, where normal out-of-session roleplay affects very very little. The premise of these solo sessions is usually "\[npc\] would like to hang out." These can be silly hangouts or serious confrontations. You may ask for a solo session as well, if you'd like to buy a weapon you didn't get the chance to during our session, speak to an npc, or explore areas you normally wouldn't have time to during regular play. Solo sessions may also advance campaign plot. During level up, I'll ask if you want to schedule a solo campaign. If you go through with it, you may gain an additional skill/spell, item, etc. Trivia facts will be given at the end of every session. These bits of lore could range from a character's likes/dislikes, to information about a location, to details of a conflict. These could be incredibly important or not at all, that is up to the players. Questions about the given trivia will not be answered. We will be creating our character sheets manually with a fill-in pdf. I'll be there to assist you, of course, and we'll be rolling stats with avrae (unless you'd rather point buy). It's easier for my brain, but if you'd prefer to use something else like dndbeyond, go ahead. Just send me the finished sheet when you're done. We are currently at lvl 8 and we'll be going all the way to 20. Level progression, depending on how well and far the party is, may exceed 20, just to keep things fresh. We will be using discord bots (Avrae and roll20). We will hop onto roll20 for combat but that will be more for battle visuals. This is an 18+ campaign. Trigger warnings include but are not limited to: trauma, depression, anxiety, su/c/de (implied and shown), and gore. There will be no explicit scenes between pc-pc, pc-npc, and npc-npc. All explicit intimacy will fade to black and if you'd like to have smut between your pc and an npc just write a fanfiction about it. If between your pc and another player's pc, please ask for express permission from the involved party (I've been asked about this before so it must be said). Topics such as sa, ped/philia, and homophobia are NOT allowed. If it's part of a backstory, that's okay. Some of the npcs struggle with backstories regarding these topics, but what we will NOT do is glorify nor dwell too long on it. Story telling is a great way to vent and cope and some of my characters reflect that for me in some ways. But we are here to ultimately have fun, so keep that in mind. Don't expect so much comedy from me for I am not a naturally funny person but I enjoy banter, jokes, and shenanigans (be ready for consequences). But I do ask when it gets serious to get serious. Overall, I'll do my best to give you freedom with your character. Expect a fairly lengthy campaign so please make a character you'll enjoy playing and roleplaying with. Session 0 (The Prologue) will be a trial run, so if you're really not vibing with your race, class, spell list, etc., don't sweat we can tweak that and I'll craft up in game lore to explain the change, even if you're a spells-known class. If you end up REALLY hating your character after final tweaks, no sweat, we'll figure it out together. Please please PLEASE plan to be here every session, but I also understand that life sucks and stuff happens. Because of how flexible I'll be regarding characters, we can workshop inserts of your own. If you have a cool quirk for your character you really want to implement, Imk and we'll chat abt it. For example, if your character once dated the god of death, I can slide that into the campaign. I had a player with a pc closely connected to an npc, so if you want more of a role beyond just a player I'll gladly work around it. In the same vein, if you want to see more of something in the campaign (like horror or escape room bits), bring it up with me. I'll be running Fridays @ 9:00pm EDT. PLEASE convert that into your own timezone so you fully understand the scheduling and whether you'll be able to commit or not. Scheduling pings will be sent out the day before and the day of sessions. If you're interested in joining, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/KJT8UY9vVmZ3Scqn6 Please read carefully and understand what's being asked. I will send a friend request via discord to talk further (please ensure your username is correct). You'll be placed on a waiting list otherwise should you not be picked in case someone ends up tapping out.

[LFP] DnD 5e24 Campaign after one-shot!

Hey everybody I'm hosting a one shot to find players for a longer campaign. Everything is totally free and I have content sharing on dndbeyond so you don't need to own anything to play. New players welcome! The one shot is going to be short and sweet. It is the Delian Tomb by Matt Colville. Here's the pitch. You're voyaging to wherever you're headed and while in a small unremarkable town resting, a local farmer shows up. His two young children have been kidnapped! Follow the tracks to the Delian Tomb and try to save the children before whatever nefarious powers there work their wills! Scheduling is tentatively Saturday 18th July 5:00 PM PST For the campaign proper I'm going to be modernizing or "stealing" modernized versions of classic adventure modules from yesteryear. So I don't have necessarily a central plot outlined yet beyond the first module which is going to be The Keep on the Borderlands! I'm flexible and will let the party nudge where they want the story to go. Heads up - I definitely want to take you guys into Barovia at some point! Be chill and reasonably serious (no gag characters) and be pro social - no pvp or inter party stealing barring mutually agreed upon rp. Be LGBTQ+ friendly. Treat everyone with respect and be cool. Also character death is entirely possible, I don't run a hyper lethal campaign but I often roll in public and avoid fudging dice. As far as the characters go make sure they're adventurers and that they have explicit reason to risk life and limb. Desires for power, wealth, fame... infamy. Strong motivations to adventure please!

Hello there! My name is Kai and I'm looking for a few more players for a DnD 2024 + Homebrew campaign in my own world! Currently we have 3 players, but 5-6 would be nice :) Now onto the good stuff. Step into the crooked lanes of wonder and the candlelit halls of old—my homebrew Dungeons & Dragons campaign is calling for new adventurers. We run off DnD 5.5E (2024) with several carefully woven homebrew elements, and characters can be built from a selection of humanoid and Fae races. The world is steeped in Irish Gaelic folklore and spun together with medieval fantasy, where sidhe whispers and half-remembered legends turn every road into a riddle. Our pre-existing group’s vibe leans more toward exploration and puzzles than combat, though the dangers you’d expect—traps, threats, and the occasional hard encounter—are very much on the table. If you love discovery, clever problem-solving, and stories that feel like they were pulled from an ancient hearth—come join us! I will be checking in on Groupfinder every few days, but the fastest way to reach me is through discord! :)

Journey through the New World

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
The Inhuman War is over, and the world stands upon the threshold of a new age. Born from the ashes of conflict, unprecedented technological advances have opened paths once thought impossible, ushering in an era of discovery, ambition, and boundless opportunity. Beyond the Veil lies the New World. A land of untamed wilderness, long forgotten mysteries, and riches unknown. Drawn by dreams of wealth and glory, or simply the hope of a better life, thousands have set sail for the New World. Yet for every tale of prosperity, there are whispers of those who vanished without a trace. Strange wonders and ancient dangers await, and the New World guards its secrets fiercely. The age of exploration has begun. What awaits is yours to discover. About the Game and the World The world had long been divided in two by a great storm called the Veil. Many had tried to conquer it, but none had ever returned. That changed about 20 years ago, when a mysterious man possessing powerful magic appeared in the Kingdom of Liria, claiming to have come from the New World. Along with him, he brought the instruments of the bloodiest war ever fought. After his defeat, the technologies and magic he left behind allowed for the construction of ships and vehicles capable of breaching the Veil. Over the past 10 years, people from all over the Old World have been traveling to the New World. Some seek treasure, some seek fame, and others simply wish to leave their past behind and explore. A temporary state of peace has been achieved across the Old World, as the Five Great Nations are making a joint effort to explore the New World. The game is set in the late 18th to early 19th century, so simple firearms will be present. Aside from that, the game is a fairly lighthearted D&D campaign, with some homebrew content used on occasion to spice things up here and there. The game contains a custom system for crafting magic items, as well as a large amount of homebrew monsters, items. The Rules We are predominantly using the 2024 rules, though there are some exceptions when it comes to certain mechanics, as well as a decent amount of homebrew content. This mostly applies to things like magic item crafting and other elements that occur less frequently. The State of the Game Somewhat recently, we had two of our players leave the game due to scheduling issues caused by college and work, so we are looking for replacements. The party is currently level 8 and consists of a Human Fighter (Battle Master) / Barbarian (Path of the Beast), a Human Wizard (Bladesinger), a Lizardfolk Druid (Circle of Wildfire), and their pet Kruthik Rogue (Phantom). They are currently exploring a monolithic tower in the Storming Sands, attempting to grow stronger before challenging the region's tyrannical ruler. Where, when and how ? We are using foundry VTT as our platform. We play on Sundays at 19:00 GMT +2, and play for 2,5 - 3,5 hours. We use Discord to meet up and talk. If you have any questions and wish to apply, send me a DM on Discord.  My Discord is merlintheslime.

Looking for Players in Buffalo - Offline Saturday

Hello, I am looking for additional players to play in person in Buffalo NY. We are just wrapping up our current 5.5E game and for our next campaign we are looking to try out Cosmere RPG. Following that game we will be going back to DnD 5.5. We play on saturday nights at my house in Buffalo/Amherst NY near UB. We've recently lost a player and are looking to add 2-3 more people to the group. There is one child and 2 dogs in the house. We don't smoke in the house, but smoking outside is fine.

Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Magic was once a divine harmony that held reality together—structured, stable, and unquestioned. That harmony broke. Now the world is unstable in subtle but growing ways: spells behave unpredictably, memories don’t always align, and entire regions of the world shift as if reality itself is improvising. In response, powerful factions race to understand what caused the collapse. Some seek to restore order. Others believe the fracture is evolution. And some want to push the world past its breaking point entirely. Amid this growing instability, a group of adventurers from different walks of life finds themselves drawn into the same pattern of anomalies—each one touched in a personal way by the unraveling of magic. There is no chosen hero, no singular destiny. Only a shared truth beginning to emerge: Something is composing reality again… and the world is being rewritten one note at a time. Whether the party becomes its correction, its disruption, or its final silence is entirely up to them. I’m aiming to host the game from friday the 17th 4:00–7:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (Lexington, KY), which is 8:00–11:00 p.m. GMT for anyone joining from outside the U.S. 🌍 Trying to land in that window so folks across time zones can hop in comfortably—hope to see you there! 🎲

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hello my name is Fae. I've been playing dnd since 2015 and I'm an active DM for 8 years now. We have been playing as a group of five, one DM and four players. But unfortunately one of the players is stepping away and we wish to find someone to join us. We play bi-weekly on Saturday from 15:00 till about 20:00 CET Currently we are playing a heavy homebrewed version of CoS and just finished the House of Sorrows (death house) and the PC's just leveled up to level 4. My campaigns are always roleplay heavy with at least 1 combat per session. We play online using DnDBeyond and Roll20 and Discord for VC and keeping track of everything that happens in the campaign. I am a DM who uses a soundboard, imagery and storytelling to sketch the world we are in. I am very player orientated and do not mind bending the rules for your enjoyment. Over the years I have learned how to keep things balanced without sacrificing the fun of the players. I am also always happy to create something unique and custom for your character. Be it magic item, an event in the campaign, or PC specific lore inplementation. So don't be afraid to ask I am also very beginner friendly and welcome players of any and all expertise level Things I have zero tolerance for: - Harassment: zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or targeted personal insults out of character. - Boundary violations: disregarding established safety boundaries. - Sexual violence: complete ban on depicting, describing, or forcing sexual assault, both in active narrative and character backgrounds. - Unapproved PvP: attacking other party members, stealing from teammates, or casting harmful spells on allies without explicit, out of character consent from all involved parties. - Cheating: modifying character sheets retroactively, or intentionally mistracking resources. (if you wish to change something, just ask) - Tonal sabotage: Bringing joke characters, meme builds, or disruptive behavior into a designated grimdark/horror campaign. (joking among players, or as PC's during the campaign is completely fine and welcome) - Targeted DM hostility: Arguing aggressively against rules interpretations during the session or actively trying to "win" against the DM rather than engaging with the narrative challenges. (come to me after the session, I am very welcoming to feedback) Some of these rules only need to be broken once to get yourself a ban. So please be a respectable person, we are all here just so have some fun and share a laugh while building an epic world together. So what are we looking for: - Someone who loves roleplay, world and character development, and collaborative storytelling. - Someone who respects fellow players' time and commits to the schedule (this doesn't count for emergencies. we are understanding for situations you didn't choose) - Someone who is respectful of others, mindful of table boundaries and manners, and open to communication. - Someone who is excited to collaborate on their backstory and actively engage with the world's secrets. Not a hard requirement: - Preferably 18+, but we can make exceptions for mature teens. - Preferably a woman to balance out the table dynamic. One of our players would appreciate a second female presence in the group, though everyone is welcome to apply. If this sounds like the right fit for you, and you are ready to step into the mists and help us shape this world, shoot me a DM with a bit about yourself. Discord: vailandru tags: dark fantasy, gothic, curses, ancient secrets, prophecy & fate, grimdark, corruption, psychological & survival horror, cryptic lore, dynamic sandbox, puzzles & riddles, custom homebrew, atmospheric, high player agency, lore centric, character driven, roleplay heavy, moral ambiguity, permanent consequences, high lethality, CoS core, and many more!

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
You are dead. Maybe you fell in battle, maybe you were betrayed, or maybe you went out in a flash of foolish glory. Whatever the case, your soul didn't pass on.  Instead, you woke up in the grey, cold expanse of Purgatory alongside six other lost souls. You all want the same thing: a second chance at life. There is only one way out, and the Arbiter of this realm has laid out the terms. To win back your mortality, you must hunt down, defeat, and usurp the Seven Deadly Sins. But there’s a catch. To destroy a Sin, someone must become it. As you slay them, one of you must absorb their mantle, inheriting terrifying cosmic power... and the corrupting curse that comes with it. Only when all seven Sins are claimed will the gateway to the living world open. 🏛️ Campaign Details System: D&D 5e (with heavy homebrew mechanics for the Sins) Platform: [e.g., Roll20 / Foundry VTT / Theater of the Mind] Voice/Comms: [e.g., Discord (Mic required)] Schedule: [e.g., Weekly on Fridays at 7 PM EST] Tone: Dark fantasy, roleplay-heavy, psychological, high-stakes. 👁️ What I’m Looking For Because this campaign relies on exactly seven players, I am looking for a very specific, dedicated group. Roleplayers First: This game is driven by your characters' backstories, regrets, and how they handle the corrupting influence of the Sins. Team Players: Seven players is a large group. You must be excellent at sharing the spotlight, listening to others, and keeping combat moving efficiently. Maturity: The campaign deals with dark themes (death, human flaws, morality). Respect for safety boundaries and fellow players is mandatory. 📝 How to Apply If you want to fight for your rebirth, please reply or DM me with the following: 1. Name/Pronouns & Age: 2. Your D&D Experience: (Beginners are welcome, but you must be willing to learn quickly!) 3. A Teaser Character Concept: Who were they? How did they die? What is the one reason they are willing to go through hell to change their fate? 4. The Temptation: Out of the Seven Sins (Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth), which one do you think your character is most vulnerable to inheriting? 5. Your Discord Handle:

Party Size: 4-6 (5 seats filled) Session 1 June 13th Level range: 1-13 Played on: Foundry, Discord (voice), Startplaying (Payments/scheduling) Session time: 3-3:30 hours Weekly Sunday 9:00 AM (PST GMT-7) Current Session: 3 Cost: $7.50 Sessions 0/1 free This is not Phandelver and Below as written, this is a unique spin on the adventure adding elements of Helianas and A House Divided. The goal of this combination will be to give new players the opportunity to learn the game in a simple new player friendly semi-linear adventure(part1), while also allowing more experienced players to dive in and learn/experience the optional heliana harvesting, crafting, and cooking mechanics. Then, after you've got some experience under your belt and the party is more comfortable together, dive into a more complicated, in-depth, and non linear second adventure(part2.) That grants far more freedom. And then after that, returning to where it began and concluding the adventure with part 3. Why is this adventure on the cheaper end? Because although I have run lost mines, and a house divided before. This will be the first time running them as 1, as well as the shattered obelisk conclusion. The session cost is merely to cover the campaigns expenses. What to Expect from part 1: Journey from the city of Neverwinter through treacherous wilderness, explore mysterious caves, and delve into ancient ruins. Your choices will shape the fate of Phandalin as you encounter colourful characters, battle fearsome monsters, and perhaps even claim a lost mine of legendary proportions! What to expect from part 2: Your party of adventurers investigate an old manor house that has been abandoned for the last twenty years following the sudden and mysterious disappearance of its occupants. Within the grounds of the old estate, however, their exploration begins to take a turn. The party will quickly realize that something horrible happened in this place and the missing members of the family are not gone, nor have they forgotten their sins against each other. What to Expect from part 3: come face to face with what has been lurking behind the scenes since the beginning. Content Warning: This campaign contains some events or subject matter which may be uncomfortable for some players. it includes combat encounters which depict sequences of violence. Additionally, the adventure includes certain events which portray body horror, cannibalism, death, familial and emotional abuse, supernatural horror, human experimentation, murder, kidnapping, mind control, ghostly possession, torture, and large spiders. The first and third parts of this campaign will consist of an even mix of combat, roleplay, and puzzles while the second part will include tactical combat and unique encounters, The primary focus of this part will be roleplay. will respond accordingly To everything you do. Every decision will matter. You will be given access to a discord channel to talk amongst players, bounce ideas, and whatever else you wish to talk about with your party. Characters will begin at Level 1 and should be created using D&D Beyond with the 2024 ruleset. Once finalized, I will recreate your characters in Foundry VTT using their fully integrated modules before play begins to ensure no issues. Ability scores by default will be either point buy or standard array. If all players want a more heroic campaign, we can instead roll for stats together during session 0 using a custom array. All official D&D 5e content published by Wizards of the Coast (2024 Rules) is permitted. I am completely open to 3rd party, I own dozens of these books on DnD Beyond and Foundry, however any of these character options must be approved first. If you're a newer player I highly recommend you stick to official sources, but if you feel the official options aren’t your cup of tea, I will gladly work with you to find something else you may enjoy. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmpqcxhlq00kkl404yl03rrhe

Found in the middle of the Manna continent, the Kingdom of Central Manna is one of the older nation states that currently exists. Known for being producers of great feats of magical engineering, the kingdom has long enjoyed a prosperous period. However, in the past few years, there has been a noticeable increase in the presence and aggressiveness of undead creatures surrounding populated areas. While the official word from the cabinet supporting the Queen has kept the position that there is no great concern to be had, the common word on the street would beg to differ. A dozen villages have been reported as having been overrun by these monsters, and have caused as a result an increase in the unease in the populace. In response to this public unrest, one month ago, the monarch of the KCM issued a proclamation calling for the aid of individuals to investigate the phenomenon. You have found that this request suits your current circumstances, and you have traveled to the capital, Bonée, to offer your services to the crown. Good evening! I'm Jeidi, your DM! I am looking to run a table of 5-6 players in a homebrew world of mine every other Thursday evening! I would like to at least have session 0 today, if possible. Send me a DM on discord (heimdall143) with any questions you have, along with the answers to the following list of questions from me: Preferred name and pronouns Age Time Zone Experience with D&D Character concept, if any Favorite moment of D&D you've experienced so far! Adult

Greetings weary traveler, I hope this post finds you well. My fellow adventurers and I are looking for a lovely DM to take us on a daring tale of intrigue and joint story telling!  We’re a group of four friends with varying levels of D&D experience looking for someone who wants to run a campaign they're excited to show off! We love meeting new people, and want to find someone we can connect with and enjoy our time playing with! We know it can be daunting to join an established group of friends, so we’re more than welcoming if you want to invite a friend or two to join the party! That just means more pals for us.  The important game information: - Our preferred play time is 1:30-5pm EST Wednesdays, but we want to stay a little flexible on a case by case basis. - We're looking to play 5.5e/2024 as it's something we haven't gotten to sink our teeth into yet, but we're amenable to 5e/2014 if need be. - While we don't like to go crazy with it, we enjoy having the freedom to pitch and discuss homebrew, and would love to see it from your end as well! - Foundry is our strong preference for VTT, but we aren't opposed to Roll20 or something else if absolutely necessary. We by no means ask for visual for every scene, but battlemaps for planned combat is our one requirement. - D&D Beyond is our preferred way to do character sheets. I personally own most of the sourcebooks, and am able to share them with you and the group. We do enjoy and would like to make use of the third party books on website as well. - Our group’s preferred content ratio is something along the lines of 60/40 roleplay to combat.  Now, a little about each of us so you can get a general vibe for the players to see if you think you’re a fit for our group. Nora:  Hello! I’m Nora, 25, and I use she/they pronouns. I’ve been playing D&D for about six years now and ever since I started I’ve been hooked. It very quickly become one of my biggest hobbies and is very lovely escapism. I love fantasy a lot, I love a good book, I’m a big fan of the Percy Jackson franchise and the Cosmere. I play games like Fire Emblem, Halo, XCOM 2, Valorant, Baldur’s Gate 3, Lethal Company, etc, etc my taste in games is all over the place. My top 3 movies are Train to Busan, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Inception. My music taste is all over the place, but I’m really into Beach Bunny lately. I’m also a writer and streamer, I could honestly yap for awhile, but we can get to know each other more over some D&D and hopefully some games :)  Arlo: Hallo! I’m Arlo, I’m 23 and use they/he pronouns. I have veeery little experience with playin’ D&D (so expect a lot of questions) and I truly want to change that with my friends! I’m currently getting my D&D fix through the “Dungeons and Daddies” podcast. Games that I enjoy include the entire Ace Attorney series, Undertale/Deltarune, Hades and much much more! My comfort movies include Everything Everywhere All at Once, 13 Going on 30 and Up. I pretty much enjoy every kind of music genre but my favorite artists are Laufey, Twenty One Pilots and Sleep Token. I’m always down to parallel play and create new friendships with the help of questions that span from super silly to seriously thought provoking. Talk to you soon, future bestie! Isaac:  Hey! I’m Isaac, 25, he/him. I’ve been playing D&D (with Nora!) for ~6ish years as well. I’m a 5e DM myself, about to hit 3 years of my first campaign this month, which is crazy to think about. Stories and narrative experiences have always been a love of mine, and I’m always trying to broaden my horizon when it comes to art as a whole - whether that be physical art, books, video games, music, or anything else you can express experience with. A few of my favorite games, in no particular order, include Halo Reach, Rimworld, Risk of Rain 2, Dark Souls, and Minecraft. I’m looking forward to meeting a new friend or two! Ashley:  Hii! I’m Ashley (Ash works too), and I go by she/her pronouns. I’ve been playing tabletop for about 3 years now, but not too much D&D. I tend to play World of Darkness and homebrew, custom systems more often. Despite that, I am still familiar with 5e…I’m just not too privy to metas nor an expert! Apart from tabletop, I love competitive reality tv, reading, writing (especially world building),, and of course gaming. Dead by Daylight, Divinity, Borderlands, you name it, I’ve probably heard of it or played it. In the fall I’ll be in my final year of game design, and the hope is to become a narrative designer one day, whether that be for digital or analog games! I’ve been itching for a new campaign to roleplay in with a setting that has room for compelling storytelling, so I’m looking forward to the new adventure! When it comes to RPGs, we all love to be invested in roleplay and enjoy any opportunity to engage with the world and the characters within it. We also like having the chance to just sit around a campfire or a table and chat in character! For combat, we enjoy strong, important fights that have meaning and weight to the story. While we aren’t necessarily looking for anything super gritty, we don’t shy away from the occasional character death should it happen and makes sense.  For a setting, we’re really hoping to find someone who wants to show off their passion and hard work they’ve put into crafting the campaign. Whether it’s completely your brain child or a pre-existing setting doesn’t matter to us. We just want to see what you’re proud of and are excited to share. You being excited about your world will just spread that excitement to us. If you've made it this far into the post, make sure to mention your favorite subclass in the last box of the form! Like it was said earlier, we’re really looking for someone who’s not afraid to just hang out! Talk to us about your favorite D&D character, or the book you’re currently reading, or an anime that you just watched, etc. If you’re going to be completely radio silent in-between sessions, I don’t think you’re going to find the right group in us.  This is a very inclusive group, bigotry of any kind is not welcome. If all that wonderful information sounds just right for you, go ahead and fill out the form below and we’ll contact you at some point during the week. I’ll make sure the post is marked as closed whenever we find the one, so if it’s not, help yourself!

Hello my potential players.  I have a self-created module i've run a few times now, and I'm looking to run it again with some modifications and an added level 9 dungeon.  The game is played at 2pm edt to 530. The game is 6 distinct dungeons, tied together by a single story idea.  You are dead, and have been for a long time.  The actions of your life made you very hard for the gods to judge.  Heroic acts and villainous acts aplenty.  So they came up with a test to see where your souls belong in the afterlife. Six missions, in service of the gods.  Complete them all and earn your salvation! If you like dungeons, varied combats with a wide variety of creatures, puzzles, a large number of magic items and affects you will both gain and then lose, and freedom to roleplay nearly any type of character you want, this game might be for you. If you like exploring a massive open word, complex interweaving narratives, npcs with deep personalities, and having lasting impacts on a living world.  Then this game probably isn't for you. More details about the game and the way I run things is in this link here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wBIz3bHRat-lWbbXaW4NxdbXdWKKYURLGqo2NkoE1tU/edit?usp=sharing If you like what you see fill out this google form https://forms.gle/yuHbr4cjmwtkMQvT8

_____________ Welcome to Velora  Meridia was once called the jewel of Erindor. Today, it's an alabaster mask — breathtaking from the outside, hollow within, and cracking under the weight of everything it pretends to hold together. And beyond the city walls, the Korvan Empire isn't knocking anymore. It's *pushing*. The system was designed to last forever. It won't. The Heart  Beneath the marble and the propaganda lies The Lower District — the part of Meridia the city pretends doesn't exist. It's loud, defiant, and *alive* in ways the powerful can't comprehend. This is where the real war is being fought. Not with armies. With survival. The Game Forget chosen heroes. Forget clean moral victories. Your decisions aren't measured in good and evil — they're measured in *consequences*. You are players in a collapsing system, and being right won't protect you from being crushed. Every faction has a logic. Every alliance has a cost. And the city doesn't care who you're rooting for. While power tears itself apart, something older stirs in the dark — something none of the factions are watching for. Something that makes the politics look small. Technical Details System: D&D 5e (2024 Edition) · Format: Virtual · Recommended Characters: PHB Core Classes & Races · Tone: Political intrigue, industrial sabotage, and cosmic mystery.

Look for a DM

Hey i have a group of three players looking to start an adventure. We had a DM that brought us together than the DM had IRL problems arise to where they couldn't start a campaign any longer. We are eager to start, and willing to do any 5e or 5.5 DnD fantasy style game. Can be a classic core game or a full on homebrew experience. My discord is @Reggie8283

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Someone is stealing people's time, making them age several times faster. How old were you? 🦋 I'm sure you've got enough... time... left... People are waking up with pale, dust-like residue on their pillows. Within days, they age five, ten, sometimes twenty years. Every full moon at night, moths made of moonlight flutter outside of windows. Soon, the world adapts to this new way of life. Nobles now buy bottled youth in a secret bazaar, but someone is being drained to supply those years. To save everyone you love and know, and even yourself, you must track the source of these temporal disturbances and sever the youth market before an entire generation is harvested. 🦋 Step through moonlit gates into the Feywild's impossible geography 🦋 Bargain with mischievous Fey Lords and Ladies, knowing that promises cannot be broken without paying a price 🦋 Uncover truths that feel like fairy tales until they break your heart 🦋 Save the people you love before they forget they loved you back, and before they become the years being sold $30.00 / Session Weekly / Thursday - 9:00 p.m. GMT-4 Jun 18 / Session 1 Session Duration / 3 hours Sign in through Startplaying

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
SYSTEM: D&D 2024 (open to 2014 rulings and elements if applicable) Platform: Discord/ DND Beyond/ Owlbear Rodeo Time: Thursdays 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm EST Session length: 3 hours Starting level: 1 Players wanted: 4-6 Experience: New players preferred, beginners welcome Hello all! Newish DM looking to hone his skills by DMing one of the starting modules of DND, Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. This module includes the classic Lost Mine of Phandelver meant for players new to DND, and expands the module into a full on campaign. While I have some DM experience, I'm always working to improve my craft and appreciate players who are patient and collaborative. I would appreciate a group full of other new people and/or people early in their dnd journey. WHO ARE YOU: I am looking for other people new to DND, or at the very least beginners who want to try their hand at a longer module and dive deeper into the mechanics and lore. I’m looking for players who: -        Enjoy collaborative storytelling -        Share the spotlight with fellow players -        Communicate respectfully -        Demonstrate patience in learning the system -        Demonstrate patience with the DM as he may make some mistakes -        Want to contribute to a fun table atmosphere This is an inclusive table. Respect for fellow players is expected, and bigotry, harassment, or hate speech will not be tolerated. WHO AM I? As your humble dm, I will want to reach out and get to know your ideas for your potential characters and what you’re looking for in a campaign. I try to make things as balanced as I can, but I would say this campaign is going to be 60% exploration and 40% combat. Combat encounters may be challenging and will often reward teamwork, planning, and creative problem-solving. NEXT STEPS: Once enough applications are in, I'll reach out to potential players on Discord for a brief chat so we can make sure we're a good fit for one another. If you want to start your dnd journey, open to learning the mechanics, and willing to engage with fellow players early on their dnd journey, please fill out the application here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1YpJX8zOK8QLSkYvUQDFHUuLNXiKb4tXpnFztdPYPsmM/edit#response=ACYDBNijFSlM0rsvv1PPNfXX5WDiJv_KrB3izpS11ZZu2kb0qLoo7BKzkAQH0RmBQaE0zX8  Thank you, and I look forward to meeting y’all!

@TCB Games & Collectibles. 656 Eastern Blvd Clarksville, IN Party of 4-6 1st level characters; point buy for stats June 13th 1pm. DnD 5e 18+ DM: @wonkav8 (Brian) $5 entry fee The group is venturing home to Vallaki after escorting musicians back to Skald in Kartakass after their performance at the season festival. A local there advised the party take a shortcut through the ancient Red Tear forest to avoid going around the Lake of Red Tears, some nonsense about spooks and nasties and people going missing in the ruins east of the lake. Upon heeding this well intentioned warning, they now find themselves lost in unfamiliar woods and darkness is setting in. Since choosing the less sinister of two trails, the party has felt uneasy as if something has been following them. The farther along the chosen trail they go, the narrower and less travelled the trail looks. Finally, a clearing opens where a dimly lit moss covered cabin sits at the far side of the clearing. A frail looking elderly woman sits on a rocking chair next to a hulking male sitting on a huge stump. The woman stops rocking and waves. In the distance, a howl unlike anything you have ever heard echoes through the forest. The last glimpse of daylight is barely providing any light through the forest canopy. The wave becomes a frantic gesture towards the cabin. Sign up in store at TCB or on our Dscord https://discord.gg/BkZG8g9aC6

The Crown of Winter - a short 4 player campaign

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
Want to play something longer than a one-shot, but without committing months or even years to a long-term campaign? Do you want some experience playing characters past the beginning of their story, taking on more varied foes? Or maybe you're just here for an action-packed, high fantasy adventure? If so, you've come to the right place! Details: I’m looking for 4 players for my 5.5e mini campaign. Although anyone is welcome, some experience is recommended—I want to run a game for higher levels than I’m used to at a mid-high level of optimization. But as long as you’re friendly, respectful to other players, and (reasonably) punctual, I’d be happy to have you!  Sessions will be ~3 hours, run on Discord VC, and use AboveVTT for maps, no paid resources required. In terms of scheduling, I’m tentatively planning Wednesdays at 10:00 JST. The first session will be no later than June 17th, and ideally, you'll be able to get to know your party members and coordinate before then. Characters will be level 8, use point buy or standard array, and the game's style will be almost completely RAW, without homebrew except for minor monster tweaks for the setting. Any mundane gear or costly components will be free, so feel free to make whatever build you'd like to test against the 2024 XP budgets! Although there will be no explicit content, the game is limited to players aged 18+. If there's content you're uncomfortable with, please let me know as well.  Feel free to ask me any questions about the game itself, your expectations, or anything at all! You can find me on Discord (jaegermeister2132). Ideally, we can sort out anything you want to know and potentially have a short call to test things out. To start, introduce yourself, what you're looking for in the game, and tell me a bit about your experience with D&D! (IMPORTANT NOTE: My timezone is JST, it wasn't an option here! This means for most timezones I might be a day ahead, and the Wednesday slot may be closer to a Tuesday night one) Synopsis: As the frigid kingdom of Hinterreich mourns the death of its king, chaos grips its people. The nation in mourning was ill-prepared for the dragon’s attack—when the dust settled, the late monarch’s sole heir and the legendary crown were missing. Adventurers, mercenaries, and anyone with the courage to venture into the dragon’s lair and retrieve both the princess and the artifact are to be rewarded handsomely.

Tales of Acaridian: Ash and Salt

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Ash and Salt — A D&D Campaign A dark fantasy nautical adventure set in the world of Acaridian. The seas are dying. Once protected by the mercy of forgotten gods, the oceans of Thaloruun have become a graveyard of storms, ash, pirates, monsters, and ancient horrors rising from beneath the waves. Across shattered islands and cursed waters, powerful pirate lords wage war over relics, runic power, and the fate of the Weave itself. Players begin in the thriving port city of Thalaris, home of the Grand Maelstrom Unity Guild — a massive alliance of bounty hunters, traders, explorers, mercenaries, and rune scholars. From there, the campaign expands into a vast oceanic world filled with eldritch mysteries, legendary sea beasts, fallen angels, undead fleets, ancient ruins, and rival factions battling for control of the seas. Ash and Salt focuses heavily on: Exploration and nautical adventure Rich worldbuilding and deep lore Dangerous factions and pirate politics High fantasy mixed with cosmic horror Meaningful character progression Homebrew runic magic and customization Large scale boss encounters and evolving threats Whether you become a feared pirate hunter, a cursed rune bearer, a relic seeker, or something far worse, the seas of Acaridian remember every choice. The Rune System Ash and Salt features a fully homebrew magic system known as the Rune System. Every creature is connected to the Weave, a vast network of magical threads tied to ambition, souls, concepts, and existence itself. Through this connection, characters may awaken unique Runes — magical powers ranging from elemental abilities like Fire, Water, and Storm, to reality-defying runes such as Chaos, Void, Creation, and Veil. Runes evolve alongside the player, granting: Passive enhancements Unique combat abilities Rune crafting and enchantment Custom evolutions and ascensions Rare legendary or exotic powers The system allows for heavy customization while remaining deeply tied to the lore and themes of the world. No two rune users are truly alike, and stronger runes can eventually influence reality itself. The Session Times: AEST UTC+10 Monday 10:30pm-2:30am Last note on the session times, try to have a flexible schedule as we tend to go past session time Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! have a great day adventurer.

The Epic Quest to find a long term DnD campaign

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hi! We’re a group of experienced D&D players looking for a long-term online campaign. We’re based in the UK/GMT time zone and are available on Mondays, Fridays, or Saturdays. We’re looking for a weekly, free-to-play game using video and a VTT. We’re interested in D&D 5e or 5.5e/2024 rules, and we’re hoping to find a DM and table who are serious about building a strong campaign together. In terms of style, we’re looking for something with a strong focus on roleplay, character immersion, party dynamics, and collaborative storytelling. A 70/30 or 60/40 roleplay-to-combat balance would be ideal. We love games where players really get into character, care about the world, and work together to create an epic story. We also enjoy combat, but we prefer combat that feels purposeful: tactical, intense, dangerous when appropriate, and connected to the story. We’re not looking for grindy encounters or combat just for the sake of filling time. Character death is fine with us when it serves the narrative and feels earned. Setting-wise, we’re interested in heroic fantasy, high fantasy, or dark fantasy. Faerûn/Forgotten Realms would be a nice bonus, but we’re very open to homebrew worlds as well. We like working with the DM to create characters that properly fit the setting, campaign tone, and world lore. Backstory integration is important to us; we want characters who feel like they belong in the campaign, not just builds dropped onto a map. Tone-wise, we’re especially looking for a campaign where the party can feel like heroes. We’re fine with moral complexity now and then, but we’re not looking for a campaign where everything is constantly morally grey, bleak, or cynical. We’d love something with a strong leaning toward classic good-vs-evil, where there are real villains, real stakes, and meaningful chances to do the right thing. We’re comfortable with mature and dark themes when handled with respect. Villains should be allowed to do bad things, but we prefer implication and mature storytelling over gratuitous shock value. What we’re not looking for: Evil campaigns Joke/meme campaigns Murderhobo tables PvP-focused games Power-gaming-focused tables Timewasters or unreliable attendance We’re looking for mature, reliable people who respect each other’s time, take attendance seriously, and genuinely love TTRPGs. Ideally, we’d love a table with a tone somewhere in the direction of Critical Role: committed roleplay, strong character investment, emotional storytelling, intense moments, and a group that throws themselves fully into the game. We’re flexible with character concepts, party roles, official/homebrew options, and rules interpretation, as long as things stay balanced and don’t break the game. We’re happy to build characters from the DM’s pitch or bring concepts that can be shaped to fit the world. If this sounds like the kind of campaign you’re running, we’d love to chat and see whether we’d be a good fit.

I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany. " - Neville Chamberlain; September 3, 1939 The world is in the grip of a war the likes of which it has never seen before! The ruthless drow reich is spreading across the continent for total drow supremacy! Can our team of plucky men and women survive against such an overwhelming force!? Friday night at 8 pm est, I am planning a D&D campaign set during this homebrew world's second world war! D&D in SPAAAAAACE - 5.5e Dark Matter

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Bi-Weekly Tuesdays 9:00 PM GMT Get ready to blast off into a thrilling adventure with Conspiracy in the Stars, a Dungeons & Dragons 5e Dark Matter module designed for players who crave a unique blend of sci-fi intrigue and classic fantasy! Are you a veteran player looking for a fresh challenge, or a newcomer eager to explore the vastness of space with your D20 in hand? This game is for you! If you thrive on rich narratives, compelling mysteries, and the chance to shape a dynamic story, then prepare to leave the familiar fantasy realms behind and venture into the 'Verse and the cosmic unknown. Conspiracy in the Stars launches you into the vibrant, yet perilous, setting in an alternative Milky Way Galaxy, a sprawling expanse teeming with diverse alien cultures, advanced magical technology, and ancient, forgotten secrets. The theme weaves together classic sci-fi tropes of interstellar exploration and political manoeuvring with the high-stakes action and character-driven drama you expect from D&D. Imagine shadowy mega corporations vying for control, burgeoning rebellions challenging established powers, and the chilling whispers of a cosmic horror lurking just beyond the veil of known space. My playstyle emphasizes immersive storytelling, player agency, and a healthy dose of cinematic flair. Expect a balance of challenging combat encounters that require strategic thinking, intricate social roleplaying opportunities where your choices truly matter, and intriguing puzzles that will test your wits. I love to encourage character development, allowing your heroes to grow and evolve as they face the trials of the 'Verse. While the initial start of the campaign is structured to introduce players into the world and there is mysteries to pursue, this is a sand box campaign where players can strike out on your own. Want to explore the mysteries of Dead Magic Zones and discover the lost worlds, or do you want to take whatever jobs you can find as mercenaries for hire, either are options here. Either way we'll delve deep into the lore, explore uncharted planets, and interact with a cast of memorable NPCs, all while striving to make every session feel like a pivotal chapter in an unfolding saga. Prepare for a game where your actions have consequences, and your collective decisions could ultimately determine the fate of the stars! This is a paid game of $20 USD per a person. It can be found here on SPG.

Hexes & Horrors

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
The nights seem to never end as occupants of these accursed landscapes suffer in darkness. The people of Tepest pray to the Mother for a merciful Tithe. The survivors of Falknovia brave an unending hoard of undead and eachother. The scientists of Lamordia create their own monsters as they twist and pervert the natural world. The dread domains offer no respite to the those of feeble will. Can you survive? Seeking 5 players for a horror centric campaign spanning the Dread Domains. Players will traverse through several hostile lands, each posing a different and horrific threat. I hope to find players who seek to build characters with emotional depth and add to a collaborative narrative in a meaningful way. Players who will fully immerse themselves in the horror setting, allowing their characters to feel desperate, terrified, and lost but still, for one reason or another, hardy enough to fight on. As a nonbinary Latina, I prioritise making my games a safe space for the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC community . Full transparency, I see a safe space for these communities as a space filled with staunch advocates and allies. This goes double as this game will ask players for a level of vulnerability that others must respect. If advocating for these groups isn’t a meaningful part of your identity then you need not apply. Additional note, no part of my game will include generative AI. I think to use AI in any capacity for TTRPGs is disrespectful to the writers, designers, and artists who put lifetimes worth of effort, skill, and craftsmanship into creating this community. Not to mention to socio-ecological harm of AI either. I will also not allow AI to be used for character tokens or any other reasons. Everything in my game will be made with human craftsmanship for better or worse This game will start players at level 3 and we’ll play until level 5. We’ll play weekly, three days on and one day off. I try to level up players at least every 10 sessions. As of now I see this game running for a max of  8 months, in which time we’ll either continue with the same characters or try something else. Please submit your application here. Thanks in advance for any who take the time to apply!

The Midnight Circus // Veltria

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The busy riverside city of Leviathan's Reach has been buzzing more than usual lately. The residents and visitors speak of a traveling circus coming to the town soon. This circus arrives once every 7 years with the week of the total lunar eclipse. Previous attendees whisper about dreamlike performances, carnival games with extraordinary prizes, and wonderous fare for the entire week of the carnival. However, something seems off this year. Time seems to vanish, hours passing in moments. People return from the carnival speaking in riddles, or missing memories. Some don't return at all. Shadows dance on their own. Reflections seem delayed. Whispers come from seemingly nowhere. Something is interfering with the city's largest event, the circus they prepare for every 7 years. Whether you're an outsider stopping by, or a resident that's worried for their people, the town is in desperate need of these mysteries to be brought to light. Will you rise to the call? Howdy! My name is Kramer. I've been majority DMing and sometimes playing D&D campaigns on and off for a total of 6 years. This campaign is set to be a shorter one, around 8 sessions give or take, and is small piece of the story of the ongoing world of Veltria. My goal for this short quest is for it to feel like a murder mystery in a whimsical world. Breadcrumbing clues, suspicious encounters, deception all around, etc. If you're interested in heavy RP, solving social puzzles, and political intrigue, then this is the one for you.  Players will start at level 3 and this quest line will conclude around 5 or 6. Of course if there's interest in continuing deeper into the world, I'd be more than happy to transition from this shorter plot into a longer term journey through the world. These are my homebrew settings and story, and I allow, even encourage players to bring their own homebrew flavors. I just ask it's ran by me so I can help fit it into the world and make sure it's not extraneously strong.  I currently have 2 out of the 4 players I'm hoping to begin with. I'm comfortable running 3 or 4 total, so it just depends on how things go. I prefer a smaller party size since I tailor the story to each PC's backstory heavily. I love having plenty of ammo.  My current two players are: -A college of whispers bard -A college of puppetry bard If you want to play another bard, be my guest! This campaign will have a heavy emphasis on RP, and combat will be sporadic to hopefully make it more impactful. Feel free to experiment however you please. Sessions will be held weekly on Wednesdays at 7:30pm CST with the first get together being a session 0. Just some general guidelines and stuff I'd like to add: -I will not accept characters who have no motivation to or are unwilling to work with the party. It's a team game and I want it to play like one. This means I'll be strict against evil characters unless it's reasoned well.  -We are an inclusive group! We're all from vastly different backgrounds and I will not tolerate any form of hate speech, discrimination, or judgement.  -No generative AI, please. Not only is it disrespectful to artists, but it just looks bad. -We're a lighthearted group of people and the campaign is meant to be fun and whimsical. We joke, we laugh, but that doesn't mean we aren't taking it seriously. Everyone involved so far is heavily invested in making this story come to life. That being said, if you're interested in joining in on the fun, shoot me a friend request on Discord. My username is 7xk. Thanks for taking the time to read, and I hope to hear from you!

DnD 5.5e Starting new homebrew campaign!

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Looking to start DMing for a new group in Philly! In writing a homebrew world but I'd start with a one shot or 2 to let the group get to know one another. Ideal group size is 4-5.  I'm free Monday-Thursday mornings (I work nights). On Tuesdays I could start between 9AM-1PM. Mon, Wed, Thursday I would need to start at 9-10AM.
