I am a teenager looking for dnd groups to play with i have a somewhat high understanding of adult concepts and can tolerate nsw and am completely fine with gorey description although I do like to play a homebrew warlock i made which is the charecter sold his soul to an eldritch deity and so he gets access to eldritch spells (a few blanced homebrew ones) and mage armor and is con based like a paladin and his patron can temporarily apply the equivalent of oath breaker to him if he wastes its time

Hi y'all! My name is Doe, and I'm a fairly new player to the ttrpg world! I recently got into it after my workplace hosted a oneshot dnd campaign and it was honestly really fun, and pushed me into looking into more games like that! So far the joirney has been interesting, and I want to learn more and more about different TTRPG's I can play in and world buils with any group willing to take a newbie under their wing. I'm in EST [GMT+5] and would need to be done by midnight, but outside that my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm not new to role-playing: I've had some experience with ADND, ADND2e, DND5e2014, Shadowrun, PF1e, PF2e, Shadowdark. I'm especially interested in experiencing FATE, Shadowdark, OSR, Freebooters, but open to most systems. I don't just want to crunch numbers or kill kill kill. I do like a bit of killing as much as the next guy (depending on the next guy), but maybe there are other options we could try. I like tables where everyone is at least trying to roleplay, even if it doesn't come that naturally. Personally, I enjoy voicing my characters. I do NOT like getting bogged down by rules: I want to spend time _role-playing_, not wrestling with mechanics. -So it's really helpful when the game-master either knows the relevant rules or has mastered the art of winging it. I do enjoy Tolkienesque fantasy worlds quite a bit, but could also enjoy other genres such as science fiction / shadowrun / steampunk / post-apocalypse and more. I'm completely fine with a very slow leveling curve: delayed rewards are more meaningful. I haven't done online roleplaying before, but I'm quite computer-literate and I'm confident I can get my system set up well in advance of play-time. I appreciate Japanese culture and language, so bonus points if you do too. I'm over 50 years old, if that matters. I'm left-wing but have never brought that to a gaming table.
