I'm in EST [GMT+5] and would need to be done by midnight, but outside that my schedule is pretty flexible.
I'm not new to role-playing: I've had some experience with ADND, ADND2e, DND5e2014, Shadowrun, PF1e, PF2e, Shadowdark.
I'm especially interested in experiencing FATE, Shadowdark, OSR, Freebooters, but open to most systems.
I don't just want to crunch numbers or kill kill kill. I do like a bit of killing as much as the next guy (depending on the next guy), but maybe there are other options we could try. I like tables where everyone is at least trying to roleplay, even if it doesn't come that naturally. Personally, I enjoy voicing my characters.
I do NOT like getting bogged down by rules: I want to spend time _role-playing_, not wrestling with mechanics. -So it's really helpful when the game-master either knows the relevant rules or has mastered the art of winging it.
I do enjoy Tolkienesque fantasy worlds quite a bit, but could also enjoy other genres such as science fiction / shadowrun / steampunk / post-apocalypse and more. I'm completely fine with a very slow leveling curve: delayed rewards are more meaningful.
I haven't done online roleplaying before, but I'm quite computer-literate and I'm confident I can get my system set up well in advance of play-time.
I appreciate Japanese culture and language, so bonus points if you do too.
I'm over 50 years old, if that matters.
I'm left-wing but have never brought that to a gaming table.
