I've been playing tabletop RPGs since the Red Box era and have spent most of that time behind the GM screen, though I'm always happy to be a player when the opportunity comes along. Shadowdark is my current favorite system, but I also enjoy most OSR games, Call of Cthulhu, and Barbarians of Lemuria. As a player, I enjoy exploration, meaningful choices, dangerous adventures, and character-driven roleplay. I like games where clever ideas matter as much as character sheets, and I'm perfectly happy in campaigns where the threat of failure, even character death, is part of the experience. I'm reliable, easygoing, and looking for a group that values teamwork and good table etiquette. I enjoy creating characters that fit the setting rather than bringing a pre-built concept to every campaign, and I believe everyone at the table shares responsibility for making the game fun. Outside of gaming, I'm a high school English teacher, so clear communication and consistency are important to me. If I commit to a game, you can count on me to show up prepared and ready to play.

Salutations! Recently I've discovered Delta Green and am intrested in playing it. I have played ( and Keepered ) Call of Cthulhu so I am fairly experienced with the rules and how d100 systems work. Currently I ( 33 M) am looking for a one-shot or short campaigns ( 3-4 sessions). I am open to both paid and free games. In case of the former, I expect fair pricing, as a paid Dungeon Master I understand how time consuming it is to prepare such things, but I am not open to overpaying ( i.e $30 for a single session, which is 90% theater of mind). Hey fellas, greeting to you all! The name is Shiirako and I am a seasoned dnd5e enthusiast (as player and dm) in my mid thirties. Hi all, I've been playing since August of 2025, was in a weekly campaign Sundays 5-8pm EST, but DM has left due to IRL reasons and we played a hybrid of 2014/2024 D&D with a 2014 base with some exceptions of '24 rules for classes and items being applied. It was very much a homebrew universe separate from Classic D&D so I would be a complete novice with locations in that regard. I've grown to enjoy this game and find myself seeking a game to tide things over either until or alongside the return of that campaign. I'd say I am mostly comfortable with combat. I played until level 8 so much more of later mechanics are still unknown to me and I'd be excited to find myself being able to add to another party's enjoyment! Pretty easy going and agreeable to most things, I value communication in most areas of my life so if anything were to impede plans I would give advance notice where applicable!

Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Lastly, I have little to no experience in the other titles, but I'd like the chance to try them out to round up the horror genre. I don’t mind some of the fun classics like hidden death saves, max rolls on crits, or a rule-of-cool moment here and there, but overall I tend to prefer sticking pretty close to the book. I’m comfortable with darker or mature story themes, but let’s not be creeps. Gore, horror, religion, slavery, fantasy racism, children in peril, etc. are not automatic dealbreakers for me from a story perspective, but I still expect normal human boundaries and basic respect at the table. A little about me as a player: I’m outgoing, social, friendly, introspective, empathetic, analytical, and not particularly socially awkward I’m not a spotlight hog I love a good “yes, and” I like cheering on other players and the DM I enjoy roleplay, but I’m not trying to turn every scene into my personal monologue I like doing a character voice so it’s clear when I’m speaking in or out of character I love writing and being creative, but I will not subject you to a novel-length backstory I know the rules very well and will not need hand-holding I make mistakes, but I know how to play Character/build style: I love strategic gameplay and thinking through interesting builds. I’m very partial to characters built around unique mechanical interactions with a focus on optimization, but I’m not trying to “break” D&D or ruin everyone’s good time by squeezing every allowance I can get out of the DM. I just enjoy the puzzle of unique builds and rules interactions. It brings me a lot of satisfaction to play something a little unconventional that still works at the table. Example: I played a straight Strength Sorcerer for a year, and he slapped. LGBTQ+ note: As a gay man, I try to help foster a safe and respectful space for folks. I’m not perfect and I make mistakes, but I do my best to respect people’s identities and preferences. I’m also not the tone police and I don't take myself particularly seriously. I grew up as a gay boy in Texas; my skin is thick. I let things slide 99.9% of the time. If something crosses a line for me, I’ll let you know calmly and privately, but that is VERY rare. Potential weaknesses as a player: My memory can be spotty I’m paying attention and I care, but I can struggle with names, faces, and subtle plot points Because of that, I often RP characters who are also a little ditzy, hazy, old, fey-touched, or head-in-the-clouds, so it works in-world Low INT, baby ;) I may calmly and respectfully pipe up if I feel like a rule is being missed by the DM or another player. I’m used to playing with tables where I had a stronger grasp of the rules than most folks and sometimes served as the unofficial rulebook, so it’s an old habit. That said, I’m not trying to be annoying. If it’s unnecessary, I won’t do it. If it bothers the table, I’ll stop. Final note: I’m totally fine joining an active campaign, and I won’t get my feelings hurt if after a session the group feels I’m not the right fit. I'm sure D&D can be a little like dating. If the chemistry is off, let’s just be adults, have a laugh about it, and go on our merry ways. Hopefully you’ll show me the same courtesy. I’ll be honest, and I won’t ghost you. Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time. I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone. I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight. I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd. So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me. I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. That has been an issue before. I've never done paid pbp before but if the quality of the campaign, and set up, and pace is good enough I have no issue helping with a few dollars to the gm

Hi I'm Edward. I'm an older player, been playing for about 4 years. While I love all aspects of DND - role play, exploring and combat - I find my favourite games are those that more or less balanced between the three. I love games that are challenging with lots of difficult choices and lean in to the party working together with the DM to create a story. I would grab at an opportunity to play in person but I've tried gaming clubs and find I can't get on with the volume of players and noise. I am looking for campaigns that play on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

Hello! My name is Janitor (not really). I am a 25 year old Polish-American currently living in Krakow who has been playing DND since I was 12, with my first game being 3.5e, and most time schedules work for me! Since then I have been playing DND on and off, mostly DMing over the years. I also have some (not much) experience with Daggerheart and PF2e, alongside PF1e though I don't wish to play that. Recently I have gotten back into it because I'm gonna be honest, I feel super fucking lonely. I typically prefer Roleplay focused games with players who want to relax and get into character, though I also enjoy a challenge when I play TTRPGs. If I do get into a DND game specifically, I will not play a wizard, druid, or cleric, as all three of those subclasses are highly same-y and boring to me, though I'll happily play any build in other TTRPGs.

I have an absolute ton of time on my hands now and I'd like to step back into TTRPG's! I'd like to find a very old-fashioned group if possible, one a lot more into the story and roleplaying of their characters, blended well with the actual playing of the game. Finding group dynamics are a lot of fun and I enjoy writing a lot about the characters I play, as well as in general. Would love a group that is heavily invested in the adventure and what everyone else's goals are. Wizards and casters are obviously my bread and butter, so I almost always play some form of them. Huge on puzzles, riddles and mysteries, stuff that really makes scholarly-characters tick. I also care a lot about the moment-to-moment interactions and immersion, how magic works and is written means a lot to me. I love adventures of all themes, whether dark, serious or somewhat light-hearted. Availability: Any time really! Am my own boss, so I can flex to whatever! I like dark, dramatic stories with emotional weight, especially when characters are forced into difficult situations where the “right” choice is still morally complicated. **What I’m Not Looking For:** I’m less interested in darkness that exists only for shock value. Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 33, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite an hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing and brainstorming with the others.

Hi! I'm looking for a 5e game and I'd love to pitch a character concept I've been working on. She's a bit unusual but I think she could be really fun at the table, especially for roleplay and party dynamics. Happy to answer any questions! The Concept Sparkflower Moonbeam is a Pixie Artillerist Artificer. She is 153 years old, she was exiled from the Seelie Court about sixty years ago, and she has spent every day since working on a very specific and very complicated revenge. She presents to the world as Darkbane the Inevitable, a brooding teenage Tiefling in an Oni mask and a structured corset who carries a staff that crackles with dark energy and speaks as little as possible. Darkbane has panic attacks, doesn't like being touched, and has a journal of extremely bad poetry. She is clearly a very important dark lord. She is a puppet. Sparkflower has been operating her from invisible altitude since level 2. The party won't know this; that's the long con I'd love to play out across the campaign. Who She Is Sparkflower is autistic by Fae standards, which is to say she processes the world systematically, takes things literally, and cannot perform the elaborate social theatre the Seelie Court runs on. She was always wrong for the Wild the way a key is wrong for a lock it was never cut to fit. When she was 91 the Court found her secret workshop: iron machines, mechanical curiosities, and journals documenting her honest inner life in exhaustive detail. The machines were a minor transgression. The journals were read aloud to the assembled Court over six weeks as entertainment. Her sincere, unironic observations about Fae society struck them as genuinely hilarious. She was escorted out while the Court was already discussing something else. As she crossed the threshold someone called after her: "Perhaps you're the great Inevitable One, little Sparkflower. Perhaps the nursery rhyme is about you." She stopped. Looked at the implication. Kept walking. There is an ancient pixie nursery rhyme (sung to children as a warning) about a disgraced Fae from the lowest caste who rises to humiliate the High Court and leave an eternal mark on the Wild. Sparkflower has spent sixty years engineering its fulfilment one careful step at a time. Not because she is a chosen one. Because the rhyme is a specification and she is an engineer and she has had sixty years and a grudge. Her long-term goal is to walk into the Seelie Court as Darkbane the Inevitable, force the Queen to publicly acknowledge her, deploy an artifact she has been building since the night of her exile, and leave. After that she expects to be assassinated. She has made arrangements. She wins by being exactly what they said was broken. The Puppet — Why It's Fun Darkbane is built across the campaign. She starts as wire and silk operated by Sparkflower's clockwork familiar from the inside, convincing at social distance in a dim tavern and not much more. She develops across the campaign as Sparkflower's Artificer skills improve, gaining more natural movement, better facial expressions, and more physical capability. By the end of the campaign the puppet becomes Mechanicia, a fully autonomous clockwork golem who doesn't need an operator anymore. The progression is a series of crafting quests, each one a campaign beat. A friend helped me put together a rough statblock based on a Shield Guardian and a Clockwork Swashbuckler; it's available to discuss if you'd like to look at it, though honestly I doubt we'll reach level 14 in real life. I think the moment the party realises they've been travelling with a puppet the whole time is one of those scenes that becomes a table legend. I'd love to play toward that. At the Table Sparkflower is a support and roleplay character first. She keeps the party alive: healing items, buffing the fighter, keeping concentration spells up, using Flash of Genius to save someone from a terrible roll at exactly the right moment. She is emotionally invested in the party despite her best efforts not to be, which is where most of the RP comes from. Darkbane meanwhile is doing community theatre in a puppet suit. The gap between who Sparkflower actually is and who Darkbane appears to be is where I want to live. I have a full background document if you'd like more detail on her history, personality, and the Seelie Court backstory. I also have the Mechanicia statblock and a few notes on the DM conversations I'd want to have before session one; nothing dramatic, mostly quality-of-life stuff about playing a Tiny creature in a Medium world. I've been a forver dm for homebrew campaigns for around 4-5 years now and am yearning to be a player to play chaotic or mysterious characters. I emphasize "free" because I am already in a paid DND campaign and can't afford another paid game at the moment, so I hope you understand! Games I'm Applying For: Vampire: The Masquerade V5, Dark Ages: Vampire, and Demon: The Fallen. (Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniv. would also be nice!) I have V5 on Demiplane. The rest I have the PDFs I purchased through DriveThruRPG. I am most familiar with Demon: The Fallen, but any of the WoD games I've listed here I'd happily play in! Experience with Tabletops: I have been a fan of tabletops, mainly DND, for a few years now via online groups and podcasts, most notably Critical Role. I am also a small-time fan of groups like McStabber Studios, MagiRPG, Legends of Avantris, and Dice Times. I know how TTRPGs flow and especially how to roleplay, as that is and always has been my favorite aspect of these games! I started my first ever DND campaign a few months ago, and have been enjoying it very much and have been learning about all the mechanics! As for WoD, I understand all the general rules of play having read through the books I have purchased on Demiplane or DriveThruRPG and I feel I have a decent grasp of them. All I am lacking is the actual experience, which I am hoping to soon rectify! What I Have to Offer As A Player: I am the kind of player who takes the game very seriously, in that I am a great note taker, I go deep into roleplaying, I like crafting original and layered backstories for my characters, and I like to see my character develop and evolve as a person (or as a Monster!) throughout the campaign, whether that is mentally, physically, and/or when it comes to their abilities. I am also a very open-minded and friendly person, not to sound immodest. I am very LGBTQ+ Friendly, being a member of that community myself, and so I am the least judgmental person I know! Again, not to sound immodest! I am also very punctual. IF I am able to meet at the appointed time, then I will always be on time or early no matter what! The Kind of Monster I'd Play: My favorite Cainite clans, in no particular order, are as follows: Lasombra, Nosferatu, Cappadocian/Hecata, Tremere, Brujah, Ravnos. These are the clans that I would be most interested in playing. I like how unique they all are and the fact that they each, despite having some similarities, would play completely differently. I like playing characters that are morally grey but that strive to be better in a world of darkness and inherent violence. As for the Fallen I'd play? The Factions I enjoy the most are the Faustian and the Reconciler. The House I enjoy the most are the Slayers, the Angels of Death. The host body would likely be someone on the fringes of society, someone who knew suffering and so attracted one who has similarly despaired. The Fallen would likely be a melancholic one wallowing in darkness and righteous anger, but still wanting to do better and having an insatiable drive to fight against the injustices that have become increasingly common across Creation. What I Am Looking For: I am primarily looking for a World of Darkness Chronicle and group to join! I am hoping for a game with depth and lots of lore, with a Storyteller that is as serious about their Chronicle as I would be for my character! This can be in-person in NYC, or online! The ONLY caveat regarding online play is that I would have to use either Demiplane or Roll20 since that is where I purchased the books that I have listed above! Hello! I’m a huge D&D nerd looking for a campaign to join. I’ve run multiple campaigns over the past few years, listened to several actual-play campaigns, and played in a few games myself, so I have a decent amount of experience. I still get confused sometimes though 😅 I’m looking for a weekly or bi-weekly group, preferably on Fridays. I’m available any time after 2 PM MST and before 7 PM MST. Sometimes life throws a curveball at me, but I will always let the group know ahead of time if I can’t make a session or if something comes up. I’m neurodivergent and have some learning disabilities, which can occasionally affect gameplay a little. Sometimes I may need something repeated or need a little extra time to read or figure something out, but overall it’s not usually a major issue. I really enjoy roleplay-focused campaigns, even though I’m not great at character voices yet. I enjoy combat too, as long as it isn’t nonstop encounter after encounter after encounter. I’m also completely fine with games where characters can die if it makes sense for the story or situation. I always have way too many character ideas floating around in my head, so I’m happy to make someone new if needed. I've been in the scene for a little under 10 years (will be 10 this fall) and most of my experience is in DMing in the Numenera setting of the Cypher System, so I am looking to expand my horizons as a player in your group! Broad strokes: I aim to be cool to talk to and interact with, I pride myself on taking high-qulity notes, and I relish the character creation process. I like to think deeply about character decisions, and am most comfortable in a group with a maximum of 3 or 4 players. The Meat of Things Experience: I've been in the ttrpg scene for 10-ish years, but I do not have a ton of experience as a player. To that end, I'm mainly looking to join a game in a system I've never played so I can get the full newbie experience. You won't need to worry about my table ettiquette or basic rules knowledge, just whether I actually read an ability correctly the first few times I use it. Playstyle: I am a roleplayer at heart, and I take character decisions very seriously. I may need a few minutes to mull over what my character may do in any given situation, and I may need information to be restated there is a lot of exposition, but I do understand the need for brevity with others at the table. I love a well thought out combat sequence and I am not opposed to entire sessions being devoted to combat. My main ask is that the campaign cater to my character's arc in some way, I'm not the kind of guy who can make a throw-away character for a campaign that is more focused on a pre-determined path (never personally been a huge fan of modules, for example). Reservations / Preferences: Being almost 30, I prefer games with people around my own age. My comfortable range is anywhere from 25 - 40, with room to wiggle on either side. I won't play at a table that allows hateful language (racism, misogyny, transmisogyny, and transphobia to name a few of the big ones, but this list is not exhaustive), nor will I play at a table that considers itself "neutral ground" regarding human rights conversations. I prefer deeply nuanced and informed conversation around societal issues and suffering, both in-game and in real life. My name is Chris (he/him) and I'm 35 years old, living in PA. I am looking to play online with other adults. I started playing with PF1e before transitioning to 5e. I have also dabbled (one session) in Call of Cthulhu. I tend to gravitate toward warlocks, but I am willing to play a variety of classes. My favorite PF class is easily the kineticist. I was also looking recently at the FFXIV conversion for 5e and would be more than willing to try it out with anyone. I enjoy combat and roleplay. I have not had any difficulty meshing in with any of the groups I joined. Group dynamics are big for me. I try not to step on other players' toes. I want others to enjoy playing their characters as well and have their time in the spotlight. Experience I played some AD&D (v2) back in the 1990s, and then went on hiatus for many years. While I played a lot of D&D-inspired video games, I only returned to real D&D last year, and fell back in love with the game. I currently play a weekly 5e game on Roll20, and am looking to add a second nights game to my repertiour. I'm open to online and in-person games, although given the rural area I live in, the latter is not overly likely. My Gameplay Style I like a mixed game style, with a good dose of both roll playing and combat - though I admit to being weak/slow on the roll playing side. I'm most experienced with low-magic characters (I'm a arcane triskster rouge in my current game), but I'd like to try other classes. I'm pretty open to playing any character type, and am happy to change my character around to fit the group. I'm somewhat split in the story-lines that I like to play - I love big epic adventures, but also like small-stakes games (murder mysteries, etc). While I haven't played one since the 1990's, I'd love to play a dungeon crawl centric game (my current game is very much an "exploring an open world" style). I don't know if this is a thing, but a group which plays a series of shorter campaigns instead of one long campaig would be a great fit. Other Stuff Outside of D&D, I read a lot of SciFi and Fantasy novels. I also brew beer and make cheese when I get a bit of free time.

Currently I run an in-person campaign of Nimble for my Friday night crew, and am looking to expand my online games to new players. My GMing Style: I operate on the "Rule of Cool", and doing my best to enable a players idea within the rules of whatever game I am running. I like seeing what hijinks players get up to, and doing my best to navigate a campaign to where my players interests are. My Player Style: I love playing Paladin/Holy Warrior archetypes, and try my best to play my characters in a manner that they fit in the vibe a GM is trying to curate. I mesh well with most groups and am very extroverted. My Games of Choice: I love high-fantasy, and enjoy games that feature grid-based combat such as D&D 4th edition, Nimble RPG, Draw Steel, etc. I tend not to enjoy sci-fi or cyberpunk games or settings.
