Hey! I'm Tomb, a (technically) 6 year DND player (on and off and with a lot of "rule of cool" tables so not a veteran) looking for a game for Sunday Nights usually starting around 8 EST (though my schedule will probably open soon!) Im a storyteller at heart, with a big focus on worldbuilding, lore, and character driven narratives. I like getting into the depths of the worlds history and seeing what makes it tick while playing with harsh backstories that loom like shadows over the players, but I tend to shy away from GrimDark, I like some hope with my whump please! None of that means I don't like combat though, combat plays a really important part in a lot of stories and can be interesting in their own right! I do know a lot of the rules for DND 5e, I've been watching actual plays long enough to have picked up on the rules, but I prefer Homebrew over RAW and Rule of Cool over Rules Lawyering I'm a huge fan of actual plays, namely Campaign 2 of critical role, Dimension 20s Misfits and Magic, A Court of Fey and Flowers, and The Seven, a small one shot campaign called World's Apart, and the beginning half of Godsfall (before the cast imploded) Literature wise I'm an avid reader of high fantasy, Eragon being my favorite series, along with Harry Potter (fuck terfs), and a niche Midgrade series called Avalon: Web of Magic! TL;DR in the DMs Guide Player Types: Im an Explorer, a Problem Solver, and a Storyteller, but I'm more than willing to hit something along the way, i prefer Homebrew and Rule of Cool over RAW, and i want some found family/hope with my hard story beats! Hi, I am an experienced D&D player who has also dabbled as a DM in the past. I have been playing on and off since high school (I am now in my 30s). My campaigns have often ended early due to real-life schedules, so while I enjoy the game deeply, my late-level experience is somewhat limited. However, I am hoping to find a group where we can build a story together that might go the distance. My favorite games focus on exploring player character backgrounds as part of the campaign narrative. I put a lot of work into character creation, so I value seeing that development happen for myself and my teammates. I would be interested in trying the Pathfinder 2E systemor Daggerheart, but have no experience with those compared to 2014/2024 DnD 5e. A few notes about me: I tend to be soft-spoken with new people, but I warm up quickly once I get to know the group. Logistically, I am in the Eastern Time Zone and work typical office hours. For the most part, I am available on evenings (except Monday nights). I prefer bi-weekly sessions, though I can accommodate weekly if needed.

Hi guys! I’m Anthony (19M, ftm), an artist looking for an online homebrew high fantasy campaign to join. I have a very flexible schedule, and am avalaible most weekdays. I prefer sessions in the afternoon/evening (EST) that run between 3-5 hours long. Player info: I'm more roleplay oriented and like a 70/30 split of roleplay to combat. I tend not to create very lore dense backgrounds, instead focusing on interesting character arcs/dilemmas. I love immersing myself in a world and getting invested in the plot, brainstorming interactions between my characters and the other players, etc. I'm okay with characters dying in reasonable circumstances/with narrative buildup. I have a few character concepts ready that I'm more than willing to tailor to your story! I'm fairly new to the game, mostly unfamilar with combat mechanics, but I have a decent understanding of player etiquette. I like campaigns with an overarching plot that can be influenced by player input to some extent, similar to a series of bus stops as oppossed to a railroad/sandbox. Pretty laid back guy, I'm 41, and am looking for other adults to play with. I'm open to online but I'd much prefer at the table. I don't have much experience playing but I am very familiar with the mechanics and how the game works. I also play MTG, Commander but I didn't see that on the list. I'm pretty flexible with enough notice, I currently work daytime hours usually home by 4 or 5 pm and am usually free on the weekends with occasional exceptions. Hi there! I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against. I'm in your world now. I love homebrews and I'm looking for a sandbox game with an experienced GM who understands and values player agency. Play Style: I'm serious about having fun. I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that are focused on the campaign at hand. I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters as much for for the GM and other players are they are for me. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story. I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road. I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules. I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session. Don't ask me for a character concept until I have some understanding of the campaign lore. I like to create characters that feel part of the world. Themes: I'm less interested in modern settings or horror, more interested in traditional high fantasy settings. Experience: I was first introduced to DnD5e online at the front end of the pandemic and have played multiple games since then. I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice now and forever is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond. I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13. I have my own Foundry server currently running v14 with no particular end in mind. Prefered Times: I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time. North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely. I'm available any day except Thu and Sat. My ideal schedule would be a weekly game of at least 3-4 hours. I'm not adverse to longer sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. My Setup: I have a nice quiet office and professional studio quality audio chain. I don't use a web cam. Hello, there! I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). My window of availability is between 6 AM and 11:30 AM, and between 2 PM and 10:30 PM, CET times. I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I'm committed, invested in the story and a note-taker, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come into a campaign with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

Hey! I'm Ash, a nonbinary adult from California who's a big fan of things like Percy Jackson, Warhammer 40K, Star Wars/Star Trek, Hazbin Hotel, Murder Drones (and other GLITCH shows), and Wings of Fire. I like to play more casual, laid-back games - as in, not insanely serious, where a more silly character doesn't stand out too much. For example, a Southern tiefling bard whose favorite instrument is the fiddle, or a combo warlock-cleric, or even a warforged cleric of the forge. That being said, I am perfectly willing and able to create more serious characters if the setting leans that way. What I'm trying to say is, I'm pretty flexible in my character-making. I tend to play characters with well-thought-out backstories, and usually add in a quirk or two that sets them apart - along with a bit of myself, of course. I enjoy good roleplay, although I may have trouble with it myself, and I love a good combat. A lot of my past characters have been more combat-oriented, but even so, I still try to create interesting backstories and social interactions with them. I've been playing D&D for at least four or five years now, since before 5.5e, and I'm much more familiar with 5e than 5.5e. Also, I thoroughly enjoy helping to teach or actually teaching new people how to play. I'm almost always available to play on weekends between 10AM PST and 5PM PST, and would much prefer online games over in-person for this kind of thing.

Hello I'd be interested in joining a group if possible. I am available Mon-sun starting at 7pm est except wed. I rarely miss sessions and if I think there's even a possibility, I would give a heads up. I don't mind if it's already ongoing as long as it's not to far in. I enjoy character bonding as a group and as individuals and my favorite thing about DND is creating backstories. I have a few lined up that I typically discuss with the DM to see which would be the best fit. One backstory for a example is a human rogue who's a member of a f very powerful crime family. Though he's in hiding since he's constantly getting in there way of business to ruin it. I also try to get everyone involved if I notice someone having trouble getting involved. I do prefer to focus more on the game than talking outside of game.

I've been doing one shots to get a grasp of game mechanics and I'm ready to sink my teeth into a campaign and grow my character. I'm fine with a 50/50 split of RP and combat or a 60/40 split in either direction. I will say I probably need to work on my RP but fighting is just so fun! I have a weird schedule so I need a morning game which I know is really hard to find. I get along with everyone, would rather move the story along than argue the small stuff and can go with the flow!

Hi! I'm Tako, I'm 25, and I just graduated from university. I'm from Texas, and some of my biggest hobbies are anime, video games, baking, TTRPGs, history, and, of course, sleeping. I've been playing D&D for around 7... maybe 8 years now? It's honestly been so long that I've lost count, but it's become one of my favorite hobbies. As for quirks, I definitely have a few. I have ADHD and dyslexia, so I can be a little scatterbrained at times, but I promise I mean well! Dislikes are mostly the obvious stuff—people being mean or rude. I also have two very important food opinions: oatmeal raisin cookies are a crime, and pineapple absolutely does not belong on pizza (spawn of the devil). I also prefer to avoid politics entirely, and I'm not a fan of AI being used for character references or story writing. One fun fact about me is that I can make tiramisu completely from scratch, which I'm pretty proud of! My favorite animal is the lion. When it comes to D&D, I absolutely love melee characters. There's just something satisfying about charging into the thick of a fight. That said, I'm trying to branch out and play more spellcasters to expand my comfort zone. No matter what I play, though, I tend to enjoy characters who serve as a light in the darkness—people who try to inspire hope even when everything seems bleak. Looking forward to getting to know everyone! I am currently wanting to find a group who enjoys both serious and fun moments for games! Heya folks, this is Wolfie. I've been an on-and-off game master of multiple systems for almost a decade or more now, and have experience with roleplaying going back a couple decades at this point. I tend to run harsh, dark and gritty style campaigns, and focus on new player friendly campaigns designed towards introducing and teaching newcomers to the realm of roleplay (though I'm not opposed to veterans, I just like giving less experienced players their chance!). I play entirely online, using Discord as a medium for voice and chat, as well as bouncing between various virtual tabletops. Hi, I'm Heca! I'm a 22-year-old relatively new player looking for a D&D 5.5e (2024) campaign between Monday and Thursday, after 7 PM CET. I'm French, but I have very decent English, even though my accent is sometimes all over the place. I enjoy a good blend of roleplay and combat, with some chaotic fun sprinkled in. I'm also absolutely okay with dark themes and horror. I have a little experience so far: two one-shots and one currently active campaign. I also watch a lot of D&D videos and listen to campaigns like Dimension 20, Just Roll With It, and Dungeons & Daddies (not a BDSM podcast). I already have a character concept I'd really like to play: A chaotic good, Small-sized Warforged Battle Smith who uses his Steel Defender as a mount. For a Forgotten Realms setting, I was thinking of flavoring his backstory as a failed attempt by a mage to recreate a Nimblewright without enough of the required materials and using an air elemental instead of a water elemental, resulting in a somewhat "unstable" construct. I'm not completely sure about all the details and motivations yet, so I'm very open to developing the character around the campaign and DM's setting. Hi I'm Kenny (25M), I've been a TTRPG player for a year now. I've also tried my hand at GM-ing a Cyberpunk Red campaign and it was more trouble than it's worth. I'm basically a beginner at D&D as my group switched systems to Fate after a few months of starting, but I did like the structure D&D provides. I don't have a preference for the system as each have their own charm. I am available every day of the week post 5pm CET except Fridays. I am reliable when it comes to sessions and won't miss any without a valid reason. I enjoy character building and some serious roleplay. I'm alright with jokes as long as they do not ruin an emotional moment. I prefer character bonding and RPing together rather than each individual doing their own thing and others having to follow. There also needs to be a serious threat of the character dying as without it players (typically me) tend to go on silly tangents which do not contribute much to the story (basically, keep me in check). Overall I do prefer the RP over combat. I hope to find an non-toxic, easygoing and reliable group, and a DM who is not too strict with the rules.

Actual introduction: Basically, I miss roleplaying, and I want to do it again ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ I'm in my early 40s (but look ~18, which often leads to comedic moments IRL), queer (he/they), white... jaded with the way things are currently, globally - but then, who isn't? But trying to stay silly. I used to play a lot in my teens and twenties - various DnDs, Vampire, Changeling, Call of Cthulhu, 40K the RPG, Finsterland, homebrew systems... I've run a one-shot with the Dungeonworld system and an aborted DnD5 campaign. I'm open to all systems. I *think* I prefer a roleplay-focused style (combat in DnD bores me to pieces), but then maybe I haven't experienced fun combat in a TTRPG yet? I like solving mysteries/riddles, having an adventure, having fun, maybe even good banter. I tend to play characters on the goody-two-shoes side (they could be criminals, but they would have standards, lol). Personal no-no's include torture, body horror, anti-queerness, misogyny, probably racism; though it really depends on how it's handled. Absolutely no LLM ("AI") crap. After skimming the "how to write your description" text (yes, isn't it great that I wrote most of the previous BEFORE I did that? I'm very smart. No seriously, it's been thousand degrees weather for weeks and my brain is fried): my favourite book series are Discworld and the Muderbot Diaries. Favourite videogames include Dishonored, Disco Elysium, Dragon Age. Fave TV series include Leverage, Severance, Star Trek DS9, AtLA. My hands-down favourite actual play podcast "series" is The Adventure Zone: Amnesty. (Balance is also good but Amnesty is where they peaked, imo) (I also greatly enjoy the various Oxventures. Sadface why no update...) Time and day-wise, I prefer Fri, Sat, Sun; *possibly* also Mondays. Flexible on the time as long as it's between 11:00 and 23:00, and if it's an online session I tend to cap out at 3 hours.

Hi there. I’m a pretty new player (M 26) who’s been looking to get into D&D for a while now. I’m honestly not too picky about systems, but I only have any experience with 2024 rules, which is essentially one session of a couple of level 1 scenarios at a learn-to-play event I attended. I’m unsure of what sort of materials someone new might be expected to have, but I have several sets of dice I haven’t gotten the chance to use. I understand an online hosted game would probably prefer to use the rolling mechanics on the platform, which is fair. I’m available on Monday and Tuesday evenings, with a slight preference for Tuesdays. I'm hoping to participate in a one-shot or two to get my feet wet. Also, so I can get used to whatever platform people prefer to play on. I'm okay with roleplaying, but I'd prefer the game not be too heavily skewed to either side of roleplay and combat. I revel in many layered plots that peel like a bag of onions, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. I'm not fixed to certain versions or rules of the game, although I do prefer 5e, so it's just a matter of remembering the set up the DM or group plays by. I prefer weekly sessions on Fridays (after 6 pm) or Saturdays (after 5pm) CST time. I still have school so 2 hr sessions should be good, but I am flexible to more or less. I feel that I am typically reliable for joining sessions, but last minute school events do occur, much to attempts to prevent it. I am the kind of person that likes roleplay focused games over actual combat. Fighting is fun, but interacting with others, making decisions, and fooling around is more my style. I'd prefer that our characters don't die, but know it's also a part of the game. I typically play bards and like to consider D&D to be a way to express oneself and explore in a way that people sometimes can't in the real world. I am a fan of dark humor, comedy, surprises, NSFW moments, and thought provoking scenarios.

My schedule is fairly free currently, so I'm not especially picky about timeframe or game frequency. I tend to enjoy creating characters tied to already existing structures within the world in order to both work with the DM to flesh out a central region or organization of the campaign and anchor that character to a set of themes and locales that will likely be relevant to the campaign. I'm bigger on roleplay than combat, though I have no qualms with combat. I have no problem with character death so long as it is established as a possible threat from the getgo.

Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.
