I've played in a handful of games using the 2014 rules but I find 2024's changes in the lore, classes (mainly monk), and rules super interesting and I've been itching to try them out! As for the kind of game I'd be interested in playing in, I'd like to play in a heroic fantasy type game that is equal parts fun combat and character roleplay. I like joking around in my games but I'm also invested in the game's story and characters and I'm able to be serious during important moments. other small things: - I don't like ai being used in games - I would apprieciate a battle map during combat. It could just be a blank grid with tokens, I just struggle with theater of the mind. I'm available on any day except Thursdays.

I have over 30 years of experience across a variety of systems, though I still consider myself “intermediate” in many of them since there is always more to learn. I tend to enjoy unusual or unconventional character concepts, especially those exploring how others react to characters who might be misunderstood. I’m often drawn to support-oriented roles such as healers, buffers, or facilitators, and I’ve been told I think outside the box and bring creative approaches to problem-solving. I enjoy sandbox or open-world campaigns, but I’m just as happy playing through published adventures. Hi, I'm Patchwork. I'm a 20-something geek who enjoys spending his time on various TTRPGs. My previous group fell apart due to scheduling issues, as most do, so I'm here looking for something new! I'm mostly into the roleplaying aspect of tabletop games, I enjoy immersing myself in whatever character and world I'm put into, and bouncing off party hijinks! I usually put a lot of effort and a decent amount of writing into my characters and their backstories, but I usually do that as a creative writing exercise, and never expect a DM to know it front-to-back (I always put a summarization/TL;DR first). But if you do, all the better! In terms of systems and experience with VTTs, you can already see what systems I've looked into/played, and I've gamed a bunch in Roll20 and Foundry, so I'll have no issues navigating either of those VTTs. But if you have something new, I'm always willing to learn! As for the kind of games I'm looking for, I've been playing Fantasy for quite a long time now, and I'm hoping to get into some Sci-fi settings, and trying out systems in that niche. I have a small makerspace at home where my 3D printers hum along daily. As an arts and crafts teacher, I make a lot of different things day-to-day and always try to stay creative. I'm 34M in Bournemouth UK and over the last 5 years I've run a multi year 5e campaign as DM and am now running another with 5.5e, me and my players only get to play on Fridays or Saturdays that work for all of us which can be a struggle sometimes but I need more dice rolling in my life! To fix that, i'm looking for stuff i haven't played before. i'm particularly interested in Shadowdark and other OSR games, right now, and also a cool cyberpunk game (the setting, though i will totally also try Cyberpunk, the RPG). i have a lot of experience playing all kinds of systems, but mostly DnD, Pathfinder 2e, and PbtA games. i have a lot of time on my hands, particularly on weekday mornings (CET). i'm not unwilling to DM, but i really only have experience with prepared campaigns, so far, so i'm still mostly a beginner.

Hey I just joined here and I'm looking for some DnD game in ruleset of 5e 2014 version, preferably more long term thing. Important for me that group is 18+ and do I need to add LGBT+ friendly? We are all people in the end and on top of that, when we are in RP I talk to you trough my character to you trough yours. I'm not feeling that comfortable with roleplaying in VC that's why I prefer text based games, it just feels more safe and comfortable for me. In terms of my experience. There is not much to it, most of games I joined ended rather quickly, be it because other people stopped coming without saying anything, DM just poofed out of existance. System-wise, I like indie and old-school games, with enough crunch that every character and build feels mechanically unique and satisfying. That said, I’ll play narrative systems too. I care less about the label and more about whether the game does what it claims it does. Tone-wise, I think the best games have a healthy mix of insane hilarity, fantastical impossibility, and the horrors of reality. Just enough to make it feel real before it gets unreal. If it’s all comedy, it’s weightless. If it’s all grim, it’s depressing. I want the mix, on purpose. I’m a professional fiction writer with decades of experience. At the table, this means good improvisation skills and idea generation, as well as a good sense of story hooks and structure. If you’re creative and you communicate, we’ll get on great! One-shots, arcs, or campaigns. GM or player.

For PF2e, I’d be happy to join an Age of Ashes campaign if one is forming or ongoing. Hello! I'm Gaytor. As a player I really like to roleplay situations and interact with both NPCs and PCs. Really like campaigns where exploration is the focus of the campaign with lots of downtime so we can all the PCs interact with each other and even bond with other characters (Not necessarily on a romantic way). I'm fine with combat as long as it isn't the focus of the campaign like a Dungeon crawl or just a meatgrinder. Been playing DnD for many years, but lately I mostly DM so I am looking for a change of pace to play a character instead. I'm chill, laid back, friendly, and try to be helpful in and out of RPing. I love orcs and rogues but tend to pic a class that rounds out the party. Not a high maintenance player and I am easy to please, I tend to go with the flow, but maybe with a few quirks of "things that stand out" here or there or off beat choices (example my fav character is a half orc rogue with a great sword).
