Mystery in Durst Manor | D&D 5e (2014) One-shot

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Start spooky season early with a mystery and a dungeon crawl for Level Two Adventurers! You and your friends get sucked into a video game and find yourselves in the bodies of your avatars. You can't log off. You don't know what happens if you die. Your only hope is to win the game. - Explore a dungeon in a virtual world. - Fight any monsters that get in your way. - Escape with your lives. For fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl, Jumanji, or Sword Art Online, this one-shot turns a classic gothic horror D&D adventure into an isekai/portal fantasy.  Create your D&D character at Level Two as normal, except for your personality traits, ideals, bonds, flaws, and backstory. For those pieces, imagine an Earth-human who would create this D&D character as an avatar in an online RPG. Use the 27-Point-Buy method for your stats. You may use the following 5th Edition resources for character creation: - Player's Handbook - Volo's Guide to Monsters - Tasha's Cauldron of Everything - Xanathar's Guide to Everything - Mythic Odysseys of Theros - Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft When your character sheet is finished, send a copy to the DM. This game is also posted on StartPlaying.Games for $15 https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtnkf5ec00rfk3045bov09g0?ref=clsweaag8006e6ql9qjn0369w

The Hero's Guild of Mirth: Mercs in Homebrew Realm

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Check out the page over at StartPlaying when you're ready to get started! Check it out here! Have you ever watched an anime where an adventurer's guild gets introduced and then is completely ignored? Did you think to yourself, "Wow, wouldn't it have been cool if they'd actually done something with the adventurer's guild..?" Well, want no more! This will be an adventure structured around guild life, ranked missions, anime vibes, and the rule of cool. There will be a lot in the way of combat and plenty of opportunities to show off your build while exploring ancient ruins, ransacking big, custom dungeons, and probably being a menace to a corrupt government official or two. Inspired by modern and old school fantasy anime, alike (think Slayers, Lodoss War, and Berserk as well as DanMachi, Shield Hero, and Goblin Slayer). Everything will happen in a custom setting, on a continent called Mirth that has an epic apocalyptic backstory and a cast of exciting and eccentric NPCs to set up for epic campaigns. This game is welcome to anyone who wants to play Pathfinder 2e for the first time or the fiftieth. If you love Pathfinder's combat, awesome anime fights, and a touch of anime power fantasy, then you're invited to join the Mirth Hero's Guild. Come become the biggest, baddest dude in the room and then make sure everyone knows it! *** Play-by-Post is a low-stress, highly-rewarding format and I love helping people get a grasp on it. Do you want to join a campaign but your availability prevents you from committing regularly? Does engaging at your own pace throughout the week without the pressure of the moment and with consistent Gamemaster support sound like something you'd enjoy. Well you're in the right place! The Play-by-Post (PbP) format is nearly as old as D&D and is a rewarding way to engage in this fantastic pastime. While it is true that the comradery of the kitchen table is lost in PbP, you gain the ability to plan without pressure, to refine your roleplay, to research your actions. Many see Play-by-Post as more immersive than live games, that the Theater-of-the-Mind is more easily engaged without the typical distractions of the table. Expect 1-3 posts a day from me, during the week. That means mechanically or narratively significant posts that move combat and/or the story along.

Displaced Cans

The story is set in a world with 4 distinct nations, each with their importance in and out of the main story, ranging from a massive nation built on a large city, to a divided nation of high mountain dwellers to grassland and desert inhabiting nomads. This campaign has been running for 1 and a half years and i'm looking for a player to join. This is a mostly homebrew world with a homebrew story, with a few house rules just to make the game more enjoyable (notably i decided to axe casters only being able to cast 1 spell on their turn, e.g. Fireball then Misty step being allowed). This dnd uses DnD beyond for the making of sheets and gameplay but uses roll 20 for the visual side and battlemaps. We are also using discord for talking amongst eachother, so only real requirement is that you have a mic, that is all. The party is level 11 and as such you'd be starting at their level, it consists of a Monk, Artificer and a Cleric. There was another player but they've taken a temporary hiatus and the other player has essentially gone awol, hence why im looking for another player. I've been a DM/player for around 2 years now, with my players also playing dnd for around 2 years, we are all around the same age (16-17) . If you wish to join, simply reply with your discord user and a lil bout yourself, favourite class and whatever else you wish to say.

Moonsetter: A Project Moon D&D 5.5e Mini-Campaign

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
M Corp. Residing in District 13 of the City, and the pinnacle of mental and psychological care. Nowhere else will you find psychologists and therapists more qualified. Whether you're suffering from run-of-the-mill struggles, serious mental health conditions, or something more esoteric, you will find no better treatment than within one of M Corp's mental care institutions. …If you're well off, that is. The Backstreet slums of District 13, as is typical for all districts, doesn't get to taste the fruits of its parent corp's labour. Mental health services in the Backstreets are underfunded, neglected, and ineffective for dealing with the City's ails—with one exception. Moonsetter Clinic, founded by an ex-researcher of M Corp, seeks to bring the cutting edge of mental care to the people who most need it. Since its establishment three months ago, it has become a venerated, almost sacred institution to the Backstreets residents. Dozens of people each day walk into the complex, and walk out changed for the better. Even some of the Five Fingers have taken notice, and gone as far as to enforce it as neutral ground exempt from their bloody turf wars. It is a bona fide miracle. You don't buy it. Oh, you had your suspicions before: nothing that good ever graces the Backstreets without some strings attached. But there's also a personal reason behind your mistrust. You know someone—friend or family, colleague or simple acquaintance—who is a frequent patient of this place, and they recently went for their usual check-up. Maybe you even accompanied them to the lobby. It's been days, and they haven't returned. Your suspicion turned to surety. You quickly came across others who shared your experience, banded together, and decided. There is something rotten about Moonsetter Clinic, and you are all going to get to the bottom of it. Introduction Hi there! I am Nope (22, he/they). I hail from the far-off land of New Zealand, and I've been playing and running TTRPGs for close to 9 years now—mainly D&D 5e and 5.5e, but I've also dabbled in other systems like Pf2e and Lancer as well. I am also, as the title might indicate, a big Project Moon fan! This mini-campaign was made to combine two of the interests nearest to my heart, and is hopefully the start of a larger anthology of adventures set in the City. If you're not aware, Project Moon is a Korean indie game studio that creates games set in The City: a cyberpunk dystopia with fantasy elements. Life is cheap, violence is banal and commonplace, and corporation rule unchecked. In terms of vibes, think office workers in suits or streetwear fighting with store-bought swords and back-alley augmentation procedures, living paycheck to paycheck. Familiarity with this setting is not required for this mini-campaign; the plot will be pretty self-contained and won't make many references to the wider Project Moon canon. Details - System: D&D 5.5e, with some homebrew to adapt it to Project Moon's setting. The necessary homebrew is actually quite light (just 9ish pages) thanks to the City arguably borrowing more from high fantasy than conventional sci-fi in its worldbuilding; thus, the majority of translation is in reflavouring abilities and classes rather than bespoke custom rules. You can take a peek at the homebrew I plan to use here. - Level: Probably around 5-7, to be discussed with players during Session 0. Level-up is unlikely, given that this is a single adventure. - Time: Sunday 2pm fortnightly, GMT+12. Sessions will run from 3-4 hours. - Starting Date: My goal is to hold Session 0 sometime in early-mid October! - Length: 4-6 sessions, as a very rough estimate. More likely to be longer than shorter. - Players Needed: 4-5 - Platform: Foundry for VTT, Discord for communication Requirements - Age 18+ - Have a decent mic and a stable internet connection. - Have some decent experience with D&D 5e or 5.5e, or be willing to learn quickly. - Be willing to be earnestly invested in the campaign, and in each other's characters. - Be prompt and timely in showing up to sessions; give advance notice of a few days if you're not able to make it. - Don't be a bigot or an asshole. - No use of generative AI; I'm not a fan. Further Considerations - This is an LGBTQ+ friendly table! If you're not comfortable with that, go elsewhere. - The following topics will be covered: classism, mental health, medical malpractice, slight body horror. - The campaign will likely have a focus on combat and social interaction, with limited exploration. - This campaign is intended to be serious, but not misery porn! There will be ample space for jokes, light-hearted moments, and goofiness in general. - Combat difficulty will aim for 'challenging but fair'. I'm not interested in playing every encounter absolutely optimally; enemies will act based on their personalities, goals, and the current situation. As a DM, my priority is for combat to be fun and engaging, while still maintaining actual stakes—notably, this means non-zero chances of character death. - The setting of the campaign is not perfectly 1-to-1 with the Project Moon setting, due to D&D's mechanics and structure. The biggest divergence from canon is that magic as it works in D&D exists in the City and is well-understood and utilized as just one of many pathways to gain power, alongside technology, augmentations, and sheer competence. - Project Moon's stories are very character-focused, with emphasis on personal trauma, character growth, and facing your fears to achieve self-actualization. Include the word sun somewhere in your application. While the scope of this mini-campaign means there probably won't be much in the way of formative character arcs and development, I want to keep that focus on character-driven personal stories that Project Moon is known for. - My hope is to run this mini-campaign and others like it (some set in the City, some with their own bespoke settings) to build a community of like-minded players, with whom I hope to establish a long-term TTRPG gaming group! - I am technically a Project Moon larper LMAO (haven't played any of the games, got into it purely through watching playthroughs and wiki-diving) Applying If you want to apply, fill out this form! Once I gather enough respondents, I will shortlist a number of potential players and schedule interviews with them over voice call on Discord. After that, I will select 4-5 players to invite to a Session 0, and hopefully from there the campaign will begin!

A Deltarune-themed campaign The Roaring had come and gone. The light-world was ravaged by rivers of darkness bursting from the ground, ending the lives of many. Others, however... The new world of darkness granted the survivors, specifically the monster-type Lightners magic. Some have taken keenly to their certain types of magic, while others need more training... Humans, however...  You play as the heroes of a new prophecy. The original human, monster, and "prince." This time accompanied by the cloaked mage, and the blue tactictian. (Pre-made sheets of Kris, Susie, Ralsei, Noelle and Berdly.) Though the world is blanketed by darkness, light, as a force always exists... Pockets of light, dragging people far above have been appearing... It is up to the heroes to figure out the mystery behind them.

AD&D 2e - Adventures in Avigard

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Looking for players interested in playing in a heavily homebrewed AD&D 2e environment, based in the homebrew world of Avigard. This setting is entirely homebrew and involves a full redesign of classes, new classes, and the integration of a freeform magic system that fully replaces vancian magic.  We're currently in the phase of simply looking for players, and the goal is to find a time between 12 PM to 4 PM for playing on Sundays in a local game store or at someone's house if someone has the room for it. Despite being AD&D 2e the game will be run in a more roleplay oriented way. Though the world will be dangerous and it's worth weighing your options in risky situations, and combat is never a favored outcome, it will not be strictly deadly. I run with the 2e Bleed out rules and am generally happy to provide situations with healers if resurrection of characters are needed. I enjoy helping people make backstories and will happily figure one out, but with AD&D 2e backstories should be simpler than the usual 5e fare.

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
A stolen fortune leads from the streets of Sasserine to pirate-infested seas, lost jungles, ancient ruins, and the horrors of the Savage Tide. Start your fall with a brand-new campaign! Your journey begins in the City of Sails, where a missing fortune and a desperate noblewoman draw you into a conspiracy of thieves, pirates, ancient secrets, and demonic forces. You will command ships, brave pirate-infested seas, explore the lost jungles of the Isle of Dread, uncover forgotten civilizations, and decide the fate of a world threatened by the Savage Tide. This campaign is my 5e conversion of Dungeon Magazine’s legendary Savage Tide Adventure Path—an epic adventure that carries its heroes from the streets of Sasserine to mysterious islands and far beyond. Along the way, you will battle savage creatures, confront dark cults, and awaken ancient powers that should have remained forgotten. What begins as a desperate search for a missing fortune will grow into a struggle for countless lives—and perhaps the fate of the world itself. The campaign features a new homebrew naval combat system designed to be exciting, cinematic, and easy to learn. Perfect for players who enjoy long-term campaigns where choices matter, characters grow, and the world changes around them. Will you rise against the coming darkness—or be swept away by the Savage Tide? The tide is rising. The crew is assembling. Don’t miss the boat! Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Known by all, loved by many, the most popular and respected Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate in the city's history, a legendary hero and adventurer of years past, Abdel Adrian, also know as Gorion's Ward, is about to give a speech at The Wide - the biggest plaza in the Upper City of Baldur's Gate often used as a marketplace. The occasion for the speech is the Returning Day - the most important Baldurian holiday when people celebrate the return of the famous sailor Balduran from Anchorôme to Faerûn, who brought unbelievable riches from his voyage back to his home village of Gray Harbor some 400 years ago and ordered the fortification of the village and building of the city walls around it, thus founding Baldur's Gate. You are among the spectators, the audience at The Wide, ready to witness the living legend. But something goes wrong. Terribly wrong... Starting from that day, you will be caught in the middle of a whirlwind of catastrophic events that would signify the beginning of the Second Sundering - the cataclysm that would later shape the Forgotten Realms as you know them. Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
So it took me longer than expected but i am finally getting stuff together for my own campaign. Maps and minis and stuff. I would prefer to have players who can commit to regular play but i can easily work with absences due to the nature of the campaign. I am still looking for around 60/40 roleplay/combat.  I am willing to do a short one or two session adventure in my setting if people want to feel things out first. I intend to rent out the private room for sessions. I don't know if this matters to people but I have 0 desire to use AI in any of my campaign so if that matters to you there you go. A summary of the setting and what's going on as relayed by Arius, the figure with the bow in the images:  Long ago, when gods ruled the land, and men sailed the sea, when the earth trembled and the sky broke, a great beast rose up in the shadows, and cast the world into perpetual twilight. As the shadows grew long, horrible monsters rose from them. For many long years, the gods fought against this darkness, but they struggled. They cast their holy light upon the beast, but the brighter it burned, the darker the shadows became.  Finally, in the year 482 of the common era, Lifskona, the goddess of the sun, queen of the heavens, made a deal with the men of the sea. They would be allowed dominion over the land, in exchange for driving the beasts away, so that the gods could direct their power towards their true foe. Man would be blessed with great magic to aid in this war.  Their attention no longer divided, the gods soon succeeded in binding their foe, and banishing him from the mortal realm, ending the long twilight. It was not so easy for man. Even with their new power, the tribes of the sea struggled to gain ground against the monsters we call the Drak.  What the gods percieved as a short conflict was a multigenerational war of attrition. Neither side gained ground and the fields of Flodlan ran red with blood.  It seemed the violence would never end. Many considered returning to the sea, and a happier world. It was only 20 years ago that the Namea appeared from the south to lend us their aid. Mysterious and wise, they turned the tide at the brink of defeat, and together with the men of the sea, pushed the Drak west into the desert.  Ram Anu, our king and the man who led us in that final push, rode back different. Nobody who rode with him will speak of what occurred.  6 years ago, the king rode out again, to end the Drak menace once and for all. He has never returned.  If that piques your interest, let me know. I know i've posted about this twice now. It's just taken a while to get things going.

The Voyage

Inspired by Homer's Odyssey, this campaign plunges adventurers into a world where the gods are fickle, monsters lurk beyond every horizon, and every island holds a new trial. Sail across storm-tossed seas, outwit legendary creatures, survive cursed kingdoms, and navigate the ambitions of both mortals and immortals. Your choices will shape your legend. Will you rely on steel, wit, diplomacy, or deception? Every voyage tests not only your strength, but your loyalty, courage, and humanity. This is a campaign of exploration, heroic deeds, political intrigue, and ancient myth. Expect dangerous sea travel, memorable NPCs, moral dilemmas, and epic encounters. The sea remembers every promise. The gods never forget an insult. And home is never as simple as it seems. Defy the Gods? or Earn their protection? -NEON the DM *This campaign will be livestreamed every session starting at 1*

Join my new campaign/ already play-tested*** Welcome to Oregon State University, 1995. Home of the Beavers, Hard study, Parties, late-night pizza… and the occasional creature stalking the dorm hallways at 3 a.m. At first the strange events seem isolated — a missing tutor, fresh food turning rotten overnight, an attack in the science block car park, and rumours of something moving through the forests at night. But the deeper you investigate, the clearer it becomes: Something ancient is stirring beneath Corvallis and whisper in the dark speak of a rising Cult. You didn’t ask to become monster hunters — but you have seen beyond the mortal veil that protects society’s mind. Someone has to uncover the truth before the town is swallowed by whatever is crawling out of the shadows. And right now, you’re the only ones who believe the danger is real. The truth is out there-if you are brave enough to find it. What to Expect in This Game In this campaign, you will play students or faculty uncovering supernatural mysteries around **Oregon State University and the surrounding town of Corvallis. Each mystery will lead you deeper into a hidden world of strange events, forgotten folklore, and supernatural forces that most people refuse to believe exist. Players will: • Investigate strange disappearances and unexplained events • Explore eerie locations across campus and the surrounding forests • Interview witnesses and follow unsettling clues • Confront monsters and supernatural threats • Slowly uncover a much larger mystery hidden within the town Every investigation reveals another piece of the truth — and the deeper you dig, the more dangerous that truth becomes. Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Welcome to Glemmerrúm, a free in-person, kid-friendly beginner D&D campaign in NE DC on Sunday afternoons. We are looking for some beginner players to explore the Glemmerrúm, a collaborative, home-brew D&D 5.5e campaign, designed for kids (9+) and adults to play together. Characters will start at Level 3 and progress throughout the campaign. Anyone under 18 who wants to join will need an adult playing/present with them. The game is in-person and will take place every Sunday afternoon in NE DC, from September to December. Once we have six players confirmed, we’ll set up a Session Zero next week, before the first session Sunday, September 13th. While this is my first time DM-ing a full D&D campaign, I have run numerous D&D one-shots. Please complete this form to join us: https://forms.gle/dbE7TqkToFecrREd6 -- Cheers!

Looking for players interested in playing D&D 5e or Draw Steel. I've been running D&D for ~10 years but I have not run DS so it might be a learning curve if we choose thatbut we'll get there. I sometimes use minis and props but not always. This is free but you bring the snacks and the motivation. We can decide what kind of game we want to run together.

Seeking at least 2 players for long term campaign: if interested respond here, or add me via discord: darksc2. Easier to message me through Reddit though. Story synopsis [undead themed] Pheanulon the Undying Empire: The Six Realms of Rane are in an Age of Prosperity, as they are rebuilding their strength after the last Calamity left them greatly weakened. As opposed to them, the Edrepis Dynasty of Verera was able to keep most of their strength and therefore was able to unify their continent under their Faith But the finer details of these Grand Stories are too much for now, you were interested in a flier of a Trading Companies job posting about excavating a rediscovered tomb that paid very well. So you made your way to their company from all different corners of the world; some people arrived earlier than you and were able to complete the job where they found clues of the past Undead Calamity known as "The Dark Tide" coming back to the world. For that reason, they quickly left for their next job for not only more clues but also personal goals, not believing them or wanting to support this group in their endeavour you decide to head off after them session time and requirements: Saturday at 6pm cst which goes for a time period of 3-4 hours. Need discord and foundry browser. Please if applying come with a character concept and idea. Player preference on roleplayers but the campaign is split roughly 60/40 between roleplay and combat. DM is German and English is his second language so if that is a deal breaker maybe rethink it. system and rules used: free archetype/ancestral paragon are rules implemented into the game. Banned creation choices: Classes: Exemplar Races: Samsaran, Wayang, Jotunborn, Vishkanya Yaksha Heritages: Ancient Elf, Ancient-Blooded Dwarf

Dungeons and Balrogs?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a group of 2 - 4 Tolkien fans for an ongoing campaign set in Middle Earth. I’d love to find a DM who is familiar with the lore of Tolkien’s world as well as a few other players who would enjoy exploring Middle Earth. I’m an inexperienced player and have only played in person (and that was at least ten years ago!). As such, I’m unfamiliar with the different online platforms. I’m also flexible on what system we use. I’ve only ever played 5e and it’s the only system I have information about, but I’m willing to learn another system. One thing I’d like to mention is that I’d like to explore a timeline outside of the events of The Hobbit and LOTR. It could be long before or long after. Our characters are probably small potatoes compared to Aragorn, Gandalf, etc. Also, as I understand it, magic is pretty rare in the world and so our characters probably aren’t wizards. I don’t think being a Tolkien scholar should be a requirement for joining. We can all learn together. I think it would be more important that a prospective player is interested in the lore. If this sounds interesting, I’d love to hear from you! And perhaps if you have some experience, you can help steer the logistics of setting a game up.

Very interested in getting together a group to play cyberpunk, shadowrun, lancer, or perhaps starfinder. Any edition of any of these is fine with me, just looking for some good old dark sci fi gaming. I'd rather not gm but if push comes to shove I could be persuaded. I've been playing 5e for about 4 years and have only one session experience with lancer and with cyberpunk red, but I'm down for something crunchy and tactical. Hit me up :)

Hollows of Iparea [Text-based] Pitch: You have arrived on a dying planet with no recollection of how you got there. Something is terribly wrong, that much is certain, and worse yet, the planet itself appears to be living. Thralls of an unintelligible hive mind are the only remnants of intelligent life to be seen, and you see echoes of past civilizations in abandon everywhere around you. Your crashed vessel and memories offer no help, and whatever happened here, your survival may depend on a species you cannot understand. System: 5e legacy Tools: Discord, Owlbear Rodeo (VTT). This is a text campaign, you do not need a mic. D&DBeyond sheets are preferred but any others are allowed. Schedule: Fridays, 5 PM - 7 PM EST. Seats: 6 Expectations Game: Players of all experience levels are allowed, but I ask that beginners have a basic understanding of the game's mechanics and know how to create a character beforehand. My DMs are always open for any questions, comments, or concerns about the game. I ask that players don't use AI for responses or for character art. Flying races and Warforged (they don't exist in the setting) are banned. Rudimentary firearms are a thing, and gunslingers are allowed, but modern firearms and technology do not exist. Homebrew is not allowed for classes, and any other homebrew must be run by me. UA and official WotC material is, of course, allowed. 18+ is preferred, and this game is strictly 16+. Characters start at 5th level. Themes: In a nutshell: semi-sci-fi, high fantasy/cosmic horror. This game's overall themes revolve around memory, identity, and isolation. This game also involves elements of survival horror, and resources will be tracked (and scarce). Tone: Overall surreal, bleak, and atmospheric. Safety Tools: TTRPG Safety Checklist & pre-game interview. You can reach out to me at @paws4reason on Discord.

Age of Umbra Campaign - Daggerheart

An ongoing, weekly campaign in the Dark Fantasy Setting of the Age of Umbra Campaign Frame. You are one of the Enduring in a world that was abandoned by it's gods. A century has passed since the God-King Othedias betrayed the Pantheon, provoking divine punishment and abandonment by the gods that left the realm of the Halcyon Domain shattered, desolate, and eternally cursed. Throughout this shadow-choked land of decaying fortresses and dreadful monstrosities, surviving communities cling to hope in the face of lightless oblivion. In an Age of Umbra campaign, you’ll play heroic survivors who protect their community from the terrors beyond their walls, venture out into the unknown to hunt the nightmares that twist and grow with each fallen soul, seek answers to the curses that corrupt this world, and perhaps even discover a way to change its fate. TONE & FEEL Ancient, Daunting, Epic, Grim, Ominous, Terrifying, Tragic THEMES Apocalypse, Corruption, Darkness vs Light, Hope, Redemption, Survival TOUCHSTONES Dark Souls, Kingdom Death: Monster, Berserk, The Seventh Seal, Blasphemous Recruitment: LGBTQ+ friendly, female friendly, safe space. Please comment on this post and send me a PM with a few words about you as a person. 21+, Mic, Camera (yes, a must!) Tools: Discord, , Heart of Daggers, Owlbear Rodeo Cadence: Weekly on Sunday, Sometimes maybe Weekday evenings, please include your availabilities in your DM, but you should be available weekly. My ideal time would be Sundays starting between 2-4 PM CEST,  4 hour sessions. In your DM please include: Name, Age, TTRPG experience, what is your favorite Thing about Daggerheart? Welcome. This is a playtest for Lost Mine of Phandelver. If your application is accepted you will be a part of the first group to set the baseline for this world from start to finish. Help me polish this adventure and your characters may just be immortalized in some way. Expectations: - 4 or 5 players - Starting at level 4, playing from levels 4-9 (its normally designed for 1-5) - Aiming for Monday Sept 14th with an optional 'Session Zero' Monday Sept 7th if applications fill fast - 1 Free roll of stats, 4d6 drop the lowest, otherwise pointbuy (Please declare it in Roll20 chat) - Vanilla Forgotten Realms Dnd (mostly using rules from 5.5e, 5e classes and the like are allowed) - Open to a 5e rules playthrough, applications will determine. - Focus on questing and combat (think Tactician level difficulty) - Aiming for 20 sessions (with distant options to get into DoIP or ToA. Shattered Obelisk was considered but not my style) - For character backstories you will be assigned secrets (as seen in the adventure IDRotFM) but I am flexible here. - Downtime, IC conversations, shopping, etc will be encouraged over discord and less in game. - Possible monster card game if I have time. (Defeat a monster, gain their card, cards can lvl up, play NPCs for keeps, etc.) No players under 18 No homebrew or Unearthed Arcana. No primarily evil characters at the start (may revisit this as the campaign progresses) Most books are allowed (list in discord) If you have a question about some popular combos (shepherd druid, coffeelock, conjure woodland beings, etc) I am flexible If you have a question about some item combos (bag of beans, equipping a familiar, illusionist bracers, etc) feel free to ask Write Gygax in your application so I can see you read this. Some brief homebrew rules (not the full list): - Level ups by milestones - Flanking, but only for Rogues - Anyone can grapple on an op attack, including enemies - Rest casting ok, but incurs 1 lvl of special exhaustion that cant be mitigated till next longrest - Cant benefit from a full rest in armor (unless Warforged or Autognome, etc) - 2 of the 8hrs rest can be done awake, however, staying awake in camp requires Con check - Starting gold may be rolled once in Roll20 chat. - Inspiration has ways of being earned (see discord) - Write the name 'Greenwood' in your application for free inspiration. - You may sell unneeded items at half price but need to wait till in game to buy stuff, initially. - Death saves are rolled in private (But, characters 5ft away can make a free medicine check [DC 12]) - Characters preforming help action requires proficiency for the respective ability check. - We will try not to dogpile skill checks, but I may ask multiple characters for the same check - Druids can equip metal - Using surprised condition from 2024 - Orc NPCs are evil bc Grummsh said so, Halforcs can be any alignment (players can still play anything with any alignment) - S, M component discrepancy mostly ignored if you have a spell focus. V components can be no quieter than a 'chant' About me: -Around 2000hrs experience, with limited one-shot GMing -Completed LMoP, SO, ToA, OOtA, DoIP, WDH -Heavily played in SKT, Planescape, IDRotFM, DragonLance, Scarlet Citadel, BG3 800hrs+

From simple goblins and thieves to fighting full on multiversal threats this campaign is perfect for new players and veterans alike. To play you need an account on Roll20 and you need discord.

Crooked Moon (Foundry VTT 5.5e)

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Looking for 2-3 more players — The Crooked Moon (Foundry, 5.5e, online) Hey folks, Two players + me as DM, looking to fill out our table to 4-5 for The Crooked Moon. Quick note, yeah it's a "scary" campaign, but I'm not running gothic horror, this isn't Ravenloft. More Grimm farytale spooky-adventure-with-stakes than Ravenloft's "Gothic horror" doom and gloom, spiraling into maddness. Table's got jokes, nobody's precious about tone. What we need: can commit to (nearly) weekly sessions (life happens, we get it, but "shows up when convenient" won't work for the group). Know 5.5e or willing to learn it (it's not hard).  Never used Foundry before? No problem, it just means less time fumbling with rules and more time actually playing. Good mix of combat, exploration, and RP (were not super serious about "getting into charachter, but have fun), and the maps, charchters and stories are genuinely well made (thats not a brag, check out www.kickstarter.com/projects/legendsofavantris/the-crooked-moon-folk-horror-in-5e. One more thing so it's not a surprise, a 4th friend pops in as a guest every few sessions when his schedule allows, think of him as someone who (hopfully) shows up when things get really bad. Were planning on starting in about a month when we finish our current campaign, but the way things are going it might even take 2...  If that sounds good, feel free to hit me up on Discord me and let's talk.

Looking for a few players

Hi,  I'm looking for a few people for my online game called The Fate of Eros.  It's a d&d 5e game with some changes to magic and a few other things. Eros is a living sentient planet that you live in, it was a beautiful and lively planet that now slowly dieing because of of wars between the normal folk and the magic users who at the believed the normies where benieth them and forced a lot of them to be their servants.  The normal folk rebelled and the first war between the two sides.   After the last war which almost killed Eros and killed over half the people; the council of 6 was formed.  The Council gathered survivors and helped them remake some of the cities.  Those who didn't want to live in the cities live in small villages. The group is made up of people who were brought back from death or from the first city they were brought too.  Or the village they just left.   If interested please let me know!

[Online][5e 2014][Homebrew][EST][Sunday 6pm–9pm]

[5e 2014][Sunday 6pm–9pm] Return to the Known World Hello! I’m a Dungeon Master focused on running a challenging, memorable game. I’m not interested in politics or personal worldviews at the table, just good players who want a great experience together. If that works for you, read on. ________________________________________ RETURN TO THE KNOWN WORLD There is a song playing in your head. “Butterfly in the sky, I can fly twice as high…” You don’t know where it’s from. Something about a rainbow. Rainbows are nice. Butterflies too. That thought feels… comforting. “Hey! The merch is waking up.” A rough voice. Alarmed. Angry. “Hells,” another voice whines. “I told you that Rapture Weed was looking wilted.” “Well whose idea was it to save two silvers buying from your new ‘friend’ instead of our usual source?” the first snaps. “Doesn’t matter now. Grab a shovel and start bashing heads in. They never buy the heads anyway.” A pause. “Well… that one does,” the second mutters. “Don’t talk about him. Don’t think about him. He reads minds. Move.” Footsteps scatter. You force one gummy eyelid open. An orange face swims into view. Hobgoblin. You don’t remember why, but a hobgoblin this close is very bad news. You try to move. “Oh no you’re not going anywhere.” Old instincts spark. Danger. React. All around you, other figures in rags stir. Groaning. Waking. So are you. ________________________________________ ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN Welcome to a grim reimagining of The Known World (Mystara), the classic D&D setting of the 1980s and 90s. This is a world where: • Clerics burn wizards • Elves and dwarves stand ready to exterminate one another • Ancient grudges matter more than modern convenience This is classic fantasy, stripped of safety rails. ________________________________________ BEFORE YOU SIGN UP — READ CAREFULLY You are not the hero of this story. You might not even be remembered. You may die before leaving the first room. Or worse. Historically, only about 5% of starting characters survive to the end. When one falls, a new “associate by circumstance” arrives. Some call them friends. Others call them meat shields. This is a long-term campaign, typically just under two years. If you want: • Power fantasies • Guaranteed plot armor • Neatly scripted heroic arcs This is not your table. If you want: • Tension and consequence • Dark humor • Survival against impossible odds • Stories you’ll still be telling years later Pull yourself up off the stone floor. The hobgoblin is waiting. ________________________________________ SESSION DETAILS • System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e (Homebrew), modified ruleset (Not the 2024/5.2 update, simply never incorporated it) • Schedule: 3 out of 4 Sundays, 6:00–9:00 PM Eastern • Platform: Foundry VTT • Voice/Text: Discord • Character Rules: 5e Expert Classes https://www.dmsguild.com/en/product/373925/5e-expert-classes (You do not need to buy anything, all materials are provided in Foundry) ________________________________________ HOW TO APPLY Send me a message with: 1. Your TTRPG experience (new players welcome) 2. What you enjoy most in a game like this 3. Your availability and reliability for long-term play If you’ve read this far and are still interested, you’re probably the kind of player I want. Happy adventuring. The Immortals are watching… though they don’t know you exist.

Rise of the Runelords - D&D 5e adaptation

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
**System:** D&D 5e (2024 rules) **Player experience level:** Any, new players are more than welcome **Price:** $15 per session, paid via Patreon (Session Zero + First free) **Platform:** Foundry VTT, Discord for voice and video. --- #### Welcome to Rise of the Runelords, Paizo's acclaimed Pathfinder 1e AP adapted for D&D 5e. An epic fantasy adventure with darker, grittier undertones and horror elements, taking characters from level 1 to 15. Located on the largely untamed frontier of Varisia, the coastal town of Sandpoint has faced few trials and dangers over the course of its forty-two-year history. Unfortunately, that is all about to change. Your adventure begins here, as a series of seemingly unconnected events gradually draw your characters into a mystery far darker than anyone could’ve imagined. You see, millennia ago, before Earthfall, a cataclysm that devastated Golarion and brought an end to many ancient civilisations, these lands were part of a mighty empire. Its influence and power were unrivalled at the time, yet it fell with the rest of the ancient world. Remnants of its former glory still dot Varisia’s landscape. And while the people of Sandpoint may have little reason to concern themselves with the distant past, they will soon find out that it has far greater bearing on their lives than they realise. As with any epic story, your journey will take you far beyond the walls of Sandpoint. You'll face hundreds of foes, explore ancient ruins, and brave Varisia’s gloomy forests and rugged mountains as you uncover the source of the darkness threatening the land. Fight strong, for you may be the only thing keeping Varisia, and perhaps Golarion itself, safe from doom! --- I’ve been a huge fan of Paizo’s Adventure Paths for a long time, particularly the older ones. Since 5e has a considerably larger player base than Pathfinder in general, especially compared to the 1st edition, adapting them for D&D felt like a great way to bring these amazing stories to people who might otherwise not experience them. To get everyone ready for the adventure, we'll have a free Session Zero. During it we’ll create characters, get to know each other, and go over any other relevant details so everyone's on the same page before we begin.

The Cities of Man

Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
The Cities of Man GW6 Ruleset (d20 MSRD) Gamma World GW3 Series (GW6-GW11) -Alpha Factor -Beta Principle -Gamma Base -Delta Fragment -Epsilon Cyborgs -Omega Project --- In the dim past of what is now called the Shadow Years, mankind had built a world of wonder and glory. The world had consolidated into several mighty nations, and seeking new frontiers, man had set out to explore the heavens. What catastrophe could devastate such a powerful people none now know as the events are buried in the ashes of destruction. Legends persist, of course, but the truth of these may never be known. Some hold that Man became too proud of his accomplishments, and the forces of the cosmos sought to teach him a lesson. Others propose that wicked men came into power and chose a path of conquest. Still others believe it was all the result of a colossal mistake! Whatever the cause, nation rose up against nation and deadly war was waged. Awesome weapons of destruction scoured the earth, deadly lasers, dread atomic bombs, chemical and biological agents that dissolved flesh, all did their terrible work. Oceans boiled; continents buckled. The skies blazed with the light of unholy energies. And the Age of Glory passed away. By the time the violence subsided, the very face of the world had changed. Mountains had fallen. Rivers tamed for hundreds of years raged wildly through broken dams. Not a single city remained intact. The Shadow Years descended. Not one of 10,000 survived that one day war. Of those survivors, over two-thirds died in the resulting radiation deathglow and biochemical poisons. But the world was granted a second chance, a legacy to all the creatures of Earth. To survive the deadly wilderness, one had to either learn to resist the earth poisons or to adapt to them. The few who found the means to resist continued; the pure strain species of man. Most plants and creatures changed and adapted to the awful new world. And with those changes, the creatures of the world realized new and great untapped powers. Many gained intelligence and discovered amazing mental powers never before known. The world witnessed the birth of countless new and sometimes violent species. This then is the way the world is. It is a land of brooding, gigantic forests, wild unbroken plains, and rugged mountains. In places the wilds give way to man-made deserts and deathlands. The ruins of the past dot the landscape. In this world, nature is merciless, death is quick, and strangers are regarded with caution and suspicion. Scattered across the continent are tiny settlements of intelligent creatures and those pitiful remnants of ancient America's society who still survive, scratching a precarious living from the hostile land. Their only hope is to recover the glory of the past, to rebuild society, to restore the age of wonder and prove themselves worthy heirs of mankind. For somewhere, out there in the Great Void, await the brothers of this world. If only the intelligent races can mature from their barbarism, and escape the wilderness, then they may at last be welcomed into those lost Worlds of Man. Journey now, into the far furure, where life is both dangerous and exciting, where those who lived before the Shadow Years are called "the Ancients," and are regarded with awe for their dimly understood science, where the wonders of Man's highest technology exist side by side with the stone axe and chainmail, where exotic mutations abound, where strange new powers of the mind shape life, and where none are left unchanged --- System: D&D 3.5 MSRD/Gamma World 6E (D20) Platforms: -D20Pro - https://d20pro.com -Discord Date & Time: (-6 UTC/CST); Time TBD by Consensus; No Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays; Open Slots: 4 (No Evil Characters – No Exceptions) Information: -Established Alternate Prime Existence -Modified Planar Mechanics & Templates -Post-Apocalypse -Well-rounded (RP/HS/PS/Exploration) -Grimdark (All choices have consequences) -Un-Common/Unusual Weather -Cosmic Events -Psionics (accepted) -Concept Characters (most accepted) The following are tracked during game-play: -Time -Encumbrance -Alignment -Aging -Faction Reputation Requirements: -D20Pro VTT (Java) -Discord (Voice Only)

Looking for players for Minis on table top simulator.  I prefer One Page Rules but am willing to play some Warhammer if you are ok with me being a bit ignorant of the rules (I haven't played in a few years).  Have experience with AOS  40K  Warhammer Fantasy, aka Old World One Page Rules Battletech Battle Fleet Gothic (and the one-page rules version).  If you haven't played on the tabletop simulator, I have plenty of experience and have extensive tech knowledge; I can help you get set up.

The Bells of Veyr

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hey yall! I'm an experienced DM based in Italy, looking to bring together 4–6 players for a new adventure set in an original world within a larger multiverse I've been developing for years. I'm not looking for a party of strangers who happen to travel together because the plot requires it. I'd love to build a group of characters who already matter to one another. Friends, siblings, families, former/current lovers, rivals, people bound by oaths or shared mistakes. Relationships that can grow, deteriorate, heal, and genuinely influence the story. What I'm looking for Players who enjoy roleplaying, character development, emotional storytelling, and contributing to a shared narrative. You don't have to be an experienced roleplayer or voice actor. I'd much rather have somebody who's curious, kind, engaged, and willing to give other players room to shine. Each character will begin with meaningful connections to at least two other party members, developed collaboratively during Session Zero. I particularly value players who are interested in other characters' stories, not just their own. There will be exploration, danger, mysteries, and combat, but I want the emotional consequences of our decisions to matter just as much as the mechanical ones. Tone and boundaries Expect a world of old castles, haunted estates, beautiful and unsettling places, complicated people, and morally difficult choices. But also expect for the possibility of changing setting, based on the party's overall choices, preferences, etc. If there will be horror it will lean toward atmosphere, tragedy, psychological unease, and the supernatural rather than constant graphic violence. This is explicitly an LGBTQ+ inclusive table. Respect for other players and their boundaries is essential. We'll discuss content boundaries and expectations before starting. Nobody will be required to engage in anything they're uncomfortable with. A little about me I love building interconnected worlds, creating characters with their own motivations, and allowing players to genuinely change the direction of a story. Some of my favorite moments in D&D are the quiet ones: an unexpected conversation, a difficult reconciliation, a decision made because a character cares about someone. I'd like to find people who enjoy those moments too. I'm hoping to begin with a shorter story arc and see whether we want to turn it into something longer. Interested? Send me a Reddit DM with a short introduction, your time zone and availability, your experience with tabletop RPGs, and what appeals to you about this kind of campaign. I'd also love to hear about a fictional relationship, from any story, that you found particularly compelling, and what made it memorable. I'll arrange a brief chat with prospective players before organizing Session Zero. No first-come-first-served selection. I'd rather find a group with compatible expectations and good chemistry. Thanks for reading. I'd love to build something memorable together.

Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. A year ago, you all escaped from a terrible city. The Prince was a blood thirsty tyrant, who thrived on melodrama and revenge. He believed he was the world’s greatest lover, the world’s greatest politician, the world’s greatest musician, the world’s greatest everything. Anyone who dared to even think of questioning him was thrown to his war dogs: a group of incredibly dangerous vampires who followed his orders without question. Sick of the Camarilla, you ran to the nearest Anarch city. Here, you thought you found a place of safety, but the Baron turned out to be just another power-hungry beast. His ambitions and appetites endangered the safety and reputation of the city. You decided that if the Anarchs refused to live up to their values, you’d enforce them for them. Your coterie removed the Baron from power. You’ve created a power vacuum in the name of justice. Now, you must fill it while contending with the worst Masquerade breach the city has ever seen. Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The Realm of mankind is narrow and constricted. Always the forces of Chaos press upon its borders, seeking to enslave its populace, rape its riches, and steal its treasures. If it were not for a stout few, many in the Realm would indeed fall prey to the evil which surrounds them. Yet, there are always certain exceptional and brave members of humanity, as well as similar  individuals among its allies - dwarves, elves, and halflings - who rise above the common level and join battle to stave off the darkness which would otherwise overwhelm the land. Bold adventurers from the Realm set off for the Borderlands to seek their fortune. It is these adventurers who, provided they survive the challenge, carry the battle to the enemy. Such adventurers meet the forces of Chaos in a testing ground where only the fittest will return to relate the tale. Here, these individuals will become skilled in their profession, be it fighter or magic-user, cleric or thief. They will be tried in the fire of combat, those who return, hardened and more fit. True, some few who do survive the process will turn from Law and good and serve the masters of Chaos, but most will remain faithful and ready to fight chaos wherever it threatens to infect the Realm. You are indeed members of that exceptional class, adventurers who have journeyed to the KEEP ON THE BORDERLANDS in search of fame and fortune. Of course you are inexperienced, but you have your skills and a heart that cries out for adventure. You have it in you to become great, but you must gain experience and knowledge and greater skill. There is much to learn, and you are willing and eager to be about it! Each of you has come with everything which could possibly be given you to help. Sign up here:  https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmleg236r00awl1042w6k0pbn You were turned into a vampire less than six months ago. You have no status. No patron. No seat at any table. And in this city, no one holds uncontested power. Ancient factions compete for influence in the shadows. 🩸 The Camarilla offers stability, tradition, and protection — if you accept their authority. 🩸 The Anarchs promise freedom and power for those bold enough to take it. 🩸 The Ministry whispers of faith, temptation, and liberation from the lies of vampire society. None of them trust each other. All of them are watching the newest vampires in the city. And now something has gone wrong. A feral vampire begins killing in your hunting grounds, threatening the Masquerade and drawing dangerous attention. Unfortunately, the blame is falling on your coterie. Handle it poorly, and you’ll be dismissed as reckless fledglings. Handle it well? 🩸 The city might finally start to notice you. The Chronicle You begin as newly embraced vampires, still learning the rules of the undead world. The opening story introduces the dangers of unlife — hunting, secrecy, faction politics, and the struggle to hold onto your humanity. After that initial crisis resolves, the direction of the chronicle opens up based on your choices. Your coterie will decide: 🩸 Which factions you trust — or betray 🩸 What territory you claim as your domain 🩸 Which allies you cultivate 🩸 Which enemies you create 🩸 What kind of vampires you ultimately become Some coteries pursue power and influence. Some fight to remain independent in a city full of predators. Some struggle to hold onto what little humanity they have left. The city reacts to all of it. Allies remember. Enemies plot. Power shifts. What to Expect: 🩸 Political intrigue between rival vampire factions 🩸 Territory and domain conflicts 🩸 Character-driven storytelling 🩸 Personal horror and moral dilemmas 🩸 A reactive city shaped by your choices Every character will have personal goals, relationships, and storylines that influence the chronicle. New Players Welcome --No prior experience with Vampire: The Masquerade is required. Your characters begin as newly turned vampires, meaning you’ll learn the world of the undead at the same time your character does. Experienced players will find plenty of room for political maneuvering, faction intrigue, and long-term consequences. Have a vampire concept you’re excited about? Message me! I’m happy to help shape characters that fit the city, the factions, and the story we’ll build together.

The Witchlight Carnival — A Feywild Mystery

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Sign up here: startplaying.games In this Daggerheart campaign, you’ll begin with a clear mission: enter the mysterious Witchlight Carnival, find a path into the Feywild realm of Prismeer, and discover what happened to the powerful archfey Zybilna. But once you arrive at the carnival, something becomes disturbingly familiar. You’ve been here before. Long ago, when you were a child, something was taken from you. Not gold. Not gear. Something personal—something you may have spent years believing was simply part of who you are. A memory. A feeling. A talent. A sense of belonging. A piece of yourself. Now, the trail of that loss leads in the same direction as your mission. From the Witchlight Carnival, you’ll cross into Prismeer, a fractured fairy-tale realm where reality bends to emotion, promises carry power, and the past, present, and future have fallen into dangerous hands. Over the course of the campaign, you will: Explore surreal locations, from living swamps and enchanted forests to impossible mountains and storybook kingdoms gone wrong. Discover how your own childhood loss is connected to the forces now controlling the realm Negotiate with cunning Fey, strange rulers, tricksters, monsters, and creatures with agendas of their own Make bargains, promises, and difficult choices that can reshape the story Recover what was taken from you—and decide what it means to become whole again. Using the Daggerheart system, the campaign emphasizes cinematic storytelling, emotional stakes, collaborative worldbuilding, and character growth. Your Hope, Stress, relationships, and personal history matter just as much as what you can do in a fight.

The Somnium Shard |5.5e DnD| Long-Term Sandbox Sun

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Hello there! We are a group of four (3 players plus the dm) currently about to start a new campaign and are looking for one or two more players to join! We usually play early saturdays and try to keep it as regular as possible though life does sometimes get in the way. The games take place on Foundry VTT and Discord. We all have differnt levels of experience so being a beginner should be no trouble at all.  All that being said, we're all dedicated players who especially like character development, roleplay and lore aspects of the game but really enjoy it all and just want to play more D&D. Lastly, everyone is 18+ and we would like to keep it so especially since this module does have darker themes. If you are interested just send a message my way and let me know: What should we call you? Are you over 18? Do you have any experience with D&D/TTRPGs?

Welcome to the Hellfire Club | One-shot | 12pm GMT

D&D 5e one-shot TODAY | 12:00 GMT (3pm Saudi / 8am ET) | 2 to 3 players wanted | New players welcome I'm running The Vanishing Gnome from Welcome to the Hellfire Club, a level 1 dungeon crawl. A gnome has gone missing and a creepy old dungeon in the hills has woken up. Light-hearted with some spooky bits, so good for Halloween. One session, about 3 to 4 hours with a break. Who: Everyone welcome, brand-new players especially. I'll explain as we go. 18+ only. How we play: - Voice on Discord, no camera needed - My own browser tabletop, nothing to install. I'll send the invite link by message - Bring a level 1 character from D&D Beyond (quick import), pick one of the book's ready-made characters, or I'll help you build one before we start - 2024 rules About me: I'm a newish DM, still learning, and I'll be honest about that. Rule of cool wins over rules-lawyering, so if you've got a daft plan, try it. Relaxed, friendly table where nobody gets told off for not knowing the rules. One player's already in. Interested? Comment or message me with your experience (none is fine) and whether you'll bring a character or want a ready-made one. Short notice, I know. If today doesn't suit but you'd like to play another time, message me anyway: I'm putting a regular group together.

DND 5e 2014 rules - Roll 20 - Free

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
I need 3 more players for a DND Im going to run on Sundays at 8:30pm (NZDT or GMT+13) The game will be set in my own homebrew world. We will be using 5e 2014 rules with some optional house rules. I will be using roll 20 for maps, and Discord for voice (i have a private server). My world is set on a different plane of existence parallel to the mortal plane, all sentient inhabitants are anthropomorphic humanoids each based on a different creature. I have my own pantheon and world history, each race has its own lore. There are some things still to be balanced so don't expect perfection. The campaign will be from level 1-5ish but can continue into a long term game if people are happy to. ----------Please no things like trying to bang every NPC you meet and murder hobo's.---------- About me: I will not pull my punches in combat or in consequences for your actions. I will play each NPC and monster to what it is designed to be. Example - if an assassin is targeting your party and you go down he will attack your unconscious body and finish you off. Example 2 - You are rude or offend a noble or royalty, they will seek to punish you sometimes immediately sometimes subtly it depends. Example 3 - You try to rip of a merchant or shopkeeper, they will then warn others of your actions and purposefully raise their prices or refuse service to you until recompense is made. What i expect: Just be respectful to other players and respect the DM's ruling. Be kind lets have fun. Try to keep the swearing down if possible. Try to share the limelight and include others.

The Collector's Exhibit: Halloween One Shot

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
You have received an exclusive invitation to a private gallery hosted by a figure known only as The Collector. Rumours speak of breath-taking artistry and perfectly preserved oddities. But the truth is far more twisted. The Collector is a former adventurer who "saves" people by grafting, peeling, and immortalising them in an eternal, agonising display. Whether you are here to satisfy your morbid curiosity, to exact revenge, or claim the bounty upon The Collector’s head, one thing is certain - you will not leave the exhibit unchanged, if you manage to leave at all. Session Details: 🕰️ 7pm GMT - Availability 31st October 💸 $30 💀 3 hours of terror 💪 Level 11 characters 🧝 Any official class or species 💰 1 rare, 1 uncommon, 1 common magic item + 1 healing potion What to Expect: 🫀 Visceral Puzzles 🩸 Gruesome Combat 🧠 Tense Roleplay 💉 High Stakes Atmosphere Content Warnings: Please note that this is a dark, mature horror session. Player discretion is advised. Graphic body horror, gore, and blood. Themes of torture and non-consensual medical experimentation. If you wish to join please check out the link or drop me a message.

Female DM with 6+ years experience looking for 1 more player who loves to roleplay, delve deep into lore and backstories, and get a kick out of scheming, plotting and exploiting a homebrew open world in a long term weekly DND campaign. In a world where corporations vie over powerful resources, the gods have fallen silent and every choice has consequences - the party has travelled to the land of South Rhodesia where dragons rule in peace. It's the end of the year, the 50th anniversary of Godfall and day of the dead, a festival has taken over the streets of the dragon fort and everyone is ready to celebrate. While we have already begun the adventure, it is not too late to join! We have a barbarian, a monk, a necromancer, a warlock, and a druid who have come together to unravel the mysteries of the crystals which cover this world and save people from the machinations of the mega-corporations.  We are seeking 1 more player to join the party long term, there is still much of the story to unravel. If you enjoy delving deep into lore, roleplaying with the party and with NPCs and exploring the world around you - then this is the group for you. A replacement rail service catapulted our party into the chaos of Fracture, they've fought off train robbers only to become train robbers themselves. In doing so, they discovered a secret slave trade that they are attempting to bring down, whilst working against the corruption of the corporations and trying to (mostly) be the good guys (I think). Amongst the dangers of corporate research, deals with devils and the fury of freedom fighters, they have uncovered something else, something so much deeper and more deadly than the problems on the surface of Heleth - the truth about crystals. As the party seek out answers from silent gods, they wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and where on Heleth it might lead them. New players will be offered a free session 0 which will include a catch up of the story so far and discussion as to how their character will integrate into the party. $20/session Thursdays 7:00pm-10:30pm BST 2014 rules with a few homebrew ones thrown in the mix, open to exceptions and edits. Level 9 Any class or species (except Spelljammer), open to homebrew requests. All backstories will be integrated into the world and story, with each character getting a chance to explore them. So, if magical storms, corrupt corporations, and crystal super weapons sounds like your kind of thing - message me if you want to know more or check out the game listing here.

Paid game

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Campaigned aimed at mature Players, but opened to all experience levels. Session Time: 8PM EDT/EST Monday System: Savage Worlds Adventure Platforms Used: Discord, Roll20 Price: $19 per session Travel the Continent ravaged by war and another conjunction of spheres. World needs heroes like never before, but really best it can hope for, are people trying their best in a shitty situation. If someone enjoys the Witcher games, books and probably not as much with the Netflix series that's the right address. I want to capture more role play heavy, character oriented style of this world. Somewhat on the darker side but in no ways devoid of dry humor and tinge of idealistic optimism. More detail under Campaign Link $10 referal for freshly joining Start Playing

Sequence of The World- The Cycles of Eternity

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Hello my name is Cyn and I plan to run a brand new Homebrew campaign in the world of Terra, an entirely new realm of possibility and opportunity! Quick Campaign overview Schedule: Tbd with player availability, flexible!   Starting Level: the party shall begin at level 3 with standard starting equipment. Price: Free! There is no price to joining this campaign other than the time you choose to commit!   Setting: Full homebrew setting using the base rules of D&D 5e 2014 with no further alterations to the rules. Platform: Maps will be provided with Shard Tabletop and character sheets can either be managed within Shard Tabletop or D&D Beyond (whichever players prefer)! 6 Nations Fight for their Ambitions 6 Countries exist in the world of Terra, and each is ruled in part by a Deity that resides upon the earth instead of the heavens above. The Divine share the land with the mortals they reside over, and no other gods can be heard from the sky above. Below are short descriptions for each of the six nations:   -Revver is the land of eternity ruled over by Lillil, a sleeping Deity that forces the land to change in constant cycles of “curses” and “blessings”. The people of Revver have learned to make the most of their "blessed" time and to except and prepare for the "curses" that shall appear. You wake up from every dream and you have the ability to survive every nightmare.   -Fai’Ren is the land of nature and balance, a Country that Kai’Ren rules from the world tree at the very heart of his nation overseeing every trade, contract, and deal made within his borders. Kai'Ren is a part of nature within Fai'Ren, being the very soul of the forest and every tree, flower, and flora that makes up the massive kingdom, supporting his people with the lands themselves providing them protection, food, and guidance.    -New Demali always steps closer to a brand new age, being the land of progress and development with their Deity Dyak pushing them towards a new frontier at every given moment. Brilliance and innovation have led New Demali to become the most advanced Nation among the six, with no other Country able to match their advances or production scale.   -Coreaf brings law and order to an unjust world, with Aphys, the Deity of law, commanding the people of Coreaf to uphold justice in their lives above everything else. Not a single rule has been changed since the country's creation centuries ago, and like a mountain going throughout the ages of time, they stand unmoving.   -Rybek is the land of war and evolution, its people becoming more monstrous and savage as their Deity Synello continues his crusade across the rest of Terra. Adaptation and strength are the rules that govern Rybek, and any that do not show their worth are used to fuel the growth of the promising. -Seffia is the land of freedom, and the Country has not felt the presence of a deity for hundreds of years since Mildrin left. It is a land built and ruled by the humans that cultivated it and created a kingdom of their own. No mystical rules surround this place, no god deems who is worthy and who is not, and their is no main religion followed. The Beginning of The Journey The Campaign will start in the humble town of Igrithad, a small city that resides in the outskirts of Coreaf. The city Mayor William Wender requests the assistance of adventurers to explore the appearence of new Ruins that have appeared in the Ashkeeper peaks, ones that make strange noises and have even stranger inhabitants... Adventurers travel for all kinds of reasons, may it be a fresh start, an escape, or even a pursuit for glory. This is the first step on that path to greatness!    A Grand Mystery Spreads Across the World of Terra The world of Terra is about to enter a brand new age, and each of the six nations prepare for what is to come... Ruins of past ages appear out of thin air, crops erode and yield no bounty, and magic becomes a rarity to be born with when once it was commonplace. Many questions plague the populace's minds but the powerful provide no answers. Because the world refuses to release its secrets, it is up to brave adventurers to find the truth among the lies!     Joining the World of Terra Each player character that joins the world of Terra shall be personally interconnected with one of the six nations as well as the overarching narrative of the story, giving life to the player characters and their goals throughout a growing narrative! Nations ebb and flow and alliances grow or wane, pushing character dynamics as well as their place within the world constantly in an ever expanding story!   An Entirely New Magical Item System The World of Terra hides secrets from ages past, ages that contain magic never seen by the world as it stands today. An entirely new magic system called The Runes shall be incorporated into the world after the completion of the first quest, bringing an entirely fresh, impactful, and customizable way to empower your character! While I do not wish to spoil the mechanics behind The Rune System if you have any questions or concerns i shall do my best to answer them! Questions and Interest in Joining! If you have any questions about the campaign or the world of Terra feel free to DM me on either Discord or Groupfinder. As said at the beginning the schedule is flexible and it will be the day that best works for the majority of players joining. I look forward to starting a brand new adventure with those interested in the fantasy world of Terra!
